In criminal cases, jurisdiction determines which authorities handle the investigation and prosecution; federal cases (such as crimes occurring in international waters) are handled by federal authorities rather than state law enforcement, which can result in different procedures, bail decisions, and prison placement compared to state-level cases.

Coffee and Crime Conversations #CASEUPDATESHinzugefügt:
[music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Good afternoon, friends. Are we live?
Can you hear me and can you see me?
I'm sitting outside, so I don't know what's going on. I can't see the computer to see if it were actually live and we're good to go here. Um, welcome in. Welcome into the mods. Welcome in, Marcy.
Who else we have here yet? Nobody yet.
Well, hopefully they'll come in for our little lunchtime live. Can you guys hear me okay?
Do I need to go inside and get to the PC?
Hey butterfly, my chat is delayed on the restream and I'm so I'm only I'm waiting to see if you guys can hear me.
Okay, cool.
I'm hoping that make me live means y'all can hear me.
Okay, cool. Thank you Rachel.
It just takes a minute for the comments to show up back here on restream.
Sorry, I was getting a sip of my drink.
So guys, I've been busy.
Haven't been live. Been getting ready for my kiddos graduation, so I've been getting some last minute things done.
But I wanted to hop on today and do a like little impromptu little live [snorts] to get caught up on a couple of things.
This is probably showing up vertical as well cuz I am on my phone sitting outside right now cuz I'm not going to be running a lot of things I need to show you. We're just going to have a We're going to talk.
We're going to talk about some stuff.
Hey Hyper Kimberly, welcome in.
Good. I came out here like I was out here a little bit ago and I was planning on going live cuz I'm so sick of being in the house cuz we've had just days of rain.
So I'm sitting out here the sun is shining. I'm going to go live from outside.
As soon as I scheduled it, guess what happened? The bottom fell out and I was stuck outside in the rain under the pole barn. But it stopped just in time. I got the dogs back in the house and yeah.
You keep eating yourself out. What What are y'all talking about? Is it confusing with the different vertical and horizontal stream?
Cuz I don't know how it's showing up for you guys. I don't pay enough attention sometimes, I don't think. It's vertical on the computer. Yeah, that's okay.
Like I'm not really going to be screen sharing and showing things today. I don't feel like doing all that work. I got things to do this afternoon. So, I just wanted to jump on for a few minutes, guys, and say hello and catch up. Um there was some Look look.
Honestly, too, I had to take a break from true crime for a minute cuz there was a lot going on on these streets and just just a I was being annoyed. I was being >> [snorts] >> I don't know how to put that. Um sent things. I just don't know. I'm like, "Y'all need to back off me for a minute. Let me have I'm breathing. I got a kid graduating and I don't care." So, I took a couple days and processed some thoughts.
Um but there was a report coming out that was making the rounds um a report on Yahoo News about Savannah Guthrie.
And they were quoting yeah, where it came from. And I was like, "Okay, I'm very familiar with this guy."
So, I didn't go read the Substack, but it came out of Yahoo News. And everybody seemed shocked and surprised, but I honestly thought everybody understood this, but I guess that's what I get for assuming.
Um because I'm telling you if I had millions of dollars and my mama was missing and the cops couldn't find her, guess who's about to hire the best PI firms I can find.
Right? That's that's that's a no-brainer, I would think.
So, why people were surprised by the news that Savannah has hired a private investigation firm to find her mother because she's doesn't want to rely solely on law enforcement.
Can you blame her?
They haven't found her mama.
You know? so it's like a no-brainer to me. But it was reported on by Rob Shooter. And Rob, if y'all don't know, I see him all the time over on The Nerve with Maureen Callahan. He is a celebrity gossip columnist, right? But he's always bringing her the dirt on the the the talk around the NBC camp, right?
So I always check him out when he's on her show cuz I I do recon and I like to know what's going on. But that's where that came from was from his Substack article that insiders told him. But I'm like, why do people think that's new or surprising?
Right?
Oh, thank you, Kimberly. He's my baby, too. Y'all, I have two kids in their mid-30s, right? Grown.
Each one have a child. And then I got the 19-year-old.
And he is graduating right now.
He actually graduated early, but he's walking with the class. He graduated [ __ ] months and months ago. He had to play catch-up because during the pandemic here in Florida, we did do the virtual school for a while. Oh, boy, it became My kid is on He's always been the advanced classes, right? Never had an issue with this kid learning everything. He just breezed through everything. And I was like, where did he get it from?
But during that time, I realized how much of that one-on-one, you know, that boy needed with the classroom. And so he got a little bit behind, so we decided to together, we held him back a year. And boy, he just he just bypassed all of that and got out and done it early. So I am outside on my phone, happy.
I didn't feel like having to be all professional today. I'm not sharing screens. I'm tired of being in the house cuz it's just rained for days here in Florida. But it's typical Florida this time of year.
>> [snorts] >> I just had a shower pop up a minute ago and just rained like hell and now it's stopped.
Then it got real humid, but that's actually subsided some now, too. So, it's typical [clears throat] Florida.
She don't know what the [ __ ] she wants to do half the time in the summer.
She's like, I don't know, hurricane season's coming. Let me let me pretend.
Bring y'all a bunch of rain. Anyway, I've been busy getting ready for the graduation and we're excited, so.
Um I didn't know if he was going to walk with his class. I was like, "Dude, are you going to walk with the class? You can't deny me this." He's like, "Yes, Mom, I'm going to do it." So, we're doing that tomorrow night.
So, I won't be live tomorrow evening and I have been trying to run lives on Fridays. So, a lot We've been doing Friday evenings, too, but we're not going to be doing that tomorrow cuz I'll be too busy getting everything ready.
All right, guys. Um Yeah, I mean, don't y'all think wouldn't If it was your mom, wouldn't you be hiring private investigators by now?
Like, I would have assumed that would have been done from the get-go.
All right, the minute I realized, "Whoa, the sheriff's a little wacko and thinks my mom just walked away and blah blah blah blah blah."
Um once the FBI got in there and they're like, "Well, look, he's sabotaged this whole investigation. We got to start at ground zero."
I I would do whatever I had to do.
I honestly would.
Including coming out and pleading with the public on a daily basis on my Instagram if I needed to.
But, that's me.
You were in Orlando for 15 years. Haha, swamp ass is real. I'm in northwest Florida. We are a whole different breed down here than central. I I keep saying that to people. We're different. It's like two parts of Florida. It's like we should have you know, like North Carolina and South Carolina. Florida should almost be that way.
>> [laughter] >> I'm way down here in the boondocks part of Florida.
I like it better. I've been to Orlando many, many times. I got kids. Of course, we held annual passes to Disney, but it was fun place to visit. Never desired to live there.
Although my ex wanted to me to consider moving there. I'm like, are you crazy?
No, I don't want to live in a big city.
Going back to my part of the woods.
Yeah.
Swamp ass is real. And if y'all are in Florida, now's the time to start making your hurricane prep. Y'all know that.
If you're new to Florida, educate yourself. If you're not new, you already know the drill, right?
You already know the drill.
All right, guys, how many of you heard the news about the Anna Kepner investigation as to what happened in court the other day with her with her stepbrother? Y'all know what Y'all are aware of the case, right? I know my mods are and a lot of the people who come into the chat a lot, are familiar with the case because we have covered the the ins and outs of the case since it happened, but I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Anna Kepner case.
Who she was killed on the cruise ship.
It's like Idaho north is very different than the south. I got I got that feeling, Rach. I feel I feel that.
I think a lot of states may be like that though, right?
Where there one part is very different from the other part.
Especially when you have a large state.
And ours is wonky and so shaped funky.
>> [laughter] >> It's like the panhandle, right?
I'm in the panhandle part.
Okay. So, it's infuriating. What people online also were going off on Florida, right? What's wrong with Florida letting this boy out on bond?
I'm like, "Excuse me.
Florida didn't do it.
Don't forget, this is a federal case.
The feds did that.
Cuz right now in my county we have two teenage boys sitting in jail as adults charged with murder for what they did to little Danica.
