This episode provides a sophisticated synthesis of Hermeticism that successfully translates ancient gnosis for the modern seeker. It is a compelling critique of materialist reality, though it occasionally prioritizes spiritual sentiment over historical rigor.

Episode 260: Mind of the Supreme | Bledsoe Said So
Added:Weird things happen in the backyard of Bitco.
Wow.
Welcome to Bled So everybody. um episode 260. That's crazy.
I want to talk about some of the um the fun we've been having ever since Alex quit his job. But before we do that, I just want to give a special thank you to our um Lightbeam tiers. So, we've got our two anonymous fellas who wish to remain anonymous.
We have the Eperinss, we have Brian Lynch, and we have my man Derek Longoria. Thank you guys very, very much for your support. And also, I just want to throw this out there to everybody who listens to the show, who likes, who comments, who listens even, um, who are in our Discord or any level of our Patreon, whatever. If you in any way support the show, free or otherwise, we are very grateful. Thank you very much.
But, um, a special thank you to the Lightbeing tier. Now, it's been how many weeks since you got out of your your day gig?
>> It's two weeks. It's been kind of like three three-ish weeks.
>> Has it been three?
>> It's been a weird It's officially two.
>> Yeah, I feel like two. I feel like I remember two. I remember everything about you more than you do.
>> That's, you know, I'm just so I'm just so mission focused and my mind is on what matters, you know, like this beautiful studio. It's not really absorbing every fact of my life like you are so able to do.
>> Yeah. I watch you closely. No. So, if you follow us on YouTube, which is kind of like becoming our main platform, um, where we get the most of our views, um, you can see that we have completely changed the studio. So, Alex came over yesterday, spent like seven hours over here, and of course, I was watching the baby. Jenny was working, but she was in and out. And we just like totally rearranged everything. We were like, let's do it. Let's just let's just go nuts and um, you know, completely change everything and get a little upgrade to the vibe. So, we had a vibe check and um there might still be maybe some minor things we want to add along the way, but I just was really excited about this because it's it is a little weird. I wanted to acknowledge this for a reason because it is a little weird. Like from my perspective, everything is completely reversed. Um this might sound silly to you guys, but like for 5 years now, um you know, my microphone was on my left side, the camera was on my right side, and then the guest chair was to my left side. And now everything is completely reversed. So it feels a little weird um having to swap the microphone on the other side. I'm in the other chair on the other side. Now the camera is on my other side. So like things for me are backwards. So if it it's just if I'm uh you know fiddling with the mic a lot that's that's not for any other reason than it just feels like a stranger and I kind of am like trying to get used to doing it all backwards. So it's a little weird. So, um, you know, we'll get there, but it looks great. I'm very happy about it. Um, I am just in love with the new studio. It needed a refresh. It really needed um some some readjustment and uh some new energy. So, I'm happy about that. And then, I'm not going to go into great detail about this. We're going to save it. But, I keep saying this and um like I've said it in uh full disclosure. I don't know if you've that's um by the way that's our Patreon show at the river tier. And then Alex, I don't know if you've said this in Awake at all. Have you talked anything about the new thing we're doing?
>> The new No, I haven't. No.
>> Okay. Well, I'm >> I don't even think I've talked much about Awake on this show.
>> I Yeah, I guess you're right.
>> Yeah, >> I guess you're right. So, at the tier, one of the tiers, I can't remember the name of it right now, but uh I have a show similar to Full Disclosure. So, check out a Patreon ti. Ryan's got a show on there, Full Disclosure. I've got my show, Awake. Um you would have seen the studio upgrade behind the scenes on that show. But yeah, um having a lot of fun. I've got like seven episodes down right now. So, one day we'll catch up to full disclosure.
>> I don't know if it'll catch up, but you know, you're getting going and and um that's really good. So, I'm I'm just happy about all the change. And then I'm going to be very vague about this. We are uh working on something new. So, Bleo Setso will keep going. It's not going anywhere. This is going to be an addition to that. So, so we're we're sort of in the process of um creating something new to be in addition to BledoSo because we've been telling you guys for years that whenever we get to this point to where we're doing this full-time then, you know, we want to move forward, we want to do more. So, now we're ready to do more and we're and we're working on more. So, as we do things, it it takes time. you know, you have to um kind of vision board, you have to strategize, you have to get equipment, you have to think of, you know, names, processes, scheduling, all that stuff. So, we're we're working on something. So, just um you know, hang with us and let us cook. And in the meantime, Bletzoets is just going to keep going. It's our bread and butter.
And you know, I love doing it and I love talking about this stuff.
And I'm really excited about today's topic. I'll just go ahead and say we're going to we're not done withnosticism by any means and this is actually a complement to nasticism.
