More freezing coldAdded:
Temperatures once again today running about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. We've got more of this on the way, but also a warmup, a couple of them. Your forecast is next.
>> Now, chief meteorologist Cameron Mland featuring the 3°ree guarantee sponsored by Habish Habish and Rotier.
Although our normal low temperature is now in the 40s, most of us woke up to upper 20s and lower 30s earlier today, including readings of 27 in WMA and also 29 in Clintonville. In Green Bay, the temperature was 32°. That is the latest spring freeze in 5 years. So yeah, it's pretty cold out there and we could beat that tonight. Right now we're looking at mid40s to lower 50s across northeast Wisconsin. It is currently 44 in Penbine. We've got 48 in WMA and we've got 50° in Brilliant. Clouds mixing with a few pockets of sunshine throughout the day. The temperature right now in Green Bay is coming in at 51. We've got gusty northwest winds at around 10 to 20 mph.
In Sturgeon Bay, the temperature is 45.
Skies are cloudy and the due point is 26. So, the due point often a good indicator of how cold it can get under ideal conditions. And I think many of us will see 20s once again tonight. The radar showing some light precipitation across northern D County. It's Verga, which means it's drying up before it reaches the ground. So, really not a whole lot going on right now across the Badger State, but we've got a couple of systems heading in from the north. They will help to reinforce the cool air across the western Great Lakes and give us more clouds and the chance for some showers as we head into tomorrow. While we were in the lower to mid50s this afternoon, it was even colder up to the north. A lot of locations did not even get out of the 30s across Minnesota and the UP. Tomorrow, I think most of us will see similar readings to what we saw today. Highs should be in the lower to mid50s. Clear skies later on tonight.
We'll give way to clouds tomorrow morning as that system moves in from the north. We'll have some on andoff chances for showers throughout the day. And yes, it'll be cold enough that a little sleet or a wet snowflake could mix in from time to time. On Friday, we'll see a mixture of sun and clouds throughout the morning, giving way to perhaps a few showers by the afternoon. But more importantly, it's going to be much warmer by Friday afternoon. I think most spots will be in the mid60s. The normal high for this time of year is now 63 degrees, so we'll be slightly above that. Cooler weather returns for much of next week, but your 8 to 14 day outlook, which runs from May 14th through May 20th, calls for a big warmup moving into Wisconsin. So, some things to look forward to. All right, another frosty night is on the way. Clouds mixing with stars. Lows will be around freezing.
Tomorrow, we'll see a lot of clouds.
We'll have some scattered showers. Highs will be in the lower to mid50s. My threede guarantee for tomorrow is 54. If I can hit that high within three degrees, we will donate $100 to the Manitawalk War warming shelter, which we did today. I forecast a high of 50. The high temperature was 53°. Your 7-day forecast looks wet. There is a chance for a shower or two pretty much every day, but it's going to be mainly dry and cool. Look for 65 on Friday, 53 on Monday, back up to 63 on Wednesday, and then much warmer weather as we head into next weekend.
