[00:00:06]The Tokamak hard fork is just one step away from being activated. And this is not coming from me. This is coming from the Casper core development team. We're going to start with this post from Michael Sutton that was posted 4 days ago that states, "Casper Tokamak mainnet process update. Today, we plan to publish the version 1.3.0 mainnet pre-release without activation for one or two days of broad network sanity testing. Assuming everything looks good, the following release will be version 2.0.0 with activation planned for June 30th, 4 weeks from today." Now, this is 4 days ago.

[00:00:49]But, today we received another good announcement from Code of Stuff who is also part of the Casper core development team.

[00:00:58]This announcement says, "Our Tokamak release is finally out.

[00:01:03]The hard fork will activate on mainnet on June 30th, 2026 at roughly 16:15 UTC. 24 hours before the activation, updated nodes will disconnect non-updated nodes. Please make sure your node is updated before then." We have these links that were shared and he continues to say that our pools, exchanges, and everyone else that needs to update, please make sure you check out the release.

[00:01:33]We need to make sure all ecosystem participants are aware and upgrade in time if they want to adopt the fork.

[00:01:40]So, this is a very interesting update because we understand that most of the projects that want to build on Casper, most of them have been on standby just waiting for the Tokamak hard fork. We have big projects like the Casper key that that openly stated that they're waiting for the Tokamak hard fork and then they're going to deploy their projects.

[00:02:03]We also have new builders that are going to be attracted to Casper because Casper is going to have programmability. Now, just remind most of the people, this does not mean that Tokamak has been activated on mainnet.

[00:02:16]According to this announcement, you have to pay attention. The hard fork will activate on mainnet on June 30th of 2026. What people need to do right now, and this includes the pools, exchanges, and everyone else that need to update, please make sure that you check out the release. We need to make sure that all ecosystem participants are aware and upgrade in time if they want to adopt the fork.

[00:02:43]Now, this announcement again from Ori Newman. Now, these are three announcements, all coming from the Casper Core Dev team.

[00:02:51]This announcement says, "Official Tokamak release, mainnet hard fork activation included. We are excited to announce the official Casper release containing the Tokamak hard fork activation logic. Tokamak is scheduled to activate on mainnet at DAA score 474165565, expected around June 30th, 2026, 16:15 UTC.

[00:03:17]This is a consensus changing upgrade.

[00:03:20]All node operators, miners, pools, exchanges, indexers, and infrastructure providers must upgrade before activation to remain compatible with the network.

[00:03:31]This is the same thing that Core Dev stuff said. People right now need to upgrade their nodes in order to be compatible with this new Tokamak release.

[00:03:43]It continues to say that at the Tokamak introduces a major expansion for Casper layer one capabilities including first of all, you have the native layer one covenant support, the new transaction introspection, allowing [clears throat] for more expressive contracts, including stateful contracts.

[00:03:59]You also have covenant IDs, which provide stable covenant lineage across UTXO transitions.

[00:04:06]So, covenant instances can preserve continuity as their state moves from one UTXO to the next.

[00:04:13]You also have ZK proof verification on layer one via op ZK precompile enabling to trustlessly offload computation off-chain.

[00:04:22]Another thing, the fourth aspect, is partitioned sequencing commitments, which improves support for based zero knowledge applications by making lane local proving scale with relevant activity rather than global throughput.

[00:04:38]Please upgrade as soon as possible and verify your nodes are running the new release well before the activation DAA score.

[00:05:05]The date has been set. What is remaining right now, what most people should do is just upgrade their nodes in order to be compatible with this new Tokamak release.

[00:05:18]Another announcement from Kaspa says, "Uh the Tokamak hard fork is now live.

[00:05:22]Update your nodes well before June 30th so that you can remain in consensus."

[00:05:28]If you go and look at this announcement, it says, "A mainnet Tokamak release version 2.0.0."

[00:05:34]It was released at the time of recording, it's 9 hours and it was released by someone 235.

[00:05:41]This announcement says, "This release introduces the Tokamak hard fork, marking a major milestone described in KEP 16, 17, 20, and KEP 21, bringing native layer one governance programming and infrastructure for based zero-knowledge applications to Kaspa.

[00:06:00]The hardfork is scheduled to activate on mainnet at DAG 474165565, roughly on June 30th, 2026, at 16:15 UTC.

[00:06:14]Starting 24 hours before nodes will connect only to peers using the new peer-to-peer protocol version 10. Ensure your node is updated to maintain network connectivity.

[00:06:28]Node upgrade guide, ensure your node is updated to stay compatible with the Tokamak hardfork. For detailed instructions on upgrading and configuring your node, refer to the Tokamak guide that has been released.

[00:06:39]So, as you can see, the Tokamak hardfork activation on mainnet is just one step away.

[00:06:48]But, as you can see, if these hardforks are well planned and if you give enough time for people to upgrade their nodes and everyone to remain in consensus, hardforks are not really that bad and for a network like Kaspa, which is still building, which is still young, I think that is the best way to go.

[00:07:05]Now, just remind most of the people, this is happening in the middle of the bear market. Now, if you want to know exactly which project is worth holding, you have to look at what the project does when the market is bleeding. If the devs are complaining about the price or if the devs are quitting and looking for other opportunities, you have to be concerned.

[00:07:28]But, when it comes to Kaspa, you can see the amount of work that is being done by the Kaspa core dev team and I think they deserve a lot of praise for the amount of work, the amount of energy, the amount of time that they've put in this Kaspa upgrade. Now, I find this post from Joey Wong very, very interesting.

[00:07:49]As you can see, you have this picture right here where you have real estate, you have gold, you have the S&P 500, you have silver. Everything is already set.

[00:07:59]Everything is already moving.

[00:08:01]But, Kaspa is minus 55%. I believe Kaspa is way more down than 55%.

[00:08:08]But, the meaning of this picture is that when everybody else is looking for the shiny object, Kaspa is quietly building.

[00:08:16]When the spring gets released, you're going to see Kaspa flying than most of these assets. You have silver, you have the S&P, you have gold. Gold had its rally back in 2025. The S&P 500 is having its best time right now.

[00:08:32]Silver had its own time. Kaspa, on the other side, and most of other cryptocurrencies are down very, very bad.

[00:08:40]But, instead of complaining, instead of crying, the devs are doing the work. And as you can see, we are approaching a very big milestone for Kaspa.

[00:08:50]Now, you also have to remember that during bear markets, when everything is down, the prices are down, most of the crypto platforms or crypto projects run out of business. Most of them shut down.