Florida don't play with kids. They will charge them as adults with a quickness and take them to trial. It's happened multiple times.
These two boys right now sitting in jail are 14 and 15-year-old boys who killed another 14-year-old girl and left her in the woods right here in my hometown. It's happening right now.
And I'm keeping an eye on everything to go with it, right? So, for people online to assume that it's a Florida let them go thing.
They're like, "They were going hard at it. Like, Florida's a red state and all this." I'm like, "Man, y'all do your homework and understand what you're talking about." I wish that it wasn't a federal case, right?
The judge said that she was going to allow him to stay out in the custody of his family member on house arrest until she or he, whoever it is, made a further determination. So, they're not like set in stone he'll stay out, but what are you doing letting him out? From what I read, his own mother doesn't want him out.
In fact, when Anna's Anna's diploma was received by her father at the graduation and Chantel, her stepmother, the mother of the boy who killed Anna, allegedly, was also at the graduation ceremony and even set up a senior table for for Anna.
And made statements that she did not understand why her son was not incarcerated at this time.
Now, it appears she's standing beside behind Anna's dad, right? Um She's got a dysfunctional family. We all saw that from the court hearings that she's been involved with with her private custody battle with her ex.
Um So Let me see. My question is what are they going to do with him when he's convicted? That's a good question, Elizabeth, considering it's a federal case. I'm assuming federal prison. If he's cuz he's charged as an adult.
But it's very different than the way Florida handles it, right? Because it is a federal the feds are in charge of this case because of the international waters part.
Um So I don't know. I'm assuming he would serve time in a federal prison. We have a federal prison here, but it's about to close. In fact, it was the one that what's-his-name just got released out of. That that that that that reality guy, what's his name? Todd Grisley, whatever his name was. Yeah, him. He was here serving his time in a federal prison in Pensacola.
But that federal prison, from what I understand, is about to close.
So who knows?
Right? The feds can send you anywhere in the country. They don't keep you in the state. You don't have to be kept in the state where the crime was committed. Of course, this was in international waters, so it doesn't really pertain.
But when it's a federal case, the feds can move you to any prison they want to move you in.
You won't you know, like a lot of times you're convicted in the state of Florida, you're going to serve your time in Florida. They can also move you, but it's not that you know, it's rare to get moved out of state. Rick Allen did.
From Indiana to Oklahoma, but Florida likes to keep them here, right?
Stephon Stearns, we're going to keep you right the hell here so we can do stuff to you. Anyway.
Um yeah, that's a good that's a good question to wonder what the feds would do with him and we don't get to see the we won't get to see this here this trial because it's a federal trial and it's slated to start in June.
I believe it's June the date for the for the trial to start. Um now when they went to court and he was released, you know, back to the family from what we understand he has been living with an uncle not either one of the parents. Um and that's been that way since he was since this happened right after it happened rather and they released the judge unsealed a 145 page document. I have access to the document. I did not purchase it yet. I'm going to do that in the morning I think so I can review the whole document cuz I like to read the documents myself and I want to be able to get it so I can go through the whole thing over the weekend and get the actual gist of everything, right?
Um I do have a pretty good timeline of some of the things that occurred. We all wondered what was taking so long, right?
With that investigation nobody was arrested for a while.
Um and we just go what are they doing? What are they investigating? What are they looking at? They were looking at a lot of things, you know what I mean, apparently cuz we all knew I've been on a cruise ship. I've been to Cozumel.
There are cameras everywhere. A lot of us knew that. What would these cameras yield? It should certainly see a lot of Anna's movements aboard the ship that night as well as Timothy's, her brother.
That's the stepbrother, right?
Um and boy it did show quite a bit.
Um what we do know so far like the night of November 6th at 7:35 that's when the stepbrother, TH, we'll call him that, TH the stepbrother, he entered the room and he wasn't seen leaving for 3 hours. And so, that was at 7:35 p.m. on November 6th.
You think they're going to go with a mental defense? Now, interesting, Elizabeth, because, you know, his mom had made the statements that she didn't give him his meds properly on the cruise. Like, she had forgotten to give him his sleep meds or whatever he was on. Um how what conditions did he have prior to this, right? Um will his defense be able to try to use any of that to mount a defense for him?
Will they try to use some sort of mental defense on him? It would be uh probably so, honestly, if he's already got pre-existing conditions, right? And was already on medications, they will absolutely try to tie that into it.
We've known that he kept Well, we've read in past uh statements that he continued to say he didn't remember what happened. And there's text messages that have been recovered where he allegedly kept uh texting his dad or his mom, I'm assuming, or his dad, maybe both, "I don't remember what happened. I don't remember what happened. I don't remember what happened." Right? How convenient that you don't remember anything.
What what caused that? Is that normal?
You got the brain fog?
Do you have an autoimmune disease we aren't aware of? What's going on with your brain fog, right? What do you mean you don't remember?
Well, the cameras know cuz he came into the room at 7:35 and he didn't leave for 3 hours.
At 7:00, he comes in at 7:35, Anna comes in at 7:38.
That's the last time she's seen alive on camera.
But at 7:51 is when her little brother comes back into the room. And he reported seeing Anna alive at 7:51.
So, that would really be the last time she was seen.
I don't know that the little brother would lie and say she was alive if she wasn't, right? He would be like, "I didn't see her."
So, I don't think the kid's not telling the truth.
Oh, that mom absolutely knew Elizabeth.
I think the dad did, too. We watched some of the um court proceedings they had in their custody case, cuz that's where we learned a lot of this investigation information from the beginning was through that those hearings.
Um they're a hot mess. They knew this kid had problems. One thing I don't get is why do you got all these kids on this cruise ship unsupervised?
Anna's 18, I get it. These boys were not. You had a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy who appear to be running around this ship willy-nilly all by themselves, doing whatever the hell they wanted, and apparently so was Anna.
My kids didn't get that option on the cruise ship. They were much younger, but damn it, no. There's a lot of people on that boat, people I don't know, people I can't trust, right? Uh you're not No, it's not happening.
You think they're going to try to use the mental defense, too, Rach?
Yeah. They probably will.
Now, so at 7:51, the little brother sees Anna, but he leaves the room again.
At 10:13 p.m., they can the cameras capture Timothy, T. H., looking out of the stateroom down the halls, right? As if he's looking for something before he walks out of the cabin.
But between 10:23 and 10:49, he is seen going in and out of the cabin two more times.
No Anna.
She never came out.
>> [snorts] >> Um Hang on, let me I got notes here in front of me in case in case I don't remember stuff.
All right. So, at 11:21, Anna's brother enters the cabin.
And he doesn't see her. That's the little brother, right? So, he comes back at 11:21 and does not see her.
So, that tells you the timeline of when he harmed Anna.
Right?
Or in that timeframe.
At 11:23 at So, the little brother comes in at 11:21, but he leaves out at 11:23.
He's laying there for a couple minutes.
At 11:31 p.m., they can see TH enter the room, leave, and come back again at 1:44.
Anna was found the very next day.
Says that on 12:09 the next day, the day she was discovered, her brother returns to sleep. This is right after midnight, right? So, now at 11:31, TH re-enters the room, leaves, and comes back again at 11:44. Then at 12:09, midnight, the little brother returns.
But Timothy, or TH, stopped him, right?
But as Arm out he says, and stopped him from coming in the room. So, the little boy has to wait outside in the hallway for a few minutes, and TH claimed he was changing clothes.
Employees found her damaged phone in the garbage and turned it over to lost and found. That phone was Anna's.
Um So, November 7th now, after the midnight, you know, him coming back into the room. 9:26 a.m., they see him leave the room again, but he returns at 9:48 a.m. and he's leaving again 2 minutes later.
And this time he had something in his left hand.
Right? And he's walking toward what they describe as the after the ship and he can be seen reaching into a trash bin.
Um At 9:52 he's reaching into the trash bin. I guess this is when he's putting her phone there. The phone was heavily damaged.
Um they say that after they did the distract own that her the movements from her phone matched his movements, right?
