[00:00:00]Hello everyone and welcome to Fable Haven to War Warhammer 3. Bashiva the White Tiger has arrived in patch 8.0, bringing with her a slew of changes for Grand Cafe. However, this will be my first time doing a Grand Cafe campaign, so I won't really be able to point out the changes to you, but I hope we can enjoy them together. The keen eye amongst you may have also noticed I am using the victory condition overhaul mod and the absolute goat already has conditions for Bashiva. So you're playing around with some special victory conditions and uh seeing what there is to see. If you are as excited as I am for a brand new Total War series, oh why not like the video and subscribe if you aren't. So as mentioned, this is my first time playing Grand Cafe. I do have a faint idea of how they work just because I've slaughtered them so many times, but uh we'll work out any kinks along the way. And of course, Bashiva is rather unique in Grand Cafe. Her whole story is that she leads the exiled tiger men of Ind. They were uh falling under Zinch's grasp and decided to go away.

[00:01:09]And the iron dragon Xiaoing offered them refuge in Shangyang. And ever since they have kind of been not servants, but they've been under.

[00:01:18]Jamming's been their overlord would be the best way to put it. Starting army, she begins with the ironclaw tiger warriors. These are tier four. This is a crazy starting army. Uh these are the anti-large tigermen. Then some tiger warriors. They're tier 2 anti-infantry.

[00:01:34]I would say buzz saws, but we'll see how buzz saw they get. We begin with two jade warrior halbirds and two jade warrior crossbows. She is a lord of Shangyang. She can maintain a limited number of lords and cathan units. She is the leader of the tiger court which improves settlement infrastructure and tiger warrior units. And the armies of Shangyang allows access to cathan units and army improvements. So there'll be limitations. I've actually been playing a lot of factions like this recently.

[00:01:58]Huh. Diplomatic relations plus 60 with the western provinces. That of course is Xiaoing. I believe we cannot declare war on Xiaoming which will be interesting. We have an upkeep of minus 15% for all tiger warrior units. This is of course our overall faction effect. The lord effects. Rashiva grants plus 10% casual punishment rate for all tiger warrior units in her army. Plus eight melee attack and melee defense during ambushes for her lord's army and plus 10% for lord's army just in general which is great because cay units are pretty infamously slow. and she has the white tiger which in an area around her she provides eight leadership in five melee attack to any fellow tiger warriors. We begin in the mountains of Mourn, right next to the western provinces, which means we'll be fighting ogres, my lord.

[00:02:48]And uh well, without further ado, oh well, let's check all our settings.

[00:02:53]Double check double check them. We'll be playing on very hard, very hard. This is my preferred difficulty. Big fan of it.

[00:03:00]Uh we have se lanes, the manufacturing potential, AI strength, and threat assessment. Yes. Yes. Yes. We have the endgame scenarios turned on. I don't know if we'll do the ultimate crisis, but it's there if we want to stick around, have some extra fun. Because we are using VCO, this triggers after the completion of two routes instead of after long victory, which is just fine and dandy by me. I do not want battle realism mode on. Thank you.

[00:05:10]Patrolling Grand Cath's western frontiers, Bashiva leads her company of tiger warriors in service to Xiao Ming, whose iron favor affords her the myriad marshall boons of the armies of Shangyang. More than just flesh and steel are needed to face chaos. However, the Tiger warriors core beliefs and customs rooted in their Tiger court hold the key to advancing many aspects of the warrior culture. To benefit from its powers, Bashiva must reclaim the priceless relics of her people scattered throughout the world. bolstering herself in the struggle against the ruinous powers that scheme against her defeat an army belonging to the blood guzzlers. Okay.

[00:05:58]This is a new type of mage added to >> protecting my people.

[00:06:03]>> Yes, protect them. A new type of spellcaster added to the Cathan roster.

[00:06:07]So all the other Cathans can get him as well. I believe that they give access to the lore of beast, the lore of shadow, and the lore of life, which was something that was lacking previously for the Cathans.

[00:06:23]I see why this is built here, but it goes up one tier higher. Ashifa, Ashiva, Ashiva.

[00:06:52]We definitely want growth, don't we? I mean, money is good, too, but I think we want growth.

[00:07:04]Let's get into the fun part, shall we?

