This analysis provides a sharp look at how the rigid mechanics of feudal legitimacy dictate political survival, turning a speculative scenario into a meaningful study of systemic fragility. It effectively illustrates that in power politics, the perception of blood is often more consequential than the blood itself.

What if Rhaeynra Had Trueborn SonsAdded:
The night is dark and full of theories.
What if Reneer's sons were trueborn?
Let's explore the depths of it in the video.
Lighor stands vigil over Joffrey Lawnmouth's body, tears flowing down his face. It might have been a simple accident in the melee, but it still saddened and infuriated him. Pensively, he wraps the guarder that Joffrey had taken off him during the bedding through his fingers. The monotony of the vigil lets Laner's mind start wandering. all of Rene's stories about Allison, how she'd spread rumors of the princess being infatuated with Kristen Cole and even sleeping with him from the time she was young. Rene had admitted that she had liked Sir Kristen and slept with him once, but no more than that. The agreement that he'd made with Rene with that context now made Laner feel that would only create unnecessary dangers.
Even though Rene wasn't to his tastes, he had to do his duty and produce trueborn heirs, if only to protect her.
Perhaps it would allow him to forget about Joffrey. Maybe sighing, Lenar puts the guarder into his pocket and closes his eyes. I'll miss you, Joffrey, but there's a duty I need to do. I hope you can forgive me when I see you again.
Once he's recovered, Lenar walks to Reneer's rooms. His new wife looks up at him, eyes full of sympathy. Feeling desperately alone, Rainor opens his arms toward her. Without further prompting, Rene walks up and gives him a hug. For a long moment, Lighor just holds her, then kisses her forehead. I've been thinking.
Addison has been trying to destroy you for years. We should try as hard as we can to have legitimate children and only legitimate children. Rener nods and kisses his cheek knowing that this wasn't what he would have wanted. Over the next few years, the two produce three Valyrian looking children with Lenor taking an active role in his son's lives. Kristen Cole is shifted as Reneer's sworn shield and Sir Stefan Darklin replaces him. Often Kristen and Lighor pass each other in the halls and a new spark of anger royals inside Lenor when he sees Joffrey's killer. It might have been an accident, but how could he be sure? After Joffrey's birth, Alisant becomes frustrated at her lack of evidence for inappropriate behavior. She had been trying to make sure that Reneer's image was destroyed, but the princess had produced nothing but Valyrian children. She would have to come up with a different avenue. The hostilities break out in the training yard when Sir Christristen starts pushing the Valyrian boys more aggressively.
Leanor steps in and pushes Cole back, hand going to his sword. Step away from my sons, Sir Christristen. It is my duty to train the princlings, unless you think you could do better. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't you only kned so that you could wed the princess. I fought in the Stepstones while you were acting as a glorified bodyguard. Was that you or your giant fireb breathing lizard who did all the fighting? If you fight like that knight of kisses, I would advise leaving the training to Laner's sword comes out and strikes at Kristen. Both men exchange blows until the king's guard pulls them apart. After the altercation, Sir Christristine has moved away from training the Valyrian boys. Wanting to solidify her position, Rene approaches Allison with a possible marriage alliance. Even though she despised Alisad for how she tried to destroy her as a teenager, she needed to ensure the future of her family. Helena also seemed like a sweet girl.
>> Allison, I know that we have had our differences, but I would like to heal the rift between us and join my son Jerusas and your daughter Helena in marriage. Allison tilts her head at her stepdaughter, assessing whether the offer was genuine. She had been trying everything she could to discredit Reneer so that Aegon could be king, and now there was no plausible options to do that. Perhaps this would provide a way of putting her bloodline on the throne and fulfilling their ultimate goal of placing the high tower bloodline on the throne. After taking a few days to consider the proposal, Allison agrees.
After the death of Ray Royce, Damon goes to the Veil to try and secure her holdings for himself. But Jane Aaron rebuffs this attempt to gain Runeststone as well as his attempts to secure the veil support for his continuing war in the Stepstones. Frustrated by this turn of events, Damon takes advantage of an invitation to Drift Mark that he'd received just after news of Freyy's death had reached him. When there he's introduced to Lane of Valyrian by Corus and her mother. Damon acts with every courtesy to the lovely daughter of the sea snake. Then allows Corus to pull them aside. You and I have often seen eye to eye on things, Damon, and I would like to formalize our reliance with a marriage. But I do need your help. She's quite lovely, so I have no issue. Uh, so the chances that we would have dragon riding children does appeal to me.
What's the problem? The former sealord of Braavos's son was engaged to her since your brother rebuked me. However, the lad has proven rather useless and a significant political liability now that his father is dead and the boy essentially is a vagrant in my house.
So, I act at your cat's paw. Well, all right. Might as well do a favor for a friend. How shall I do it? Just show up in black when it comes to the evening meal. He won't be able to stomach the insult.
>> Shrugging, Damon accepts the mission and simply wears black. Due to the culture of Braavos, the seaord's son takes offense and challenges Damon to a duel.
Damon easily kills the FOP, and after a fortnight, he's married to Lena. After the marriage, he decides to set aside his kingdom and instead travels across Essos with Lena. Their time is taken up by diplomatic trips between Pentos and Volantis, ensuring their support against the Triarchy. Both will stay in the two cities, frequently flying between the area on their dragons. Eventually, the twins Baya and Rea are born and Damon requests leave from his brother to come home with his daughters. Now that Damon is married to Lena, and Triraa is safely married to Lenor, Viserius allows him to come back to the capital. When they arrive, Rene becomes fast friends with Lena and gives her a pair of and gives a pair of cradle eggs to Baya and Raina with Moon Dancer hatching soon after.
