In bounty tournaments, the overlay of bounties incentivizes players to play multi-way limped pots with short stacks, creating unique strategic opportunities where players can extract value by fast-playing strong hands early and making calculated folds when facing value-heavy opponents, as demonstrated by Fedor Holtz's successful bounty hunting strategy at the $5,000,000 Final Table.

Fedor Holz BATTLES Against Pros at $5,000,000 FINAL TABLEAdded:
All right. It was just >> fiveway pot.
>> What's going on here?
>> This is a fiveway limped pot. Fedor Holtz has flopped a straight.
>> Is there like a really short stack? Oh, so Ding limped in. That's why the incentive to then over limp was there.
Javitz flopped top pair and he's going to be in big trouble here. Yeah. And and so one one fun thing that you see in bounty tournaments is more of this multi-way limped pot nature because everybody is incentivized to play pots with short stacks because they have that overlay of the bounty. So it it's kind of what like what you see in short deck where your price to come into the pot is is very good and you do see a lot of limping and multi-way pots. And I have to say, Henry, these are some of my favorite types of pots. As somebody who grew up playing very loose, passive live cash games, you would often see five, sixway pots, and you'd have to navigate those.
>> Some correlations here.
So, Fedo has raised to 140k.
Jav kind of doing the damage to himself by leading out into four players. and he's turned trips.
>> I like the decision by Fedor to fast play. It's It's fairly likely that Javit has a strong hand to bet into this many players.
>> Wow.
>> And Fedor wants to get money in on the flop before the board develops unfavorably.
Well, this is developing very favorably for Fatal because now Javeed has trips. There's 400k out there. We could see Fedoral playing for stacks across turn and river >> 300.
>> Uses a big sizing here hoping for a clean river >> so that he can move in try to get value from something like the hand that Javit has. And Jav of course cannot get away on this card.
1 million in the middle. Worth mentioning that the average stack is 800k.
Clean run out for Fedor. I don't see how he doesn't stack Jav here.
>> This is just a cold deck. Nothing Jav can do.
>> This is second against sixth in chips.
Does Fatal think this is too thin or does he just go for the jugular targeting exactly this type of hand? I think you go for it all, Henry. Plus, the overlay of that bounty is just so valuable. Fedor, the covering stack.
Nothing thin about this one. Jav is known to be a bit splashy, so he could even call with a hand like 76 perhaps >> service.
Really sick run out for Jav. Needed like a club to roll off to maybe save him.
Something like a nine or a six.
>> Yeah, there were some cards for sure that Fedor would not have shown.
>> Wow.
Hand one.

>> I'm not liking this table, Alex.
>> In what sense?
>> I've got three of my players.
>> Three.
>> Okay. You're always thinking in the fantasy realm. I was thinking I'm enjoying it. They're talking. playing interesting pots.
>> Great table for sure.
>> Is this your captain?
>> This is my captain.
>> Is it about to be heartbreak with the blades? Well, let's see. Fedor has limped as he's done all tournament.
125. The 5x request. Oh, this could be big trouble for Paul V.
110.
>> Okay, so it went four ways. Polyv electing to flat.
>> Wow, Vogle's weighing ace queen.
>> How How did money just like not go in pre here?
>> Yeah, I agree. I guess because it's the stone bubble, but you know, I'm I'm amazed that Paul V lost the minimum there just calling in a spot where he could have tried to play for stacks and then gets away on the flop.
Had Theologous overlimp with the aces, it very well could have gone Pauly V open Kristoff Jam.
Fedoral's got an interesting one. Like he knows he's got the worst hand right now, but there are just some implied odds about spiking a red four on the turn. Yeah.
>> And stacking like ace king, aces.
>> I would call this hand all day. He's got back door spades. And one of those things we've talked about before is his two pair outs are very live. The six unlikely to make somebody else a better two pair if they don't already have one.
Red four it is. Oh my gosh. Oh my days.
How is it to live in Fatal Haltz's world right now?
>> This is absolutely brutal for Alex theologious.
>> If the board runs off Bricky on the river, I think he'll be our bubble boy.
>> No matter what he does here on the turn, >> he's got one out.
Kristoff will be able to get away.
I don't see how he ever checks this. It would be a world class check. And then he would need something like Jack of Clubs to roll off on the river to maybe save him from going broke with the aces.
