Stock RV suspension systems often use helper springs and double-stacked blocks that stiffen the suspension, preventing proper shock absorption and resulting in harsh, uncomfortable rides; upgrading to proper leaf springs with appropriate shock absorbers allows the suspension to articulate freely, absorbing road impacts effectively and providing a smoother, quieter ride experience.

PROGRESSIVE LEAF SPRINGS INSTALLED ON THE BRAND NEW RVAdded:
What's up everybody? It's another fun exciting week here at WellTech Designs.
We got all kinds of cool stuff. And look it, we even have the Giant here. What are we talking about? So, we are doing some cool things with Giant RV. Like this Coachman Crossrail. This thing is rad. Look at this Weltech Designs front bumper. Looking ultra slick on this thing. And you could see that it's missing a step. We're going to put some steps on this. This is the 22XG. I really like this model. I think there's so many things that are cool about it, including this giant back door that's on the back of this thing. And as you open this up, what's rad is that Murphy bed folds up. You could really put a motorcycle, bikes, gear, all kinds of cool stuff in the back of it. And uh what it is missing though is a spare tire. We're going to do a full rear bumper on the back of this. And now what's really cool about this is this coach is for sale at Giant RV. So, if you're looking to buy a coach, um, and one thing else, look at that. Boom.
Quickly 4x4. It already has the Quigley 4x4 setup on it. So, if you're looking for this model and you're like, "Hey, I want it, but I want it in four-wheel drive." Boom. There it is with the Quigley stuff and of course in combination with Welltech Design. So many other cool things going to happen to this coach available for you at Giant RV. Tell them, "Hey, Weltech Designs, I saw this on the video. I want one of the motor homes that's done with all the gear, four-wheel drive. Hit them up. You know, this thing's going to be rad. I'm going to definitely be doing a lot more updates as we build this thing and do all the other stuff. Look at this. This is the Integra Accolade XT. I'm going to say I absolutely love, love, love the rear cap of this. This rear cap, the lines of this are just sexy as can be. I mean, the window h could have done something cooler, but let's just stick to the cap. I definitely love this. I love how they've even added the recessed lighting in there. It's just I mean, that thing is just sick. This thing is so cool looking um down the whole side of it, your TV. So, this is a 35L. We're going to be doing some killer stuff to this as we are building out another killer F600. Now, I would love to show you my JCO that was sitting right here, but I can't because today I had to actually drop it off at Cummings to figure out what the heck is going on with my generator because if my generator does start, which half the time it does not, um, it maybe runs for an hour, a half an hour. My wife even started calling it Gina the Generator.
Two killer four-wheel drive motor homes.
So, that's what's cool is we have the little brother and the big brother. I mean, when you look at both of these from the front, I mean, they're both pretty damn impressive. And now, if you didn't want to spend the money on a four-wheel drive option like this one, you know, of course, you could do a WellTech Designs 4 or 6in kit and still run the same size tire on there, just depending on what you need. Lots of options, really trying to give you everything. But these are two killer looking coaches. I mean, when you see them side by side, it's it's pretty damn impressive. Now, the Integra Accolade.
This is going to come with a 2-in kit on it. On this, this is very much like the GSSE. Comes with a front bumper. This one has the little bullbar on it. Um, pretty much the same style wheel except this is a 24570195, which comes on all the F600s. And then you're going to see the same sort of things, that heavy duty sway bar, the fool's gold shocks, and of course the longer radius arm. It's also has the same road armor step. in the rear. And it does. Check this out. He actually did his own fender flares on there. Looks pretty sweet. I'm definitely It looks good. I mean, I I like what he did here.
It's going to have the Coney shocks on the rear. We're going big. That is just hideous. We're going to have to fix that as well, dude. Just sexy. So, this comes with a 2-in kit on it. And of course, we're going way bigger. We're putting the Recon XL kit on it, making this thing big, giant. I mean, because why not? Because you can. in because these things ride like complete ass. If you have one of these coaches and you tell me like, "Oh, Jeremy, my coach rides amazing." I'm willing to put money on it that it does not. I would love to meet you. I would love for you to drive one of our coaches because I think you will be blown away at the difference in the way that they ride. And if you have one of our suspension kits on your F550, F600, please comment below because of course people want to hear it from other people other than me. Just want to show you what's going on. Here's another thing that I completely hate is they lifted the coach and then dropped the jacks down. Oh yeah. I just went camping with my motor home. I got home and went to go dump my tanks. And this is my gray water tank because even on mine, the black the black and the gray are not in the same spot. My gray isn't even in the same spot. Somehow that broke off and is missing. So I have I can't even dump my tanks right now. I have to do plumbing.
