Retatrutide’s clinical success is revolutionary, yet the industry's push for biologic classification risks turning a public health breakthrough into an inaccessible luxury. This legal maneuvering prioritizes patent longevity over the urgent need for affordable patient access.

WEEKLY GLP1 UPDATE: BIG NSV, Setting summer goals, and Retatrutide?!Added:
Good morning everybody. Welcome back to the channel for another video today. If you're new here, my name's Britney. I've lost 115 pounds on a GLP1 since November of 2022. And I've shared that whole journey here on YouTube from my very first injection all the way up till now.
And I created this space around relatability, encouragement, support, real life GLP-1 weight loss. So, if that interests you, would love to have you subscribe and stick around and come and join the free encouragement Facebook group which is always linked down below as well as where I get my compounded GP1s from which is currently join Bell.
I do have orderly down there as well. I totally believe in both of them. Um, but join Bell also offers some other peptides. Glutathione and curlin are the two that I am taking. And side note, um, can we see how like bright the skin looks this morning?
Nothing on it. nothing at all. That's the glutathione, my friends. So, if you're interested in that, Belle does offer like six-month plans for simaglutide and herzepatide, and you can get like a firm or clarinet or whatever.
And they still have BPI, which are one of the very, very few companies that still have access to BPI stock. So, if you're interested, check out the description. There is a code down there for 5% off as well. So, this video is the one that I do every single Monday where we just kind of shoot the [ __ ] right? So sometimes we walk, sometimes we don't. But today we're walking in the freezing cold weather in almost June in North Carolina. I literally have like Long John socks on because it's so cold.
But I'm over it. I need the weather man to change the weather and it for it to be summertime. But we're going to walk today and we're going to talk today. I want to talk to you guys a little bit about um a couple of GP1 things, but also about what the summer is going to look like over here on the channel. um because I am going to be changing it up a little bit for the summer so that I can enjoy more time with my children and with my family. Okay, the first thing that I wanted to talk about obviously was how my week went. So, um I've mentioned a couple of times that I'm not weighing myself right now. Um I do that every every now and then. I'm just like, you know what, I need a a scale break and so I take one. Um and so right now I'm trying not to weigh myself until at least June. it it by the time I get back from vacation it'll be like mid June and that is what I'm hoping for to not weigh until then it just helps my mental state when I give like the scale a break right right for a while and honestly that's a really big non-scale victory for me because I used to be somebody that weighed myself like several times a day like four or five times a day so for me to be able to go several weeks is actually a really big like non-scale victory pause the video right now and drop down below what your victory was this week. Something that we do every week. We can all cheer each other on.
Whether it be a scale victory, whether it be a non-scale victory, whether you had a loss this week, it's not a win, it's a loss. Whatever. We can talk about it and cheer each other on. But that was mine. I I really feel like that's a big non-skll victory of mine right now is that I'm not weighing myself because again, I was somebody that was addicted to the scale for a very, very long time.
So, as far as like what I weigh, I don't know because I'm not weighing myself.
However, I am really good at being able to like sense extra inflammation or whatever on my body if I've gained any weight and I feel the same right now. Now, I also told you guys last week that I had started serllin like I had completed my first full week of Surmelon and I that first week was a little bit iffy. You guys know I told you that it was like they tell you to take it right before bed and it was not doing well for me right before bed. it was giving me like a burst of energy and then I wasn't able to sleep or fall asleep. Once I fell asleep, I slept well, but falling asleep was really hard. So, I reached out to the doctors at Belle, which is one of my favorite things about them. You literally could just message them in the portal and they message you back quickly. But, um, he told me to move it a couple of hours. So, I started doing it at dinner time, like 5 as I'm cooking dinner, 5 5:30, 6:00, and that has made a significant difference. So, this past week, I feel like Sir Morland has changed my life. I am sleeping wonderfully. like when I fall asleep, it's the best sleep I've ever gotten in my entire life. Um, and I'm no longer struggling with with the um having trouble falling asleep. And for the first time in like probably 3 years, I've not had to take a melatonin to help me go to bed. So, I really consider that a win. Um, I can't decide if I like glutathione or cermelin better, but we're taking them both and I'm going to keep on taking them both. So, um I love that Belle has those offerings and that I've been able to try them cuz it's something that I've really been wanting to try for a very long time. They're not like 100% necessary. It's definitely like a uh more of not even vanity, but more of like an optional thing that if you want to spend your money on, you can spend your money on it. Um but I am very happy to be trying them out. So, that is kind of how my week went. I do have some goals for this week that are more specific just to like see here's the thing. It's summer now, right? And one thing that I really failed on last summer, I'm walking in the woods, so it's going to get darker. Um, one thing that I really like a failure of mine from last summer was that I did not exercise consistently and I definitely was not following like as good as of an eating protocol as I usually do during the school year. And I think a lot of that was just that the kids were home.