We're we're gonna sort of before we had Isaac um and then of course we did a follow-up episode after his episode. We were heavy maybe like 3 months or so we were down the trail of of doing um Gnostic Nagamati library texts which are authentic Gnostic texts from the actual movement almost 2,000 years ago.
And the thing about Gnosticism is that it is so much more complicated than just a religion. It's not a religion. It's not just an alternative form of Christianity even. But rather I and and I could be wrong about this. This is just my suspicion following these threads and reading these ancient texts and talking to people who are a part of esoteric initiatic traditions which originate from these tradition these traditions their their lineage you know for thousands of years. So between talking to people who are involved with these actual traditions with you know with narrative being passed down orally for thousands of years and paper trails and things like that plus you know reading the actual historical documents the papyri the manuscripts etc etc. I'm kind of like having this thought that we're going to go into today that nasticism and I mean little gnosticism not capital Gnosticism meaning when I say little g versus capital g means the broad thought the broad tradition you know gnostic meaning uh you're you're aware that this reality is is just the material world it's elucery it's like kind of a shadowy copy of the true world which is light which is spirit etc etc projected from the mind and then capital gnosticism would be like you're a valentinian gnostic or you're a niclian gnostic or you're a sethnostic or you're a etc etc there's so many different schools of nnosticism there's like six or seven or something and I've only covered really two um so I think like the the premise of ofnosticism is essentially the original tradition ition. That's that's my thought that the mystery schools of, you know, ancient Egypt and the ones around the world even that have these same core beliefs, but they have different data sets of words to describe things in their own language, in their own culture across the world at different times or points of history without contact to each other. They may not all have the Greek word nosis, but the premise is the same.
So I have the idea sort of that gnosticism is essentially the original tradition and it can also be understood as another word which is hermeticism which is interesting because when you read the writings in the corpus hermeticum which is we're going to get into the corpus hermeticum today. So officially today we're going to branch from the naggamati library of the gnostic Christian movement in the first century and second century in Israel and we're going to in in Greece we're going to branch into the corpus hermeticum which is interesting because a lot of these documents are either written in Greece some of them I think were in Alexandria Egypt but there is a strong correlation between these actual ancient documents some of which from the corpus hermetic come were even earlier than the Nagamadi library.
Some of them were written in the first century which means potentially around the time that Jesus lived. First century meaning before 100 AD.
Now, there's a lot of dispute about the actual literal existence of the sage figure Hermes Trismagist, but scholars are now starting to admit that the dating on much of the hermetic literature was wrong. Now the corpus hermeticum has texts as early as the first century but there are other writings that come out of Alexandria Egypt that are potentially even as old as 300 BC uh attribute and they're Egyptian documents written by phionic priestly class from temples in Alexandria Egypt attributed to Hermes Tis Majestice or uh giving authority to Hermes Trismaistice meaning the writer was not claimed to be him but the writer is giving authority to him.
So a lot of the popular thought about Hermes Tismagist was that that was a later fabrication but that may not be the case because we do have writings like I think it's called the the um gosh I just had it written down. It's called the Liebearer Hermit. Let me get it real quick. The Liebear Hermitus.
Um so lie hermitus was let me get the date on that one too.
Liebear Hermitus 3rd century BCE. So that was written you know 230s in before Christ in the text attributing and it's it was from Egypt and it talks about the 36 deans. what I've never heard that word before, but it has to do with the astrological governance of the zodiac. And then in the text, it lists the great sage Hermes thrice greatest or Hermes Trismagist as the authority of this knowledge. So that's pretty profound because if you Google right now corpus hermeticum or or text attributed to Hermes magistice it would say something to the effect of you know popped up in the 3rd century and then in the medieval era they a lot of Arabic texts in the later you know alchemical sort of medieval renaissance era attributed writings to this legendary character. That's not necessarily the case. If you know where to look at these these um academics who have manuscripts that are not even publicly available telling you that there are Egyptian papyri from hundreds of years before Jesus Christ attributing authority to the great sage Hermes Drisma. So I think that there is a through line here.
But I don't have access to some of those texts because they are academic uh property. They belong to universities and research institutes. So you have to pay certain fees to be able to read the translated manuscripts. I'm not going to do that. I'm going to stick to what's publicly available. It's just easier.
Um, but there there are several texts that I I just thought that was very much worth mentioning because if you're a nerd about this stuff, you probably hit that dead end. How old is hermeticism?
Well, legendary version says, you know, it's from Atlantis, but then the historical version says it popped up around the medieval era. That's not the case. It's actually before Christ even there were real, you know, references to Hermes Majestus. That's really important. So today we're going to be reading uh po I don't know how to say this. It is a Greek word. I'm guessing it's poandres but in the English you can translate this to mean the divine pymander or the great shepherd. Scholars claim that this may be like a symbolic analog to the Egyptian deity Osiris.