They also agree to a betroal between Luceris and Bala and if a third son is born to be betrothed to Rea. Often the three will fly their dragons to and from Dragonstone in King's Landing. Reneer frequently circling Vaggar on Cyrax to tease Lena. One afternoon, the two ladies land on a spit of rock, then kick off their shoes and dangle them over the water. After a few minutes of idle conversation, Lena asks how things are going with Lighor.
>> He's very beautiful and takes good care of the children, but we only really make love to have children. It's not what I would have wanted passion-wise, but I've accepted my lot. I'm sorry to hear that.
Is there anybody that you would have married instead?
>> Uh, I shouldn't say.
>> Oh, so you like my husband? There were a few times after he came back from the Stepstones where he stood up for me against Allison's lick spittles. Gods, I hate that woman. He also helped with certain frustrating things so that I didn't do anything stupid. I'm always going to be thankful to him for defending me.
>> He is very dashing. I do like being married to Don. He's very passionate and considerate of me. He wouldn't allow us to travel while I was pregnant, so we didn't risk a miscarriage. He's a good father to our girls. He seems to show Baylor favoritism due to her having a dragon. But there are times where I wonder how invested he is.
>> So, we're both from the same boat, marriages for alliances. Well, at least we have each other.
>> Smiling, Rene leans against Lena, then kisses her cheek. Impulsively, Lena reaches around and turns Rene's face toward her so she can kiss her. Rene is initially surprised, then leans into it.
When they part, Lena rests her forehead against Rea.
>> Like you said, Ray, we have each other, you and me.
>> Smiling, Rene hugs Lena, happy to have a companion after being alone for so long.
Jace and Helena grow up to like each other, even if the young girl is a little shy. Eventually, Helena encourages him and Aean to be friends since she doesn't much like Aegon. So, when the Pink Dread situation comes up, Jace tells off his brothers. Aemon appreciates Jace standing up for him.
Luceris starts gravitating more towards Aegon since the older boy enjoys pranks of that sort. With no rumors regarding the parentage of Reneer's children floating around, Lionel Strong continues to serve his hand with Harwin Strong as the commander of the City Watch. The next few years are uneventful, at least until Lena gets pregnant. Damon and Rene are at her side through the hard birth, but sadly it ends in tragedy when Lena's baby is born dead and malformed. Lena is bedridden for days, often fading in and out of consciousness. Finally, she tries climbing the steps of the tower to get to Vagar. Damon and Rene run up beside her and try to help her. Lena, you need to rest.
>> I need to fly. I need to get to Vega just one more time.
>> Those are her last words. After Lena collapses into his arms, Damon carries Lena's body to her parents, accompanied by Rene and Lighor. After the funeral comes, Baceris and the rest of the royal family sailed to debt drift mark. After an off-handed remark from his father about claiming a hatchling if he's bold enough, Aean decides to prove just how bold he is. In the dead of night, he sneaks into where Vagar is resting, concerned for his safety. Baby Joffrey attempts to stop him, but Aean tells him to be quiet and then runs toward Vaggar.
The great dragon looks down at Aean, memories of an old friend rising in her mind as Aean climbs up onto her back and urges her into the sky. For a few minutes, Aean lets himself enjoy being the most powerful person in the world.
Vaggar roars and circles the island a few times, then comes to land back in the stables. When he does, Jace and the others are waiting for them. At first, Aean thinks they're going to attack him.
Then Jace and the other boys run up and congratulate him, sighing. Aemon relaxes as Jacece and the other boys pat him on the back. Rather than leave for Essos, Damon remains in King's Landing with Baya and Raina, as well as Jace and Luke. Luke and Aegon become inseparable just as Aemon and Jace, both boys treating their Valyrian nephews like little brothers.
Helena and Jace slowly become friendlier. And after a courtship, they're married. Now that she's sure her line will be on the throne. Ellison does her best to ensure that there is support for Jace and Helena. Aegon and Luke spend their time in the taverns and underground fighting pits. The older boy even trying to get his young nephew to sleep with a prostitute, but Luke waves him off. Sorry, Uncle Egg, but none of these girls are comparable to the girl I want. Come on, Luke. Getting some early experience can only help. Besides, what she doesn't know won't hurt her. Nah, I want her to be special. Just me and the girl I love. That's not love. That's heat. You're a cynic. Unabashedly. It's the only way to never be disappointed.
More time passes and Viseris' health deteriorates. Finally, the king dies and Rene is crowned queen with Lenor as her prince consort and Damon as her hand.
Now that he's in power, Lighor finally gets his revenge on Sir Christristen by sending him to the wall for his murder of Joffrey Lawnmouth. After the coronation, Aman is named master of laws and Jace is placed in an advisory position so he can learn how to rule.
Aegon sits in a loc tavern, slowly drinking his way through a flag of arbor gold. When he's almost finished, Luke sits down next to him with a hooded and cloaked Raina, joining them. Aegon ignores the hooded woman and gives his nephew a half-hearted clap on the shoulder. Uncle Egg, what are you doing here? We've been looking all over the palace for you. Because there's no place for me. Ammon is going to be making people absolutely miserable with puritanical laws, and you're going to be lord of Driftmark and fabulously rich with an attractive wife. So, that being said, my situation is quite simple, nephew. I'm here because this is the only place where I fit, and so I am content to spend the rest of my days at the bottom of a wine cup and in a wh house. Either way, I'm of no bother to anyone. Now, if you would be so kind, please make the purpose of your visit quick so I can get back to wallowing in self-loathing before I eventually start staring into the abyss and slip slowly into madness. Well, Uncle Egg, me and Raina have been thinking. An incredibly dangerous pastime. You really should avoid that. Yes, yes, I know. Anyway, I'm off to explore Essos, and I want you to come with me. You need a minder, don't you? Uh, yes. It was the only way mother would agree. Thought so. Why me?
