[00:02:48]>> There was a recent news item of Ripple, JP Morgan, Mastercard, and Fondo Finance using the XRP ledger to cash out tokenize treasury fund internationally.

[00:02:59]Tell us about this. How did this partnership come about? And how what are they doing on the XRP ledger?

[00:03:03]>> I think because of Ripple's reputation as a financial institutional home of sorts. And I think this relationship and this pilot really came together on XRPL because of the low friction way of tokenizing assets, which is just the starting point, right? [music] And once the assets are tokenized, then it becomes about the movement of those assets. So, the mobility, the element times, the the ability to connect on-chain markets with off-chain systems, right? That's really where all of this is still com- coming together. And what's really cool about this pilot with the parties you mentioned is just the fact that we can now do liquidity management around tokenized treasuries, right? And so, it's proving that the ledger is is moved far beyond just payments. And it it's it's crossed into this boundary of you know, providing this mobility for tokenized assets where you can do more with the same primitives, right? And unlocking the utility that comes with assets being represented on blockchain that's purpose-built for movement, right? And so, it's really that is the unlock and that pretty interesting. So, we're not trying to replace the existing financial infrastructure, we're trying to just like upgrade it in a way that we can unlock like do more with what's already there with without actually changing what's on the surface, right? So, it's really just this empowerment that is happening with the XRP ledger that that's really cool to see come to fruition in real time. You know, Chris Larsen was like, "We're going to keep the lights on, all right?" So, we're going to like be super frugal here.

[00:04:47]>> Um But you walked into that office bet in the morning and [music] and you could feel the energy.

[00:04:55]And uh you know, we didn't know exactly, you know, how it was all going to unfold. But like we knew this was going to be big. And uh and and we knew that the XRP as like, you know, the base foundational layer was at the core of it. And so, you had Arthur Britto whiteboarding in one room and David Schwartz talking about consensus in another room and it was just like it was like half being at school and it was like [music] invigorating conversation and half of us just tinkering and building.

[00:05:25]>> Where's XRP imagined institutions allowing another Gary Gensler and giving up the ability of quadrillions? Clarity must pass.

[00:05:33]>> Institutional players, they need 100% clarity that if they offer exposure to digital assets [music] that they're that it once the when we get a new president, if the new president doesn't like crypto and wants to go after crypto, well, they would have to change the law.

[00:05:55]Right now, if Clarity Act doesn't pass, imagine that President Trump uh leaves office in 3 years, it's a new president, and imagine Elizabeth Warren is in charge again. And she'd be she would be in charge of the Senate Banking Committee. She's the senior person, she's the chairwoman now. If the Democrats become control, and then she could put in another Gary Gensler, and all they could do is go all the way back to where it was and lawsuits uh by the SEC, and we would just keep flip-flopping and going back and forth.

[00:06:32]You can't do that with innovation, right? Everyone would leave America, >> [music] >> and it would go to the UAE and to Dubai and to Singapore and Switzerland or anywhere else across the world and just [music] say, "We'll never get clarity in America." And so, if we have it and it's signed into law, the chances of someone coming back and redoing a new law is very, very, very slim.

[00:07:00]>> [music] >> But the chances without that law of a new SEC chair coming in and saying, "I'm going to go back to the way it was with Gary Gensler." That could happen. And so, that's really what's at stake. We It'll be very unfortunate if we don't get the Clarity Act passed before the end of June. If we don't, I don't think it gets passed because we'll be in the middle of the midterm elections, and everything will be about elections.

[00:07:29]>> We want the US to be the crypto capital of the world, and getting the Clarity Act enabled is the final step.

[00:07:35]>> President Trump has the right vision. We want the US to be the crypto [music] capital of the world, and getting the Clarity Act enacted is the final step.

[00:07:45]We're incredibly grateful that Trump has a strong advisor in Patrick Witt who has been negotiating successfully with the Senate with leaders like Senators Lummis, Moreno, Gallego, and others. And I do think that there are some people out there, including Jamie Dimon, who have the wrong impression that this bill is deregulatory. It's really quite the contrary. This bill creates regulation for markets. It creates new consumer protections, new tools for law enforcement. It fills gaps that exist today, and now is the time to get it done.