Um because of the idea of him rising to be like a solar deity of light but then also having the symbolism of being like a serpent coiled in the darkness. You could think of the story of like Osiris and um oh man, I'm blanking on his name.
It's it's the is it Sarapus? It's it's this ser it's the when you have the myth of Osiris it's like the rising sun and then when the sun sets there's the the dragon of darkness and it's this eternal battle. I can't why can't I remember this serpent's name? I think it's opposite it for me.
Alex is looking it up. Look up like the Egyptian serpent of the darkness. I don't know. I I always know this and it's just blanking out of my head. He he'll find it. Anyway, so um it does not say Osiris in the text, but interesting interestingly enough, Osiris is known to be one of the you found it.
Uh Apep also known as oppus, I'm pretty sure.
>> Yeah.
>> Or Sarapus.
>> Apous.
>> Apous. That's what it is. Frick, I couldn't remember that. Apous. Because when you know the myth of Osiris, it's like he is the so the rising sun and then when the sun sets, the serpent of darkness takes over the sky and it's like this eternal cosmic battle. Um, Apous, the dragon of darkness. And there's a little bit of symbolism of that in here. I'm going to read those parts in in the divine pymander as it's called in English. It is the first official trackctate in the Corpus Hermeticum, which is the what is the corpus hermeticum? It is a library of papyri and manuscripts that were either written in Greece or in Egypt that were either pretty much all of them were attributed to be written or dictated by Hermes Trismagist.
Again, we talked about the historical versus legendary debate. Somebody of a an esoteric tradition would tell you that Hermes Tris Majistus was the original sage figure that is before recorded civilization, before Babylon, before Egypt, before any of them. And they would tell you, and I tend to kind of swing this way too, they would tell you that this biblical reference point is Enoch, which Enoch means what?
Tradition. Um so Enoch was the scribe of the gods which is if you think about it in Egyptian or in Greek or in Roman terms that would be Hermes or Thoth or Mercury. So the word Hermes tism magistice is an amalgam of Hermes the Greek god of magic writing being described for the gods the messenger uh Thoth the same equivalent in Egypt and Mercury the equivalent in Rome. Hermes um tismagist thrice great or they always say or they also say Hermes Mir curious Thoth uh Freemasons Rosacrruian the Knights Templar Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn um all these different traditions and there are more that are like so obscure and they're all offshoots of each other but those are kind of the the big three I would say when referencing traditions would probably be Freemasons you know Rosaians are nice Templar They all attribute a lot of this philosophical understanding of the universe to the great sage Hermes Trismagist the thrice greatest the the you know the original teacher archetype.
So hermeticism is the tradition that as we just discussed scholars are now saying there are genuine fionic priest class uh papyri coming out of Alexandria Egypt from as early as the 3rd century before Christ attributing authority to by name Hermes Trismagist. So in ancient Egypt even before the Christian era there was a thought that there was an original teacher of the Egyptian priests and pharaohs by this name. So this is not a medieval era fabrication as is popularly uh said you know by skeptics. Um, very interesting, you know, when you think about it in those terms that in the times of ancient Egypt 2 and a half thousand years ago, essentially they they were the the priests at the temples of Alexandria were saying, "This is who passed down this knowledge of magic and the stars.
This fell named Hermes Trismagist literally." Right? So, the Corpus Hermeticum was all written after the birth of Christ. Fascinatingly enough, and why I am now on this trail and how does it relate to Gnosticism? Because in the Ngamadi library, there are, as I've already read them on the show, all three of them, um, there are texts from the Corpus Hermeticum.
But in the corpus hermeticum and as we're going to read in the first text today the divine pymander or you know the the the great shepherd uh there's reference to nosis which this text from the corpus hermeticum the divine pymander as I said written in the first century predates probably the vast majority of the namadi gnostic literature.
So when you think of a lot of people think Gnostics and hermeticists were different. They weren't. This was a perennial tradition.
This was a mystery school that that basically survived the flood that survived the cataclysm that devastated the world.
And this knowledge was passed through the ages in secret. It was nameless. It was just known as the way. In the hermetic documents, in the te in the hermetic texts, it constantly says it's the way of Hermes.
Remember Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. None will get to the father except through me." Right? Uh remember we did that episode, the way of light. And I went on that whole thing about how in ancient times the truth was just the way. It's just the way to be.
It's not about who you worship. It's how you need to be, right? It's a vibration.
It's a It's a state of consciousness.