We were at the pool. They were grabbing like Little Caesars and taking it to the pool and I was eating pizza. So, I definitely failed last year. There's so many people here today. I definitely failed last year in that market. Like, I'm pretty sure I walked like maybe an average of twice a week all summer. So, my big big goal right now is to consistently keep up with my exercise over the summer and to be better most of the time, emphasis on most of the time at packing a healthier lunch for the pool. Y'all, I'm not perfect. I don't claim to be perfect. I don't want to be perfect. There are times when I want to eat a piece of Little Caesar's Pizza at the pool with all the kids, right? Um, so the goal is if we go to the pool, like we literally go every day, like five days a week. Three of those days I'm going to be good. Maybe a couple of the days I will eat a different snack or something. You know what I mean? I just want to be good most of the time, but I also want to enjoy life. So those are my like two main goals for the summer. Um, and then of course obviously I stay on top of hydration as well. The summer time is when I really focus on like electrolytes because being at the pool all day, yada yada yada. So, if you have summer goals, let me know what they are.
I know that I'm in a different position being in maintenance now um than a lot of you guys are because a lot of you guys are still in weight loss mode.
You're still trying to lose weight. Um so, I know that our goals are different and that's okay. We're we're all at different parts in the journey and we can all learn from each other. So, drop your summer goals in the comment section down below as well. Now, couple more things that I wanted to talk about. I wasn't going to make today's video too too long um just because we did a live on Saturday. If you didn't catch that, you can go back and watch it. and we did a lot of just like live chatting with each other this weekend. But um two more things that I wanted to touch on. Number one would be the summer upload schedule.
So I most likely am going to be I typically upload right now four times per week, Monday through Thursday. Um I am going to be like 100% saying that I'm going to upload at least three a week and then if there's more, whatever. There might be a few weeks where there's only two. like who knows? But I am going to take a little bit easier this summer since the kids are home and it's like incredibly difficult to film and plan anything with all of them there. So, at least three a week um starting this week. Some weeks there'll be four, some weeks there might be two. We are going to carry on with the lives once a week. Um unless I'm like on vacation or something. and we're going to keep it right now that Thursday night at 700 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, but um again, that could change depending on things. What I'm asking for, I guess, this year or this summer is just a little bit of flexibility, which you guys are usually great about anyway. Um I'm going to try and get as much as I can done, but I'm really realizing right now that like my oldest is 15. He's got his permit, and I'm like next summer he's not going to be hanging out with mom. he's not going to be I'm not going to be able to force him to go to the pool with me. Um now it's helpful that his best friend also is a member of that pool. So that helps me a lot. But like I'm just realizing that especially with him summers are numbered. So I'm going to take it a little bit easy this summer. Um and then I also wanted to put a call out for people who wanted to be interviewed on the channel. Um I have a couple that I need to share. Um but I would love to get going on recording some more. So, if you are somebody that's just on a journey, if you are somebody that is a medical professional in the space, a dietician, um a PA, a do whoever um and want to come on and talk and share some knowledge, I would love to have you. Um I do have some times this coming week that I would be able to meet up and film with some of you guys. So, if you are somebody that wants to do that, then shoot me an email. Uh my email is britzloifeifgmail.com.
It's always in the description box as well. um would love to have more people on sharing their stories. You guys seem to really like those as well. Um let's see. I don't think there's any other like administrative updates, but one thing I did want to talk about very quickly is like the topic of the day, I guess, is the phase 3 red tide results.
