[00:00:17]So, people have talked about this as in C Locrian. It's basically like a natural minor scale, but also with a flat second and a flat five. Yeah.

[00:00:27]>> [music] >> There's the fingering for Locrian, right? Because what's happening here is we're playing the flat seven of C, which is B flat.

[00:00:36]And then we're coming up and playing the A flat, >> [music] >> the G flat, right? So, it's all a part of this mode.

[00:00:43]>> [music] >> And that is very odd. There aren't a lot of like pop songs that use that mode.

[00:00:50]Almost nothing uses that mode. It shows up in jazz, it shows up in metal, but it doesn't show up in pop music at all. So, that's why it gives it that ominous character.
