This video examines VTuber community dynamics through several case studies: Saba (formerly Gawr Gura) faced criticism for pausing memberships without prior communication about her chronic illness, highlighting the tension between creator privacy and audience expectations; Towa's concern about unmoderated comments on clipper channels reflects ongoing debates about content moderation in the VTuber ecosystem; Iron Mouse's health update about walking 35 minutes on a treadmill demonstrates how VTubers use transparency to build community support during health challenges; Fillian's ARG situation and account wipe illustrates the risks of mystery content creation; and Nijisanji's failure to provide anniversary merch to Lazuite and Denoth waves shows how creator recognition can be overlooked. These cases collectively demonstrate that VTuber communities value transparency, consistent communication, and mutual respect between creators and their audiences.

Saba GETS HATE & PAUSES Subs, Hololive CENSOR Comments, Fillian Imposter & Account WIPE, FEET JUICEAdded:
Hi everybody, welcome, welcome, welcome.
It's Kazawa here and today we're going to be getting into some VTuber news and news. But before we do, please smash subscribe, hit the like, ring the bell, and guys, do you know how I stream on Twitch? Head over to Twitch. And if you're at work, leave me a lick. And guys, if you haven't already, please make sure to hit that subscribe button.
My birthday is on May 28th, so it is fast approaching. I really would like to hit 50K by then. And also, thank you everyone who was able to come say hi to me during my virtual walkound at Momoccon. It was lovely to see you guys, and thank you so much for your support.
Meow. Okay, guys, on to our very first piece of news. This is Sami Kosaba. And Sami Kosaba is an independent English speaking virtual YouTuber who debuted in June 2025. Her achievements include reaching 500,000 subscribers on YouTube before debut and setting the record of fastest YouTuber to reach 1 million subscribers in under 3 days. So why are we talking about Saba? Well guys, this is posted on the Kurasani subreddit.
This is posted by Ze and it says here, update on Saba's health. So essentially what this is is Saba posted an update on her YouTube membership post. I am going to kind of share with you a summary of what exactly happened on this YouTube membership post. Saba recently posted a message on her YouTube membership post opening up about her health, sharing that she is currently dealing with a chronic illness. Unfortunately, things haven't been getting better lately, and Saba mentioned feeling incredibly tired and that dealing with it all has been really emotional. So, because of this, Saba is officially pausing channel memberships as of today, May 25th, at 12 p.m. EST, and took a moment to heavily thank all the members who have continued to show support even during this recent quiet period. As for what's next, Saba mentioned that a larger, more detailed update is on the way and a public tweet will be dropping in the coming days to explain the situation to the rest of the community. Okay, so that's kind of like the TLDDR of what exactly that YouTube membership post was. So, let's see what some of the people on Reddit are saying.
Pink Dragon says she's mentioned it a few times that she has some kind of illness and I figured that this was what was taking such long hiatuses, but it makes it sound worse than what I thought. Really frustrating to hear. I hope she's not too down about it. It really isn't her fault. Deal. Bailwolf says this is definitely the right thing to do. I hope she starts to feel better soon and that her journey to full recovery and health can begin soon.
