[00:00:00]Riley, thank [music] you for that. All right, let's dive into our full forecast here for Wednesday. Over the next couple of days, our temperature trend, you can see we are very steadily in the 90s, but we do see a little bit of a dip this weekend. So, we love to see one of we have a really the timeline of a minor cool down actually align really well with our weekend forecast. Good news for any weekend plans for those of you staying local. Right now, temperatures we're seeing a lot of 70s over in the desert right now just before 6:30. So again, these milder mornings typically lean itself into a warmer afternoon, and that is what we expect once again today.

[00:00:38]Again, not a huge change in those temperatures. Bakersfield once again in the upper 80s by lunchtime, and then mid-90s here through the afternoon. So, similar to yesterday, the best time of day, if you want to get outside and beat the heat, will be in the morning. Or if you're more of a night owl, just wait until that sun is much lower in the sky, maybe after sunset, to do a little walk out there and just kind of beat that heat. Take care of yourself. Of course, stay hydrated as well throughout the day. That will certainly help. Mountain communities still going to be a nicer spot here in our higher elevation towns today in the 70s and low 80s. The Kern River Valley starting to feel more heat building. 95 expected in Kernville today, 96 here in Bakersfield. And as you can see, widespread triple digit heat over in the desert and in Indian Wells Valley. So, they are hot spots once again, and they're also set to be our windier zones in Kern County again, too. So, we do see a little bit of a change up today in our wind forecast.

[00:01:33]It's breezy in the mountains and a bit more windy over in the desert with gusts coming in from the north and northwest up to 40 mph this afternoon. So, you'll feel that wind, and really it's a noticeable wind through the later part of the day today in the desert. Big picture view here through the day tomorrow, still strong high pressure off the coast of California. That's what's responsible for the heat over the next couple of days, but that little bit of a dip, that change up we see this weekend coming in from the north, we see this upper level trough trying to push into California Saturday and Sunday. It won't be overly successful, but it will allow for a a little bit of that high pressure to break down. So a little bit of cooler air uh slowly flowing into Kern County.

[00:02:16]So we'll notice by Sunday a little bit of a drop in those temperatures, upper 80s here in the valley. And then this weekend's forecast again after a couple more days with this heat really set in.