Well, you see, I >> Because you're not doing anything important, and you're likely the only person who look the other way.
>> Look the other way. Wait, unless I'm mistaken, you're with the wrong twin.
Oh, you dirty little trunk. So, this is the girl you've been pining over. I wondered why you wouldn't say the name.
Yes. Me and Raina love each other, and we want to run off together. She doesn't want to marry Joffrey since he's still a child. Ba is nice, but she's not for me.
H. So, my sweet sister has no idea about this part of things. I'm not just the only available option who'll come. I'm the only one who will ignore you two breaking your betroals and possibly even rotting around. Yes, that's that's accurate. Are you insane? Just go to Dragonstone, find someone private, and do the deed a few times, and get married to her after. Seems like an unnecessary set of steps. And why are you even going to all this trouble? They look exactly the same. For God's sake, we're running away, Uncle Egg. For good. I want you to come with me. It would mean a lot.
>> Aegon takes a long breath, then turns his gaze to his cup. Luke and Raina exchange looks, then move to walk away.
Why me?
>> We respect you, Egg. We don't want you wallowing here. Luke thinks the world of you and hates the idea of you simply spending your time at the bottom of a cup.
>> You're my best friend, Egg. I can't think of anybody I'd rather have come with me.
When are you leaving? Tonight at the hour of the owl. Oh, [ __ ] You're not wasting time. If I'm not there, then go without me. Luceris tries to convince his uncle, but Aegon turns back to contemplating his empty cup. Rea ends up pulling him away, and they make their way out of the inn. For a long time, Aegon simply sits there. Then, to clear his head, he finds a prostitute, enjoys her services to get some mental clarity back, then starts walking through the streets. Luceris had been so genuine when saying he wanted to come with him, and the pleading in his nephew's eyes tugged at Aegon. Finally, he walks to a tent shop. I shall have your finest tent. How much? In the middle of the night, Luceris and Raina run into the dragon pit carrying their supplies.
Their dragons, Arax, and Silverwing rise up and prowl towards them, then allow their riders to place their supplies onto their backs. Once they've equipped their dragons, they wait for Aegon to arrive. And they wait, and they wait.
Soon the hour gets close. Luceras is crestf fallen that his uncle didn't come, then prepares to take off. Raina does her best to comfort Luceris, but but he still looks dejected. At almost the last possible minute, Aegon runs through the doors, carrying a number of large packs on his back and under his arm. Wake the hell up. Sorry, I nearly slept in. Terrible hangover. Luceris jumps off his dragon and embraces his uncle, which Aegon returns. After he lets him go, Aegon pushes one of his bags into Luke's arms. Much as I appreciate the gratitude, I prefer a more pragmatic gesture. Help me with Sunfire in my bags.
>> Eagerly, Luke takes the bags and helps strap them to Sunfire's back along with the sacks. Together, the three dragons leap into the sky and fly out toward the east. When it's discovered that the air apparent to Drift Mark, the drunken prince, and the Han's daughter have departed in the dead of night, despite a letter saying that the three of them were going to Essos, Reneer immediately sends out word to find them. Ammon immediately volunteers, but Rene knows his dislike for Aegon and Luke from when they were boys. So instead, she sends Don and Jace after them. The three dragons fly across the Narrow Sea, arriving at Pentos within the day. After staying for the day to resupply, they make sure to depart from Pentos in the middle of the day and fly to the north toward Norvos. Once they're out of sight, the three companions double back south, keeping their travels at night so that nobody can know where they are.
Eventually, they reach some hills close to Roy River and hunker down there. When they have found a suitable place, they set up their tents. Aegon rolls his eyes as the two lovers set up their own singular tent, then starts fumbling to make his own. Damn [ __ ] frustrating thing. Why doesn't it come with some bloody instructions? Finally, he manages to put it up, though he's not sure he did it properly since there are pieces of the tent that sag. Pleased with himself, Aegon stands up and looks back.
Then, he stares at the professionally setup tent. How? What? Never mind. As soon as nightfalls, Aegon starts hearing noises from the tent. Groaning, Aegon puts his pillow over his head, trying to block out the sounds that are rapidly increasing in volume so he can get some sleep. It does not help that the cot is less than comfortable. Finally, he can't take it anymore and yells at the two lovers. Would you two please be quiet?
Some people, namely me, are trying to sleep. You asked me to come on this mad trip, so you can at least do me the courtesy of doing your ruting in something resembling reasonable volumes.
>> Put some blankets in your ears or something. I have. You're too loud. Now, please just be quiet. Don't make me grab a bucket of water from from somewhere to fling on you both. For a while, they do get somewhat quieter. Then, they go right back to being loud, probably assuming that he was asleep, muttering an irritation, Aegon walks away so that he is out of earshot and finds a tree that he can sit against. Taking a long breath, Aegon looks up at the stars seriously for the first time. King's Landing was always suffused with smoke.
