A Gassy Fog to start the Week

[00:00:06]Hey, how's it going? Welcome back to the channel. Now, this is a one of the fog is a gas puzzles by Megan033.

[00:00:13]Um I'm not sure where I'm going to slip this one in. These usually pretty darn easy. So, this might be like a Monday or a Sunday type of a puzzle. Just something lazy, easy to do kind of things. Um cuz it it is saying it's a gas, so it's generally approachable Sudoku. So, let's dive in it. We know it's going to be fun cuz the Megan033 fogger word puzzle, but just know there's not going to be a ton of uh difficulty here. So, this fog is a scorpion gas Megan033 normal Sudoku. So, every row, column, and 3 by 3 box will contain the digits 1 through 9 once each. The grid is partially covered fog if you hadn't noticed. Correctly placed digit will clear the fog around itself.

[00:00:51]No guessing is required. So, this is a standard fog. So, if we were to figure out this digit, all of this fog will clear. You figure out this digit, all of that fog would clear, etc., etc. Now, the only other things to do here are crop key and um killer cages. So, crop key being looks like it's only the black dots today. So, a black dot between cells indicates cell values with a 2 to 1 ratio or one will be double the other. We can see a couple of those guys poking their little heads out here.

[00:01:19]Um so, these will be in that orientation. And then not all dots are given, so there's no negative. And then the digits in a cage do not repeat some of the clue in the top left. Those are killer cages. So, we have a couple of those still here.

[00:01:32]So, these will add to 12, these will add to six. Those are the rules. So, with that said, let's just dive in. This again should just be a nice laid-back fun puzzle to do. So, links in the description below. Let's get at it.

[00:01:45]Six will be 1 2 4 or 5. Can't put a five here.

[00:01:50]Now, we can probably limit what you can be, or can we?

[00:01:57]You can't be a one by the way if you can't be a five.

[00:02:01]Um or do we think maybe about the 12 instead? But, let's think about you just for a half a second.

[00:02:08]If you are a one, you could be a two and a five. That's fine. If you're a two, you could be a one and a four. If you're a four, you're an eight.

[00:02:17]So, I guess there's a couple of options, but not a ton.

[00:02:21]So, it's either a one two pair or it's a four with an eight cuz obviously you put a two here, you can't put the four because this would be a two four pair.

[00:02:29]And if you put the four, you can't put a two cuz this would be a two four pair.

[00:02:33]Okay, let's go over to you.

[00:02:44]Now, there's probably something that crosses over between these two.

[00:03:06]Let's think a little bit further on what these can be and then we'll go through and see what options maybe screw this all up. You can't be an eight either because it's going the backwards same way. If that's an eight, that's a four.

[00:03:29]So, it's So, I can't have a four.

[00:03:33]So, it's either a three six or a and this can't be a one or a two, so it is a three and a six. There we go. Just had to pair it all down.

[00:03:44]Now, [snorts] we have a bunch more information we can work with.

[00:03:47]And I don't know that we can do anything here just yet. So, let's dive into you.

[00:03:57]And you can't be one or eight. So, we do have a two four here. So, this Well, that means this can't be a two four pair. So, you are the five, you are the one, you are the two four. There we go. Okay.

[00:04:19]No, you can't be the eight because we can't put a three here. That would be the minimum. So, you are the seven and Goodness gracious, computer. Stop.

[00:04:39]So, it could be one four or two three.

[00:04:44]Is there some You can't be a three cuz that would force the six. You can't be a one because of the one.

[00:04:53]You can't be a three either. So, if you can't be a three though, then you can't be a two. So, you just have to be a four.

[00:05:03]Now, the four says you are either a two or an eight, not nine. So, we get a two eight pair.

[00:05:17]Cuz we know you can't have ones or twos on it. So, they're either a three six or a four eight, but that's not the greatest.

[00:05:31]If you put an eight here, we break the puzzle cuz we have six left over. Only way to make six 1 5 2 4. Can't make either. You are the two.

[00:05:43]Good. Now, we got a five here. Can't be the one four, so we'll be a two three and that says three and two.

[00:09:12]We need 12 more. We said it could be three nine if you are the three and you are the nine.

[00:09:20]It could be or it can't be eight four.

[00:09:26]It could be seven five if you are the seven and you are the five.

[00:09:33]But, that breaks. We can't do that because it breaks you.

[00:09:38]Cuz if we put a seven five here, this is a one, but that has to be a seven. Get out of here.

[00:09:57]So, that means you have to be the 63, right?

[00:10:01]And we know which one's which, I just want to make sure that's right. Cuz we can't do 18, can't do 72, can't Yep, that is it. So, this is the three and the six, yep. Yeah, so we just had to look at this and see how it interacts with that. Easy enough, right?

[00:10:23]These digits we might just have something rolling here cuz they are from four, five, six, and eight. And you can't be four or eight, you can't be six, you can't be five.

[00:13:30]You are either one, two, or four because of that and it can't be 24 obviously, so it's one. It can't be the eight cuz the eight was staring at it. That means you are the two and the four. That means you are not a two, you are the two, you are the four.

[00:14:36]I guess it means there has to be a three on it cuz we don't put a three on it, the min is 567 and that's not going to do. So, one of these is that three.

[00:14:54]Do we need to just think about these actually because of this column and then go from there? Let's do that.
