Hudson Young, that's who they've missed. They missed him obviously last week. So, thoroughly uh thoroughly enjoyed this game.

So, uh terrific game from the Melbourne Storm. the CHS just for whatever reason just struggle against them. I think they've only won one of the last sort of six or seven, but >> uh I don't know whether it was origin hangover. The roosters players looked a bit flat up, >> you know, and like as you said, the form is they struggled against the storm, they struggled against the Panthers and they've struggled in the wet a little bit. I don't know whether it's, you know, they try to push the pass, try to finesse a little bit too much, but yeah, that's been their kryptonite.

Latrell Mitchell out of State of Origin 2 with a back, which is it's a massive blow. It really is. And Patty Carrian uh is in doubt as well. We saw after the game he was in a moon boot. Uh there it is. So unlikely to play State of Origin 2. Big blow for Queensland. So uh and what about it, boys? New South Wales 2220 OVER CODY. LOOK, I know you're a proud blue and it's, you know, hard to sort of talk about, but I must say, and I no one would disagree, the first half for New South Wales. We were down 20 to six, 20 nil at one point. It actually flattered us. It's one of the probably one of the worst performances I've seen in State of Origin that first half.

[00:27:24]We've been stuck in the in stuck in the barriers if we're talking about horse racing uh vernacular. So, I don't know what happens. I don't know whether what happens in the warm-up or what, but it was game two and game three last year, now game one here.

[00:27:40]They they're going out there, but they just got the jump. Queensland just seem to get the jump on us. Their line speed was quicker than ours whole game. Uh defensively, kick chase was fine, but our one-on-one tackles were poor. I thought you around the legs, you can't do round, you can't make a tackle >> one-on-one in Origin around the legs because it's just too quick. The release is too quick. Doesn't let the big boys get back on side. There was too many of those. But the errors, the errors cost us, you know, getting out of trouble, that's all it was.

[00:28:08]>> Yeah, I thought um obviously they all agreed too like we were quite poor the first um 20 to 40 minutes, but I thought the addition of or the change of Victor Radley and and Cam Murray coming on, they just >> they just changed the whole dynamic of the game. um leg speed through the middle.

Uh but the biggest moment of the game, big talking point was the Cal Pong sendoff. Uh fellas, I look and I I'm I'm being totally unbiased when I say this. At the end of the day, it was a sendoff in my opinion.

There was a few guys we were expecting a little bit more from. Look, I think Teddy's performance it wasn't the best we've seen him play in origin but you know he he scores that beautiful try at the end to win the game for New South Wales. So you can't help from that but there was yeah there was a few players probably just weren't what we were expecting from and weren't at their best. But that that happens every now and then. You can't you can't expect everyone to go out there and have an absolute blunder. expect changes, Matthew. You >> I think if you ask the question, you say, "Would we have won if Kalen Pong has stayed on the field?" Well, I'll ask that. I say, "No, no, he doesn't." Well, then how can we not make changes? I think I think we have to. I think there's some players we we should look at with that. And it's a it's a huge ask to come into a side when and you're making your debut and then be the general >> and demand things from your forwards, get like to get us to uh the part of the ground that you want them to get to. And then yeah, like if if we don't win, he's he was the moral for the man of the match. And we've spoken before about my opinion Casey Mlan comes in somewhere because someone you know to come off the bench I don't think we win if he doesn't come onto the football field. I think the impact his impact and just make the way he attacked the game I thought was it was one of the best deboss I have seen.