But here the air was clear and the stars were on full display. Aegon takes a long moment to just look at the beauty above him. Sighing, Aegon shifts so that he can lie down and look at the stars. A loud musical call makes Aegon's head turn as Sunfire prowls toward him. Once he gets close, the beautiful golden dragon nuzzles Aegon's chest. Smiling, Aegon scratches his dragon under the jaw as Sunfire settles around him. For the rest of the night, Aegon starts naming the constellations, then shifts to make up his own. Slowly, his eyes drift shut.
When he wakes up, Aegon's back feels horribly stiff. But when he does, he sees the sunrise over the flat plains.
For a moment, he forgets the cramps in his back and just stares at the flourish of vibrant colors that spray across the horizon. What all have I missed being in the city, Egg? Oh, there you are. We were wondering where you went. Your mutual cattle whailing has resulted in my enjoying the wonders of nature, so I must thank you for that experience. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or serious.
>> Aegon grins and stands up, then clutches his backside as pain flashes through him. Grimacing in pain, he limps over to Luceras and pats him on the shoulder before walking to his tent. Now that they were shot of King's Landing and had quite a significant head start, they had to decide what to do. Likely, they had been discovered and pursuit was inevitable. So, after some deliberation, the three of them decide to fly toward the far east. Luceris wants to explore Valyria, but Aegon flatly refuses. He had agreed to this little trip, and he wasn't about to go on a suicide mission where dying with fireworms eating their way out of him was a high possibility.
Finally, they decide to simply keep going east, probably out somewhere in the Painted Mountains. Now that they're decided, the companions take off and fly toward Volantis. Damon and Jace search the area around Braavos and Pentos, trying to find the three truents.
Slowly, both princes start growing more and more irritated to having to chase after the misgreants until after a chat with one of the magesters of Pentos.
They discovered that the dragons had been heading north toward Norvos. Damn them. What the [ __ ] is in Norvos of all places? Who knows? Do you think that perhaps they're trying to find some place to settle? That would be incredibly politically dangerous. Your grandfather was adamant the dragons would not be allowed to spread outside of Westeros so no one could try resurrecting the Valyrian Freehold. Our main issue is we don't know what they want to do exactly. Are they simply running off on an adventure for a few weeks? Are they actually thinking about starting a new life here? That would make a whole lot of sense. Even though he is breaking the betroal to Baylor, he's still with her sister. Also, he's turning down a spectacular amount of wealth if he's looking to give up Drift Mark and High Tide. It's all a stupid mess. So, do we split up to cover more ground? I'm not letting you go herring off alone. Your mother has already had one son run off, likely to vanish into the depths of Essos. If I happen to lose you, I might as well never come back to Westeros. She would probably be understanding. I think if I were to misplace or worse, have you die on me and I return to Westeros, I'm going to have to worry about getting stabbed in my bed, poisoned, or otherwise shuffled off this mortal coil. So needless to say, I'd rather not stay awake all night or have all my food and wine tested for the rest of my life. Jace wants to argue, but Damon points to a map, explaining that they will be traveling in a straight line, but they will spread out so that they can have the maximum line of sight. Jaceras agrees and they start the new searching strategy the next day. While Damon and Jace fly toward Norvos and Cohor, the three companions fly toward Volantis. When they arrive, they're hosted by several of the nobility of Volantis. Many of them were old friends of Don and Lena from their time in Essos. Now that they're in a city and believe they're somewhat safe, Luke and Raina seek out red priests so they can be wed. Aegon grins as the two are married in the local temple. They enjoy a feast hosted by one of the wealthy families. Many of the Valentine lords ask them to stay in the city, and even a few introduce their daughters to Aegon as an incentive to remain. Not wanting to be unnecessarily tied down. Aegon fobs them off with a lie about being betrod to a girl in Westeros. After a few days, they promise to visit again and give support in Atlantis if the triarchy makes any moves against them. The three companions fly east toward the painted mountains. As the smoking sea comes into view, the Saras gives a longing look toward the ruins of old Valyria. No. No. [ __ ] no. Don't even think about it. You're not going in there. What? How long have we known each other? Almost two decades.
I know exactly when you're going to do something mad. Mainly because I was doing just as many mad things and you joined me. Now, I'm saying definitely going into that hellscape is a level of crazy that even I am not willing to do.
Come on, it'll be fun. You and I have very different definitions of fun.
There's something in there that almost killed Bolyrian. I may be a fool, but I intend to be alive fool. As if on a whim, Raina flies toward the ruins on Silverwing. A grin on her face, calling back to them to catch her if they can.
Aegon purses his lips angrily and points a quivering finger at Luceris. The younger man quailes, this is all your fault. Don't blame me. I blame you.
Well, we better go after her. If she dies in there or worse, suffers Arya's fate, Don is going to kill us both in a very gruesome fashion. You'll probably die first, which will be very upsetting to me to have to watch. Thank you so much for your consideration, Alec.
You're quite welcome. It's my job to look after you after all. When this gets done, I'm going to shake some sense into that stupid girl. I hate having to be forced to be a hero. I'm not good at it.
Raina flies through the smoking ruins, drifting above the wreck of the greatest civilization the world has ever seen. It looked incredible, even in its state of destruction. Several metallic buildings still reached for the sky, though they were more like broken grasping claws.
Now, as she passes over what looks like a massive temple, probably the Anogrian, something enormous emerges from the ruins, hissing a black and purple serpentine creature as long as Vagar snakes its head out of the ruins, followed by its large fork claws and its sineuous body. As it gets closer, the creature lets out a strange almost singing sound. Rea's eyes glaze over as the beast gets closer, its ma opening wide. Seeing the monster get close to Raina, Luceris and Aegon attack, unleashing blasts of fire into the beast. Rea slaps back to reality when the monster lets out a howl of pain and tries to snatch the other two dragons out of the air. Shrieking, Sunfire smashes into the creature's neck and starts ripping into it with its claws and talons. While Arox torches the monster's side, bellowing, the behemoth writhes and bucks, trying to dislodge Sunfire off its neck. At that point, Rea swerves away and has Silverwing blast the creature with her own jet of flame.
