[00:00:00]Hey guys, welcome back to the vlog. This week we're doing house stuff. Um, I'm painting the back of the house right now because we didn't finish last year and Kyle is cutting the trench for our plumbing in our kitchen. So, we'll peek in on him and see what he's doing and then I'm going to get back to painting.

[00:00:17]But, let's get into the vlog.

[00:00:24]Right.

[00:00:36]This is our trench. We got to make it a little deeper, but this is what it's going to look like. This goes under where our island is going to be. So, our kitchen island is going to be right here. Stove cabinet on each side. And our fridge is going to be right back here recessed. And then we're gonna have a doorway because eventually this is going to be a walk-in pantry.

[00:01:00]So, it's a big job, but we're getting there. At least now we can call the electrician back out to run the electrical as soon as we just get this a little bit deeper. So, maybe within the next couple of days. But I am stoked. My kitchen is going to be coming together soon.

[00:01:16]Look at this guy taking a nap in sawdust.

[00:01:26]>> Chicken cutlet dog.

[00:01:27]>> He does. He looks like a little chicken tender.

[00:01:31]Oh, Watson.

[00:01:35]You guys, look at my plants. They are thriving. These ones especially. These are Brussels sprouts and spinach. And I'm so excited. Um, some of them aren't doing as well, but I think because we use compost instead of uh potting soil.

[00:01:53]So, potting soil has proved to be beneficial over compost, but we're getting there. We're getting somewhere. My squash is growing.

[00:02:04]Everything takes time, but I'm really excited. I I think I got the hang of this.

[00:02:12]Look at our ducks swimming in the middle of the pond.

[00:02:18]>> They grow up so fast.

[00:02:20]>> They do grow up so fast.

[00:02:25]Got two boys concerned about their ducks.

[00:02:28]>> And it's got to make time for fun when you're on the job.

[00:02:36]You guys, we got our stair risers in place. Look at it. So now, keep in mind the floor is going to be higher. We're putting radiant heat floor down, put a pour a concrete slab over it, and so it'll be as high as this this is, but and then we can put our stairs on it and, you know, obviously paint it up and everything. But this is a huge win to actually get it up. Big thanks to Kyle's parents for helping. My god, I can't believe it. Can you believe it? Can you believe it?

[00:03:10]Kyle has been engineering this staircase, this floating staircase for months, and to see it actually finally coming to life like is amazing.

[00:03:18]>> It's actually floating. It's built right into the wall. It goes into the wall >> onto a slab.

[00:03:25]>> Big win today.

[00:03:29]>> A you using your deal as a pillow.

[00:03:33]That's so sweet.

[00:03:36]That's sweet boy stuff. Yeah, that good boy stuff.

[00:03:42]I will turn the soil into my pumpkin patch. I'm so excited.

[00:03:53]All right, this is my pumpkin patch.

[00:03:58]Just got to rake it out a little bit more and start planting. All right, everything is staked and roped off. I got Watson still helping. Um, but ready to plant my pumpkins. I think I got my fairy tale pumpkins, my giant pumpkins, and my jacko'lantern pumpkins. I think I'm going to plant the giant ones over here. And then the other two over here.

[00:04:28]>> Was he dying?

[00:04:29]>> He came out from under the tub.

[00:04:31]>> Did he make contact with >> Hi, sweetie.

[00:04:36]You checking it all out. He's good with Marty.

[00:04:40]>> Oh, so far.

[00:04:43]>> Wow.

[00:04:45]>> Want to come in here?

[00:04:47]>> You brave. You so brave.

[00:04:51]>> So, you have no reason to hide behind the tub.

[00:04:54]>> Well, it's still not much to see here.

[00:04:56]And nothing is started sprouting that I planted, but eventually, like I said, there's going to be flowers all over here. We got a cute little bird bath and it actually is a bubbler when the sun hits it. It's solar powered, but there's not much sun out here today.

[00:05:14]But overall, my little bee and butterfly garden is starting to come together.

[00:05:19]Just want some grass to grow and some flowers already.