And the ancients knew this. So they they had an understanding of how to purify yourself to let your consciousness unfold to be at a higher level to receive the mysteries to to to be one with God to achieve nosis which meant a personal experiential revelation from the spirit world or from the divine. And interestingly enough, in the Nagamati texts, which we've already discussed, and you can read about this in like the stranger episode that we just did a few months ago, and um in this one in the very beginning of the divine pymander and in uh the not the the most recent Nagamadi one we did that was, you know, the hermetic literature. What do we call that?
Tismagist, right? Um, you see this correlation between the Gnostic and the hermetic texts where it's describing to you that they're going into a profound state of mental stillness that they're meditating and the divine pymander like I'll I'll read it to you right here in the very beginning really quick. It says, "It chanced once on a time my mind was meditating on the things that are. My thought was raised to a great height. the senses of my body being held back just as men who are weighed down with sleep after a fill of food or from fatigue of body. Me thought a being more than vast in size beyond all bounds called out my name and saith, what would thou hear and see? And what hast thou in mind to learn and know? So again, he's describing to you that at a at a point of exhaustion and relaxation and stillness of mind, like fatigue or eating a huge meal, he's so physically relaxed that he withdraws from his senses and then has this profound experience of nosis and speaks to God.
So, we're going to get deeper into the text, but I wanted to make this parallel here that the traditions of ancient Egypt, the Gnostics, the Eloinian mysteries, which we can get more into that later. I haven't read any uh firsthand writings from them, but I I mean you could read about them through the writings of Plato because he was an initiate and Pythagoras uh because he was an initiate.
And then again when you read the writings of Plato, he tells the story of his relative Solon who who went to Egypt and says, "Hey, I was initiated into the mysteries of um God by the priests of the temples of Egypt." And I got to tell you, Plato, they told me while I was there that they learned all of their knowledge from the great ancient priests of Atlantis.
That's in the actual writings of Plato.
um by the way who was an initiate of the Greek elucinian mysteries. So when you follow these threads you see that it was all one perennial philosophy. They were like scientists.
They they were eclectically um in secret. They were collecting what worked. Whether it was a meditation practice, whether it was a a a knowledge of how to have experience of the divine, they they were, you know, passing this around to initiates within this nameless, ageless tradition. But the what the secret wasn't because they were like, how do we dominate the world? That was that was a different group. That was a that was that was a a whole different thing. and and potentially that group, you know, is why Atlantis fell or the flood happened or whatever because of the the the demonic horrible calamities that they were invoking upon the earth through, you know, demonic forces.
But the the perennial philosophy survived and the initiates knew that for people to receive this knowledge they had to in other words they had to sort of prove themselves worthy of committing to the path. Uh they had to go through some sort of period of profession where it could have been a year, it could have been I don't know a month, I don't know.
A lot of them it was a year and sometimes they would have to do a vow of silence. Sometimes they would have to do fasting. Sometimes they would have to live aesthetically and do certain ritual bathing and um you know do certain things to prove that they earnestly wanted to receive the mysteries and these aesthetic but they were aesthetic in the sense that they kept their tradition away from the exoteric world who were like animals and they're you know it's like heathens.
They didn't they didn't understand the esoteric mysteries of God. I mean, even think of the story of Moses. He goes up on the mountain. He speaks to God, a light, and he's like, "Here's the Ten Commandments. Go tell the people." He's like, "Sounds great." You know, he's up there for 10 days or whatever, whatever the I don't remember the exact number, but it was days he was up there. He goes to the bottom of the mountain and they're all like freaking having a party and they're worshiping a gold bull. And Moses like, "What the heck? we just had this whole thing that you know our god saved us from the Egyptians and you guys are like screw you and you're worshiping some effigy of another deity ball by the way. So like even then even in biblical times you had these prophets and and these like like Jesus or whoever would go and they would have some sort of mystery given to them from God and then they would go to bring it to other people and they were like heathens.
That's always been the story of mankind.
There's always been an exoteric masses and an esoteric inner thing going on. It's not It's not nefarious. It's not nefarious that Jesus knew more than his disciples. It's because he was worthy because he walked the path and he, you know, he purified himself.
And if you read the gospels, he does everything he can to teach his disciples. And even Peter, he keeps getting angry. Peter denied Jesus three times. It's if you read the gospel, I can't remember if it's Luke or if it's Matthew because they all have differences in and exactly how things go. But if you read the story, when the guards came to the Garden of Gethsemane to try to apprehend Christ, Peter denied that he knew him three times. Bro, that's your homie. You know what I mean?
Like even the disciple of Christ was denying involvement with God.