However, knowing this, I still didn't think it's right to leave memberships open as long as she did, knowing that she would not be streaming. Maybe she intended to get back to it quicker than she did, which of course is understandable, but no updates on anything up until now brings out the people who want to assume and always assume the worst. It makes the situation worse for everyone. If for whatever reason she still needed monetary support to cover medical or living expenses during the downtime, she could surely open up a GoFundMe or something to express that purpose and clear her goal within minutes. Okay, so this is a general sentiment on the Kurusanji subreddit. But let's see what some of the people on ex are saying. So this is the dark ship poster. So they posted kind of like a TLDDR. Anamine says even though it's a really bad situation if true, I genuinely don't understand why she didn't mention this earlier. I get wanting to keep private info private, but she was receiving money from people who thought she was going to return for a long time now. It probably takes like 30 minutes at most to tweet a post and pause memberships. I once had a broken jaw and was dealing with an infection at the same time from a wound. There was still a lot to do dayto-day that I had to do despite my condition. It's crazy that at no point she let out a tweet telling people she'd be gone for a while. It's really hard to believe that she's telling the truth when she had a lot of time to be honest with her audience. I've always thought she was one of the better YouTubers, but the latter half of her career is constantly ghosting her audience only to coming back to sell merch. Even if true, it really does feel like taking advantage of the audience bad health doesn't excuse questionable behavior. Hitashi says, "And people were attacking her for being quiet. I hope they all feel good about themselves after everything they said." Okay. And this person, Quattra, says, "I feel bad for Saba, and it's terrible that she has to go through a chronic illness, but I can't not raise a question about how poorly most YouTubers communicate with their audiences. Why did she have to wait so long to announce that? What's the downside of typing, dealing with some health issues, won't stream for some time at the very beginning? Fans would worry less. Haters can't use that she's milking the audience for memberships card, and she can still mute everything if the buzz annoys her." Same goes for Fillian, but at least she's got an ARG, so we can speculate that her silence is intentional. I know how fragile the VTuber fans sometimes are, but in a way it's their job and we are their customers. You cannot just disappear for many months without an explanation in a normal job. I guess that's a privilege of being a huge content creator. And don't get me wrong, I still love them both. They're great entertainers. It just annoys me that there is no reason at all in my opinion to not communicate with your fan base, especially when it's so supportive. Okay. And then this is Yan. And Yan says, "Keeps memberships up for 3 months straight while being inactive. Puts her reason for being inactive behind a payw wall. I like Saba, but for real, she just do not care sometimes. I wish her nothing but the best recovery. This is Sweet Bonika, and Sweet Bonika says, "I'm just going to say it now. There's not a damn thing Saba can say that excuses not informing her paid members that she needs to ghost for 4 months. Cough, cough, I'm sick. I don't care. A single message is all it took. Just how little do you value your community and your job?" And then this is posted by Alex, and Alex says, "Saba being sick is one thing. How she treats her audience is another. Blind empathy and parasocial dynamics are keeping fans from seeing an obvious pattern. This is a 12-page analysis about Saba and how she treats her audience and like it looks like it has like a lot of like line graphs and everything like that.
And then this is Kuraba and Kurabella says, "Are you guys still believing that Saba doesn't stream for health issues?"
Yeah, sure. Maybe can be ill, but if so, she should have announced it sooner and stopped the membership post sooner. A bit sus coming from Saba and all what she did in the past. And this is Nielle.
And Niel posted, "Seeing what Saba tweeted on her membership post, I really wish things would get better for her. It breaks my heart she has to suffer so much." So then Pudding says, "I hold no sympathy for bait. Laughing my ass off."
And then this is Duckling. And Duckling says, "She scammed y'all for money just to not do anything. Learn to live with it." And then this is Ria. And Ria says, "People successfully guilted Saba into deciding to close their memberships while she is sick is such a bad precedence. Struggling with chronic illness is not only mentally and physically exhausting and painful, but a financial strain on top. Most chronically ill people can't hold a normal job, let alone consistently streamed. Her membership income was probably her only income. Now she feels pressured into closing them cuz she's aware she won't stream much in the coming weeks/ months due to her health and people are complaining about it. A lot of you out there seem to forget that illnesses get you all eventually. No, this isn't a threat. It's a promise.
We'll all get ill at some point in life.
Some sooner than others. Pray that you don't get it earlier. Life is miserable once you are chronically ill. Poor Saba man. I hope she gets better soon. Crying face. And then Atmos says, "Yeah, cool.
whatever great guilt trip she could have asked a friend or anyone else to send one tweet explaining even the slightest of what's going on before we got to this point. Okay. And then this is a Da Chan and Da Chan says, "Poor Saba crying face. I'm not a member, but that sucks that this is happening to a very successful streamer. She doesn't deserve this and hope she feels better and comes back stronger. So I love Saba. Always support her." So then this is posted on the VTuber drama subreddit. This is posted by Mentoime saying, "The way people talk about Saba now dragging Iron Mouse into it just makes me so sad." So you can see here, this is a screenshot and it says here, "It's amazing how we are almost 10 years into the Senzawa.
