St. Tammany deputies arrest 2 people on cruelty charges

[00:00:00]St. Tammany Parish deputies arrested two people in Pearl River after finding two children and over a dozen animals living in deplorable conditions. The Sheriff's Office says they got a tip about illegal drug activity at a home on Highway 3081 on May 19th. That's where they found marijuana, nine dogs, five cats, and two children that appeared to be neglected.

[00:00:19]Deputies arrested 32-year-old Cassie King and 31-year-old Jean Luc Socea.

[00:00:23]They were booked on multiple charges including cruelty to juveniles and animal cruelty. The Department of Children and Family Services took in the children and the animals were taken by the St. Tammany Parish Animal Control.