So, if you did not see um the end of last week, I believe it was Thursday, Eli Liy released the phase 3 red tide results, okay? And they were good. Like really good. Like the average weight lost after 80 weeks was 28% of their body weight. That's amazing, right? They say that that rivals weight loss surgery numbers, which is typically like in the 30% range. Now, the problem with this, they released his results. I think everybody was expecting them to be good results. The problem lies in that they also at the same time are currently in legal battle with the FDA over the classification of reach tide. So, um, Dave spoke on this a little bit and essentially what they're trying to do is I'm looking down cuz I'm going down a hill. I don't want to like fall. Um, essentially what they're trying to do is classify it as a biologic drug. And what that does is a couple things. So, it allows them exclusivity for much longer than traditional drugs. So, I believe traditional drugs are like 5 years after a patent and then biological drugs can be like 10 to 15. So, that makes it so nobody can make a generic for much longer. The second thing is 99% of insuranceances will not cover biologic drugs. Um, so that's when we already have so little companies covering insurance companies covering GLP1s and then you're going to slap on the classification of the new biggest and best one as biologic which no insurance is going to cover. It only drives more cash pay option towards Eli Liy which is so unfortunate because that's what they want, right? So, um, the only way like a lot of times now if you're on a biologic drug, you have to go through the pharmaceutical company and use like one of their coupons or one of their programs to get it. A lot of cancer drugs are biological drugs.
I just don't like there's a lot of Eli Liy fans and I just think that Eli Liy fans are people that do actually have insurance coverage. Like I don't think anybody that doesn't have insurance coverage actually supports them because how could they? how like everything that they do is against the people. And I know they got to make money. I know they have to have marketing strategies. Like I know all of that, right? I just And I'm not saying they shouldn't make money. I've said that a million times. I just think that they there are things that they're doing that deliberately goes against what they say their mission is. Why does reiter need to be a biologic drug? Right? I'm hoping they don't win that battle, but it's a battle that is currently ongoing. And again, we talked a couple weeks ago about how I feel and a lot of people feel that at this point they're not even trying to get insuranceances to cover them.
They're all moving towards because we're seeing, you know, like Lily Direct and the Nova Pay program, but also we're seeing that whole setup where um employers can opt into a cash sharing service for GLP1s. So all that does is again takes out the middleman of the insurance company and makes it so not only do you okay so not only do you as a employee have to pay your insurance premiums then you're going to pay your share of GP1 as well and not only does the employer have to pay their share of insurance premiums now they also are paying their share of GP1. So I just think it's like when will it end? When will like when will the greed end? So anyway, I wanted to bring that up cuz I want to know what y'all's thoughts are on that. I think the results are wonderful, but is anybody that actually needs them going to be able to get it unless they go like gray market like through the dang gym bros like we were talking about on the live the other day, you know? So anyway, that's my rambling for today. Um, I always enjoy these like walkietalkie videos because I literally just like say whatever pops into my mind at the time. They're my favorite videos to film because of that. I don't they're not scripted. They're not like I don't have my notebook sitting in front of me where I've written down everything that I'm going to say. I'm literally just speaking from my heart and from my brain. And so those are my favorite.
Like I feel like these are the videos where like you guys get to know me the best and like know my true thoughts and feelings because again none of it's scripted which most most of YouTube videos are scripted, right? So I love these ones the best. So if you do as well, let me know and I will continue doing them. They're also easier to film because I just go on my walk and talk, you know? So, let me know what you guys think as well. Thank you so much for watching. I do for sure have one interview that is coming this week um with Tiffany. I'm really excited for you guys to hear her story for JLP1's. Um and then we're going to do one other one for sure. And then, like I said, if you're interested in doing some filming for an interview this week, please reach out to me via email and I will get back to you. Um and I hope that all the giveaway winners received their products. I shipped everything out, so hopefully everybody has either gotten their stuff or is going to shortly. I do want to say I said I was done, but I do want to say that the um protein bar people, there was six boxes total, three Built Bars, three Bear Bell boxes. Um for some reason, they all say end of next week before delivery, and I don't know why that is, but both brands say that. So, just know if you are one of those six people, they are coming.
They have been ordered. They'll be there soon. So, thank you guys so much for watching today's video. I hope that you enjoyed it. I'm out of breath. If you did, please don't forget to give it a thumbs up and I will see you guys in the next video. Have a great day. Bye.