And I don't know if it just sits so low that I mean it's not that low. I mean it's a good 12 in off the ground.
But mine is gone. This one's pretty loose, too. Let's go. Let's do some investigating here.
I'm like, why is that so loose as well?
You can see it's actually broken away all the foam, but then that thing is just, you know, you get under these things and you start looking. So, there it is. There is the fool's gold shocks, our double stack blocks. We're getting rid of all of that. Um, our heavy duty sway bar in the back of this. So, all of this stuff is going to be coming out here tomorrow. I got to crawl back out from underneath this thing. A lot of cool stuff going on here at Welltech Designs. I'll keep you guys updated.
We're going to be doing some cool stuff to the little baby Class C from Giant.
And uh we're going to be doing some even cooler stuff to this Integra. You better come back, hang out with me. Well, I'm back at it. I'm behind the wheel and I'm excited about this because this RV has our leaf springs on it. And why I'm paying so much attention is look at the craziness that is going on. Really, let's talk about what I'm doing right now. And that's going on a test drive.
We always talk about the driveway coming in and out of the shop, how you better go slow. But what's really cool about this is we have ton of clearance. And then oh my gosh, I the smile on my face.
Like I can't even tell you. I'm going to have Carl. Carl's the owner of this motor home. And uh Carl got to go for a drive with me. He was blown away about how it rides and the difference. I also got MV in the back of this because MV went with me on the maiden voyage going out. Look at this. Look at this. Just going around this corner like butter. Look at how Gosh, I just love this. If your motor home, like I know your motor home doesn't drive like this. If you have one of these motor homes and have not called us, what are you waiting for? Like, don't you want your motor home to drive amazing?
So, anyways, Envy, I'm going to hand this over to him because he was in the back of it. Envy, where you at? I can't even see you. All right, so he was in the back of the motor home and take it away. You could you could tell the story.
>> Yeah, that's right, guys. You heard me correct. I was in the back of the Integra Esteem XL 32U Golden State Edition. the big gray one, the one you've seen in all the recent videos, all the way from Lakeside over here near the shop in Elon, California, all the way to Phoenix, Arizona. And let me tell you, sitting in the back, exactly where I'm right now in that RV, the ride was just extremely harsh, extremely bad. The door was shaking the entire time because it did not close properly. And the whole experience was just very uncomfortable.
No matter where you were in the coach, even up here, even in the very back, it didn't matter where you were. that ride.
Even in the front seat, the ride was terrible. Just telling you straight up, the ride was terrible. So now, for the first time sitting back here with the Recon XL kit on the freeway to see what the difference is. And just coming out of the culde-sac, guys, I could already feel the difference. So, come along with us. We're going to see how this thing feels and have a little bit of fun. All right. Shall we?
>> Shall we, Jeremy?
>> I'm all about it. I love driving motor homes. And we're still a 21,000lb vehicle going down the road. However, it just I mean like just going around a corner like this. I mean, that's so nice.
And then this little chatter right here is going to be another good one right here. Boom.
Oh, dude. That's Yeah, that and the and the the Integra, the brand new 2026 Integra. It's like like no exa no exaggeration, guys. So, to give you guys a recap, bringing up the speed where we're at. Jeremy had the brand new 2026 Integra Golden State Edition in the shop. That thing had a lot of things wrong with it. Partially due to the stock suspension setup and that drive to Arizona. Just things banging falling apart, stuff falling back in the trailer. What you have done, Jeremy, is taken off the stock steering stabilizer, put on a Fox steering stabilizer, a single one. Didn't see that much of a difference. Next thing was we took off the Hellwick Helper springs. just running the stock leaf springs in the back with the stock blocks in the back which to your discovery >> big difference in how that road I feel like the ride softened up. I started actually feeling me getting more into the shocks. That's where you know the conies are known for heavy rebound. I feel like I was getting a little bit too much rebound. Way better ride though coming home. To put this into a simple terms for you guys, when you have those Hellwick helper springs on the leaf springs in the back, it stiffens up the suspension so much that the suspension doesn't articulate enough to let the shocks actually do the shock absorbing job in controlling the coach.