Guys, I'm dying right now, so I can't stream. Stay tuned for next merch drop spiel, and it works even better than before." So if you guys don't know what this means, so Saba, her career in the VTuber sphere has kind of spanned uh many different names. So uh she started off as Senzawa, turned into Gargura, who's now Sami Kosaba. This is who Senza is. Okay, anyways, let's continue. So then this person mouse says, "So dot dot dot chronic illnesses don't tend to just vanish actually dot dot dot. Plus hospital visits are expensive. She needs some income to pay for them since she can't work because of said chronic illness." And then Wombat says, "No worries, ATM bud. By coincidence, her birthday is coming up and you will have ample opportunity to give her your money buying the birthday merch." And then this is Michael. Michael says, "Learned it from Ire saying that she has a terminal illness yet she's still alive."
Mouse says, "Chronic illness is not a terminal illness." And then uh Gumour says, "It's your fault for expecting basic pattern recognition from Chumbuds." And then this person says, "Works every time." And then Cap says, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." It would also not surprise me if Senzara Gura Saba turned out to be some scammer just like Elfen Schwab. Kumokoto Kid says, "The I'm dying gimmick will continue working for as long as it continues working for Iron Mouse, I'm afraid." Okay, so let's see what some people on this subreddit are saying.
Parala says, "Iron Mouse isn't dying and to my knowledge has never said that she is. In fact, she's talked a few times at least about how she's actually doing better now than she was. Supai says, "Idiots still think chronic and terminal are the same thing, I guess." Mr. Topping says, "Twitter continues to be the living space for the lowest form of humans." Bloody Red says, "What a bunch of sad sacks of shit." So, anyways, guys, obviously Saba is going through something. You don't just go mum for 3 months if you're not going through something probably pretty terrible.
Anyways, guys, what do you think of this whole Sabba situation? Are you angry that she didn't come out with the statement sooner or do you feel as someone with a chronic illness, she just needs a little bit of love and grace?
Let me know in the comments below. Okay, guys, on to today's next piece of newsy news. Hey, are you enjoying the video so far? If so, make sure to come follow me on Twitch. I stream daily over there.
Additionally, you can catch my gaming content on my YouTube channel, Lydia Boutuber Place. All right, back to the video. Okay, guys, on to next piece of newsy news. This is Tawa. And Tawa is a female Japanese virtual YouTuber associated with whole life, debuting as part of the fourth generation of YouTubers. So, why are you talking about Tawa? Well, guys, this is post on Tawa's X account. This is posted on May 23rd, 2026 at around 10:56 p.m. And Tawa says, "I watch clips featuring myself, but I'm thinking about consulting the management about clips channels that have comments left unmodderated. There are so many joyful moments, yet there are plenty of shocking ones, too." Uh, so essentially what Tawa is saying is that like Clippers who clip her content are not moderating the comments of their channels and there are some shocking comments there. So, let's see what some of the people on X are saying in regards to this. So uncut says, "That's fine. If the comment section of a video is supposed to be enjoyed by everyone is getting rowdy and you're just leaving it like that, it's nothing but harmful. You should take appropriate action." And then this person says, "Honestly, if you're going to respond even to comments on clips, then I think it's better just to go with Inuyama Tamaki's clip method or make it permission based where if you're not on approved list, you're out.
Otherwise, it'd be a hassle for organizers, right?" And this person says, "People like that are mostly in it for the ad revenue. So I think it's a good idea to strip the revenue from the relevant clip channels 100% until they improve. That's a more effective than banning the channel outright. So in the VTuber sphere clippers are very very important uh for the ecosystem mostly because a lot of times streamers you know will stream for like you know like 3 6 hours and clippers are able to like find like kind of like the gold nugget of like comedy or like something funny that happened and clips it and puts us on the channel which in turn boosts more viewers to go see the streamer. So like really like clippers are very important in the ecosystem and the thing is comments on YouTube obviously free speech is very very important but sometimes things can be hurtful as well.