>> Even if he checks here. Yeah, that's the problem, Henry. He needs a non-brick river to be able to get away from this hand.
>> Let's defer to one of the best bounty players in the world.
Looks like he is reaching for chips.
And does Fatal just check jam and just try and stack ace king? This is what I'm wondering because on the stone bubble I don't know if Fedor feels that a king ace king or aces would always bluff or sorry always bet all rivers. So there is an idea of trying to get the money in now if you think your opponent is value heavy which you know theologus has taken a very strong line here. He's bet four ways after isoing pre and fired on the turn.
>> I don't see how Vogle Sang can continue here three ways.
If he's ahead, he's dodging a lot of outs. And when he's behind, he's in very bad shape.
>> Ball's in the tank. Is he thinking of doing something crazy here with this ace queen?
Or is he just biting his time?
I feel like Fogleang's going to do something mental. He does. He gets out the way.
>> He's out. He was just He's very deliberate. I think he always wants to take the appropriate amount of time to consider all the options.
How does Theologian just not go broke here?
>> Well, the way he does not go broke is if Fedor just plays call because I think if Fedor jams, >> Alex is not going to be able to get away.
>> Agreed.
Does Fedor feel like Alex has hands that bet fold some bluffs?
Just wants to keep those in.
What did he say? Did he say 1 million?
He did say 1 million.
>> I just don't see how Alex can fold here.
This would be one of the greatest layowns I've ever seen on the Triton stage.
He's wondering what 4x hands does Fedor have pre flop.
All of them. Which of them does he call on the flop? Is it all of them again? I >> think it is.
I mean, I would have been out the tournament. I'll tell you that much.
The nature of this format is maybe the one thing that could save him here where he can just come up with so many available Forex hands that don't normally exist.
>> Yeah, that's a great point.
Theologious is deep in the tank.
be for his tournament life. He would be drawing to just one out as we saw the ace queen folded.
>> He is giving this genuine deep consideration.
>> He knows this was a limped pot. He 5xed.
Sorry, he 5x pre flop. Fedor called flop. He bet out 110k.
Kristoff called. Fedoral called. Turn four of hearts.
Fatal is now check jammed against a double barrel.
So, one thing he may be wondering is does Fedor ever play a king like this?
You know, king seven, something like that. You probably would just continue calling, trying to keep the bluffs in and thinking against aes king, you're cooked.
>> What would he do with his club draws?
any of them might just raise the flop given the nature of the bounty.
>> Yeah, the more I hear you talking, the more I'm just leaning towards call. This really would be a world class fold and credit to Alex for even taking this much time in a decision where I think many players would have been out the tournament already.
>> Yeah, I think for those reasons that you mentioned like yesterday we saw Chrissy >> Oh. Oh, he lets it go.
>> Oh my word. That is one of the best folds you will ever see on this stage.
>> That is highlight reel stuff >> from the B.
>> I believe he just told them that he had aces.
>> Those two options, huh?
>> And Fatal, are you kidding me? not going to get rewarded.
>> I guess that's >> this is just ridiculous.
>> Now it's possible on the bubble he just flats this one.
>> It's an under the gun open.
>> It's a smaller bubble than usual because >> that's right.
>> You know, the min cash is less than we'd normally see. Ah, it's just a shame.
>> Just bad timing after making such a great fold. and he's gonna be wondering if it was the correct fold after he gets all in here.
>> Does Fedor want to go bounty hunting with 5 million?
>> I think so. I mean, >> so what's the calculus? 80k roughly what each bounty is worth. Is that right?
>> Correct.
>> The buy into the tournament was 40k. You started with 200,000 chips, >> which means more or less >> 80k is worth 400,000 chips. So that's kind of an overlay. Now he could claim two bounties here. So it's almost like there's an 800k overlay if he were to scoop the pot three ways. His hand actually does pretty well multi-way.
>> Copy.
>> It has robust enough equity in a three-way scenario. He's going for it.
>> There's the jam. Cat Lee is >> obviously going to call this off >> and theologious after making making a world class fold has two outs.
>> How strong?
>> Very strong.
>> Okay.
>> I don't know, man. 200 pix is too much for me to >> I'm not that strong.
>> It's >> You can afford You wanted to get to over 200 BS in the M like 200 >> is in rough shape on the stone bubble.
probably second.