>> No, 100%. I mean, it's really made to stiffen it up. And that's one of the big differences between a 550 and a 600 is a 550 is going to come with a single overload spring and a 600 is a double overload spring. So, what I really feel like the manufacturer was trying to do is compensate for it being a 550 by adding the hell wigs on it, saying that, oh, it's comparable to a 600 because you're not allowed to get you can't get a 600 anymore in California. So, that being said, this is kind of their answer to it. However, we know what their answer should be. So, we've arrived at the airport. We're going to film a video. What's up, everybody? It's Jeremy from, you know, where Designs. This is our tube winch bumper. Lots of different options kind of that we're giving you.
Another really nice feature about these shocks is they are 100% rebuildable. You can see the giant springs in there. No more secondary overload spring. All the weight carrying capacity is in the main springs. This is our new leveling jack brace system. And we do it in two different ways. All of this is going to bolt on using/in hardware. 2x two square tubing going across. Well, Jeremy, I think the next step is honestly to get a decibel meter because it's like 10 times quieter in here than it was in your brand new motor home. And how old is this motor home?
>> It's a 2020 one or two.
>> Okay, so this is a 2021 or 2022 motor home. Jeremy's is a 2026. 10 times louder with the stock suspension on a brand new motor home. And guys, I I'm just going to speak the truth. You have no reason to lie. You still feel the bumps, okay? It doesn't matter what vehicle you're in, you're going to feel the bumps. Even if you're in a Rolls-Royce, and I can say this cuz I've been in a Rolls-Royce multiple times over all kinds of terrain in Southern California, guys.
You feel the bumps, but it's smooth over those bumps. It feels controlled and it doesn't feel like your teeth are going to be shattered outside of your mouth.
And that's really my honest opinion. And I really don't like riding in the back of these that much, especially when Jeremy's test driving something going around corners at what was >> 65 mph around that. so much more comfortable. I just very clearly remember huge bang bang bang out the back of the RV. I'm looking at the highway in Arizona and it looks smooth.
It doesn't even look like a messed up highway. That's the real naked truth of it. Here's Jeremy. He's going to talk to you about how the driving feels. All right, guys. So, right now we're doing 65 on the freeway. You know, track super straight onehanded like I do it cuz I got to be able to talk to you. But really, it's just the overall like there says freeway overpass right there. Boom.
Transfer. Transfer again. Transfer again. Like just so nice and very off camber. And I just like like >> butter. [laughter] >> I can't believe it's not butter.
>> Like it's it really is ridiculous. Now it's not only how it transitions, how the suspension works to it. The other big part of this is the recovery or return to center. There was no wallowing back and forth. It it goes through the transition and comes right back into normal driving mode. So that that way you are comfortable behind the wheel and that you don't feel like yes, there's a drawer open in the back. The next thing really is, and we've seen the comments, we're going to take a decibel meter or do some kind of app on the phone or something and monitor the noise level on the highway at a certain speed on a stock F550, F600 RV and then do the sound after because Jeremy, like honestly, it's like 10 times quieter.
And this is not a brand new coach like yours was.
>> No.
>> And I'm coming from the passenger standpoint, right? Number two, passenger standpoint. If you're back there in the brand new coach, okay, think about it.
How many hours to Arizona was it?
>> 6 plus hours.
>> 6 plus hours to Arizona. So that's a lot of highway driving. When you're back there, you feel any kind of movement in the steering 10 times more, right? It's almost kind of like that fishtail effect or how would you call that? That sympathetic like you feel the following.
>> So anytime that Jeremy makes any kind of correction the steering, which on all these stock RVs, especially the E- Series RVs, right? But these ones are not exempt from it. you're constantly white knuckling correcting the steering just to maintain straight between the lanes. In this, I did not feel that at all. It just felt like we're going straight down the highway, which for me as someone that's very carick prone, honestly, when I'm not driving, makes the world of difference. So, keeping that in mind. And then a little update, I talk about it in another vlog video. I did the single steering stabilizer on mine. I didn't feel like it was enough.
I'm also going to add the double on it.
I like that the way that this double steering stabilizer feels on there as well. So, just a little update to that.