And he was seen smoking on deck 11, which is the same deck where her phone was found.
Um his data obtained by search warrant did not show like a relationship with Anna. Like there was no communication between the two to show that they were in any type of relationship, right?
The ME does report there were irregularly irregularities in her clothing that indicated SA.
What do they mean indicated, right? They need to watch their words and I'm coming at this now as what are y'all giving the defense? And I'm there's something else that comes up and I'm like, wait a minute. Ouch.
Doesn't mean anything, but it's it it We'll see.
Um Without getting too graphic today on the lunch live here, uh her she was fully clothed apparently wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants, but her underpants were bunched up, folded, and twisted. Like Okay? Y'all can imagine.
Now, according to the autopsy in the ME report though, there were tiny pinpoint red spots uh bleeding from her capillaries on her face and her eyes, the small capillaries.
There was bruising on her left ear and bruises on the side and back of her neck. That's what they were going by that Remember they said that was a strangulation chokehold type thing?
That is what gives them that indication from the bruising pattern on her ear and neck like that. And on the back of her neck also had some.
Um semen was found inside of her.
Determined SA occurred before death.
Um here's the kicker though.
The FBI obtained DNA from her brother TH and a person she had sex with on the cruise.
I don't know when that occurred, how she knows the person, who they are, what their age is, nothing about that person.
Again, she's 18 years old, but she snuck off long enough to you know, and now the poor little girl's business is out there that she had a hookup on a cruise. That could have been like a sweet memory for her for the rest of her life or it could have been a nightmare, who knows?
But that that might be a problem. I don't know because you would think if they found that they would be able to make a 1,000% DNA match.
But they didn't.
Like not that I've seen.
And that's worrisome.
Um results from the So they took DNA from both of the individuals, right? Um it said that there was very strong support from the inclusion of TH as the contributor of the male DNA mixture.
What What would mixture we talk Is it Anna's DNA and unknown male?
Maybe [snorts] they've done more you know, more more in-depth testing um that can prove that was his cuz I don't know why they can't prove it was. If it What is this? This is weird. It supports the inclusion of TH as the contributor.
It says this strong support.
I need to see that that DNA report, right? I need to know more about that.
Because I know enough covering cases that the defense is going to latch onto that right there.
If they can make something out of it, they're going to. But, here's the thing.
Whoever she had a little hookup with or they seen coming and going from her cabin once she enters and never comes back out. No, only person to be seen is TH, right?
>> [snorts] >> So, like I said, he was repeatedly texting the parents that he didn't remember anything.
Um and I told you guys about the dad receiving her diploma and everything. Um I don't know. What do you guys think as far as It sounds like they got a lot of good evidence on him.
And it appeared that he maybe moved her more than one time within that cabin.
Like did he panic and he's like, "What do I do now? Do I just And then he decided where wherever he hid the first time wasn't good enough, so he moves her again." I don't know how they really determined that she was moved attempted to be re-hid. They described it.
Um but she was under the bed and he had placed all the a life jacket box there and they the the little brother had had no clue.
I don't know if they'll motive you know, sometimes there is no motive. Sometimes it's just evil. Sometimes it's jealousy. Sometime I don't even know if motives matter to me anymore, you know what I mean? But yeah, it sounds like he might have been a little jealous. We heard her her ex-boyfriend, right? Talk about the time that she fell asleep on their FaceTime call, and allegedly the stepbrother comes into the room and gets on top of her.
And the boyfriend starts yelling at him, and whatever came of that?
Did no one tell her dad?
Did the boyfriend say, "Hey Anna, when you were asleep, freak came into your room and got on top of you.
Uh you better tell your dad."
Right? My dad would have been like, "Excuse me, sir. What were you doing in my daughter's room in the middle of the night? You better get You go live with your daddy. You ain't get Get out of here."
He had a daddy? You go live with your dad.
Can't be trusted in my daughter's. No, you don't Your kids come first. I don't know whatever happened to that. I don't know if uh her dad even knew about that incident, but he damn well should have.
Shantel should have been made aware of that incident. Your child is sneaking into his sister's room.
Come on. Where were these parents doing?
I'm so sick of seeing children get into all sorts of trouble, and we're just like blah balls to the walls at these kids.
Somebody was raising those kids.
And I'm I'm in the camp now we hold parents accountable. I get it. I got four kids. I'm not responsible for every little thing they do out there, but in the big scheme of things, I certainly am responsible. They're mine.
They're underage.
I'm [ __ ] responsible for what they do out there.
That's just the way I see it. Once they turn 18 and leave my sight, I can't control what they're little doing, but I hope I I hope I gave them the tools to make all the good decisions with, right?
But I am absolutely accountable for everything my minor child does, and I will stand on that.
I know some people may not agree with that, but I do. I feel like it's uh We're getting so far away from holding parents accountable these days, you know?
Why are we doing that?
Why are we giving adults free passes to be shitty adults?
You can't raise your children correctly.
Oh, we understand it's hard to raise kids. You probably should think about it before you decide to have one. I don't I don't know.
That's a whole thing we could get into, right?
Hey Fey, welcome in. I was trolling your channel last night, late last night. I couldn't sleep.
I wanted to sleep, but it just it just wasn't happening for me. So, I'm just scrolling around. I'm like, oh, check it out. So, I watched a few things.
I was a little bit all over the place.
I have seen some wild things over the past couple of days from content creators, from losing their [ __ ] on a live stream, going at it hard at a commenter.
Uh man, it's like, what in the world is going on out here in this in these streets with these people?
Why is it so personal, right?
Why?
It don't make any sense.
Elizabeth, yeah, parents do need to be held accountable more. I mean, don't if your child went out and did something wrong, aren't they going to come knock on your your door, right? They're going to come knocking on your door.
Now we see family or parents of these uh school shooters getting charged.
And I can't say I don't disagree with that.
I was raised in a house full of guns.
You don't touch them. You don't [ __ ] touch them.
Cuz the second you do, daddy's going to be standing there going, "What the hell are you doing?"
You prepared to use that?
Right? There was a whole list of rules in my house. I grew up in the deep south.
We got guns, we got trucks, we got it all, but you don't mess with them, you don't play with them.
And you never point one at somebody.
Those are to kill the animals we eat.
That's what I was told. Unless somebody breaks in, then it's, you know, whatever.
Kimberly, you saw some stuff, too. It was deplorable. It girl.
I'm like, I I have empathy for a lot of things I'm seeing, but I also feel like it's getting a little way too personal out there. And it's only esca- I saw a lot of [ __ ] Y'all Y'all know if Y'all know if y'all new or new around here, I cuss.
I saw it in the Idaho 4 case.
I saw it in the Delphi case.
Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing it in the Delphi case.
So, I'm backing off my Delphi coverage once again.
I will cover Rick Allen's oral arguments cuz at this point in my mind, the only thing matters is that man gets another trial. I don't give a [ __ ] who about any theories. None of us know what happened that day, right? We just Give us a new trial.
There's just a lot going on out there, and I'm trying to stay I'm trying to avoid all that.
Why does it got to be so personal? And why do we got to go to new heights with each case? Sebastian Rogers came along after Idaho and Delphi, and boy, did it get bad.
So bad that creators to this day are living to tear each other to pieces all because of the Sebastian Rogers case.
They're still at it today. I guarantee you you can go right now and find a live where they're doing it.
It's insane.
And now you got the Nancy Guthrie case, and look what all's happened.
You got live creators, not just the the weird ones on the street, but reputable ones losing their [ __ ] on live streams over a commenter's comment. It's like, "Wow, wild."
Richard Allen does deserve a new trial above everything else, right? That's all I want to see. I can't tell you what happened in the woods that day. I can't tell you whose theory is right or wrong.
I've been battling out that theory for years now. Nobody knows what happened that day. I got a pretty good idea, but you know, people are so convinced that the wrong thing is happening here. I don't know.
I think they're all missing it because they're so busy trying to get Who knows what happened? But, I do know this, our theories on what happened at Delphi is not going to free Richard Allen.
