Dragon Soul in 2026… What’s Next?Added:
We are literally approaching 6 months into the year. We're in May. And this year, Dragon Soul 2026, believe it or not, there has been a lot that has happened. Even though most of us find ourselves in the same position as last year, and even the year before that. And that's actually kind of sad, really sad.
But I actually wanted to go over how this year has been so far for Dragon [music] Soul. But without further ado, this might be a very long video. So, make sure you subscribe, hit the like button, and let's get straight into it.
We could start this video off in January, but it makes more sense to start in December. December was definitely peak Dragon Soul for a lot of people. And the devs made it seem that January would be the same. We were promised the God rework, the Zamasu pre-sale, and fusion. And we were also told that story and soul evolutions were still in the work. And obviously, in the present, we still don't have fusion. We were supposed to get fusion yesterday, and that's still not here. But to be fair, we did get the God rework and the Zamasu pre-sale in the same month. But there was no fusion or soul evolutions 6 months after. So, what did we get for January? Actually, nothing. Other than me almost getting banned. Unless you want to count the part two or three of the winter event. We actually had no updates until the very beginning of February, where we finally got the corrupted time rift. Of course, with the Zamasu boss and the new tier of Super Saiyan rage. And honestly, other than the boss being ridiculously hard to kill with any more than three people, the update was kind of good. Till this day, it's probably the best work they've done on a time rift, in my opinion. And it actually gave end game players something to do. You had to get the key crystal, which was a 10% drop, I believe. So, it wasn't actually that bad. Then you just had to grind a thousand raid crystals.
Which, if you was there doing it at the time, was was not that bad. There was a two times raid crystal week and the Infinity raid bug, which gave you infinite raid crystals. Also, in February, we got the two new event Infinity raids, Carnival Raid, and the Valentine's Raid. Both still in the game till this day, which is a common occurrence for Dragon Soul, which really doesn't make sense why the Easter event was so short, but we'll get to that later on. To be honest, there's not really much to say about the events. The events were nice and released some very interesting cosmetics. At the very end of February, they decided to release the Zamasu soul. How do I tell you guys when this soul released, it was overly overpowered. It still is till this day.
I would probably say the Zamasu or the Immortal soul is the strongest soul in the game right now. Definitely a fun update. This was also around the time where I had 200k GP and got like three special edition Zamasus and gave them all away. I really wish I kept at least one of those. That was actually quite a lot for one month, but the same can't be said about March. We only had the rogue-like update with the Infinity Raids, where you get a selection of cards every three waves. Would you even call this an update? Isn't it more of like a QoL to help players actually beat the raid? But regardless, it was a good update nonetheless, but that's actually all we got for March. The rest of the weeks were just two times weeks and three times tail. Now, swiftly moving into April, they actually missed April Fools, so they had released a code on April 2nd April Fools that I shamefully fell for. The code never actually worked. They they lied. It was the it was a late April Fools joke. And then we had the Easter event. Where do I even start? The event wasn't that at the start. It was a new concept. You could tell the devs were getting creative with their ideas, but it just got so boring too quick. After a couple hours into the update, I was pretty much done getting the same drops over and over again and doing the same old boring grind. Now, the clothes, accessories, and auras that came out of this event were fire, but I just wanted to rip my hair out participating in this event. And not even 2 weeks after the Easter event started, they took it out completely.
Well, not completely. I think they brought it back for a weekend and then took it out completely. Without the Easter event actually being done, we're still yet to see the the Troll Aura.
There was going to be another boss with the Egg Rapper. We never saw that.
Instead of that, they integrated it in with the Boo Raid. There was no real explanation as to why they did this and I know a lot of the community wanted to spend their currency that they worked for to actually get some of the accessories because you was holding on to them. There was no warning the Easter event was going to be taken out. It It just happened. But, what the Easter event did get replaced by was the new stat rework. For the most part, the update was positive. We got a new UI and most importantly, our power levels increased like crazy. Before the update, I was sitting at around 2 million power level and then after the update, I was around 5 million power level. So, increasing power levels always a good thing, right? But, there was just a couple things in this update that left a sour taste in my mouth. Most notably, the issues with Key Max, the max health, and just the point distribution. When you put your points into stats, it always feels like it just doesn't do anything. So, the main way to actually increase your power level further is level breaking. And also, this update came with a bunch of nerfs to different fragments. So, now trying to actually change your build and make it better is a whole mess that you have to navigate.
And you're better off just leaving it as it is until they actually fix things. I don't want to get into the real specifics of the situation. If you want to go If you want to go ahead and look into it deeper, you can look at some of the videos in the top right. And in regards to Key Max, they seem to be fixing this issue by adding two brand new utility stats, Key Efficiency and Key Sustain. This is all new stuff and we'll look at it more closely when it's actually released. Now, something more recent, the Boo Raid. And again, for the most part, the Boo Raid is positive. I would say the only bad thing is waiting for the ally to die, which does take years. They need to change the system.
