Carnegie’s philanthropic legacy is permanently stained by his role in funding the dehumanizing pseudoscience of eugenics. This video serves as a vital reminder that massive wealth often finances both public enlightenment and systemic social harm.

Carnegie was bad追加:
Yeah. I talked to an administrator. She says like we keep it very hidden. We still adopt the idea that murder is wrong because man's made in the image of God. I don't know if it's like actually wrong. But like I wouldn't want to live in a world where people murder constantly just because it makes everything worse. Like at least highlight it makes everyone like But you can imagine a world by thought experiment where say a particular group of people is murdered for the benefit of society.
People have suggested this before.
Like ethnic cleansing.
It's been tried over and over and over again. So I I look at Pol Pot and I'm like well, what you did was wrong.
Even if Pol Pot, you know, thinks no, what I did was right. It was for the good of our I look at Andrew Carnegie and I think what he was doing was wrong.
You guys Y'all ever struggle with that?
A little bit. The the eugenics history of the school?
I mean I feel like I mean look at it I feel like everything we were like doing is kind of built on like kind of destroyed history. Like if you look at the field of statistics the people were like um I think wait anything we like learned in like G stats like it's all based on like the work of eugenics.
>> eugenics. It's certain like Yeah, it's Malthusian.
Right?
>> But it's like I don't know. I mean but we still like use them. They're still useful.
>> I was just wondering if like 5 10 years ago back in that period where like statues were being torn down and people were throwing fits about everything any dead historical figure that we didn't like you had to spray paint their statue, tear it down, and replace it with like a I don't know Dragon Ball Z or something like whatever they were doing.
I was like man, what I was like I wonder given that like Carnegie was you know, doing like a eugenics records office trying to make sure that the undesirables didn't continue to uh you know, populate and so he was like playing around with ideas about good breeding and bad breeding and supporting things like forced sterilization for like human weeds.
But then World War II happened, and we liberated the death camps, and we're like, "Oh, snap. We better stop doing that." That's when they shut it down. I mean, yeah. Yeah.
Cuz it seems like people always want to hold people responsible for like what their uh ancestors did. I don't know if I said anything like that.
>> No, uh you didn't. You didn't. Just I I just wondering if that was like a Like did the student body have like rallies where they were like change the name of the school or anything like that?
>> I honestly don't know what it was like even 10 years ago.
We think it's like
