[00:00:00]On the 20th of May, 2025, Villa Park police were called to a Jewel-Osco after store security caught a woman allegedly stuffing merchandise into her purse. She still paid for a few items at the register, apparently hoping that would balance things out. Unfortunately for her, loss prevention had been watching the entire performance from start to finish.

[00:00:49]Employee here is saying there was a group of individuals. Security was able to stop one, the others left in the vehicle that uh hit our car and left. No description of the vehicle. I need you to use the finger on Okay.

[00:01:50]So, the offending vehicle is going to be a black Mercedes SUV, going to have a uh female, middle age, tender age child, fled uh eastbound St. Charles Road. the Jewel parking lot. And she was part of the theft as well cuz she was putting [ __ ] in her pocket as well. So I I was very mad on the floor.

[00:02:06]She put all the stuff in her purse in aisle 20. I was standing right behind her and she put everything in and zipped up the purse. Okay. Don't have enough video. Saw it. I'll sign complaints.

[00:02:19]Uh and then left with the rest of the stuff. The other the the fat driver was walking fast and probably ran to the car and then her and her that little tender-aged child left.

[00:05:34]I'm like, "Oh." I let them go, but then they walked to the aisle 20, the cleaning aisle, saw me. Mhm. So, I decided to come all the way around and look through this camera area.

[00:05:46]This is where I observed Gary, one thing for order is I double check the flowers. Can you go take a look and see what's in the Um so here observed through here her putting whatever the rest of the stuff in that we took, putting her doing this and then zipping it up.

[00:06:04]Got it. Two strawberries in the bag. So I saw them and then I I I had them because she wasn't going to take the stuff out. So then I just paired all of them. I went outside. I I went to the register. Whoever is at register four needs to wake up, too, cuz I asked him Yeah, whoever that dude is.

[00:06:18]I'm like, "Did they buy cosmetics?" "Oh, I don't know." Like, "Dude, pay attention. You were there like 10 seconds ago." That's how it is. They just don't listen.