It's just not.
I can sit here and tell you five theories right now. None of those are going to free Richard Allen.
We need a new trial.
It needed to be televised and it needs to be fair.
End of story.
I mean, people should always Everybody should want that, right?
We should want good information, accurate information.
Sometimes, you know, bad information is shared and sometimes it can't be helped. A lot of places do a lot to go and vet what they're hearing and seeing and before we go live with it and some don't and it just is what it is.
All we can do is try to do it right around here, you know, and hope that the people come for it.
Yeah, Kimberly.
The best part about that was when he ate [ __ ] jumping the eight cones. Like, come on.
And then you got that other guy going around jumping on panels, cussing everybody out. You know, it's like what?
You stupid songs and stuff. Poor Miss Nancy. I hope Savannah has a really good private investigation firm working [clears throat] in conjunction with the FBI.
And I really hope now that it appears FBI has sent that hair to Austria labs.
If it was relevant, they'll have a name, but does that name mean they're going to have an arrest? No.
You got to make sure that name's the guy at the door.
And then you got to find that guy, and you got to swab him, take a hair, see if he matches, right?
>> [snorts] >> Even with Brian Kohberger, once we you know, we have a sheath, we got your DNA, we got we got some DNA here. They still had to swab Kohberger's cheek and make a direct comparison to what was on that sheath, and it was a match.
Right? So, once you arrest your perpetrator, you got to get their DNA.
Make sure it matches what you got.
Hell, that hair that they found, honestly, could have been from one of Nancy's friends, because she had friends over a couple days before that for her birthday.
Right? Could have been anybody's damn hair in that house they found. It doesn't mean it was the killer.
Nine children. Yeah.
Isn't that crazy?
What was that? Oh, oh, I just hit a comment by accident.
Oh, okay. It was It was Hawkeye's It was Phase comment I was trying to read, and when I clicked it, it hit it for me, and I couldn't see it.
There's so much negativity that you unsubbed to so many that they're mocking.
Um I'm not even I'm not even talking about It's not even just the YouTubers on Nancy Street, right? It's It's just somebody specific, but um yeah, they lost their [ __ ] the other night on a live stream, and I It wasn't even their channel.
I was like, man, I I feel it, and I understand it, but man, we're getting a little too uh a little too personal here, you know?
That listen to me and nobody else BS has got to stop.
No, we're not all retired law enforcement here. Some of us are just armchair detectives and moms who've been watching true crime our entire lives while raising these babies, right?
That's what we're base And we're well schooled in knowledge of forensic files.
So, yeah, we got some knowledge, too, and experience.
On the YouTubes.
Oh, no, for people stop You know, a lot of times, too, these creators want their communities to start fighting with each other, you know what I mean?
Like, I don't try not to um go all specific around here cuz I'm not trying to have creator wars and make my show about all that, you know, and our our discussions about that stuff. For some reason, every time I go to scroll through my comments, there we go. It always want me to hide everybody. I'm like, no.
Too much crossover and closeness with media and Ellie. Everybody's suspicious of everybody right now, right? Do you work for the defense? Do you work for the prosecution? I [ __ ] don't work for nobody, right? I just I'm out here talking on the streets.
Um it's obvious that it feels like there are platforms that, you know, I don't know they work for a defense or a prosecution, but boy, they sure lean into it. And they will sure go heavy for one side or the other, and that's fine cuz they can believe what they want. I have no problem people believing different things, but we I like to look at all sides, both sides here.
And try to do it fair, you know? If we need to call out somebody's [ __ ] we'll do it, of course, when it when necessary, but that is icky. It's like sometimes it's like uh What are y'all doing?
There's a lot of factors could to consider with the DNA.
Very immature.
Yeah.
Uh uh uh Got a plane flying over.
This is Oh, I didn't See, now I can't read it. Hold on.
Why is it doing this? I'm not used to being on my phone out here, guys, and trying to navigate the the um comments at the same time.
Hey, Semi Sharp. I'm just seeing you came in.
You [snorts] had to learn from all the different channels and groups in order to get where I needed to be. Salty, I'll never leave your channel. Thank you for that. I um I did the same thing, you know? I'm no different than you guys are. I was also a part of communities. I was in the chats, you know, and saw things that were questionable, right? And had to leave a community because of it. Um you learn. That's why I always say be careful in YouTube streets cuz when you got people out there like trying to force their stuff on you and listen to me and nobody else. They're all whack jobs and all That's weird cuz I think we can all We all have different experiences, right? So, we all bring a different aspect to the table.
Um you might think of something I didn't. I might think of something you didn't. You may have a better thought that You know, we unpack it together and move through it. We're not out here trying to say don't listen to everybody else, they're idiots. That's That's crazy. Even there are people I don't care for that I know are going to have an opposing view, I still might go listen to check myself. Right? Checks and balances. No tunnel vision here. I'm going to be open-minded and absolutely look at your side of it.
And I do that all the time.
I think if we don't do that we're not doing stuff justice sometimes, right?
Cuz I mean even there's been times I've played a piece so Oh, we hate this person. Y'all been the ignore the creator and watch the interview, okay?
You're lost in the weeds now and you will never hear what the interview said because you're too hung up on how you hate that creator, right? I I get past all that. I'm a grown-up. I'm not here for that creator. I'm here to hear the interview, right? And take what I can from it.
Y'all did some weed eating weed eating lately? That's It's a cool way to put it.
>> [laughter] >> Healthy discussion. Yes, we don't want to force opinions, right?
I'm so I like to be open. I want to be um Hell, I stayed open all the way through Idaho 4 until the guy said, "No, I don't want to go to trial after all. Hey, I I I scary.
I'm going to take a plea deal." I'm like, "Okay, he did it." No more of that.
No more wondering.
Right? I was so willing to sit through that entire trial and be a fair juror and take everything with a grain of salt and then make a decision if that guy was guilty or not.
I had a feeling he was, right?
But I was willing to listen to every piece of evidence offered at trial. So disappointed it didn't happen.
That was one trial I really wanted to watch because of the legal implications that could have come from that trial. Do you know how many cases in the future would have cited Idaho versus Kohberger?
Numerous.
And Anne Taylor knows it. She was fighting hard to get to trial cuz she wanted it that bad. Telling y'all.
Mother said no. That's too risky for my boy.
He might get the death penalty and I can't deal with that. I don't even like the fact that Bundy had to deal with it, she said.
We were ready to watch that trial.
Rachel, um it was because we wanted to see it too, right?
And show us that there was nothing nefarious here. Show us what this guy did.
People need to people need to know about this evil presence in our in our space.
We're going to walk around in naive land and pretend everything is roses and rainbows and we got no deranged people walking around. Excuse me, yes we do.
I love my short that I made when I used that Morgan Wallen song. Keep a loaded.44 by the bed.
For the jeepers and the creepers who ain't right in the head. [laughter] That's my favorite short for Brian Kohberger and I got to use that music on it.
He was the perfect example.
You watched Mer Goodness, I am glad you bought him up brought bought him brought him up because we've got a discussion to come out of that as well. Y'all remember how when the uh Kohberger trial was going to happen and Anne Taylor filed motions to keep the words uh psychopath out, uh murder, different all these words she wanted kept out of trial.
Well, Barry and his defense don't want victimology brought into trial. In fact, when he was charged that first time, there were some hearings and decisions made about that. And now that you would think with those charges, that's a like that's a whole separate thing in my opinion.
Case the like Ali and Bob describe it, the case law like a the judge has already made decisions, right? So, would another judge go back and change that decision? Well, he was recharged, so it should be a whole new ballgame in my opinion.
But, I got to go back and review the entire document. I've reviewed part of it. But, yeah, they're wanting to keep the victimology out, the term out. Um Suzanne's pattern of life, right? All of that is coming into play or not maybe not, we'll see. But, I think it's a very interesting legal battle.
Um considering we always consider the victimology parts, right?
All of this stuff. Yeah, Cindy, they don't want any victimology. I can't pull the document up right now cuz I am on my phone sitting outside, guys. But, I do have the document. I have been reviewing it and I do want to do a show on that.
