The Texas panhandle wildfires have returned

[00:00:02]It's been an active 24 hours due to the mix of our severe thunderstorms that we experienced yesterday. And on top of that, many of those sparked wildfires across the area. Two of them closer to home. We I mean, you could just see a litany of all these reports. That includes the Trussell fire just south of Canyon that burned over 14,000 acres.

[00:00:22]Then we also have the Line Fire over eastern New Mexico that burned over 23,000 acres. The good news about the Trestle fire is forward progression has been stopped. That's the good news.

[00:00:32]However, it has made its damage. Fire weather returns today and into the weekend. And heading into next week is going to be a very active pattern. So, as we plan out the rest of today, it's the temperatures. We're going to be well above average, very similar to yesterday with those highs in those upper 90s, closing in on the triple digits, especially in the eastern panhandle.