So, you can't you can't think that just because people in the ancient world had some sort of deeper understanding of the mysteries and they didn't just give it out that they're all like he he know we're going to dominate the world like that existed too, but it was a separate thing. All right. So, anyway, so the the timeless tradition, the the the perennial philosophy that has existed truly throughout the universe, it's the universal philosophy and um it's just truth. It's just wisdom. And when you distill it to its most basic form, you start to see commonalities in many great powerhouse places in the ancient world like China with the Dao. Uh Tibet with specifically esoteric Tibetan Buddhism, which also has a cognate in Japan, which is known as Shingong Buddhism, which is like esobic esobic esoteric Japanese version of Tibetan Buddhism. Right?
You have um the ancient Hinduism, the the Vic tradition, right? The Brahmas.
You have uh the Celtic Druids who were obviously I mean we have the whole Merlin myth and all this magical mystery out of Scotland and uh England.
Obviously Irish folklore with their very powerful understanding of the phenomenon, right? Their legends of the fay coming from the mounds and being shiny little sprites and things like that. You can go look at Jocket. He'll tell you up and down, hey, the Irish had it figured out. the fay. Woo. That's like hot topic right now. So clearly they knew their stuff too. Obviously um the Gnostics, the Eloinian, Orphic, and Delic traditions of Greece. Uh you know, honorable and most probably important mention the temple traditions of Egypt.
And then you had I think that's about everybody, the Essenes out of Israel and Egypt. And uh oh duh the Mthraic mysteries which before that was you know Zoroastrianism and the magi tradition.
The Cathars which eventually I want to get into that because that's a really cool topic and I just found out today that they still have firsthand writings that have survived. Um and they very much relate to the Templar Gnostic tradition and the whole white robes and all that. And um if I'm missing any, you know, just give me a break. I I just went down the line and named about a dozen.
All oh the come on now the Toltech of Mexico you know so all of these different traditions when you distill their philosophies and their spiritual knowledge and the mechanics of the cosmos even though they have different data sets of words to describe phenomena and they have different cultural understandings of things they're saying the same thing. They're pretty much saying the same thing. Oh, and the Doan tribe, too. It just goes on and on. All these traditions that had the same idea that there was a twin world. It's the spirit world, the invisible world.
And the material world is the illusion.
And you know, the journey, the quest of mortal life is to become immortal. And you saw this in all of the ancient myths. You saw this in the story of Dian Isis when you know he was slain by the titans and then Zeus pulled uh you know slaughtered those titans and then took Dian Isis's heart and infused it with the ash of the titans and he was twice born as a god. Uh, you know, that's that's the story of mankind. How we have the ashes of titans and the heart of a god, but the body of immortal. We're part spirit, part matter, right? It's it's all it's all infused into the mythology and the philosophy of the ancients.
>> What what does that mean?
>> The cross.
>> The cross.
>> Yeah. Yeah. The cross. Yeah, that's exactly right. That we're part mortal, part immortal. We're we're we're part physical, part spiritual. Um and and there's a duality to all things. It's you know we're part masculine, we're part feminine. The the masculine would be like uh the discipline required to aspire to achieve those seven angelic virtues.
And then the feminine would be the subtle uh the subtle experiential >> knowledge and wisdom.
>> Knowledge and wisdom of the invisible spirit, right? Uh light and dark, the visible, the invisible, amun ra, right?
We we we go into this all the time.
So when I say that Gnostic is the original tradition, I'm not saying that the actual literal condemned heretical body of Gnostic Christians from the from you know the first, second, third century when you read like against heresies by Irenaeus and the councils of Nika uh they were banning the Gnostics as heretics. I'm not exactly talking about those actual people. I'm talking about the idea that the Gnostics posed which is one and the same with the idea of the hermetic tradition which was literally you know claimed as authority by Egyptian priests in the temples of Alexandria hundreds of years before Christ. You can see you can you can pick apart history and you can see these threads of this tradition existing underneath the rubble of the version of history that we were given.
And all these people were saying the same thing which is you know purify yourself, purify your consciousness.
Uh become one with you know the spirit and the mind of God. And obviously you know through walking this path you can learn very valuable meditation type techniques and ways to expand your consciousness so that you can receive knowledge or as they called it nosis of the mysteries of God that you can and you know I got to say there's a lot of people around the world waking up everywhere and seeing orbs. Orbs are so common place now.
Um, I want to give a shout out to uh, Representative or I should say Congressman Eric Berles because yesterday was pretty or it was either yesterday or the day before, but pretty awesome because it's the first time that uh, a congressman has actually come out and publicly acknowledged us. He talked about um, you know, meeting my dad and I thought that was really cool. But like our story is now kind of at like a a a congressional level if you think about it. like this whole orb thing and everything we've been positing for 20 years, it's kind of getting out there in a big way. So like I'm not blowing smoke here. Like if you if you devote your life to the spiritual path, as the ancients called it the way, many magical things can happen. You know, you can have miracles, you can see orbs, you can have profound synchronicities, you can you can uh remote view, you can do all kinds of things. I think everybody has different gifts and different talents and uh it's like find your talent. Narrow in on that. You can do it. You know, you can you can maybe I don't know. I mean, maybe maybe communicate with orbs, maybe you're a remote viewer, maybe you're pre-cognitive.