Now that they're sure she's safe, Aegon and Luceras disengage and fly backward right as the monster opens its m. Purple flames build inside its throat and then blast outward in a jet of fire as wide as Blackwater Bay.
>> Oh sh!
>> The dragons swerve around the blast of ethereal fire, trying to evade the monster's fire. The creature seems to be the personal target, as if it knew that Sunfire had inflicted several deep cuts in its neck. Swearing viciferously, Aegon swerves. Then he sees something as the giant monster sucks in a breath to blast at them again. It had a weakness, and it was similar to Aegon's own weakness. They both had big mouths. All right, Sunfire, you ready to do something really stupid? As his old friend shrieks, causing the creature to turn toward him. Nothing for it. Aegon yells the command and Sunfire opens his jaw and unleashes a jet of fire right down the monster's m. The flames mix with the monster's own fire and explode in the creature's throat. With a loud boom, the fire blasts out of the sides of the monster's throat, decapitating the huge lizard and dropping the head to the ground. [ __ ] that actually worked.
>> Sunfire drifts down towards the corpse, then lands on its back and lets out a roar of triumph. Arax and Silverwing respond with their own agilation. Aegon looks down at the creature, feeling a strange sense of accomplishment. And Raina land on a set of buildings, both of them staring in odd Aegon, seeing their amazement. Aegon actually starts pining. Nobody had ever looked at him like a hero before. And right now, they might as well be looking at the conqueror himself.
>> Thank you. Thank you, Raina. Next time you want to do something incredibly stupid, do it when I'm not there so I don't run after you.
>> Thank you, Egg. I don't know what came over me. It was like the thing had me mesmerized.
>> Well, no harm done. Now, why don't we get the hell out of here, but what about the treasure? What [ __ ] treasure? I wouldn't go any further into this damn hellscape for a million gold dragons.
How about a 100 million? What? Look over there. The whole building that thing was living in is filled with treasure. And And looks like there's quite a few Valyrian steel swords and at least five sets of armor in there and a lot of golden jewels. Upon further reflection, I've decided that staying for the purpose of plundering this bitch's lair is a good idea. Heroism isn't cheap after all. I demand half.
>> How about as much as you can carry? Fair counter offer. The three urge their dragons inside the temple and clear the ruins before they dismount and start stuffing their pockets and saddle bags with treasure. At one point, Aegon finds a sword with a lion head pommel topping a golden hilt. Grinning, he rests the weapon on his shoulder and stashes it on Sunfire, then grabs a chest and starts shoveling treasure into it. Luceris and Raina grab their own chests and do the same. Finally, they load up their dragons and fly off toward the east. Don and Jace hear the distant sounds of battle coming from the smoking sea as they fly past Volantis. Both of them exchange worried looks. Do you think they were actually that stupid? Yes.
Yes, I do. Seven hells. We need to go after them. Yes. Yes, we do. What are the chances? Beyond abysmal. Sighing.
The two princes fly toward Valyria.
They're unable to see anything through the smoke beyond the outline of a huge corpse. No dragons or a pair of runaway princes and a princess. Infuriated Damon smacks the saddle. so hard that his knuckles ache. Glancing around, Damon tries to decide where to go. His quarry could be anywhere at this point except west or north since that's where he and Jace had come from. They were likely heading toward the east. Slavers Bay, the Dothraki Sea, Old Giz. Slowly, Damon drags his fingers down his face and stares into the distance. When I get my hands on those little idiots. After several days of flying, the three arrive at the border of Astapore. Not wanting to draw any more attention, the three go into the city without their dragons.
When they do, the runaways buy new clothes and start exploring the city.
It's a rather ugly place, and they only stay long enough to purchase some silks.
Unfortunately, the three Valyrian looking people with a lot of money and no entourage sparks quite a bit of interest from both the masters and the criminal empments. They determine to find out who they are and where they got the money from. When night comes, the runaways settle in the second floor of a large tavern and start eating the local food. So, where to next? Sonor, the Dothraki Sea, or Yei? I think Hei might be good. My grandfather talks about it endlessly, and I'd love to see the aisle of Lang and the other great cities he talked about. Are we ever going to give any thought to going home? I imagine that Jason Lannister would like to have Bright Royal returned, and the reward for returning it could possibly be half of the Golden Castilly Rock. I'm fond of the sword since I did win it after all, but I'd be willing to part with it for the right. Aegon, that's a bit ridiculous.
>> All right, just a quarter then, annually.
>> The other two laugh, and they see a group of Astapori guards enter the room on what looks to be official business.
When the guards see the runaways, they walk over to the three.
>> You three have caused quite the stir.
You're clearly from Westeros by your accents, and you have a great deal of money, but you look like Valentine, so that means that you're from the royal family. Don't know what you're talking about. We are a set of wanderers just staying here for the night. Do not insult my intelligence, Westerosi. All right, fine. In truth, I'm a belly dancer named Molina. Luceris and Raina cover their mouths and try not to choke on their laughter while the Astapori officials stare at Aegon. The younger man just shrugs and picks up his cup.
Oh, I wear a veil. It's quite tasteful.
