In philosophy, Trump says God supports the war in Iran. Pope Leo, however, disagrees. He stated no one can [music] use Jesus to justify war. What we've seen is an exchange between the two men. Trump calling him weak, the Pope saying that he has no fear for the Trump administration. In politics, last Thursday's UK council elections were something of a political earthquake.

[00:00:29]Reform gained over 1,400 seats from almost nothing, whereas Labour lost over 1,400. [music] The Greens also made progress taking Labour's strongholds.

[00:00:36]Over 90 MPs have now called for Starmer's resignation. In economics, Trump flew to Beijing this week alongside America's biggest [music] tech and business CEOs. He came back claiming fantastic trade deals. Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz still remains closed and the energy shock is continuing to cascade through economies. In power, [music] S&P 500 profit margins are projected at 13.4% for quarter one of 2026. Which, if confirmed, would mark the highest on record, beating even the highest found in the post-COVID bounce. As war wages, politicians bicker, and some of the most powerful countries on the planet to sink political [music] upheaval, it's interesting to see how the markets are reacting.