There there's so many different gifts now that are unfolding.
So, I want to get into the text. Um instead of just talking about it, I'm going to get to it. I'm going to start actually reading it. Um and it's not that long. I cut out the stuff that I didn't think was very relevant. So, Pouy Mandres or Pandre, also the divine pymander, translates to mean like uh the great shepherd or the man shepherd. And I included a couple different translations in the beginning here so that you can see that depending on who's translating the manuscript, there's a slight different inclination to how the the great shepherd is describing himself. I meant to say this earlier.
Um, Osiris, he holds a crook and a flail.
And I think it's the crook is like a shepherd's stick. You know who else was a shepherd?
>> Jesus, the shepherd of men.
>> The J man.
>> The J man. He was the shepherd of men.
And there's parallels to Christ in this, too. There's there's again this is so important because you what people don't realize as well is that through the first century second century third century Gnostic movement and through the hermetic perennial philosophy and through the actual birth of Christ which was acknowledged by the magi tradition by the way which was an ancient Persian prophecy you're starting to see all these different esoteric traditions coming together in alignment And oh and by the way Jesus was a Nazarene. He was born in Nazareth uh or he lived in Nazareth rather which people believe that the Essins were in Nazareth and that Jesus was an Essene. Um which is profound because they were connected to this Egyptian uh tradition and the Persian tradition.
So if you read the writing, we did a whole episode on the Essie just a few years ago and there's a lot of writings about them by ancient scholars, ancient philosophers, ancient Roman officials, and they all completely unanimously agreed that the Essins were the most godly people in all of Israel in the first century. Anybody who ever came in contact with the ancient Essen said they were the most godly, purehearted, purethoughted, white robew wearing, lovely uh humble souls.
And uh by the way, the the Kuman scrolls, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a lot of this popular stuff that's being talked about in relation to the phenomenon that was written by Essins, by the way. Book of Enoch written by Essins. Scrolls of Kuman. I don't know if a lot of people realize that.
So Jesus was an Essene. The magi recognized him as the savior. We know that the magi were the this tradition of the star. And you know, you can go to France and you can see the the symbol of Balthazar, which was a kind of a French um esoteric tradition that established a castle there and said that Balthazar had brought Mary Magdalene. There's this tradition of ancient mystery schools who all had a synthesis of knowledge and ideas and worked in harmony and um they're connected to Christ. They're connected to Jesus Christ. They're connected to the real original historical Christianity. There were Christianities. There were like three different original bishops.
The Orthodox movement of today claims that the first bishop or you know their version of a pope or whatever was Paul.
The Catholics claim it was Peter. The Templars who I'm more in line with claim that it was James. All of these are historically true that these movements distend from these people.
And when you look into them there's a dispute of all of their doctrines. The funny thing is that you know the modern version of the the church that we have today which was you know the Catholic version that kind of took supremacy uh they were killing all the others and they banned the Gnostic movement and the Templar movement and the Catholar movement. They banned them all as heretical. They pretty much wiped him out and they were like this is too dangerous for them to believe that you know they reincarnate and that they don't have to give us ultimate power because they these silly fools believe that they have a personal connection with God and we can't have that. We want them to come to us for their connection to God. Right? So anyway, um the the the divine pyander is the shepherd. And there's a lot of like Christ logos terminology. It doesn't say the word Christ, but it says the word logos, which if you know in the book of John, what is the very first words? In the beginning was the word and the word was God and the word was with God. If you know the New Testament was written in coin a Greek and if you look at the original lexicon when it says the word it's actually saying the logos which means more or less a mind and a lot of scholars agree that the book of John was written around 90 to 110 something AD by gnostics. Funny that neoplatonists or gnostics.
What is a neoplatonist? It's the school of thought in ancient Greece and Israel and Egypt and Rome that carried forth the teachings of Plato who as we discussed earlier was connected to the perennial philosophy. He was an initiate of the Elucinian mysteries and he you know wrote about taking you know the magic potion Kikon in and his uh some of his his writings right so either neoplatonists or gnostics may very well have even written the book of John if you talk to a knight's templar a real one they say that uh the mysteries of the entire universe are contained within the book of John which is the key to the knowledge and it says in the beginning was the logos And the logos was God and the logos was with God. And it's talking about Christ.
It's talking about Jesus Christ being there in the beginning. The alpha, the omega, the logos, the mind, but also being with the mind of God, but then springing forth from the mind of God.