Are you mocking me? No, I would dream of. Aegon smashes the cup right into the Estaporia official's face, causing him to stumble before drawing Brightroar and slashing wildly with it. Luceras draws his own weapon and attacks while Raina pulls out a crossbow and fires it.
Unfortunately, Aegon isn't terribly skilled with a sword, while Luceris is only average. Thinking quickly, Aegon looks around and then runs to a window and breaks it with bright roar. After looking down at the ground, he sees that there's a wagon full of carpets. After yelling at Luceris and Raina to follow him, Aegon leaps onto the carpet wagon.
Luceris and Raina follow soon after, sliding off the carpets. A pair of guards prepare to chase them, but Aegon grabs a rock and throws it at the backside of their horse. Screaming in pain, the animal gallops forward into the street right as the man jumps. Aegon and Luceras winced as the man lands right on his face, a sickening crunch accompanying the impact.
>> Do you think he's dead? Do you want to find out? Not really. Smart thinking.
Let's go. At that point, a group of what looks like foot pads run toward them.
Not wanting to stick around, Aegon grabs his friends with the arms and drags them out into the street. The three runaways take off at a dash as the guards start chasing after them. Desperately, Aegon starts yelling, "Sonfire, help."
>> He had no idea if his dragon would even hear him. Probably not, but but any port in a storm. As they keep running, Aegon starts grabbing random pieces of merchandise from the stalls and throws them at the guards who keep chasing them. Luceras and Raina start following his example and do their best to obstruct the enemy. Where are we going?
No idea. Just so long as it's away from them. What about the ones in front of us? What? Oh, [ __ ] me. All three of them skid to a halt as a group of unsullied line up in front of them. Aegon hefts bright roar, looking around for an escape. Slowly, the Estapori closing around them and Aegon puts himself between Luceras and Raina. Maybe he could create a gap for them. Taking a long breath, Aegon raises his sword and prepares to charge. I'm going to make a break for it through that group on the left. It's got the thinnest line. If I run at them and cut through them, you and Raina can escape while I hold them off. Egg, you'll die. It's all right.
I'm all right with it. I'm just happy you two will be safe. Get ready to run like hell. Without another word, Aegon runs at the group of Unsullied with bright roar in hand. Right before he makes contact, a roar proceeds, sunfire dropping from the sky and blasting the Unsullied with torrents of fire. The beautiful gold dragon lands in the street and shrieks at the Aapori, causing them to back away, sagging in relief that he wouldn't have to die.
Aegon ushers them onto the dragon and takes off. When they arrive at their own dragons, Luceris and Raina get on Silver Wing and Arax. Then they take off toward the east. As they do, fire starts spreading through Astapar. When they get to a safe distance away, Raina and Luke embrace Aegon.
>> That was so brave of you.
>> Really, don't mention it. Raina's right, Uncle. That was one of the bravest things I've ever seen. I'm serious. Me, too. Don't mention it ever to anyone. I have a reputation to maintain. I have no bloody hero, and that's never going to change. When Don and Luceris arrive in Marine, they hear the reports of a gold dragon attacking Astapor and scooping up a trio of Valyrian looking wanderers from several refugees from a slave city.
Don immediately demands to know if they know what direction they went. They do not have any answers other than the dragon that had left and they'd been too focused on putting out the fire. I'm this close to simply abandoning this stupid venture. But you're not because you're too proud. Yes, precisely correct. So, what now? Do we just keep going east? We may have to. But where?
ET. Well, where else? The Dothraki. Do you think Aegon would actually put himself in that level of danger? Drunken Sock probably doesn't have it in him.
I'm going to beat him with an inch of his life. Here, Manduk. They're going to run out of Essos at some point. Unless they don't know we're following them.
That could be to our advantage. The problem is there's no way to track them.
We just need to keep going and hopefully figure out where the hell they are. The red waist stretches out all around the three runaways as they land near a large lake. Before Aegon can do anything, Raina and Luceris strip down to their undergarments and leap in. Come on, that's our drinking water you're ruining. For God's sake. Come on, hero.
Let's have some fun. Sighing, Aegon capitulates and jumps into the water so he can swim around with his two friends.
For the rest of the day, the three runaways splash each other. Rainar and Luke getting on Aegon's shoulders and generally roughousing. Finally, they set up their tents and refill their water flaggins. The next day, they start discussing where to go. Finally, they decide that ET was their best option.
Thus agreed, they set out toward the east. After a few days, the three exit the Red Waist to see a huge jungle stretching out below them. Aegon strokes the hilt of Brightroar, looking down at the mass of foliage. Initially, Luke and Raina want to land inside the jungle, but Aegon has heard of the basilisks that rove the wild areas of ET and doesn't want to go near that sort of danger. The three runaways continue flying, passing over the jungle and soaring above, massive sprawls of farmland. Then they see it, an enormous city. The whole thing stretching for miles and miles, dwarfing King's Landing and even Aapore of Volantis with its size. The buildings were also huge, towering over even something like Storm's End. The people below them yell and mill in distress as the three dragons swoop above them. Aegon and the others try to explain that they're not going to hurt anyone, but they don't speak the language, so that becomes a problem. Finally, an official who does speak the common tongue arrives and demands to know who they are. After introductions are made, the officials tune becomes rather obsquious. Allow me to formally invite you to our palace of my master, God Emperor Lao Khan, so that he may afford you the hospitality deserving of three dragon lords. Aren't there three god emperors? There is only one God Emperor of Yeti and two other pretenders. But that is of no matter.
Come to the palace. Aegon, Luceras, and Raina exchange looks, then they deliberate for a few minutes. After finishing discussing their options, they decide to accept the offer. When they come into the massive hall of the palace, they're attired in local attire.
