An AI-powered trading bot can generate profitable returns by automatically identifying discrepancies between professional weather forecasts (from the ECMWF model accessed via Open Meteo API) and public betting markets on Kalshi, then executing trades to capitalize on these pricing inefficiencies.

This AI Bot Trades On Weather ForecastsAdded:
I made a trading bot to bet on every weather market on Kalshi and ended up with a 20% return. Here's how I did it.
Kalshi runs a ton of markets predicting the weather. There's monthly, daily, and hourly markets where you can bet on the forecast in multiple cities. It's a little unwieldy to bet on all of them just by using your gut. So, I use an AI assistant to build an algorithmic trading bot to find me the best edge. I started by hooking up my AI assistant to the ECMWF, which is widely considered the world's best weather prediction model. Multiple countries submit data.
It's weather for the pros. I accessed it through their Open Meteo API, which is free. I have no idea how to code, but I asked my friendly computerized intern in super plain English, "Hey, build me this weather scanner to look at what the pros are forecasting versus how the normies on Kalshi are betting." I got back this fully functioning program that performs a scan and shows me if there's a difference between the two platforms, pointing out that as a possible advantage. And then, because I didn't want to place all these bets myself, I instructed my AI assistant to build a trading function into the scanner that would just place these bets when it found the edge automatically. So, I really didn't have to do anything except ask my AI assistant to build all of this and troubleshoot by asking it for help.
In a 24-hour period, I ended up making 335 bets and winning about $72. Not bad.