And a lot of that kind of concept is in this text, the divine pymander in reference to the great shepherd. Right?
So, let's get into it.
This is one line. This is like four different translations. And then we're going to read the GRS me translation. So GRS me's version says, "And I do say, who art thou? He saith, I am man shepherd, mind of all masterhood. I know what thou desireest and I am with thee everywhere." Then there's the Brian Copenha translation. Who are you? I asked. I am Poo Mandreas. He said, mind of sovereignty. I know what you want and I am with you everywhere.
Solomon Van Oen and Wharton translation.
Who are you? said I. He said, I am poandras, the noose of the supreme.
Noose is another Greek word that means like mind or soul or or spirit or thought. I know what you wish and I am with you everywhere.
Now, we're going to do the GRS me translation. I've chopped some of this out that wasn't very relevant or very exciting and uh have condensed the majority of it here.
Let's just get into it. It chanced once on a time my mind was meditating on the things that are. My thought was raised to a great height, the senses of my body being held back, just as men who are weighed down with sleep after a fill of food or from fatigue of body. Me thought a being more than vast in size beyond all bounds called out my name and saith, what thou hear and see? And what's thou in mind to learn and know?
And I do say, remember this is attributed to be Hermes Tris Magajestice himself, right? And I do say, who art thou? He saith, I am men shepherd, po menress, mind of all masterhood. I know what thou desireest, and I am with thee everywhere.
And I reply, I long to learn things that are, and comprehend their nature, and know God. This is, I said, what I desire to hear. He answered back to me, "Hold in thy mind all thou wouldst know, and I will teach thee." Even with these words, his aspect changed. And straight away, in the twinkling of an eye, all things were open to me. And I see a vision limitless. All things turned into light.
Sweet joyous light.
And I became transported as I gazed. Hey everybody, this is Alex with Bled So. If you've been following the show for a little while, you'd know that I just had a child. And this has been one of the most life-changing experiences that I've ever been through. However, it has made me way busier. And I'm sure many of you out there are parents and many of you out there are busy. Uh but just because you're busy, it doesn't mean that your spiritual exploration and your meditative practice has to suffer.
That's why I'm so excited to tell you about the brand new offering from the Monroe Institute. If you go to monroinstitute.org, you can access the Gateway Voyage online. Use codebs at checkout. But in a little while, darkness came settling down on part of it, awesome and gloomy, coiling in sineuous folds, so that me thought it like unto a snake.
And then the darkness changed into some sort of a moist nature, tossed about beyond all power of words, belching out smoke as from a fire, and groaning forth a wailing sound that beggars all description. And after that an outcry inarticulate came forth from it as though it were a voice of fire.
Thereon out of the light a holy logos descended on that nature and upwards to the height from the moist nature leapt forth pure light. Light was it swift and active too. The air too being light followed after the fire, from out of the earth and water rising up to fire, so that it seemed to hang there from. But earth and water stayed so mingled with each other that earth from water no one could discern. Yet they were moved to hear by reason of the spirit word logos pervading them. Then saith to me, pymander, dst thou understand this vision what it means? Nay, that shall I know, said I, that light, he said, am I, thy God, mind, prior to moist nature, which appeared from darkness. The light word logos that appeared from mind is son of God.
What then say I know that what sees in thee and hears is the logos but mind is father God not separate are they the one from other just in their union rather is it life consists thanks be to thee I said so let's unpack that this being who he said was a great light bigger than the cosmos more and if it didn't say that yet at will more vast than he can hold within his thoughts this brilliant light says I am thy God but from my mind springs forth the logos he he shows him a vision of this radiant light creating the universe and the elements springing forth fire and water and earth and air and then there's this darkness that takes hold and it's like this gloomy darkness that looks moist and it's like the chaotic void and then there's this coiling suous serpent-like being that you know appears from the light. And then he says something springs forth from the light which is the logos. And he says thy mind is me God.
But the logos is what sees and hears from within your mind. So what is he saying? That same I'm just going to say Christ even though he's not saying Christ. We just went into the whole spiel about how in the Bible it says Christ is the logos. Here he's talking about the logos. He literally calls it the son of God, right? Uh so we're talking about a Christ being that exists cosmically throughout the universe. Even in this ancient hermetic tradition, he's saying you are that being that your mind is me. But what sees and what hears from within you is the logos.
And life consists when the two are one.
So when your mind is one with Christ, when your mind is one with the logos, then you have life, life eternal. You see what I'm saying? And then it's like, how do we how do we do that? Well, we have the whole tradition about, you know, purifying yourself, walking the path, walking the way, right? And it even talks about that towards the end of the text. So, let's keep going. But I had to make sure that that wasn't overlooked. that even in this Egyptian uh mystery tradition, it's talking to you about the son of God, you know, the son of God and and and the logos and people think level one when you find out about these mysteries, especially I'm not knocking Christ. I would never knock Christ. But what I am going to do is I'm going to give a little playful tap on the fundamental Christians because uh when I say fundamental that means the belief that the Bible is 100% literal and infallible.