Black and gold for Aegon, black and teal for Luceras and Lena. Aegon rests his hand on Britroar's hilt. Luceris plays with the pommel of his own weapon, Seafire. After they are announced, the servant guides them to the high table where the god emperor sits. The feast is unlike anything they've ever had.
Strange fruits, squids, meats that had strange spices and sauces lthered on top. Aegon looks around for wine, but they don't seem to have any.
Disappointed, he looks around and meets the eye of a finely dressed lady. Aegon smiles and raises his cup, then drinks.
Immediately, he coughs and nearly spews the liquid. Coughing, Aegon smacks his chest and then tries to find something else to drink. Finally, he finds something approaching decent, and after a few drinks, finds himself a little bit tipsy. Sighing with relief, Aegon starts drinking, enjoying a fine vintage of wine for the first time in a long time.
After the feast, Aegon and the other two are escorted to their rooms. Taking a long breath, Aegon sinks into the bed.
That feels so damn good. Oh, [ __ ] Who's knocking at this time of night? Luke, if you're waking me up after I just laid down, I'll give you such a clout.
>> Still muttering, Aegon opens the door to reveal the finely dressed girl. Aegon makes a pleased face, then welcomes her in.
>> So, uh, what is your name?
>> My name is Lo Kurigin. I am the daughter of the god emperor. I need your help.
>> Ah, with what?
>> I am in the throws of love and you're the only one who can help.
>> I do hope that you don't mean me, though I would be quite flattered.
>> Oh, no. It's not like that. As a man in another kingdom, a prince that I am infatuated with. I met him a long time ago. And now, with your help, I can marry him.
>> Oh, thank the gods. I would have questioned your taste and your uh sanity if you meant me. So, how do you need me to help?
>> You and your friends have weapons unlike anything UT has ever seen. Your dragons can destroy armies, and those weapons and armor sets give you an air of invulnerability. If you help me and my prince, we will be happy to reward you with honors and wealth. Please, I am trapped here, and my father is going to marry me after one of his allies. Aegon runs his hand over his face just like Luceras and Raina. But this would have even more consequences. This was a level of kingdom politics that he wasn't ready for. He was no bloody hero and now he was forced to be one unless he walked away. Not quite knowing what to do, he asks for her to give him time to think.
She nods and walks out. When she leaves, Aegon tries to fight through the haze of wine, making it hard to think. Aegon would have to talk about it with Luke and Raina. Honestly, he should just tell them to go take care of this himself.
When that thought pops into his slightly adult mind, Aegon snaps his fingers and tries to stand up. Immediately, his head starts to swim and he drops backward.
Tomorrow, he could take care of it.
Luceras and Raina are having lunch when a redeyed and rumpled looking Aegon walks in, one hand on the side of his head. Luceris gets him a seat, which Aegon accepts. After they ask how he's doing, Aegon groans and runs a hand across his eyes.
>> We may have a problem. I talked to the princess and uh she asked me for well our help getting her out of an unwanted betroal to the boy she's in love with.
I'm thinking that I might have to go ahead with it, but I think you two should leave. Why, Egg, if you're staying to fight, so are we. You both have lives ahead of you. I don't. This isn't your fight. It's not yours either.
But you're doing it because I'm expendable. You're not expendable. Not to me. You're a bloody hero. I'm no bloody hero.
>> You keep saying that, but I don't believe you anymore. You claim you're a useless drunk, but you've always pointed out the beauty of nature around us. You claim that you're no bloody hero, and yet you're the first one to jump into danger. You've shown just as much bravery as anybody could ask for.
>> No, I'm not. I have no idea what you're talking about.
>> You flew in and killed that monster in Valeria.
>> Blind luck and desperation. You were going to charge in and cut our way through. Our madness came over me and thankfully it passed. The point of this whole argument is to let you know that if you stay, we stay. We're a fellowship, the three of us. If you want to help, we'll stand next to you. Aegon blinks and swallows. Then he gives his friends a hug. That night, the three of them slip out of their rooms and head to their dragons. Aegon and Sunfire fly past the princess's rooms and get her to climb onto the Golden Dragon's back and fly off. Alarm bells start ringing behind them, but it's too late. After several hours of flying, the three of them arrive at the prince's palace on the island of Lang. Soon after the prince and princess are reunited, the lovers are married. After the marriage vows are said, the god emperor declares his intention to bring his daughter back by force. With only a small army by comparison to the god emperor, the prince is forced into a dilemma.
Sighing, Aegon offers to give his support to the prince's cause, followed by Luceris and Raina. The prince thanks them profusely and promises them rich rewards on top of what they had already been promised. When the prince's army marches out, they're joined by the three runaways on their dragons. Aegon looks down at him, clad in one of their suits of Valyrian steel plate. Bright roared his side. It felt strange, like he was a child dressed up in his father's clothing, but it made him feel like a king. Luceris and Raina seemed much more comfortable in their own suits, which made Aegon a little jealous. During the march, Ax serves as their scout, allowing them to safely move through the jungles and planes without fear of ambush. While Sunfire and Silverwing fly above the army, other warlords, officials, cells swords, briggins, and other forces either flee from the army or join in in hopes of receiving plunder. Eventually, the enemy army comes into view, right as the storm starts to break. During the most violent hour of the Tempest, the two armies clash, pulling up their hoods. Aegon and his friends take to the sky and unleash their dragons on the God Emperor's forces. Sunfire and Silverwing do most of the damage, while Arox acts as eyes in the sky for the commanders on the ground to direct troop movements.
