I Found THE Coolest Bitcoin Home MinerAdded:
This is one of the coolest Bitcoin home miners I've ever seen. It has touchscreen, it's whisper quiet, and if you were successful mining with it, you could earn anywhere from $1,400 up to $200,000 instantly. Let's take a look. So, this is the Bitaxe Touch from Solo Satoshi.
And they did send this to me to review, but I wasn't paid to make this video.
They don't even get to see it before it goes live. You see it first, and I can say whatever I want. That out the way, I will be giving one of these away in this video. So, if you're interested in that, I will show you how to enter. But first, let's take a look at this device. So, the default hash rate on this Solo [music] Satoshi unit is 2.15 terahash.
It has three built-in performance modes: low, which is 2.34 [music] terahash at 41 W roughly, medium, which is 2.44 terahash at around 45 W, and high at 2.67 terahash at around 48 W.
Now, you can also overclock this device to just over 3 terahash. The setting they recommend are 750 MHz at 1,200 mV.
And this device has two BM1370 ASIC chips from the Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro. And on the front, it has a 4.3-in 800 by 480 capacitive touchscreen with eight dynamic screens, and I will show you that in just a moment. Power efficiency is around 17 J/T, which is really good. And the noise level is about 35 dB at the default settings, which when it sits on my desk, which is where I've had this thing, you can barely even hear it. Now, the one I have right here is in white, but they come in a couple of different color colors, so you can pick out which one you favor the most. I just thought the white one looked super cool.
And the case itself is a 3D printed and looks pretty snazzy. It has these honeycomb vents, which you can just barely see the fan through there, and the heat sink to let air flow through. If I make it a little darker there, you can also see the texturing.
It's really hard to see on a camera, but here in real life, it's got these textures on top, which are super super snazzy. And the firmware that's running on here, the Axe OS, is open source, as is the software the firmware for the screen. Comes with a 12-V DC power supply, and that connects to the back here via an XT30 connector, so not a typical DC barrel jack, which you can see right here. It feels super secure, and some people seem to like these better because there's less fire risk, I think. I'm not actually sure all the benefits, but it fits in there really securely and nicely. None of the usual DC barrel jack sparking that you get sometimes with these. It has 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on board, which is how you connect to it and connect it to your network.
And this thing is 100% assembled in the USA from the bare PCB. And it comes with a 90-day warranty from Solo Satoshi. And again, I'll just do a quick little overview here of the sides with the honeycomb vent. There's that [music] texture again, which is really hard to see on camera.
On the top, it also has that on the bottom along with some little feet. On this side, it has a USB-C port, and then of course, on the back, it has that XT30 power [music] jack. And then on the front is that big, beautiful touchscreen and a very subtle Solo Satoshi logo right there. So, I've got this plugged in. Let's plug it into the actual unit.
And just like that, it has booted up.
The fan is currently on and operating. I don't know if you can actually hear it over the microphone, um but it just got a lot quieter uh during normal operation, this thing is is very very quiet, I found. Again, I've had it on my desk. Before that, I had it in my kitchen area here at the studio.
And you really can't notice it over the background noise, even when this thing is on the higher settings. I've been very impressed by how quiet it is, especially compared to something like a Bitaxe, which there is some version of a Bitaxe in here. It just has a souped-up cooler and a variable speed fan setup, so that is how it gets away with being um pretty quiet. But on this main screen here, I've already got mine configured.
Um so, mine is already started hashing away. Mine's hashing away at around 2.7 terahash at the moment. It fluctuates right around 50 W.
Tells you the temperature as well, 66° [music] C.
Tells you your highest difficulty, shows you your shares and your rejects, and your fan speed.
You can also touch here and see um the hardware, which is the Gamma uh Turbo Bitaxe Gamma Turbo using the BM1370 chips. You can also You can also see your pool info here. Uh but then at the bottom here, there's all these other buttons and functions.
