To get better results from Claude Code, use a structured prompt format with five key components in order: (1) Goal - state clearly what you want to build or fix in one sentence, (2) Context - explain who the project is for, what files exist, and what already works, (3) Files - specify relevant files, (4) Constraints - set boundaries like keeping it simple, avoiding new libraries, and not changing unrelated files, and (5) Ask Questions First - instruct Claude to clarify anything unclear before proceeding. This structured approach prevents vague questions and ensures Claude provides more accurate, useful code solutions.

Use This Prompt Format For Better Claude Code Results #claude #claudecode追加:
This one prompt format will make Claude code much more useful. It stops you from asking vague questions and hoping for the best. Start with the goal, one sentence. What are you trying to build or fix? If Claude cannot understand the goal, everything after that gets weaker.
Then, add context. Tell it who the project is for, what the current files are, and what already works, so it does not guess from nothing. Next, add constraints. Say, keep it simple, do not add new library, do not change unrelated files, and explain [music] before making big changes. Finish by telling Claude to ask questions first [music] if anything is unclear. That one line saves you from a lot of confident but wrong work. Use this order: goal, context, files, constraints, then [music] ask questions first. Link in bio for the free Claude code cheat sheet. In episode 38, I will show you how to fix errors with Claude code without panicking.