Anyways guys what do you think of toasama considering getting management involved in clipper channels. Do you think that this is a good thing? Do you think that it's a bad thing? Let me know in the comments. Okay guys onto our next piece of news and news news. This is Iron Mouse and Iron Mouse is a female American VTuber from Puerto Rico. A veteran in the industry. She debuted in August 2017. So why are we talking about Arouse? Well guys this post on Dexer's ex account. This is posted on May 25th, 2026 at around 11:03 a.m. And Tuxer says, "VTuber Iron Mouse has shared a major health update about her chronic illnesses that have left her bed written at times." So it says here, "I can now walk 35 minutes on a treadmill." This is the article here. This is article posted by Dylan Hortissi saying, "Iron Mouse fans celebrate major health milestone as VTuber shares update on chronic illness." Fans of Iron Mouse are celebrating online after the popular VTuber shared a major health update tied to her long-running battle with chronic illness. Iron Mouse often speaks openly about living with common variable immuno deficiency, also known as CIVID, a rare immune disorder that weakens the immune system and leaves patients vulnerable to recoccurring infections and other complications. The condition paired with one that affects her lungs, has left the VTuber bedridden for extended periods and forced her to spend years isolated at home while managing her health. The streamer posted on X on May 25th, I can now walk 35 minutes on the treadmill with the post quickly going viral as thousands of fans and fellow creators flooded the replies with support. says here, "Fans call Iron Mouse health update incredible." The treadmill milestone sparked an emotional reaction from fans familiar with Iron Mouse's health journey with many pointing out how significant the achievement is given to her condition. One reply read, "The fact that she can walk 35 minutes is amazing." While another fan added, "Yay, Iron Mouse is going places with these strong legs." The gaming company Razer also joined the reactions with simply saying, "The goat." Other YouTubers and creators shared messages congratulating Iron Mouse on the progress with many saying that they were proud to see her continuing to improve after years of publicly documenting her health struggles online. Despite her health struggles, Iron Mouse has become one of the biggest YouTubers in the world over the last few years. Okay, so that's the article there. So then this is the actual post on X by Iron Mouse. This is posted on May 25th, 2026 at around 7:57 a.m. And Iron Mouse says, "I can now walk 35 minutes on the treadmill." Papa Mud says, "That's freaking huge. You're doing so good. Let's freaking go." Uh Rock says, "Let's go. It's incredible.
I'm so happy for you. Fia says, "Let's go." That's awesome. Larry says, "That's amazing, Mousie." So anyways, guys, if you are a fan of Iron Mouse, please make sure to go congratulate her on X, as this is a milestone achievement for her considering her chronic health condition. So anyways, guys, what do you think of Iron Mouse doing 35 minutes on the treadmill? Let me know in the comments below. Okay guys, on to next piece of news. This is Fillian. And Fion is an independent YouTuber based in North America with English being her main broadcasting language. So guys, why are we talking about Fillian? So guys, so you are aware, Fillian has been absent for about 6 months now without a word as to where she went or what she's doing. A lot of people are speculating that there's some sort of ARG situation, but anyway, this is just like a further development in the story. So uh this is posted on the Philly subreddit. This is posted by no win and it says here it's gone. At least the profile picture is still there. So this is a screenshot of Billy Billy. So you can see here all of the videos have been removed, but her profile picture is still there. So let's see what some of the people in this subreddit are saying. Simply that guy says within each month that passes she's preparing for a debut starts to lose its plausibility. Ann says I just wish we weren't left completely in the dark like ARG is having its own problems and I think people are being slow though I can't speak since I'm dumb. Spy Gaming says wondering if it's a copyright issue with her model. If it wasn't she would probably keep everything up and keep getting revenue. This takedown of everything screams legal stuff. So Reema has also posted an interesting thing about filling in on her ex account. This is posted on May 23rd, 2026 at around 4:09 p.m. So Rema says, "This is odd.
