The review provides a thoughtful analysis of how small visual details create psychological depth and keep the audience questioning the characters' motives. It successfully turns a standard reaction video into a deeper look at the art of narrative misdirection.

RE ZERO'S CONCERNING FUTURE โ๏ธ WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ๐ - Season 4 Episode 4 [70] (REACTION)Added:
I still don't know who this Rem character is, but I mean, we need to heal her, apparently. All right, so after a very wholesome episode of Re:Zero, I'm really excited for another slice of life adventure. Everyone needs to stop. Oh, okay. Haven't wasn't expect you, big guy. This is really going to be a wholesome episode. So, does that mean girl at the end truly did save us?
What the [ย __ย ] is going on here? You were shooting us. Imagine he actually returned by death here. Like, do you think he'd be mad?
You cheating bastard.
>> She doesn't understand, but she's very monogous and she hasn't realized that her true feelings for you. She thought she couldn't talk to them until getting permission. Subaru, what the [ย __ย ] have you been doing in between seasons?
What a supportive girl. Listen, we'll just make sure we scrub you extra well tonight, Subaru. So, what's her opinion on us going by Subaru? Do we feel like an impostor to you?
>> Remember in Eminence and shadow when we used to wonder how they got the grand piano places?
It's just something like that.
>> I still don't know who this Rem character is, but I mean need to heal her apparently. I can't tell if that's a suspicion blink or if that's a reprogramming blink. Either that's a you might not be my master after all. Sure.
or that's uh rewriting my previous order is okay. She really does feel like the student of him though.
>> Super. Are we sure you don't go by a different name? Oh, it I guess it kind of looks like a constellation, doesn't it? I think that's what they're implying. I like the fact that it was just like all the constellations and then you had to have the knowledge to know which one to choose. My brain trembles. Everything is tingling and I can't tell if she's fully going to be on our side or not. That's why we love Re:Zero. It always keeps you on your toes. Now, of course, those are some of my highlights. You want to see the full live reaction to any of these episodes, head on over Patreon. But we got to break down this Re:Zero episode.
If there is a moment where Subaru just tells her, "Hey, no more attacking." And it's [ย __ย ] with my head. Because the thing about ReZero is you never know what's a misdirect, what's supposed to be foreshadowing. And ever since last episode, I've been humming and hon, you know, if you're going to save us, why would you attack us? And to be honest, they actually explain things in terms of the attacking quite well. Hey, back in the day, your master probably told you to attack anyone who approaches the tower. That's a pretty blanket statement. So even if your master approaches the tower, you shoot them.
But once you're probably already in there, you no longer got to protect. So you can actually just say, "Hey, master, I knew that was you." That makes sense.
The looking like Subaru is still Well, I mean, you can make an argument. Well, if Subaru is her master, looking like him makes sense.
But Master, what? Why would Master from who knows how long ago look like Subaru?
Unless maybe you were examining Subaru in present day before this and you see, oh, Master now looks like this, so I'm going to look like this. I don't know.
There's ways out of it. The The uncertainty is why the [ย __ย ] does Subaru smell like someone from back in the day?