[00:07:07]It is law, I have been told, we must fight the first battle. Although through uh my adventures with >> the illustrious space wizard, I've learned just how poorly the auto resolve thinks of the ogre bones. Probably could have autoed this, but that's okay. No big deal. All is well. So, let's take a look at our new unit, shall we? Bashiva, who does have Vanguard deployments, is a monstrosity of an assassin. Honestly, she can fight pretty much everything.

[00:07:38]She just has insane starting sex. Stats.

[00:07:42]Stacks. Her starting stack is pretty good as well, but stats with magical and flaming attacks, 65 melee attack, not too shabby. 50 melee defense, 500 weapon strength, most of which is armor piercing with a bonus for infantry of 20. Yeah, she's going to she's going to slaughter. We do start with the hidden huntress as well. This is a targeted debuff that reduces speed and melee defense. This can be used on anything.

[00:08:06]Usually, this sort of ability is only for heroes or lords or what have you.

[00:08:13]>> He is a spellcaster from the lore of beasts. There is a special thing about the lore of beast claw speakers, but we won't get it for a while. All the Tiger warriors have this ferocious ambush thing which when charging it gives them bonus charge speed speed and charge bonus as well as devastating flanker which is insane. The entities with this attribute double their charge bonus when attacking the rear or flank of an entity. Of course, it's not a big deal for a single entity. But then we have our tiger warriors who also have this trait. They're dual axes.

[00:08:43]So it'll be 70 charge bonus on a infantry unit. And I believe these are truly infantry units. Yeah, they're small. They're not monstrous infantry.

[00:08:53]>> And then we have the tier four boys.

[00:08:56]These are going to be carrying us for a while. So, let's not get them killed, shall we? They have some very fancy weapons. Very impressive. And uh yeah, the jade warrior halbirds and jade wear crossmen, I believe, are unchanged pretty much.

[00:11:24]Oh, I took quite a beating from this guy. We probably should just pepper them with the crossbows and bathe them into attacking us, but that's all right. You know, that's okay. It was just a first battle showcase. Nothing to try hard.

[00:11:49]To serve as a lord of Shangyang is a sworn duty that permits no negligence beneath the exacting gaze of the Iron Dragon. Many ages after your people's fateful crossing from beyond the mountains of heaven, the Tiger warriors have grown to proudly call the Empire's western frontier their home and a hunting ground fit for your vigil as the White Tiger. Yet that sacred duty bears terrible burden. For yours is a prophetic charge that awakens only in times of great peril. Now such peril gathers upon the horizon, and your claw speakers warn a violent turmoil in the elemental winds. At their behest, you must seek out the long-lost artifacts of your people scattered throughout the world. To lead the Tiger warriors to victory, you must occupy Mark settlements containing relics.

[00:12:57]Shiva does have our own unique tree up here, but I believe everything else is rather to be as expected.

[00:13:29]Now, one thing we haven't discussed yet because it doesn't affect the tiger warrior. So, my >> is with me >> caring is limited. Cafe has the harmony mechanic which has seen some changes. For those of you who know what it is, >> there's harmony in combat, which is this little thing, yin and yang. The ranged characters are Yin and the melee characters are Yang. I think about that for a second. But when they're nearby, they gain bonuses.

[00:14:04]We get up, let's see, with Yang, we can get up to plus eight leadership, plus eight melee defense, and plus eight melee attack. So, they really want to kind of be in a formation where the range are benefiting from Yang nearby for reload speed and leadership, and where the melee are benefiting from Yang.

[00:14:24]They really going to start cutting lawn as I record. Yes. Yes, they are.

[00:20:12]Okay, we're getting there. On the way with relics, the Ivory Road. This panel displays your caravans. They can be sent along the ivory road from cafe to the west. If a caravan reaches its destination, you will receive a large reward. The caravans you can dispatch are displayed here. You can see its level and the number of units that will protect it. You can decide how much cargo the caravan should take west. The more cargo, the greater the rewards you will receive if it reaches its destination.

[00:20:39]All caravans start here. The lines leaving this point represent the different routes a caravan can take. As the game progresses, dangers will be displayed besides these lines.

[00:20:49]Now chart your route, the route your caravan should take. You can alter the route even after it has been dispatched and so react to perils along the way. It will move after ending your turn. Oh, you can move it.

[00:21:03]There is a destination node. If your caravan arrives here, you will receive the reward beside it. Click this node to plot its route there. After choosing your initial route, click the dispatch button to send the caravan and return to the campaign map. Remember to return and check on the progress of your caravans.