Now, moving into the present date, we have mentors and sneaks for fusion. That is everything we have so far for Dragon Soul in 2026. Let me know how you guys feel about everything that we've been through over the 5 months, but let's talk about what Dragon Soul's going to be looking like in the future, in the next half of the year. And I know, I know what a lot of you guys are going to say, "Chapter 2 is never coming out."
And I've even seen people go as far as say that Dragon Soul is a cash grab, and Chapter 2 doesn't really exist, which I think is a ridiculous take. And I genuinely think Chapter 2 will come out this year. But we can forget about Chapter 2 for now and focus on more tangible things that we are getting in the nearer future. Back in December of last year, many of you would remember the dev Q&A that was hosted in the Discord server. This is one of the rare moments when we actually have streamlined communication between the devs and the actual community. When I tell you there was a lot, and I mean a lot of information to be covered in that Q&A, believe me, there was. And luckily enough, I had recorded the whole thing.
So, I'm going to share bits and pieces of the Q&A on some pretty interesting topics. For starters, here's what was said about the full power Super Saiyan form. All right, what happened to the full power Super Saiyan form? News for it just stopped at one point, and everyone forgot about it.
>> No, full full power Super Saiyan form, it's going to uh come back. We're just going to do um some more extra forms, and then we're going to do full power Super Saiyan form. Is that going to be an extra form?
It will be an extra form, I think, most likely. And it will be the strongest one.
>> Oh, okay, okay. There you go. The full power Super Saiyan form is going to be an extra form, and it's going to be the strongest. When is it going to come out?
Probably during Chapter 2. But there was a lot of mention to do with new game mechanics coming into Dragon Soul.
Here's what was said about fishing.
>> And that's fishing. Yeah, I think we we we we we literally had a fishing game game prepared in the background, but we never released it. Um Fishing is coming.
I we actually have some form of fishing already. Fishing is going to come.
Chapter two latest is is when it's coming. Again, chapter two. It seems like anything good that the players are waiting for comes in chapter two.
Chapter two is like this brick wall and behind it is just greatness. But, on the topic of game mechanics being introduced to Dragon Soul, we also have mining. Oh, yeah. You want me to show mining? Okay, I'll show mining real quick. So, like on on the skills tree, you'll see the different requirements and stuff and we're thinking of uh thinking of adding a new like a new a new way to to farm and upgrade stuff, okay? Cuz we want you staying in game and giving us playtime, so you know there's a there's breakable fragmentable like materials around the map and we're going to be adding more of them as well.
And if you break them apart, you'll be able to get resources from them now.
>> [clears throat] >> They have like very rare drops sometimes, but most of them are just boring common materials and um and it's not just from from breaking these as well. You'll also be able to get them from specific events like you'll have to wait until night time.
For some of them you have to be in the other world for for other materials and stuff, but yeah. These materials will help you at like kind of upgrade paths on um on souls, maybe fusion, maybe moves. If you pay attention to what TPC said there at the end, he said these materials that you can mine can be used on things like soul and maybe fusion.
Obviously not fusion now. Fusion is very close to release and we've seen all the mental perks and it had nothing to do with mining. But, soul evolutions though. Let's take a look at soul evolutions. First off, we got like a upgrade tree. We're going to have these for more souls going forwards and also fusion probably. Now, if we do see a skill tree like this for fusion, I'm not sure how that would coincide with the mentor. I don't know if it'll be an additional thing on top of the mentor or they completely scrap the idea. But how it works for souls is a very interesting idea. We just don't know much about it yet and they didn't really expand upon this in the Q&A. But a lot of people have the misconception that the god form is going to come out in chapter two and that is just not the case. With the release of chapter two, we'll be getting forms like Daima Super Saiyan 4.
>> Uh the Daima SSJ4 is going to come out in chapter two.
I can confirm Okay.
I knew >> That's crazy. Mhm.
But that's about it for Dragon Soul in 2026 and what we have to look forward to in the future. But I do want to end it off with one last thing said by the devs. What percent would you say that you're [music] done with like the world too?
30%. 30? Really?
Yeah.
What? Yo, we're really getting it in 2099.
Really? For real.
We haven't even started. Let's get some order.
Wait.
Wait. Wait.
Wait.
Let's get some order in the court.
>> [laughter] >> Get some order.
Get some order.
Order in the We haven't started yet.
We We haven't We Wait.
This is not what he would have wanted.
Three, two, one, and then we go, right?
670 email? Yep. Yep. Yep.
two one Happy Happy birthday to to you. Happy birthday dear dear you.
>> [music] >> Hey, hey.
Hey, hey, hey. It was beautiful.
Hey, hey. Brazilian guy done the music again. That was the [laughter] best thing.
Yes.