Is Subaru like there's so many ways you could write this. It's just a straightup misdirect. Subaru is a reincarnation of her former master possession. I don't know. There there's a lot of ways. The biggest concern though is what Subaru tells her. Like, hey. Yeah. So, now that we're in here, let's just lay some new ground rules. You are not allowed to attack me or my friends. I probably told you to attack anyone who approaches a tower. Well, now that we're here, I want to just make sure these ground rules are laid out. No attacking. And this is what [ย __ย ] me up. could be a complete misdre, but this is why we love Re:Zero because you you're always going to be very concerned. You're going to be very like, maybe this is something. It's the way her eyes respond. I replayed it a couple of times and even looking it back over, I'm not sure how to feel. I want us to to look this over together. Now, he says this, and this is a face that I can't tell if I should doubt or was just being reprogrammed because there's only two options I see. either a the way he said this what he said was enough for her to say h maybe he's not my master or it was a okay I'm just going to make sure I understand and and we do this because watch this some people are going to be like Brandon you're overthinking this you're looking into things that aren't there but if I'm telling you this could be completely nothing but if you're not worried about the future of Subaru's [ย __ย ] life with this reaction. You and I are not built the same. And this is probably why I get more enjoyment out of the show than potentially some of you because you you should be thinking about every little thing. And I'm not sure if I can trust her. She has like an obsessive nature, which you know can be bad. We've seen characters obsessed and completely destroy us. But in general, she's been very pleasant. This is really the only red flag I had from her this entire episode because otherwise she was actually really good. And I mean to be honest fit with the cast quite well. She was hilarious. I mean she's a badass as saw from last episode. And to be honest the test that we dealt with and make sure you watch after the credits cuz there's like three and a half minutes left after the credits finish playing and we actually see them clear this kind of constellation puzzle. So I thought what it was when um he had Beatatric basically throw them into the air. I thought it was going to be a case of like at the top of every door there was like a bit of like pain or something and from above you'd be able to see a pattern. Turns out, yeah, if you're just going to randomly touch some doors, yeah, randomly touching things probably not the best idea to begin with, especially if you're in a potential death trap. Turns out they're the way they're placed is essentially the constellations. And if we know anything about Subaru, especially in past seasons, that's kind of his bread and butter of knowledge. So, the idea of how he's like explains it and he breaks it down made total sense. And I'm interested to see what's going to happen because we went from last episode, one of the most horrifying and emotionally straining episodes of the series to date. And I stand by that statement. I It wasn't recency biased when I initially said what I said. No, it it holds up. I even rewatched it and it was like [ย __ย ] hell. Like I it really did hold the same weight to just a chill episode. very much like we didn't have a care in the world. And this is not a weaker episode than last week. It's a different episode than last week. It's less intense than last week, but it's not a filler episode. It's not a a simple episode that you do, you know, you you scroll TikTok as you watch. No, this episode did a lot. And the uncertainty of what's going to happen as we make our way through, especially because, like I said, if you watch out the credits, we finished this hole. We find the right door and now we're in a big ass library. And unfortunately that big ass library has a very tall ceiling. Now I don't know if we're going to get Zelda boss jump scare some spider or something comes and knocking or if we really are just going to read some books. Like I said, ReZero has you on the edge of your seat not knowing what's to trust, what not. The biggest uncertainty is Shaw. I don't know if she trusts Subaru with that eye twitch. And I could be completely overthinking this and that's fine. If she just turns out to be a wholesome companion, excellent. We could use it right now, but I don't know. Why does Subaru smell like her master?
Misdirect. Is he actually the master? I mean, obviously not as it stands. I mean, he's already been east once who's say reincarnation can't happen again.
But this isn't the first time Subaru smelt like things. And as Amelia says, don't worry. We we can scrub real well when this is over. I got to love her. Or her little kick when she realized Subaru had yet again another woman. It's It's unnerving, but that's why I like this season. It's why I like Re:Zero is it keeps you on the edge. It makes you think about everything. And while yes, you're definitely going to overthink plenty in this show. It's intentionally designed. If you just sit there and watch a show like ReZero and only accept what is said at face value, Shalola says, "I'm going to protect you. I'm going to protect you." But and you just accept it as face value.
Okay, everything's going to work out because the character says, you're going to be left disappointed. You, the show is about breaking your expectations and worldview. And despite being so many seasons deep, I think we're up to now 70 episodes total. The show hasn't let up.
If anything, it's gotten progressively better. It's a fantastic [ย __ย ] east guy. It's a fantastic anime, and I can't wait to see where they're going to go.
For now, Subaru's daughter is here. I'm just going to enjoy it before it stabs us in the back, I guess. Thoughts down below.