>> It's so grim to see after making one of the best folds you will see >> this series.
>> Very next hand gets jacks against kings.
>> What was it?
>> He was killing everyone.
>> That was my hand >> before.
>> Yeah, first hand of the day. That's why you were like, I need to do that.
>> And he started with being honest today.
>> Fo trying to call it in again.
>> Everyone happy.
Well, if Fatal does >> crack these kings, >> the good news for Alex would be that they chopped the main, so it's okay.
>> That's right.
>> And he's got a six, does Fedor. It's got more outs than Alex does.
>> You show the mil.
>> Let's see.
Not the same table.
>> Same table.
>> Yeah, I know.
>> Oh, yeah. Same table. You don't chop it, right? What?
>> But I like I like how you think.
>> Gotcha acquired.
>> He had more experience. He just stays sits. Yeah. He knows.
>> Oh man, poker is just cruel sometimes.
Looking like a likely exit.
>> Oh my word.
>> Are you serious?
>> This is how he did it in 2016.
>> Fedor is now practicing for invitational with 300.
>> I mean, I know the reason why we don't see >> because it's Orin all in for his tournament life. A3's got the best of it. Fedor on the hunt for bounty number seven >> with the 97 and both his suits alive as you just heard him call.
>> Wow.
>> Is that real life?
>> Wow.
>> Orin draws to running aces only.
>> Fatal Holtz has been on an absolute tear today.
Seven bounties. He's now playing 5.2 2 million will come in >> to this final table second in chips behind his fellow countryman Leonard Maui as we lose Orin >> in eighth.
We've got two to a royal flush at the moment. King queen suited.
>> Fedor defends the big blind with one to a royal flush.
>> Two to a straight flush.
>> Maybe a bit too imag too much of imagination.
>> Let's get another It's possible.
>> It's not a straight flush draw. It's a straight and a flush draw.
>> Huge flop for Holtz, but Ponikovs doesn't mind this either. He's made a strong top pair.
>> Covers by a zillion chips. He's going to start with a bet.
bazillion chips but betting just 125k.
Fedor deep enough here that he's got options as well.
Check calling and planning to even check raise later is a possibility. Check raising right now and not worrying that you're going to get blown off your hand at some point also fine.
When you're playing against the chip leader, there's more ace rag, king rag stuff in their pre flop range. So, I kind of like this idea to just check raise now. Force those hands to fold immediately.
And if Ponovs does have a stronger part of his range, so be it. Still got 53% against top pair.
>> Honikov's also wondering, wait, I've got more chips than you, yet you're saying raise. Are you telling the story that you have queen 10 instead of deuces?
>> Hey, we're allowed to raise the chip leader. It's a good idea.
>> 1.1 million. You want to fight back with aggression and ponovs. What do we have here? He's three betting the flop with a hand that looks too thin to play for stacks.
>> Yeah, he's got a pistol in the war and he's like, you know what? I'm going to go for it. And he is right. He's got the best hand of king queen.
>> I mean, 47% you could argue he's got the worst hand.
>> I see what you did there, but you know what I mean. I do think Ponacos is betting on a passive reply here. He's basically three betting the flop here, thinking people won't re raise me. You won't for bet me. But I don't know if we can make that claim against Fedor.
>> Okay, so Fedor is making the call here.
It's not unreasonable. He actually is up against a hand that's never folding.
getting the right price to try and spike the straight or the flush.
>> He's hit none of that.
>> What a turn card for Ponacovs.
>> Not only bricking Fedor's hand, but improving to trips.
And if Fedor had somehow check raised a flop with some queen jackon could win a really big pot against that.
I'll say it's a very small part of the range. Maybe even unlikely.
>> Yeah, queen jack is a more natural calling hand just cuz it's so obvious that Fedor doesn't want to play a huge pot with that hand.
>> Is he contemplating the lead? Cuz he hasn't checked it yet. I think it's a bit unusual.
>> Can we really represent a queen? It feels like Fedor's strong hands have become less likely on this turn.
>> He is going to go for the lead.
>> Wow. And a big one.
>> 1.1.
>> I could see this idea if Fedor had ace queen or king queen, right? Because now you see this turn and you think, well, Ponaco's value is more likely to be aces or kings. And his bluffs are likely to have picked up maybe back door equity if he had spades or maybe flopped equity.