Um and as we all know, in case y'all don't know, public service announcement, we were warned not to live stream Barry's uh hearings.
JLR did not heed the warning from the judge and he live streamed the hearing. Then we were all banned from the courtroom. So, y'all can thank JLR directly for the fact that we're not seeing any Barry Morphew hearings now.
And I hope that his people No, they'll never understand it. They don't care.
They only care about making funny songs about Nancy and making sure everybody's fed.
And riding around looking in ditches and wash. I don't [ __ ] know what they're doing.
But he got us all banned from the trial or from the hearings.
>> [snorts] >> He Barry already thought he was special, right? Don't look at me. Don't Don't put a camera on my face. Don't look at my daughters. Do not show them. Do not speak of them. All these Barry's getting coddled over there. It's my opinion. And JLR helped it.
Uh we got a troll in here?
Not for long.
All right, mods. If we got a troll, y'all do your thing. I'm delayed on my chat back here.
We don't got time for all that mess. We grown-ups.
October 13th seems a while to put this guy on trial.
Mhm.
>> [laughter] >> Oops, who is that? Let me see.
Why is it doing that? Sophia. Hi, welcome in.
I cannot get my chat to scroll properly.
Sorry, guys.
I don't know. Do I have a Yeah, there Yeah, butterfly's in here. She got it.
She got it. Like we do not mind people coming in and having a different opinion than we do as long as everybody's cool, right? And uh can be an adult and share.
But you coming in doing childish stuff, we don't even got time for that. We just say bye. We don't We don't worry about it and discuss it.
What are you multitasking over there, Simi? What are you doing?
Uh Lord, some of these Yeah, good job, butterfly. They're on it. They're usually on it.
They know we that we don't have a lot of rules here. That everybody's welcome to share an opinion, but we don't put up with the crap.
Okay, cool. Rachel is here, too. Good.
A flashback to the '70s.
The picture is talking to me.
>> [laughter] >> That wasn't from the '70s, though, the picture. I'm not the I was just a little kid in the '70s.
>> [laughter] >> That picture was is about a year old.
Or actually a little over a year old, actually.
It's at a concert.
Y'all ain't getting me on cam. I don't I'm not doing all that. I don't care about all that.
Got a picture.
>> [laughter] >> And I got others to prove that it's not a fake picture. It's really me. Somebody I had three options and um somebody chose that picture for me.
I felt like it was rude not to show my picture when I had people on panel that are showing their face, so But I hope everybody really understands why I made the decision not to cam up in the very beginning of all of this. And I just recently shared my image of my face. I've had an avatar up all this time.
This has just been something what in the past week and a half, guys.
Um because people like to come after you in this space because of your opinion in certain cases.
And at the time I began streaming, that was the case.
Um And the reason why I won't cover a particular case, let's just leave it at that. Now, I'm a little more comfortable cuz I got everything locked down. I true crime, my family doesn't, right? Um So, that's why.
That's why I don't go on camera. It's nobody's business. You got my picture and if that's, you know, if that's makes you uncomfortable, I can't help it.
Okay. My grandson's letting the dogs out. They They were taking their nap.
Um Thank you, Kimberly, for joining the conversation. That was I love conversations with all you guys, right?
And bringing back true conversation, it is a lost art, you know? Everybody wants to just yell and scream and pop off and it's like, no, can we just have a conversation?
And work it out?
I'm that person.
I don't like leaving stuff unfinished.
Let's just um have a talk and figure it out. Sometimes we'll never figure it out, right?
That's right, Simi. Safety first because you you can come at me all day long and twice on Sunday. I don't really give a [ __ ] But don't ever come at one of my babies, right? They're innocent beings in my life. Do not.
And there are people out there who absolutely live to go stalk your social medias and find all the pictures of your family. Like, what is that going to do, right? You're going to threaten me with by posting my family's photos? That's weird.
We need to We need to get away from all that [ __ ] in this in this space and we got to take it back, right? The second we take it back, maybe change will happen.
Instead of putting up with it, buying into it, playing into it, being a part of it, right?
That that mentality, That mob mentality thing people like to do.
>> [snorts] >> We would rather just um have some conversations.
Well, thank you. Um that was my cousin and I went to a a Kenny Chesney concert that night. We had a We had a really good time.
>> [laughter] >> Probably more than we should have, but we had a damn good time.
One of the best nights ever.
Right, Elizabeth, we share like some things, right? But we don't all go real life and sharing things that don't need to be shared or don't want to share, right? Uh like I said, we all have different experiences and can bring different um things to the table when we talk about these cases, right? And I think that's um like like she said that it's a lost art. And so I appreciate the ones That's why I love the name of the show, Coffee and Crime Conversations. And I love that y'all want to come be a part of the conversation.
Hello, Journey. Welcome in.
I'm just looking back over at the the chat, guys. Sunny Wisconsin, all right.
It's not sunny in Florida at the moment, but I got partly cloudy sky.
Got a little bit of humidity coming back in. I think some more rain's coming back into the picture. And it's supposed to rain tomorrow a lot, and I got to go to that graduation. So I'm hoping that it comes in and does its thing and gets the hell out of here before we go.
Spreading love is better than spreading hate. Amen.
All day, every day, right? We can we can try. We should.
I think a lot of empathy gets lost, too, cuz people are so People can be so hateful, right? Even in the comment section toward family members and toward people or somebody that or another creator even or another community member they don't like or whatever. It's like That's crazy.
I I would have I was I wouldn't want to live in all that turmoil and drama because it affects your energy, right?
And I'm a I'm a high-energy person. I like to raise the energy in a room, not lower it.
Misery loves company and I'm not your girl. Oh, I'm not here for all that, right?
So, we try try to live in the in the light, right? Walk in the light.
Be the light.
Not the darkness.
When you had rain for 2 days, I'm on day I think I'm on day three. It could be four now.
It's been raining all week.
And I was like yesterday thinking it was over. My son's like, "No, Mom, it's going to rain all day Friday and Saturday and Sunday." And I'm like, "Stop telling me."
I don't want to hear it.
I only consult the weather and the clocks and calendars as needed.
Otherwise, it's whatever.
It's whatever. Y'all, my neighbor moved and took her chickens and now I have no more comedy in the backyard. I love to sit out here and watch the wildlife, the big hawks that snatched a snake and carried it across the sky. I watched that the other day. That was quite eventful. I love to watch this wildlife out here. But, my neighbor had these chickens and um they were always so comical to me, but she just moved cuz she's getting married and took her chickens with her. I was like, "Damn it."
You're on day four of rain, two. What is going on in the southeast, Simi?
It's prepping for hurricane season.
That's all it's doing. It's It's showing us what's in store.
I watched that big symposium the other night from the hurricane center cuz I'm in Florida. I mean, I'm a lifelong resident. I can't play around.
They don't think we're going to have as many big storms this year.
But who knows if they're correct or not.
We'll see. Depends on that El Niño, whatever the hell her name is.
>> [laughter] >> Karma is coming. Oh, shh.
Okay, that train can be swift when she wants to be.
Sometimes I feel like asking her what takes so long.
You just visited Devil's Lake Wisconsin State Park. I bet that's pretty, right?
I'm so far from Wisconsin.
I'm like I'm the Like I can see the state forest from where I'm sitting right now. It's vast. It's in Florida, but it would be cool to um get out and see some cool things.
You saw a flight a hawk flying with a snake the other day? I I was talking to my mod butterfly on the phone out here when it happened.
There's this big tree behind my property in this field, and I love to just watch that tree.
I saw something weird up in it one night, this bizarre animal. I got the spotlight out, and I shined it, and his eyes were staring back at me. I was like, "Oh, goodness, it's looking at me."
But I was watching that tree, and all of a sudden a hawk came into view, and yeah, I was like, "Holy [ __ ] butterfly, he's got a snake."