>> [music] >> So, one of the really cool things is when you first set this up, typically with a Bitaxe, you're going to on your computer connect to the Bitaxe's Wi-Fi and then configure it to your main network. But what's cool with having a touchscreen, you can actually select the Wi-Fi option, select the [music] network, scan for networks, input your password in there all on the device. Cuz again, it's a touchscreen. So, that's really cool. You don't actually uh necessarily need a computer to set up the Wi-Fi portion, which is really convenient. But for like the pool setup and stuff like that, you will want to use your desktop because you're going to put your Bitcoin address in there and a bunch of other pool info, and that is going to be really painstaking to enter on [music] here with a keyboard. But at least you can set the Wi-Fi directly from the device, which is a huge win compared to so many of the other >> [music] >> uh uh little home miners out there. But again, here's the home screen, which shows all that info I already covered.
Up next [music] shows you what the current Bitcoin block height is. The next one is the latest blocks. And sometimes the very first time you click on one of these, it takes a few seconds to load once you've just booted up the device.
But after a couple seconds, it will then pop up, and then you're good to go. And this is showing the latest blocks that have been solved in what pools and what the fees are and all that good stuff. If you're familiar with mimpool.space, well then you know this this setup already pretty well. The next one is the time, which is actually not accurate. I need to I need to set my clock. It's not 10:30. Must be a late video. The next one is Bitcoin's current price, which is what I've had it set to on my desk. But again, once it loads initially, if you go back to it, it's it loads much, much faster. Just when you first boot it up, everything takes a few seconds to [music] load. Again, the Wi-Fi, and then you have some of your settings here, including being able to set it from low, medium, or high performance mode, uh your automatic fan control, the screen brightness, uh time zone, uh and updates.
And then there's also a um nice little hash rate monitor screen here, which shows you your real-time hash rate. Now, what's great about this is again, the firmware on this is open source. You can go to the [music] GitHub, and you can play around with it yourself, download uh the software, mess with it.
You can show anything from like >> [music] >> sports info to the weather or whatever.
There's people out there who have been playing around with this and configuring it to their own liking. But also, Solo Satoshi has told me they're going to continue offering um some upgrades and extra functionality going forward. I know they mentioned there was going to be some [music] UX stuff coming soon, and maybe something like themes. But either way, it's all open source. If you want to play with it and mess around with this and change it to your liking, you can also do that. Or you can use what comes on the device, which are all the functions I just showed you. Now, the question is, if you run this at home, and you're connected, and you're mining just like I am right now, how much can you make with this, and what are your chances of making that money?
Well, this is what most people would typically call a solo Bitcoin miner or a lottery miner.
So, there's two real ways to mine Bitcoin. That's either putting your miner on a mining pool and pooling all your resources with everybody else, and then when the entire pool hits a block, you then split that Bitcoin block reward proportional to your hash rate. And for something like this, it's probably going to be just the teeniest, tiniest little piece of that pool, so [music] you might get paid out a few cents or something when that happens. Or you can try to mine Bitcoin yourself directly with this device. Now, your chances go way down, and I'll talk about that in just a second. But if you hit a block yourself, guess what? You win the entire block reward of 3.125 [music] Bitcoin yourself, which is like $210,000 today. So, what are the chances of that?
Well, if you're mining Bitcoin on this, you don't have to mine Bitcoin on this.
There's a few other coins you can mine on the SHA-256 algorithm, which is what this mines. But most people are going to be Bitcoin solo mining on this. You have a one in 2.4 million chance per day to hit a block with this device, or a one in 80,000 chance per month. And again, that's 3.125 Bitcoin plus whatever transaction fees are for $210,000 at today's value. So, very, very unlikely. However, just 2 days ago, there was two solo [music] blocks hit.