Finally, the God Emperor's army is routed, and the prince's army is victorious. Aegon watches the enemy run off, stroking the hilt of Brightroar.
After their victory, Aegon and the other two are each given a ship filled with saffron, silks, and gold. Now that they have the ship, Aegon and the others now have a choice. Do they finally go back to Westeros, or do they keep on traveling around Essos? They will need to go back at some point and now that they have a small fleet, and they were close comparatively to Westeros. After staying there for a few days, the approach of two more dragons caused the runaways to look up as Caraxis and Vermax descend on Lang. Aegon and his friends are eating a meal with the older man enjoying a smoking pipe. Looking thunderous, Damon dismounts his dragon and points at Aegon. You damned truent.
A merry [ __ ] hunt you led me on. And now I find you feasting, drinking, and and are you smoking that? Yes, it's called hashish. Wonderful stuff. I'm going to be taking several casks back to Westeros. And when were you planning on doing that? Sometime this year, I hope.
Oh, don't worry, Uncle. Everything is fine. Your daughter and son-in-law are all right. They're actually a pair of heroes around these parts. Also, we are now stupidly rich and likely to get richer once we give this to Jason Lannister. They'll be sad to give this old boy up, but it is their family heirloom after all. Damon's eyes widen when Aegon casually holds up bright roar, then proceeds to take a deep breath from his pipe. Raina and Luke look on slightly uncomfortable as Damon's glare flicks from them to Aegon.
Jace just looks mildly irritated. You are all coming back to Westeros, and that is final. And you, Aegon, I suppose I shouldn't have expected a drunken, feckless lout like you to don't talk to him like that. He's a hero. He killed a giant monster in Valyria. Almost gave his life trying to save me and Raina and Astapor, then rescued a princess and helped win a war in a single battle.
Both Damon and Jayce stare at Aegon, who looks mildly put out at being the center of attention. Breathing out slowly, Damon places his hand on his hips and shakes his head in amazement. Theas and Raina both stumble over themselves talking about their adventures and about how Aegon had proven himself. Each story makes the two princes eyes grow wider and Aegon's embarrassment rises. When it's all finished, Don gives Aegon an appraising look. Much as I prefer to deny that ever happened. Yes, it did in fact happen the way they said it did.
Whatever happened, you were all coming back with me, and I'm finished flying all over creation searching for you.
Fine. Why don't we complete the hattick and keep going east? You're not [ __ ] serious, are you? It seems a waste to backtrack, and I imagine that it's a much faster trip to Casterly Rock east than west. Damon can't argue with that logic. Once the ships are prepared, the five dragon riders fly out, accompanying their three treasure ships. After a few months of sailing, they arrive in Lannisport. The silks, saffron, and other goods sell quickly, filling the vessels full of gold. When Jason Lannister hears of the princes, he quickly invites them to meet with him.
Reluctantly, Aegon unbuckles Brightar and offers it to Jason. We found this in old Valyria, and we thought that you would like it returned. Brightro, my prince, this gift is beyond any. What do you wish of me? Name it and you shall have it. Uh, well, I've grown a bit attached to all Bright Roar, so might I trade you for it? Trade? What? What you mean? Yes, we have several Valyrian steel swords. Uh, how many do we have, Luke? Six, last I checked. Uh, six swords. I'd be happy to trade you one of them for Brightar along with, so I don't know, 1 million gold dragons. Two swords and you shall have a deal. Aegon looks down at Brightroar, then smiles and shakes Jason's hand. After letting the lord of Casterly Rock pick the two swords he wants, the five dragon riders leave. Their prophets are transported under heavy guard to King's Landing.
When Rene has them brought to the throne room, she immediately hugs Luke and Rea, then gives Aegon a glare, then sees that there's something different about Aegon.
He seems more confident and bright roar on his hip looks like it fits him.
Allison sees the change in her son as well. Yes, it's my fault for not stopping them, but it was honestly the best time I ever had. I helped two lovers get married, not once, but twice.
Killed a giant monster, charged a group of unsullied with just my sword and a load of stupid courage, and I spearheaded a war that will change the course of history in UT. I even I even pretended to be a belly dancer.
>> What? How? When? Why? Never mind. I don't want to know.
>> Probably wise. Anyway, your grace, I do apologize, but but now that I've returned your son and new daughter to you safe and sound, I want to take care of my dragon. Rene and Allison stare at Aegon. Rather than wait for the queen to dismiss him, Aegon bows and walks out of the room. He immediately goes down to the dragon pit and starts stroking Sunfire. In return, the golden dragon purr and nuzzles him. Aegon sides in relief. It feels good to be home. Later that year, Aegon is wed to one of Jason Lannister's daughter, Serella, which he is happy enough with. With all of the money he's made from the trip, Aegon builds his own castle and city just at the north of the Blackwater Rush, naming it Breitfire Keep. Luceras and Aegon become business partners, sending out fleets across the world, often flying with their dragons to the various free cities and to UT. Rea comes with them as well. Though eventually after she gets pregnant, Luke starts entrusting more and more endeavors to Aegon's hands. The older man is happy to do that for his nephew and soon more and more gold starts flowing into the coffers of to drift mark and brightfire keep. After Reira passes, Jerus Targaryen assumes the iron throne with Helena as his queen and his trusted friend Aman as his hand.
That's our theory. Westeros is a land filled with exciting stories and possibilities and we love exploring them. If you want to accompany us on this journey across the seven kingdoms and beyond, then please like, share, and subscribe to our channel.