But I'm just not convinced that those hands get here. You have to check the flop first. So he's trying to fold out a king ace jack maybe that doesn't have clubs or spades.
Hm. It's an interesting one because if you bet too small, those hands probably will still call. But maybe the 1.1 will be enough to kick out some unpaired hands.
>> But when you make it big, Ponicovs has some incentive to raise. Now >> Ry's raised. I mean, it it re the whole hand has felt to me like both players are just betting. I'm going to do this and you won't raise me back. And just here we are with another click charging more for Fedor's draw.
It's about being multiple steps ahead.
It's what you want to do if you're playing chess.
Ponaco's clearly playing for stacks now.
Fedor needs to decide if he's even live.
>> Well, he should never rebluff as played.
Is he live for 1.2 million chips?
getting the right price, but he doesn't know if he's even up against a full house right now.
>> I don't know. Why not consider rebluffing?
>> Is it impossible that Ponovs is just empty here? Playing a game of I don't believe you.
>> Maybe >> he three bet the flop, which is very unusual for a high equity hand. Now he click raises the turn.
>> Fedor is calling. We have a 7.2 million chip pot.
Can Fedor find a clean straight or a club?
The king would be no good.
>> King would give Ponovs a full house.
River card is the eight of clubs and he just made the flush.
He's made the flush. Kevin Fedor Holtz.
>> Well, just like he drew it up.
>> The poker god himself just spiked it.
>> 1.8 back.
If you thought you were drawing live on the turn, then that means that there's value to extract here on the river.
Is he going to just lead? He will check it over and you got to take that free showdown for your opponents and be so disgusted that you have relinquished >> the chip lead. The straight would have been good too. That's true.
>> Almost.
>> I do think that Fedor >> checking the river indicates he thought Ponop >> right. They don't even know what Ponops had. No, he mocked. He you know Petrangelo's or you can hear Petrangelo's mindset is similar to how I described it earlier. You think Ponacos is more polar >> in that spot. You don't put him on turn trips.
>> The king queen often doesn't three bet flop.
>> They think it's more like full house or bluff.
>> You have ace2.
Fo's got trips again. He does have trips again in case anyone missed it offuit.
>> Defended the big blind or excuse me, Leonard limped the button here. So just a check in the big blind.
Leonard now down to 20 big blinds. He's >> 120.
>> Reintroducing a limping strategy. So he's not totally handcuffed. But this is nice from Fedor. He's He's going to get action, too.
>> Yeah, I don't think you had seven.
>> Yeah, Fedor wants to build the pot. He sees his opponent only plays 1.9 back.
So by betting out, he can give himself the chance to collect the bounty. Plus, when he bets small, he must expect decent overs with back doors to continue.
>> And it's just his board. Leonard's not going to limp a five on the button very often. Just a handful of combos.
>> Oh, Jack of Diamonds. It looks like it's a sweet card for Mal, but it's the card that's going to cost him more chips.
>> I mean, it's three to a flush. He's not going to get overly attached to this hand, but it's going to be hard for him to fold if Fedor keeps his foot on the gas.
>> Well, for him to float the flop. Was hoping Fedor was up to no good.
There will be a number of bluffs >> in Holtz's range that decide this is a good enough card to keep betting and 400 is starting to set up stacks. If Leonard calls here, then there's pot behind.
>> Leonard might get stacked here. If it comes blank on the river, he makes this call.
>> Not even sure what his turn action is.
How often does he think that Fedor is still drawing live?
Does he feel the need to protect his equity with a low SPR?
I think it would be quite thin.
Just a call.
Okay. Potize bet remaining.
Is there going to be a blank river card?
That is not a blank. That's the ace of diamonds for flush out there now.
Fedor hating this run out. Thought he was going to stack his opponent. Now he can't even go for value.
>> I can think of ways where he still stacks his opponent. Randy >> going to talk him check and then Mal turns his jack into a bluff.
>> I believe it's a possibility.
Fedor will be checking. I have to think he can show down good and it's a disaster river to get value on Leonard very often has a diamond but once checked dude does Leonard feel like this is bottom of range for him or is he >> content he is content and he will have to muck the hand >> once again winning another pot he's got 12.2 2 million. and everyone observing as finally there's a real Coin Poker and Triton are teaming up to give anyone a chance to win a $25,000 seat to the next Triton Superhero Series. in Chu.