About 12 days ago, the ARG channel in Fillian's Discord is gone. The mods don't seem to know why. Now, we started seeing empty messages from an impostor Fillian channel, both in my chat yesterday and in Pipa's chat. What happens if the ARG is never solved? Will Fyillian simply never return? So, you can see here, this is a screenshot of Fyian's Discord in the main chat. This is one of the mods. This person is called Sever. And Sea says, "We the mods do not know what is going on in regards to the ARG, nor did we make the decision to take down the ARG channel." And then this, you can see here, this is Pipa's uh so this is like a a screenshot of Pipa's stream. So you can see here in the comments right here, there is a handle called Fillian is lost and they just posted like a gray square. This is a screenshot of Remma stream and in Remma stream there is a chatter here.
Fillian is lost and this is also just a blank post here as well. So there is something very sussy going on. So anyways guys, what do you think of these new updates in regards to the Philly situation? Let me know in the comments below. Okay guys, on to our next piece of news and news. This is Nijis Sanjien and Nijis Sanjien is an overseas branch of Niji Sanji project consisting of English-sp speakaking livers. Unlike other overseas branches, it's not associated with any specific country and is aimed at English-sp speakaking audiences around the world. And within Nijis Sanjien, uh there are some waves here. So this is Lazuite and Lazulite has Pandora and Finana Riu. So Pomu Rainuff has since graduated. So it says here Lazuite debuting on May 16th, 2021.
Lazuite is the first wave of Niji Sanji Yen. Each member is a fantasy creature associated with a different part of nature, earth, sea, earth, sky. And this is Denoth. And Denoth has Rioma, Baron Wart, Clara, Charmwood, and Twisty Aman Zako has graduated from Nijanji. Denoth debuted in May 24th, 2024. So why are we talking about Nijis Sanjien, Lazuite, and Denoth? Well guys, this is posted on the Kuranji subreddit. This posted by Gold Concentrate saying, "Lazeruite and Denoth received no anniversary merch."
These are screenshots of some ex posts.
So this is Coyopi says, "Please mass email inquiring about Lazerite's anniversary merch because this is getting ridiculous." Okay, so then this looks like this person messaged Niji Sanji saying, "Hello, I'm speaking as a 5-year fan of Lazerite from Niji Sanjien supporting Lazolite since debut. It's past Lazulite's anniversary. However, there hasn't been any announcement from Niji Sanji and Niji Sanjien official accounts regarding Lazerolite's fifth anniversary merch. Only announcements about Niji Sanjien anniversary merchandise and events are made. Where is Lazulite's anniversary merch merchandise for this year? I'm sincerely disappointed by your complete disregard for the vital group that started Niji Sanjien. And then this person, Steuart, says, "Please Niji Sanji, don't stop making anniversary merch. Crying face.
The past four years have been amazing.
Lazerife deserves it as a founding group of branch. I'm also a little worried that the same thing might happen with Obsidia, but I want to believe that they'll announce it soon." This person, Jasmine, says, "Yeah, okay. So, like, I don't think they would abruptly stop anniversary merch with no warning. yet.
It's not helpful that they seem to be unable to push merch announcements for everything but Lazerife's anniversary.
I'm getting a little annoyed. Um, and then Chompy Wampumpy says, "No Lazerolite merch, no Denoth merch. Girl, could you at least announce if there's going to be nothing, especially if you manage to produce merch for the branch, but not the foundational group that hit a major milestone." And then this posted by Sid. And Sid says, "Are you effing for real? Happy for you Knox fans. You guys are always winning, but Lazerolite and Denat's anniversary just happened and we get nothing but silence." And then this here is just saying coming soon. Knox inline roller style merch is here. Straight outfits and roller skating challenge. Stay tuned for the newly shot photos. This person says, "I'm going to need you guys to realize that Two Waves haven't gotten their anniversary merch. And regardless of circumstances, the company's silence is unprofessional and honestly disrespectful to Lazulife and Denoth and their fans." Glitchy says, "Skipping the anniversary merch or what? Can you guys at least clarify with the fans?" And then Sunbach says, "They're ignoring all the anniversary merch inquiries. Lol.