Fortunately, I'm under the pole barn with a tin roof above me, so he couldn't drop it on me. Cuz we were laughing cuz that video we saw that one time where the lady got the snake dropped on her from the hawk. I was like, "No, not today, hawk. I'm not happening. I'm terrified of snakes."
I would rip my own self to pieces trying to get the snake off of me. It was a big snake, though.
He landed out there in the field, but I was not about to walk out there to video it. I'm like, y'all have at it in the field out there. Do your thing, nature.
You saw one with a flying with a rat last week. Oh.
>> [laughter] >> We get these little um field mice.
And I got a a calling the polecat and kitty. We have an outside cat.
And um every now and then she'll leave one in the front yard for me. Like, what are you doing? Can you just take it somewhere else and leave it?
Why?
And they've been plowing the fields here, so they're getting ready to plant.
Yes, snakes freak me out, too.
We have a lot a lot of the red tails here, um Rachel, their wingspan, oh my god. When I lived in town, um at my aunt's, we were taking care of my aunt, my cousin, it was during the pandemic, so we were out in the backyard all the time.
And this is in the city, right? But, there was a family of hawks that lived in my aunt's neighborhood, and they they had this home in this big-ass tree.
They would fly over the backyard, and there you could literally get shade, they would fly so low above our heads, and their wingspans were, I mean, just wild, right? You could just the whole shade the backyard, you could feel it was crazy.
I don't see them flying that low around here, you know, I've seen them circling a few times and that's all that good stuff, but thank goodness our little dog is now a little bigger, and she's no longer like the prime target.
>> [laughter] >> Yeah, she's bringing me the treats and leaving them because she So, my mama always said, too, them cats will bring you presents and leave them. They love you.
Cuz I have an indoor cat and an outdoor cat.
Outdoor cat was a a wild cat to start with, more feral cat.
Well, I had a male cat that would not stay in the house.
Like he would wake up at 3:00 a.m.
just screaming his ass off, right? I'm like, "Get outside."
Like saying I know, he comes home one day and I hear two meows. I was like, "What in the world?" And I look back and he has got a mini-me trailing behind him.
And apparently this lady across the street thought she was like a cat rescue lady and had a bunch of cats.
Well, the county came out, rounded them all up, fixed a bunch of cats, and then turned them back loose, right? I didn't know that.
So, I get this little kitten and I'm like, "You look just like your dad. You have to be his kitten. Why you Why he's brought his bastard child home to me?"
So, but when upon further checking, the little kitten was fixed, right? So, it just I fed it and it never left. So, it's the pole barn kitty. He stays outside.
>> [snorts] >> And he catches stuff.
But he's the coolest cat. The coolest outside cat ever.
You got somebody that works with the hogs and the Falcons. Mm.
Apalachicola National Forest.
If I go down in the forest, I have to go video it and then come back and upload cuz if I get in there, I might not have phone service. It's spotty, right? I I live literally on the edge of one of Florida's largest national forest. And it's vast.
A lot of places to hide things. Let me say that. I would not want to go missing around here.
But you'd have to know this area. I will say that.
People know their areas, right? Certain places you find certain people. You're like, "Ah, they just didn't get there willy-nilly. You had to know the area."
We've got some beautiful areas around here in the creeks and stuff and uh I ought to film some of it to show you guys.
I like to go up to the river and sit on the riverbank. I've done a couple of lives from my phone right there cuz sometimes the internet will be okay, sometimes it won't.
But it's time to go get in the boat with my daddy and ride down the river and look at all the really cool old trees in the river.
I like to fish, right? But I will also put down that pole at one point and I will just become totally enthralled in nature. I got my phone out, I'm taking pictures, I'm and my sister's like, "What are you doing?"
Like, are you fish? I'm taking pictures right now.
>> [laughter] [clears throat] >> I also, yeah, White Earth Reservation, okay.
I also live We There's the Blackwater State Forest and then we also have Eglin Air Force Reservation, which is one of the largest air forces in the world.
It's right here next door. And my dad literally lives at the edge of their property, deep in the woods.
Where he likes it.
A hawk flew down and got one of the chickens. Oh, no. Yeah, my neighbor, when she got her chickens, um she set them up under her pole barn and put a coop up so they couldn't be um had.
She tried the free-range thing with them, but they're a little uh nasty sometimes and she found that out real quick, so they had to go in the coop, right?
You got new line on your pole yesterday, Rach. You're You're one You're at one step ahead of me.
You are one step ahead of me.
I haven't even dropped a line in the water yet and I'm dying.
This graduation will be over in a minute and then I'm going to have a little cookout. I think the 13th for my kiddos and um I'm ready to get my summer on. I'll tell you. I don't like I sit I go within all winter, right? Try to do the work. Try to do the I don't like the winter.
Nothing good comes of it, so I might as well do energy work. This winter was a little off for me to say the least. So, I didn't get to put in the work that I like to do. So, I've been kind of getting back to myself over the past couple of weeks. I'm I'm a summer baby.
I was born smack-dab in the middle of summer and that's the way I like it.
There is beauty in every part of this great country of ours. That is no lie, Karen, cuz we see some really really nice um scenery, right? From And I love it when you guys share from where you are all from, too, because we do have such a a large country, right? And we don't all get to go see it.
Like I don't fly, so I'm not going to be getting in the airplane and going away.
But if I can drive there, maybe.
That [snorts] cruise I went on that time did me in on boats when the stabilizer broke and it rocked and rolled all the way from Mexico back to the New Orleans across the Gulf. I'm like, "Oh, hell no. That was not fun."
So, I will drive.
Southern Kentucky, nice.
June is your My birthday is June 9th.
Faye, what is yours?
My granddaughter's a June 4th. She was just a few days from my birthday.
Where Jim and Az?
I was born in the summer of love, like technically for real. It was '67 was the summer of love, but my parents weren't hippies.
Far from hippies, right?
Family in Kentucky, Tennessee, Atlanta, Maryland, Florida, all over. Yeah.
My family's mostly in the Southeast, right?
We've got some family up in Arkansas.
They've been there for years and years and years.
Some in Tennessee.
Some in Alabama.
Most in Florida.
Mardi Gras season.
I haven't been to a good Mardi Gras parade seem in so long. Like I used to go to every single one we have we have a big parade every year, the one the major one that I go to. It's always so much fun, but I have not been in the last couple of years. Like I I need to get back to living a little bit, right?
>> [snorts] >> It's always a fun time. The kids love it.
An Aquarius, nice. February 14th.
Aquarius are fun. I love Aquarius.
Hawkeye is our friend and I. We've all we we have got to get together. I've been busy. Uh friend I have not forgotten about you. Guys, we've been talking about doing um shows on like natural healing and crystal healing and things about our birthdays and just all kinds of things like that. There's a lot. Um and she knows a lot too and a lot of you seem to interested. We were talking about it the last time I was live from the backyard.
We were having a little discussion and we were like, yeah, we're going to put together some stuff and work on some content for shows like that. I don't know that it will be on the true crime channel. Though, right? I've got to figure that out if we want to set up a second channel to just like go have fun.
We're not going to worry about monetizing, all that good stuff. Just like a community hangout or I could keep it right here on this and do it like a members only, right? For the members who want to participate in that type of show. Community hangout. There's all kinds of ways we can do it. We can do whatever we want. May 9th, my son is May 7th, Kim.
That's awesome.
We'll have to get everybody's birthdays so we all know what's up.
Yes, get busy living. Hey.
What good is living a life you've been given if all you do is stand in one place?
Right?
I love that song. It's It was remade by Kenny Chesney. If y'all want go look it up. It's a good song. It's kind of like one of my I have a couple of life songs I like to live by. My favorite all-time is "Cool Change".
Now that my life is so prearranged.
Lots of those friendly faces showing me ways to go and I never want to lose their inspiration. That is my song, hands down.
Your son's is tomorrow? Oh, nice.
And your sister's May 11th. Awesome.
Simi used to teach that stuff. We're going to do it, Simi. I got my link to you.
We'll definitely have you up as well cuz I know you do know things as well and it's like we can all bring to the table different things, right? I know she has a lot of different things that she's going to bring to the table with it.
