[00:00:00]Hey guys, welcome back to another vlog, another day, another Jamaica vlog.

[00:00:39]I ended up spending an extra week in Jamaica. Remember I was telling you I did not feel like going home. I just didn't feel like the trip should have ended. So, I extended my stay for an extra week, which I'm so mad because my mother's birthday would be in just a few days, like two weeks. And I would have loved to stay longer to spend her birthday with her, but I had to just extend it for one week because I had I have some legal proceedings and things like that that I had to, you know, get back to America for. But anyway, I know that my Jamaica trip has been quite controversial. A lot of people has their opinions and whatever. Why would I spend my first Mother's Day in Jamaica? All of that. I just did what I felt was necessary for my wellbeing, for how I was feeling. And that's what I felt like doing. I felt like I should be around my village, my community. You guys see that when I'm in Jamaica, I thrive. I am my happiest. As women in every aspect of our lives, we just want to feel seen, feel heard, and be happy. Point blank period. Be happy with our decisions. be happy with people that are in our lives because I remember years ago when I would have constant headaches like I would have headaches almost every day and I went to the doctor for it and I was very concerned at the time my doctor would dismiss it like oh you're not drinking enough water you are doing too much work watching too much TV but I was almost certain it was something else so I would say to him let's do some more tests let's see if there's something internal that's going on he would just disregard it and as a woman that just made me feel small, unheard. I felt unseen as if my concerns for my own health was not important. And when it comes to your health and just overall as a woman, leaving your doctor's appointment, that's the worst feeling that you can feel. It was after that I decided, let me switch doctors that it was found out that I needed glasses. So, if I had a doctor that actually listened to my concerns, not only would I have gotten a prescription glasses sooner and solved the problem, but I would feel safe in the care that I was given. And as women, we deserve to feel heard and taken seriously because our instincts, they are valid. And at best, they need to be considered and not just dismissed.

[00:02:57]And it's not that we feel like we know everything and we're always right, but it's just that we never had the right people in the room to take us seriously and actually listen to our concerns.

[00:03:07]Listen, if you have been brushed off, your feelings not considered in any areas of your life. It could be at work, at home, at school, wherever, just remember that to be heard and to be understood is not your weakness. It's your right. And you deserve people in your corner that understands that. And as I shared with you guys, I too have had experiences where I feel unheard. I feel unseen and my concerns dismissed.