I'm gonna be doing some more things. So, I was really, you know, trying to like baby step it, but you start really driving these coaches stock and realizing just, you know, I mean, I hate to say it, but it is what it is. I have this beautiful motor home behind me. However, what is not beautiful about it is the ride. We are going to put rear leaf springs in this motor home. Now, why I'm also excited about doing that, we know that the Golden State Edition motor homes has two sets of blocks double stacked on there. Don't love that at all. If you didn't know, all of these motor homes have a block in them from the factory.
I'm not going to change the shocks at this point. The biggest thing I'm going for right now is ride quality. I'm taking this thing. We're going to measure it. Let's go.
I have the tires off the ground in the rear. We're going to go ahead and pull the tires so that that way you can see what the stock spring setup is going on in there. I'm also going to take you over and show you the rear spring. Giant arch in that spring. This is the new spring pack that is going in this. This is a 12K 4 spring. So that's why I was telling you the combination of the two blocks. We should be sitting around the same height just achieving a better ride. You can see how much arch is in the new spring versus how much is in the old spring. So this is an F600 spring and you can see that you know that because this has the two Atalie or overload springs on there. That's all going to come out. So, here is your first look at what this looks like with no wheels on it. So, you can see as we come in here, it's going to have the heavyduty sway bar in there, the fool's gold shock. Here's what we're talking about. So, the two blocks, I'm actually going to go grab a tape measure. We We'll measure these when we pull them out. So, we'll be able to eliminate all of this block setup here and just have all the arch of the spring. This is definitely exciting. Going to get rid of these. Here is what we have. We have our F600 springs all installed. No more blocks. You can see the blocks. Wh they go? They were just sitting here. Look at that. Look at all that droop. I mean, that's crazy how far this will just droop out there. Here's a look at the block. So, this is the block that you're going to find in all of them. That is a 2-in block. And then this is the second 2in block that they add to them. So you can see normally it's that one's on the bottom top. Flip it around. Normally it's like that. But that is the 4in blocks. There's a pair of them that are typically double stacked in the back of this. Getting this finished up.
Obviously see how it rides as well as if we gain additional height out of the back of it as well. So all kinds of cool stuff going on. All right. Well, here it is all done, right? I mean, doesn't even look like it's any different. However, I'm going to guess we're about an inch and a half higher in the rear now than we used to be. Going out our driveway is normally pretty bad. This is the first one that I'm excited to see.
So, it's definitely better. It's harsh, but I can that shock. I'm not going to lie. Like, I wish I don't know.
The the shocks just aren't doing it.
Anyways, let's drive and see how the spring overall feels.
Okay, so right there, that is where you notice it on those like sharp driveway entrances. Even that alone, I can tell the difference because that used to be a very sharp like edged feeling.
The spring definitely feels better. I'm still getting that rocking as when I go to do like a sharp left and right.
Like you can still feel the rear floating. It doesn't feel completely solid and planted. That's in the shock.
We're We have the height that we want and now we're just trying to get the ride. Drum roll.
Yeah, we're uh 38 and 5/8. I said an inch to an inch and a half. I was an eighth of an inch off.
One of the reasons that we could be slightly higher on this side is because the other side as we go back around, you have to remember we have definitely have more weight. And what are we at? 38 and 3/8 and 40. Man, that's like 2 in difference. Maybe move this around, get it to a slightly different spot, do another measurement, and uh you can actually see I'm going to turn it the other way. I have another line marker here where I'm going to put the front tire and uh see if that changes anything.
Put it on my other marker going across the street. So you can see I just kind of like to be able to measure things in relatively the same spot. You can see that I have the markers here from measuring other coaches. But let's see now 38. We're not changing anything.
It's like 38 and 3/4 still. We're like 39 and 3/4. So that makes a lot more sense. We're still over an inch man. An inch and 3/4, inch and 38 difference from side to side. 38 and 3/4. We're one inch difference from side to side. That is also interesting. Oh, but we were an inch difference just from the factory side to side as well. We stayed consistent from the two blocks to the two deals. It's still not necessarily granite. It's 1 in in a giant motor home. This has the two slides on it. But these are the little things that I still like to know because if it's just a weight thing, we would have the ability to possibly do a driver side spring for this coach to make it a little bit better to even it out. Now, typically on something like this, if we were to see this side being an inch lower on the passenger side, it should be an inch higher if it's really like setting the weight. So like when we come up here 42 and 5/8 an eighth of an inch. Yeah. I mean I'm an eighth difference here. So I'm just going to take that to being the differences in the road. And you can see why I like to put the markers on the ground to do the measurements. This badass awesome in America.
