[00:00:00]So, since y'all love the story about my dad so much, I figured I'd share one more. When I came out as trans when I was 14 years old, my dad didn't put me on meds. My dad didn't take me out to go get girls' clothes. My dad didn't immediately find me a doctor. He said, "Hey, let's go find someone who's more educated on this topic, and let's go learn together." My dad led with hesitancy, not opposition, hesitancy. My dad took me to a gender specialist. My dad saw the gender specialist with me.

[00:00:24]My dad saw the gender specialist without me. He read documentaries. He read books. He did everything in his power to learn and understand what is the safe way to go about this. And that is what trans parents are doing. They're not forcing their kids into anything.

[00:00:38]They're being open-minded to the idea that what their kid might be telling them is true. Trying to say parents force this on their kids. My dad didn't even know what the word trans was. Do you know what he did know? He loved me.

[00:00:50]And he saw his child hurting, and he wanted to help. So, he did everything in his power to do that. Be like my dad.
