The video effectively distills a complex 5-sigma discrepancy into a clear signal that our standard cosmological model is fundamentally incomplete. It turns a technical measurement gap into a compelling argument for the next great revolution in physics.

JWST Just Confirmed The Universe Is Breaking Cosmology #ShortsAdded:
Two of the best methods we have for measuring how fast the universe is expanding give two different answers.
And in 2024, the James Webb Space Telescope confirmed it is not a mistake.
Method one, the cosmic microwave background. The afterglow of the Big Bang, mapped to extraordinary precision by the Planck satellite, predicts the universe is expanding at 67 km per second per megaparsec.
Method two, the cosmic distance ladder.
Pulsating Cepheid stars calibrate type 1a supernovae, which calibrate distant galaxies across billions of light years.
That method gives 73 km per second per megaparsec, 9% faster. For years, the assumed culprit was the Cepheids themselves. Maybe the Hubble Space Telescope's pixels were too coarse, blending neighboring stars into single bright blurs and faking a faster expansion rate.
Then James Webb looked at the same Cepheids with four times the resolution.
The crowding theory died. The Cepheid distances are calibrated correctly.
The tension is real, and the disagreement is now beyond 5 sigma.
Something is missing from cosmology between the early universe and now.
Early dark energy, modified gravity, new neutrino physics, interacting dark matter. Nobody knows which, but the standard model of cosmology is no longer enough.
The universe is expanding at two different speeds depending on how you ask.
Either our cosmic rulers are wrong, or there is new physics waiting between the Big Bang and the present.