I'm looking forward to something like that for us because we can all just kick back and chill and and do that sort of thing. We also haven't forgotten about the shady lady show that may come every now and then. When we need to throw shade, we will and we'll call it the shady lady show.
>> [laughter] >> Little River Band.
>> Those Taurus, y'all.
They're little bulls. I know my boy is a Taurus. He a hard-headed He's hard-headed.
>> [laughter] >> One's a Sagittarius and one's a Taurus, so my kids are so different. And I got a little Pisces.
The earth provides lots and lots of benefits to us. Yes, it does.
And you know, I just trying to educate my son because he is only 19 and he has been diagnosed with the same autoimmune disease that me and my mom had.
But he was diagnosed way earlier than than me and my mom were.
Like we were full ass adults about to die before they told us what was wrong with us, right? My kid's already been diagnosed. So, me trying to teach him cuz a lot of times with autoimmune, it's what you do to take care of yourself, right? And what you consume and don't consume cuz there's no quick fix with medication for any autoimmune disease. Especially ours is a thyroid thing, so we have to be careful about a lot of the things. So, a lot There's a lot that can go into those kinds of conversations, right?
Is Forest here?
>> [snorts] >> Your future daughter-in-law's is tomorrow. Aw. Yes, Butterfly's getting a new daughter-in-law, guys. Congratulate her.
He popped the question and she said yes.
>> [snorts] >> That is so sweet.
Shady lady idea, right, Simi?
Sometimes you just got to Don't force our hand.
We're typically very nice people, but we need to do it, we will.
>> Oh.
There it went again. It's trying I I hit a comment. It gives me the option to time you out and if I I'm trying so hard not to make it hit that button.
Yeah, Kimberly. I have to try because he you know, there's going and watching my mom go through it and knowing what I went through with it and like they destroyed my mom's thyroid. They removed mine by surgery.
The kind of disease we have, our body thinks our thyroid is bad and it attacks it, right? And eventually it destroys the thyroid. Um and then the less thyroid you have, the less thyroid function you have and all that all the problems come from that. Sometimes this thyroid will shoot out so much hormone that it's unbelievable. And he experiences that right now. But they say he's not, you know, his his blood test are normal. He's borderline, blah blah blah. No need for medication right now.
And there's only one medication you can take and it's just Synthroid.
And we have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I don't have um the Graves' disease. We have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. My mom, me and my son.
I wouldn't They keep telling my daughter she doesn't, but we both feel like she does. And I'm just waiting for those test results to come back eventually saying she does.
It's wild. I feel for I feel for people who have autoimmune because it can be tricky to diagnose, right? And to to finally get it diagnosed can take way too long. People spend way too much time being sick. I know I did.
Yeah, Faye. I'm really actually very interested in talking to you about a few things like one-on-one, like on a panel.
It's hard to do it here in a chat. So, this weekend things are slowing back down for me and I do I will be getting with you because I I do want to have that panel. Forest, you're on Synthroid.
Okay.
Yeah, we there's another one we have to take because it's Tapazole and it's the opposite of Synthroid, right? Because with Graves it's like they're the thyroid is too slow. With Hashimoto's it's too fast. We stay thin. We I I've been thin my entire life. I was promised by doctors, "We remove this thyroid, you're going to gain a bunch of weight."
I was like, "Oh, thank God."
Well, it never happened.
Right? And they're like, "Especially now that you're older." I was like, "I'm ready for it. Bring it on."
No. I was like, "Damn it, man."
And what did she say?
You've scrolled your way to the next live so many times. What do you >> [laughter] >> Forest, you were out trying to find a new chicken for Penny. She >> [laughter] >> You sound like me cuz I said today to this puppy, "I have to go buy you a new toy in the morning cuz you destroyed what you've had."
It She keeps going and getting my grandson's Croc. No matter where I move it and hide it, she she's gone. I hear her.
I get up and I'm like, "What are you doing now?"
Uh for some reason she loves the Crocs.
Wants to chew it up.
So, I got to go buy her a new toy in the morning. I'm not going anywhere today.
Cindy, it's it's a struggle, isn't it? People don't understand. They're like, "Oh, I would give anything to be thin." No, no you wouldn't. You know what I heard my entire life? [ __ ] you not, growing up in the South with a mama who cooked like nobody's business, right?
Oh. "I need to take you home and feed you."
Like, excuse me?
Are you insinuating my mama and daddy do not feed me? I'm the last one at the table.
What are you talking about? Take me home and feed me.
Insult me again, fat ass.
That's what I felt like saying to people. As I got older, I literally felt like saying that to people.
I heard it my entire life as a child.
Right, those cheesy dollar store toys.
Now, my big dog would chew them up in a second, but the little one, she takes her a little longer.
In fact, she was bored the other day, so I went in my room and I got a with this cat toy the cat won't play with anymore.
I tossed it out there and oh boy, she's just playing with it and and then her and the big dog both get a hold of it and want to play tug-of-war and in no time it was gone. It was like I was like, "Damn.
You dogs, y'all got to have something harder than that."
You heard bird legs, Kimberly, right?
[laughter] It's not just heavy people that have to hear this [ __ ] It's us too, right? And people don't get it. It's like, y'all quit being rude. Stop and think sometimes. Sometimes people cannot help it. Doesn't mean they're an addict or have anorexia or don't get fed by their parents, you weirdos.
See, I'm only 5'3", so if I was tall, oh man. Oh man. Now see, my son is he is tall like his dad, but he's lanky, right? He's thin like his mom.
>> [snorts] >> It's wild. I know people Any of you you go online and you see like they'll put a picture up of a lady, like a celebrity. Like, "What happened to her? She's gained a little weight." Oh my god, so what, right?
Let's go put all those men on blast. Can we do that?
With all those fake toupees and what whatever you're doing to yourselves. Can we Can we put these men on blast?
Are they jealous cuz they can't go make theirself look better women can?
>> [laughter] >> Always wondered that. Cuz women can make theirselves look better with makeup and hair then them dudes whatever and they're just there. [laughter] You're 5'4, right?
I hope I don't shrink. Do we shrink as we get old? We always heard that we do.
>> [laughter] >> Kimberly says I'm 6 ft.
When I got on it when I was standing on the chair and my son walks up like I'm in the kitchen doing something I had to get the chair to get to the top of the cabinet and he'll walk in and I can see eye to eye and like, "This is what it feels like to be tall, dude." He's like, "Yeah, you can see everything from up here." I'm like, "You shut up."
>> [laughter] >> Just shut up.
It is weird though when you climb up on something high and you go look and you're like, "Damn, this is how tall people Tall folks got it made." They can see things I cannot see coming.
>> [laughter] >> Please warn me when something's coming.
Exactly, Faye. It's just as people don't get it. That's why I'm saying I got to the point where I wanted to say rude things back to people. It always seemed the ones that were going on about me being underweight were overweight, right? I'm like, are you kidding me right now? Do you know the things I could say to you that But, I also understand you might just be a big-boned person. I don't know.
I was brought up where you just don't do that. You don't make fun of people. You don't You don't ever know what's going on with somebody.
Yes.
There's nothing wrong with helping people, but have your boundaries, especially empaths, right?
Empaths get into real quick trouble when they don't set good, strong boundaries.
It takes a lifetime to learn that sometimes. And sometimes you set them too strong, and then you're like, oh [ __ ] I'm not empathetic enough anymore.
Can't just can't let it absorb into you and become you, right? When you get that icky feeling, you're like, what is wrong? You've consumed somebody's energy accidentally.
Especially if there's nothing wrong in your life, right? It's usually what it is.
What? She says, one time going to the church, my husband was told to feed that girl. Well, it caught me the wrong way at church. So, I can only imagine.
So, I said, maybe your husband needs to feed you less. And I didn't go back. Oh, snap.
You ain't wrong for saying it.
That is crazy that people think that, right? That they can just say that and be It's okay to say that to you.
You get the high stuff, and I'll get the low stuff. I love that.