It's good that the original merch came out, but if you're going to do it, why even create an inquiry channel? And this person says, "And I anniversary dedicated account posting non-anniversary merch while ignoring anniversary merch inquiries. We have to draw the line somewhere, lol." Okay, so let's see what some of the people on Reddit are saying. Mini FIA says, "Nanjien only cares about their biggest cash cows, Morat 11. I wonder how many of them would have been gone by now if there wasn't a non-complete clause that prevents them from applying to different corporals for a while." Gileian says, "Actually, I can imagine why Denoth does not get anniversary merch. Their numbers really aren't great, but they should at least give the anniversary merch to Lazulite. I know their numbers aren't doing great either, but like but like it or not, they are trailblazers for an NGen just like Myth to Holen." Now, imagine if Myth does not receive any.
Boy oh boy, the uproar would be insane.
Anyways guys, what do you think of Lazle and Denoth not receiving anniversary merch? Do you think that this is a nothing burger or do you think that this is the start of something? Let me know in the comments below. Onto our next piece of news and news. This is Fanime Con. And Fanime Con is an annual 4-day anime convention held during May at the San Jose Mckenry Convention Center in San Jose, California over Memorial Day weekend. And this is Park Con. And Park Con is a massive unofficial fan-run afterparty and pop-up event that takes place annually in downtown San Jose, California. Held concurrently with the official Fanime Con weekend. It features dozens of DJs, live music, a swap meet, and a buzzing artist alley operating in the open until the early hours of the morning. So, why are we talking about Fanime Con? Well, guys, this particular convention has been trending on X, and I'll just give you like a TLDDR as to why. So, it says here, "Cossplayers sell foot dunked juice at Fanime Con afterparty." And so it says here, during the unofficial nighttime gathering in San Jose's Caesar Chavez Plaza on May 22nd to 25th, 2026, cosplayers, including one as Hatsuni Miku and Rappy from Nik dipped feet into what looked like a boxed wine or a fruit punch, charging $5 for a swig and up to $30 for a spits. Videos showed lines forming, fans chugging from cups, and even one sucking a toe with the booth selling out quickly. The stunt drew millions of views online, memes about foot fetishes and antivirus, and mixed reactions from cringes to fans calling it the easiest money ever, fitting Parkcon's reputation for chaotic fun like twerking and brawls. So, Miss Full Moon says, "I'm not lying when I tell you that one dokumi, a dude paid me 5 to spit in his drink as HK416, and I didn't hesitate for a second. Easiestβ¬5 I ever made."
Okay, so this person, Viv, says, "I got the foot juice." As you can see here, there is a cosplayer dressed up as Super Sonico who has their feet in a cooler.
And then this person has their tongue sticking out. This person says, "What the f is happening?" So, it says, uh, "Fresh feet juice." And you can see that this other cosplayer has their feet in this cooler as well. And it says here, "Cosplayers sell foot juice straight from their feet at the US convention."
Uh, and then this is a video of the foot juice.
>> Give me the beat.
Okay. And then this person says, "Me and the bro share the same reaction." So anyways guys, what do you think of fresh foot juice? Do you think that this is something that should come to a convention near you, or do you think this is absolutely disgusting? Let me know in the comments below. Okay guys, and that's it. That's the end of the VTuber news. Thanks so much for watching. If you like what you see, please be sure to like, subscribe, comment, all that good stuff. And guys, if you can't catch me on Twitch, that is no problem. I do have a YouTube channel called Lydia Vtuber Vods that backs up all of my gameplay and I probably play through some of your favorites and I just finished Final Fantasy 4. And guys, hit that subscribe button. I'm nearly close to my birthday. My birthday is on May 28th, so I really need your help to get to 50K. Okay, guys. Thanks so much for watching. Hope you have a great day.
Take care. Bye-bye. But yeah, so I'm very very grateful to Syrio who always takes me around on his adventures. So it's it's lots of fun. It's always lots of fun going to virtual conventions and just kind of making people's day and and like I've had I've had people like come up to me and like be like, "Are you Lydia Kazama?" I'm like, "Yes." And they're like, "Hi everybody. Welcome, welcome, welcome." And then they just run away. And I'm like, "Wait, you knew you knew my catchphrase to just run away?" I love it. I love it. So great.