And over the past year, year and a half, there's been well over 20 of those blocks hit. And the chances, while not high, are still certainly better than playing like the actual lottery. But of course, you can also mine something like a Bitcoin Cash. I'm not personally a fan of Bitcoin Cash, but the chances are a lot higher. Per day, you have a one in 18,000 chance, or a one [music] in 595 chance per month. And if you hit a Bitcoin Cash block, that's worth 3.12 BCH, which at today's value is about $1,378.
So, if you did that, well, this device right here would instantly be paid for couple times over. And you could sell that Bitcoin Cash and buy $1,400 worth of Bitcoin. So, you have a few different options when it comes to solo mining, but also I wanted to highlight one more thing. On this device, I'm currently mining to a pool called Parasite Pool.
I've no affiliation with this pool. I don't really know that much about it other than it's a really interesting way to pool mine, but kind of solo mine with a device like this. Their whole unique take on pool mining is that whoever on the pool is the actual device to solve the block, that person gets one full Bitcoin. And then the other 2.125 Bitcoin spread out amongst the other people on the pool. So, you're incentivized to be on there and to be the one who hits that solo block yourself, but if you aren't that person, you still make money with everybody else. What's crazy is with not a ton of hash rate, they actually hit a block not that long ago. And I did the rough math, and if you had a device like this on that pool when it hit that block, you would have made like five or $600 worth of Bitcoin. Of course, if you were the one who actually solved the block, well, then you'd win one full Bitcoin worth almost $70,000, instantly making twice as much in Bitcoin as this device cost you. From pool mining, sounds pretty great. And when it comes to the power usage, again, it's somewhere between 40 to 50 W, which for me is just a couple of bucks a month. You might not even notice it on your electricity bill. It's very small.
So, I think the big question then comes down to who should buy this. Why would you want to buy this? Well, my number one reason for me, aside from it just being a really cool device, and I I seriously really love this thing. I think it's so cool-looking, and I love the functionality of the screen. It's so different than most of the other lottery miners I've played with. I think this is a great desk accessory. It's quiet enough to run on my desk. It's constantly mining, so I have that chance of hitting that Bitcoin block, but I can also have the Bitcoin price right there showing me in real time. Plus, if you have this on your desk or a shelf at home or at your desk or somewhere else at work, something like this is a really cool conversation starter. People are going to say, "What is that thing?" and you say it's a Bitcoin miner, and if it hits a block, I win $210,000 instantly. Because the chances, again, while not likely, there is actually a chance. It's better than the actual lottery. And while people keep saying that Bitcoin solo mining is a waste of time, people who run these things keep hitting blocks. But of course, if you have really cheap electricity or something like solar power at your house or free electricity at your apartment or something, you can just pool mine with this. There's some great options for pool mining where you just get a regular little payout, or you can put this in your bag if you travel a lot and plug it in at hotels and use their free electricity, or again, plug it in at work if they're okay with you having a little device like this on your desk, which something like this they might not even realize is a Bitcoin miner cuz it just shows stuff on the screen. Now, if you want one of these, again, this is from Solo Satoshi, and I will put a link to this down below along with a discount code in case you want to buy one. So, that's how you buy one of these things, but how do you win one for free? Well, like I said, because Solo Satoshi was kind enough to send this over to me, they sent me a second one that I could give away to one of you for free. It's also in this very slick white color. So, if you want to win, all you have to do is be subscribed to my channel, >> [music] >> click the like button, and then down below comment what the very first thing you would do if you woke up one morning and this said block found and you were 3.125 Bitcoin richer or $210,000 today. What's the first thing you would do? I want to know. And I'll pick one of those random comments to send this to for free, and you can enjoy a solo Bitcoin miner on me and my friends over at Solo Satoshi. Now, this is a great way to mine Bitcoin at home. I'm a huge fan of this. But what if you want something that's even more flexible?
What if you want to use cell phones to earn passive income while using very little power? Well, watch this video where I chat with someone who is doing exactly that. Someone who has made thousands of dollars using cell phones over the past year through a bunch of different opportunities. Go check it out. Goodbye.