>> [laughter] >> Teamwork, right? You siblings Y'all know how to get it done. I got six siblings.
I know how I know what it's like.
Yeah, you don't know what their journey is, Rachel. What could be causing their uh what appears to be underweight or overweight. What God, do we strive for absolute perfection? I don't know if anybody is an absolute perfection, right?
Well, they could be fake perfection.
There's a lot of that.
That That's a lot of what you know, those beautiful lives on Instagram and the perfect bods. Right? And they're fake as hell. And sad because these young girls don't realize it. I made a comment one time it was like, I don't know, at least over a year ago.
And I don't remember what brought it up.
It was in somebody's chat and some about eyelashes.
And they were talking about wearing fake eyelashes and I laughed and said, "No, I don't need those things." And some little girl in the comments come back and told me I was a old lady to get with the times. I'm like, "Honey, if you want to go be fake, go do it." But I get it. You go be pretty. But when you take a shower that night or go to bed with that guy and you got to peel off the eyebrows and the lashes and the hair and the fake ass.
What's left? Right? He's going to know eventually that you're fake. So, you do you, boo.
Go look good all you want, but it all has to come off at some point. And then they're going to know the absolute truth. But unless they're them ladies that sleep in it, right? They're never coming out of it. I don't know.
But I think society is a lot of the problem.
Yes, it came from the DNA. Y'all know my pawpaw was a very strong, physically strong man. My pawpaw stood 5'3".
Very short man.
But very very strong man, right? That was my mom's side.
That's where I get my cussing from. My papa was a sailor man.
>> [laughter] >> I always like to blame my papa.
>> [snorts] >> I miss him so much, but I just feel like I've so much of him in me.
So much just comes out naturally.
My girls are pretty grounded, right? So, I didn't have any issues, but I can only imagine having girls today with all that they're exposed to and what society holds as beauty, right?
What society tells us to do may be the wrong thing.
And sometimes we don't realize it until it's too late.
All right, guys. I think I'm going to get off of here and go finish what I was doing in the house and uh keep an eye on some of the cases we're watching and keep collecting my notes cuz I will be doing a show this weekend.
I will probably be live on Saturday since I won't be on Friday.
Um I don't have any plans this Saturday that I'm aware of yet. So, I'm thinking about just being live on Saturday evening. Um I'll make sure the mods are available as well.
And we'll get to reading some of these documents. I want to go over that Morpheus uh document about the victimology stuff.
Because what the implications of that going forward, right? In the in the in the court cases as to what's allowed into court and what isn't. Um because they say it doesn't hold any evidentiary evidentiary value, right? It but it shows it can show a lot as far as um normal pattern of behavior and things of that nature.
>> [snorts] >> Um so, I really want to read the document and try to understand.
Yes.
Oh, you're welcome. I The goal is to create a safe space for everybody, right? I ran NFT stuff for about 3 years with an NFT team. And I was I ran social media on Twitter. I held Twitter spaces. We put personalities together for shows.
A lot of research, a lot of work. We I lived in a Discord for it felt like 3 years. You know, we're running community.
Um So when I decided to go true crime, my goal was to build an authentic, genuine community, right?
Naturally. And that's what I've been able to do here. So I appreciate the ones who have found us and helped us do a slow build.
That fast build sometimes can kill you and you just sink. But I This slow build has been nice and I appreciate it.
I do appreciate it.
Victimology is a big deal, Rachel. And the implications, right, going forward as far as what they will And they Like I said, there was already some decisions made um in the older case. So that's the part I want to figure out and make sure I'm correct about when I go live and talk about it, right? Cuz y'all know I don't like to go half-assed and willy-nilly. I want to make sure we understand what we're talking about. Um Yeah, thank you for the congratulations on my son. He's excited. He's You know, this kiddo has been God, since he was 15, he's been working.
He's been working damn near full-time for a long time, going to school. Cuz he has a program at his school where you can you leave half the day and you go to work or whatever.
He's been doing that for like 2 years.
So and now he's he's been he's he works all the time. And now we figure out what the next move is, right? What's he going to do for college? What is he He's got options. He's been talking to his counselors at the school for a long time because he's always been in those gifted programs. So they're like the scholarships and all that. We're we're navigating that part now.
Um I just encourage him to go to school for something you enjoy, right?
Don't go for what's going to guarantee you a job because what if you hate it?
What if 10 years from now you're like, "Damn it, I hate this job. I hate life.
I don't want to go to work today."
Take something and do something you're going to enjoy. That's all I wish for my kids, right? That so they can wake up in the day in the morning and not be upset they have to go to this shitty job.
>> [laughter] >> Right?
So who knows what the future holds for him.
It's his decision and I'll uh backing whatever he decides.
So all right, guys. I got a rain cloud coming and I'm going to head in before it hits me. Thank you all for joining me here for this little impromptu afternoon conversation.
Getting caught up on a few things. I appreciate it. Um I just said I won't see you guys tomorrow cuz I'll be doing the very last minute stuff and getting ready for the the evening, but I will be back on Saturday.
Um Saturday evening and we'll do a live show and get back at this true crime stuff. Um Just the facts, ma'am. We do like the facts around here and we love to read the court documents. We try to base a lot of it, you know, from the court documents. Our theories, if we believe what we believe, based on what we read in court documents. So we love to jump into documents here.
So we'll get into it. All right, guys.
Again, thank y'all for coming in. I appreciate y'all. Uh I know that um Didn't I see you last night? I think Jay made her way to the airport for the Crime Con of it all. So y'all go check out. I don't know what she's got going on or what kind of updates she'll be giving from the Crime Con, but if y'all are interested, go on over there and check out what she's doing. Oh, before I forget, we haven't covered it today.
We'll do it tomorrow. I do have it on my my list for the show.
But >> [cough] [clears throat] >> there's a channel out there.
Uh what was her name? Wanita Adam Adam Adami or something.
Um she went is a is a what is she a a reporter over there?
She's a reporter from what I understand and she went back through the Tucson radio dispatch on Broadcastify.
And she got some clips and it it appears to be car-to-car communication with the officers in the Nancy Guthrie investigation. We have the audio.
We're going to go over it tomorrow. Um I don't know at what point they saw the blood on the front front porch but they knew about the blood on the front porch, right? Um this is interesting.
I'm studying independent journalism to apply to what There you go, Faye.
Very cool.
Yeah.
Who else went there? I don't know wasn't uh GG was going to, right? From Pretty Lies and Alibis. I don't know who all's going to be at the Crime Con.
Some people like the Crime Con, some don't. I just I'm curious about what kind of presentations they have like real crimes, right? And I want to hear about investigations and stuff that commercialism stuff I don't care about which I don't I'm not a commercialism kind of person anyway. Any Any time anything's over commercialized, I don't care for it. But it is what it is. But there's some of the things there would be um very interesting to sit in on, right? Some of the some of the conversations and talks.
He was up Did you see GG's room?
Oh my god. Pretty Lies and Alibis got an upgrade, She's turned on that southern charm and got her ass a whole upgrade and they gave her like a I don't even know a suite. She said she wasn't going to leave. I said I don't blame you. I wouldn't leave either. But y'all go check out Pretty Lies in Alibis. She's got a little video of where they gave her an upgrade room. Oh my god. It's a two-story room, okay? It's got a pool table in it. All the things. So, it's badass.
I think her parents are with her, aren't they, Fay?
All right, Rachel, whoever was talking about it. Yeah.
I think she took her parents with her.
So, that's exciting for her to get that that badass room, right? Cuz it was really nice. She's like, "I'm not leaving." I'm like, "I don't blame you.
I would stay."
I would stay.
Yeah, go, GG, go. She did. She got a nice room. I was happy for her.
Her and her parents.
I'm like, I should have just went with her, man. Should have just loaded up and went with GG. Damn.
I'd stay, too, girl.
All right, guys. Well, y'all go be safe on them YouTube streets. And thank you for all the well wishes for my son. I will pass it along and you guys um Yeah, y'all be safe tonight. And I'll see you here tomorrow at some point.
Y'all have a good one. Thank you.
