Earth will become uninhabitable in approximately 500 million years, not when the Sun explodes, because the Sun will be 10% brighter in about 1 billion years, evaporating all oceans and raising surface temperatures above 70°C permanently; since complex life on Earth is only 600 million years old, this timeline means the clock for habitability has almost run out once already.

EARTH DIES SOONER THAN SCIENTISTS PREDICTED ! #shortsAjouté :
Most people think Earth ends when the Sun explodes. That's wrong. Earth becomes uninhabitable long before that.
In about 1 billion years, the Sun will be 10% brighter. That's enough to evaporate every ocean on Earth. No water, no atmosphere, no life. The surface temperature will exceed 70° C permanently. Nothing we know today survives that. The Sun gets slightly brighter every single year. Right now, today, scientists calculate we have approximately 500 million years of comfortable conditions left. After that, only extremophiles, organisms that live in boiling water and toxic environments, will survive.
500 million years sounds like forever.
But, complex life on Earth is only 600 million years old. The clock has almost run out once already. It's running again.
