This tutorial effectively showcases the democratization of motion design, turning sophisticated AI into a simple utility for the casual creator. However, it also highlights a shift where prompt-based convenience begins to overshadow the nuance of traditional creative craftsmanship.

Animate Your Own Images in Canva in Seconds - Just Like THIS!Añadido:
Did you know that Canva can animate images you've made yourself? Whether you're making birthday videos, social media content, YouTube videos, or making something for practically any reason, this feature is seriously underrated.
Let me show you how it works so you can do it, too.
So, I'm in Canva and for the purpose of this video, I'm going to show you some examples of images that I've created myself and I want to actually animate these for another project. So, if you have images you've made that you want to animate, then imagine that I'm you. I'm going to go to YouTube thumbnail. This is the same size as the video. And I'm going to come over here to uploads. I've already uploaded this one. I just made it. Now, I'll click on it. Just like that. People ask me all the time, can I animate my own pictures in Canva? A few months ago, you couldn't, but now you can. Thanks to a lot of new AI tools inside Canva. I made this one. So, what I'm going to do is come up here to edit, then come over to the tool section. I'll choose image to video. And now I've got two options. Hey, check this out. Now it's 6 seconds. It used to be only five.
So, they are extending the time. Very cool. This is brand new. When this tool first came out, it was 3 seconds and now we're up to six. That's excellent. So, inside here, you can let the AI do it for you or you can give it custom instructions. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to add in my prompt here.
All right. I want his arms and legs moving in a walking motion.
So, let's click on this. I'm going to create a 6second video. Let's see what it makes.
Watch. You can see he's moving just like I asked. Remember, this is an original image I made myself. So, there's the video and here is the image by itself.
So, now you can see the difference.
There's the basic image and here is the animated video I just made. Amazing.
Canva is really upping their game. So, let's try another. I'll add another page and upload another image. This is a Mini Cooper image I made. As you can see, it doesn't move on its own. It's just static. I'll just put that there for now. Then, click on it. Always make sure you click on it because if you don't, you won't see the screen up here. So, click on it. See this edit screen? So, click on that. Okay. We'll go to image to video again. Click up that. I'll do the same thing. I'm going to tell the AI exactly what I want action-wise. I'll add the prompt right there. Next, I'll click here to generate my video and see what happens.
Here's what it gave me. So, the wheels are moving, the car is moving, but I didn't want the camera to move. So, I'll remember in the future to put static camera on there, too. I'm going to try it again. So, I've changed the prompt a little bit and I'm going to put static camera. So hopefully that solves the issue of the video just zooming in and all that. I don't want that. I just want the car to sit there as the wheels turn.
So we'll try again. Okay, the wheels are turning and it's kind of rearing up like that. But I think I can use it as is.
Okay, very good. So now you can see there is my video and here is my original image, the before and the after. So that's two images for me.
Let's make another one.
So I'm going to drag in my picture.
Remember, you can make your images in any image generator. Next, take your images, drag them in Canva, and let's animate them. So, I'll click it, and it'll add it right here on this page.
Next, I'll enlarge it. So, there is my picture of a boy sitting in a boat out in the ocean looking off into the distance. Now, I want to animate this.
So, what I'm going to do next is click on it, then click on edit, then go to image to video. I'll add my action prompt there. So, let's see what happens when I generate it.
Okay, there he is sitting in the boat and the waves are gently rocking and there's the clouds and sun are moving. I really like it. So now you can just see the before and the after. Okay, there you go. Are the ideas starting to roll around in your head? So if you put enough of these short videos together, depending on your topic, you could make a really nice video, especially now that these videos have jumped up to 6 seconds long. So let's try one more. Here's my new image page. Let me get my image. All right, so I clicked on the image. I'll click on edit, then go image to video.
I'll add my prompt here. Next, click on generate. And this is actually pretty fast.
There you go. So, if it ignored my camera prompt and I'll let Canva know.
Overall, it is still very nice. So, I will take that. I'm going to add the image here to show you the before and the after. So, this is the image that I had and there's the video. You can always take these images and remake the videos if you're not happy with them.
So, you've got to experiment. And sometimes, even when you give it custom instructions, it doesn't follow them.
But right now, you've already seen me make several videos from images I made.
So, I've got the little boy walking.
Here's the Mini Cooper. I've got the boy in a boat. And here's the man stirring his cup of coffee. So, try doing this yourself. Get your images. Bring them into Canva. Go to edit. Go to image to video. But the coolest thing about this is that this is a brand new tool and it wasn't even here a few months ago.
Several weeks ago, these videos were 3 seconds long. Yesterday, it was 5. and now it's up to six. So, no telling how long these will be in another month or two. Now, it's your time to try and see what you can make using Canva's amazing AI tools.
If you found this useful, hit that like button. It helps a ton. And if you want to get better at making AI videos that actually stand out, I've got another video right here you'll want to watch next.
