Former President Joe Biden sued the US Department of Justice to prevent the release of 70 audio recordings from his 2017 memoir interviews with ghostwriter Mark Zwonitzer, which were obtained during Special Counsel Robert Hur's investigation into classified document retention. The Heritage Foundation filed a Freedom of Information Act request seeking these recordings, which the Justice Department initially protected but later reversed. This case illustrates the tension between government transparency and individual privacy rights, particularly regarding personal conversations, and raises questions about how such disclosures might apply to future presidents.

Biden SUED The US Government To BLOCK His Ghostwriter Interviews! "What Is He So Desperate To Hide?"Added:
Hey, man.
I'm Joe Biden and I just [ __ ] my pants.
Joe Biden sues the US government. That's right. The former US president seeking to block the release of interviews with his ghostwriter.
Because God forbid we show that the US president was a senile old bat who didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
Hey, man. Where am I at, man? I'm Joe Biden and I'm getting lost. I'm Joe Biden and I'm on a crazy adventure. I'm Joe Biden and I don't even know who you are. Do you want to fight, man? Hey, man. Joe Biden is suing the US government. Hang on. It gets better.
>> Monica, can I just quickly ask you about President Biden suing the Justice Department? President Trump was asked what he thought of that. He's suing the Justice Department's over the release of audio from memoir interviews that he did with a ghostwriter. Can you explain?
>> Exactly.
>> Yeah, so this is in relation to a book that was out years ago that the Justice Department originally said those recordings could be kept from being made public and then there was a reversal on that after the Heritage Foundation, a conservative group, filed a Freedom of Information Request seeking to make those recordings, those conversations between the former president and his ghostwriter public. And so now the current Department of Justice under the Trump administration is saying that yes, those can be potentially made public.
And so essentially former President Biden and his attorneys are trying to counter that or trying to argue that that should not be the case. But if they are not successful, it is possible those recordings could be released to the public, Kate, by or around June 15th. So we'll see how that plays out over the coming weeks, but the president said that he would be supportive of those potentially coming out, but of course there's a question here of what that would mean for future presidents, which could of course include Donald Trump and how that would apply to him and any other potential future suits.
>> I I that President Trump said maybe there's some constitutional reason and he said I I'd like to see what President Biden has to say assuming he meant in the filing in court that it sounded like he hadn't read yet.
>> Mhm. All right, so there you are. There you are with the full-on action. So, what exactly is going on here? Well, Joe Biden is suing the US Department of Justice so that the interviews that he gave to his ghostwriter because you think these politicians are really going to write a book?
You really think they have the capacity to really be honest with you, the American people? No.
Okay, he's going to sue the US government and he's going to do whatever he can to be a thorn in the side to Donald Trump because he doesn't want these interviews to be released cuz pretty much I'm willing to bet they're going to be embarrassing.
It's going to show Joe Biden struggling to have a conversation or remembering certain key historical events in which he was playing a very significant role. Now, to the most die-hard latte-drinking liberals, I just want to remind you in case you forget, don't worry. My audience and the internet will remind you. #imissmyliberaltrolls My liberal trolls, where are you?
Please come back to me.
Papa loves you. It's okay to come home.
I won't drink anymore.
No beer cans will be thrown at you and my audience will not make fun of you half the time, okay?
But remember, Joe Biden was against busing and desegregation.
He is in quoted in saying a in an article that he didn't want his white kids to be with black kids.
What? He said it.
Hey, he he was a good friend to Republican segregationists.
Segregationists.
They didn't want to integrate. They want to keep things separate and supposedly equal. My ass.
Same Joe Biden who was against a right to choose. And guess you Hey, if you're Hey, hope you're sitting down for this one. Take a wild guess what happened under his administration. Listen, if you're a latte-drinking liberal, this this this might give you a heart attack and you'll go on a warpath to try and cancel me, but Roe v. Wade died not under Trump, but under Biden.
And I remember a lot of you latte-drinking whole fest protest protesters would always be saying, "If they were to have Roe v. Wade under Trump, we'd be protesting for days."
Do you see them? Hold on. Hey, clip this, guys. Hey, let's use the magic board. Clip.
Do you see them?
Huh, where they at?
Where are they?
They're supposed to be protesting for days.
Turns out they're not.
According to main reports, their records include that there's about 70. That's right, not 10, not 20, not 30, not 40, not 50, not 60, but 70 audio recordings and transcripts of conversations between Biden and his ghostwriter. Beep boop beep boop beep.
Mark Zwonitzer. That's how you say his name.
So, they were working on Biden's 2017 memoir, Memoirs of a Senile Old Goat.
The recordings were obtained by special counsel Robert Hur, and he was appointed to investigate whether Biden had unlawfully retained classified documents at his home after serving as vice president under Barack Obama.
So, remember that, okay? And in May, the Heritage Founda- Foundation, a conservative think tank, and I hate that name.
It's a think tank. Think tank.
Filed a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act seeking access to the files. Biden's lawyers argued that releasing them would violate his privacy.
Biden, Trump, listen.
None of you have the soul or spine to do this, but uh trial by combat, trial by seven.
Enough with the lawsuits. Everyone's suing everybody now.
Trial by combat, come on. Make things interesting.
We're not living in a society anymore.
It's It's It's time for trial by combat.
Every American, including a sitting or former vice president, has a right to privacy in the personal conversations he has within his own home, the uh the lawsuit said, according to the Washington Post.
In his final report released in 2024, Hur concluded that Biden had willfully retained and disclosed classified materials, including documents related to military policy in Afghanistan, but declined to recommend criminal charges.
Hur wrote that Biden's memoir appeared significantly limited during both the 2017 interviews with the ghostwriter and later interviews with the special counsel. He further argued that in if the case went to trial, Biden would like uh would likely present himself to a jury as a sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with poor memory.
Meaning he's like this. Hold on, you want to see acting?
I remember, man, when you would get in the trolley for a nickel and go both ways.
And you used to go to ice cream shop and say, "Hey, Jack, give me some ice cream."
And then there was Corn Pop, and he was a mean dude. Him and I would get in fights, but then we'd be cool and go to the pool.
This is the world we're in.
Joe Biden, lawsuits up the wazoo.
Joe Biden, seeing out old man. Now, what do you think he's hiding? Probably nothing much anymore. I mean, come on, at this point, what What What president has not committed any kind of crime?
What kind of president has not done anything wrong now at this point? I mean, if there was a president not committing a crime, you got to wonder, what's wrong with him?
But there it is, the Justice Department, Joe Biden.
Just when you thought it was out, the old man came back and this time he's suing.
Can we Can we stop beating around the bush, no pun intended?
The man The man has dementia. The man has some mental ailments, okay?
Look at how he was presenting himself during the 2024 election.
I mean, even Trump was feeling sorry for him. He was looking at the camera, probably thinking, "Hey, people of America, this is who they put up against me.
What does that say about what they think about you?"
The Democrats knew they were going to lose. And by the way, side note, little bit of a fun little fact here, at least allegedly, supposedly, the DNC's coming back here to Chicago.
Oh, well, at least I get to hang out with all my friends again.
That That That's That's the only upside.
I'll see you two dissidents, Jimmy, and everybody else.
Everybody will be here.
Memoirs of a Biden.
Memoirs of a Geisha.
Which by the way, that's a great movie.
All right. All right. We are moving
