Uh Bren Brenda finally Looks like you got that crooked, >> huh? Brenda uh finally found lettuce and she she made a salad for me, but we don't have any mayonnaise. So, I'm going to attempt to make a homemade mayonnaise.
So, I've been wanting, like I say, wanting to do this for a while to try it and see if it works. And so, what you use the recipe is like three eggs.
All right.
three eggs. Um, two tablespoons of oil. And I believe this is palm oil, isn't it? Huh?
>> It's palm oil.
>> This is palm oil.
>> Yeah. So, two tablespoons of this. And I'm not going to measure it. I'm just going to guess that looks like around two tablespoons.
And uh what else do we have here that they call for? Uh vinegar. They say one tablespoon of vinegar, white vinegar, but I don't have white vinegar. I've only got apple cider vinegar, which is better for you anyways.
>> And so they say one tablespoon of that.
But since I I like Miracle Whip, uh you know, tangy more than mayonnaise, I'm going to add a little bit more.
Maybe like two tablespoons won't hurt anything, I don't think. And then they say salt.
One one teaspoon of salt.
>> There's not this one.
>> We'll just pour some in there. Whatever.
I'm I'm not into really measuring kind of thing. And then black pepper.
I debated between using fine ground uh pepper or the or or the crushed pepper, right? And so I decided to use the crushed pepper in there for some seasoning. And they say mustard, but I don't have any mustard, so can't do that. I I did when I was in filler. I had mustard seed and everything, but I didn't bring it with me.
And then they say like a/4 cup of water, but don't don't add it all at once. Just put part of it in.
And then start blending. Ah, here's this blender that I bought a long time ago, but I've never used. So, let's see if it works.
Right. Are you in close enough?
>> Let's see what happened, guys. It could be a disaster. Who knows? Wait. Sweet.
I think I added too much.
Yeah, I think too much liquid. So, I guess I'll add another egg and see what happens.
Heat. Heat.
Nice. I think I had too much So, yeah, I added a little uh too too much liquid to it, it appears.
Oh, well, first time is always a learning experience.
So, the question is, how does it taste?
Let's lick the blender.
Tastes pretty good. Uh, little salty and a little too vinegary, but that's the way it goes.
first experiment. Like I say, it's it's it's pretty runny, you know, for mayonnaise.
As far as that goes, and now I know better than to add so much liquid to it.
It It'll still work. I'm going to make it into a dressing anyway. So, I I might as well do it now cuz I'm going to make it into a ranch dressing.
Let's Let's add more stuff.
and ketchup.
So, it never hurts to try new things, huh, guys? You know, just to check it out.

We got a new bottle.
And this is actually banana ketchup, which tastes pretty good.
Hard part's getting everything.

And then for twang, I'm going to add some sweet chili sauce to it since I don't have mustard. Well, I use I use this when I make the dressing anyways.

And uh I have a little bit of mayonnaise left in the jar, so I think I'll just add it to it.
Best foods mayonnaise. We don't have a lot left in here. But I might as well add it to it.
Scrape all day.
Pretty well done.

And we'll blend that in.

Look guys, it turned out looking great. I don't know if maybe uh the eggs sitting there for a while doing their thing or adding that little bit of mayonnaise thickened it up. Ooh, that looks like a dressing, doesn't it? Let's see how it tastes.
It's pretty good.
All All I need now is a little dill weed. Weed. Mhm.
There. That I won't grind in. I'll just mix it in with the spoon.
It's making for a nice dressing, huh?
That looks better than Hidden Valley, doesn't it?

Next time I just have to remember not to use quite so much liquid, but it's very good though.
So, I I say that yes, it makes makes for a good mayonnaise doing it that way. And it's healthier for you. Let's see what the ingredients are on this thing.
Oh my god.
See, this is the problem with a storebought mayonnaise. Look at the amount of ingredients on this thing. My god. It's It's like a a Bible long. And you know that shit's not good for you.
And in this mayonnaise, what did we have? Eggs. Um um oil, right? And good oils. Not not the vegetable oils, right? That's that's palm oil. And uh they suggest olive oil, but I don't have any. and vinegar and mustard and pepper and salt. So, this is way better for you than the storebought mayonnaise is. So, cheers, guys. It was a it was an experiment and it appears to have turned out pretty good.
And uh yeah, hope hopefully you you learned something. You'll start making your own mayonnaise. They say you can keep this in the refrigerator for like 3 to 5 days, you know, with the boiled eggs. It it actually does work out good.