[00:21:19]This is basically the the silk road thing, the ivory road.

[00:21:27]However, it's a little bit different because I believe we are not sending the caravan itself. We are guarding the caravan whereas the cathan send the actual caravan.

[00:21:39]So, Von here is an earthly character. His caravan army has additional peasant units. That doesn't sound overly helpful. Or we have the gunpowder enthusiast. Now we're talking. This lord's caravan army has additional gunpowder units and missile strength for iron hill gunners, crane gunners, grand cannons, and fire rain rockets. Yes, please. And thank you.

[00:23:07]Iron favor I believe is a pretty important mechanic but we'll get to that when we get to that doubt >> first here is the skill tree. This has been from my understanding or the research recent me uh like completely reworked. As mentioned, yin and yang is important in combat, but it was also a huge part of cafe expansion. And that was kind of translated into this province bit because you can start like over here in the yin tree or over here in the yang part of the tree.

[00:23:41]campaign movement range plus 5% for Yang characters. I don't believe Bashiva is either Yin or Yang.

[00:24:01]Oh, so the leadership is for the Yang, but all melee infantry get melee attack, which would include our buoyos. I typically enjoy getting economic stuff going first because, you know, building.

Maybe this is being too generous, but I often think of the free content as also part of the purchase because if they weren't doing a DLC, they wouldn't also be doing, you know, the free content update with it, which is the big changes to Cath, which again, I can't really point out because I I don't know. But, uh, if you want to share some of the changes that come to Cath or things you notice that are missing, feel free, let me know. Oh, speaking of missing, the cathons have the wooing compass, which is a mechanic over here, but we have the tiger cord instead. So, and once we get a relic, we'll be able to open it.

The Tiger Court allows the Tiger warriors to enhance their units, buildings, and other aspects of their campaign. The Tiger Court's powers are divided into the pan the panels three pillars dedicated to Camo, the White Tiger, and the Thousand Gods. Selecting a pillar's banner allows you to devote a relic to it. Camo is the the first white tiger.

[00:27:07]Each Tiger Court pillar has five levels of devotion. Each time a relic is devoted to a pillar, devotion level increases, strengthening the tiger court's impact. Current and potential effects are detailed by the lists and tool tips viewed on the right side of the panel. Relics can be spread across multiple pillars or focused on a single pillar's benefits.

[00:27:25]Reaching level three devotion for a pillar unlocks powerful oaths access via the central octagonal icon. Oaths grant unique campaign abilities for tiger lords and other significant effects, but only one oath can be active at once. and has a cool down period once deactivated.

[00:27:42]Campaign abilities can be viewed above the character info panel when Bashiva or a sai lord is selected.

[00:27:50]Stalk for all tiger warrior units and iron reinforcements. Oh, being able to spawn an ironclaw tiger warrior sounds fair and balanced. Just what I like.

[00:28:04]Target own army in the local region. All units gain passive regeneration.

[00:28:09]Oh, okay. Yeah, that's that's good. So, again, Camal is the first white tiger.

[00:28:17]He was kind of like the inspiration for leading his people. They follow his discipline to this day. So, this is armor piercing weapon and missile damage for all Tiger warriors and then charge bonus.

[00:28:31]And the number seems to go up as we go into I wonder what is this orange value.

[00:28:37]Ambush chance plus 10% of unknown territory. Speed during ambushes when known territory.

[00:29:20]Um so the white tiger gives a leadership vigor loss reduction for all tiger warriors. That's very good. Then allegiance points. This could be good.

[00:29:28]Actually, this might be really good. The prophecy of the white tiger and people prophecy of the white tiger. Tiger warrior reinforcements will join all non-siege battles fought within the region.

[00:29:39]Uh army will have more tiger warriors for Yang and for Yin they'll have more stalkers.

[00:29:44]That seems kind of whatever.

[00:29:51]You know the al the allegiance stuff could be really good.

[00:30:03]And then the way of a thou of thousand gods, physical defense for a tight.

[00:30:07]Well, that seems what I'm thinking what I'm doing. And melee defense, global recruitment capacity, global recruitment capacity reduction.

[00:30:15]Uh, when no enemy characters are present in the region, your armies in the region are hidden for all fa foreign factions.