I don't hold that belief, but a lot of people do. And they think anything outside of it is evil and they're scared and they think it's icky and they're paranoid. And uh when you really start looking at these documents, you you really see there's a beautiful connection between Christ and these mystery traditions and a lot of this understanding that you have today of things like the occult or you know Alistister Crowley and the satanic tradition that is very real but it is not the real thing. That is very separate and it is uh it's not the main story. You know what I'm saying? the the the real tradition, the real mysteries of the of of the ancient Egyptians and and the initiates was the same path that Christ walked.
And I would argue that Christ was an initiate of this tradition. I think that there is ample evidence of this with him being a Nazarene living in contact with the Essins his whole life.
The magi having found him as a child, they were literally part of this magi tradition. They made sure he went to Egypt when he was born so that he wouldn't be killed.
I think there's a strong case here that you know especially when you read the Nagamadi library there's even documents in uh Tibet that talk about in their monastery there was the or it might be Nepal that there was uh the St. Isa from Israel um who was uh you know he came and he did a bunch of miracles and then he went back to Israel to be with his people.
There's all kinds of things suggesting that Christ may have been an initiate of this same mystery tradition. But anyway, so let's get back to the to the reading. But tell me further mind of me, I cried. How shall I come to life again? Remember it just described that life is the union of the logos within you and then your mind which is God. You come from the great mind which is God. Right? But then you are a microcosm of that. He's explaining to you that you know your mind is God and then your being is the logo or the logos or you could say Christ. You know you are you are God and you are God the ineffable through the invisible mind in your body. But then you are also Christ, the expressed God throughout the universe.
And your eternal life consists of the union of those two. So that's what he's referring to. But tell me further, mind of me, I cried, how shall I come to life again?
For God doth say, "The man who the man who hath mind in him, let him learn to know that he himself is deathless."
Have not all men, let me let me read that again. Have not all men then mind?
Thou sayest well, oh thou thus speaking, I mind myself am present with holy men, and good and the pure and merciful men who live piously.
To such my presence doth become an aid, and straightway they gain nosis of all things. and win the Father's love by their pure lives, and give him thanks, invoking on him blessings, and chanting hymns intent on him with ardent love.
And ear they give up the body unto its proper death. They turn them with disgust from its sensations, from knowledge of what things they operate.
Nay, it is I, the mind, that will not let the operations which befall the body work to their natural end. For being doorkeeper, I will close up all the entrances and cut the mental actions off which base and evil energies induce. But to the mindless ones, the wicked and depraved, the envious and covetous, and those who mured, do and love impiety. I am far off, yielding my place to the avenging demon, who sharpening the fire, tormenteth him, and added addeth fire to fire upon him, and rushth upon him through his senses, thus rendering him readier for transgressions of the law, so that he meets with greater torment. Nor do he ever cease to have desire for appetites inordinate, insatiely striving in the dark. Well, hast thou taught me all as I desired, oh mind. And now pray, tell me further of the nature of the way above, as now it is for me. Tell me the nature of the way above.
The way that was that's what it was to the ancients. It's just the way. Like Christ said, "I am the way." He's not saying, "Worship me, you fools." He's saying, "Be like me." He literally said, "Look upon my face and you will see the face of God." He spoke in mysteries.
He's telling you, "Be like me." In the end of the book of John, he says, "When I leave here, you all," talking to his disciples, he says, "You all will perform so many miracles in my name that all the books in the world couldn't contain the writings of what you will do when I'm gone." You know? So, this is pretty incredible cuz I think like I always think of when you learn about the initiatic traditions and the esoteric level one for everybody is it's satanic.
It's the Freemasons. They run the world.
It's the Illuminati. And I've been there. Everybody's been there. And unless you're lucky and you were like born into this stuff. That's level one.
And then when that lotus keeps blooming, which is your mind, and you keep peeling back those layers, you realize it's a little deeper than that. Yeah. Right.
Alex is doing the hand blooming thing.
He's that he thinks it's funny that I do. But uh which is why I'm not doing it this time because you keep laughing at me. But you look like Napoleon Dynamite, bro.
But when when your mind keeps you know reaching higher levels of narrative and understanding you realize it's not all evil and that it is very much the undercurrent of philosophy itself and religion and spiritual tradition of the ancients you know and um you know reading this here this is profound stuff but the the corpus hermeticum you I want you to understand that the entire alchemical tradition of the medieval in the Renaissance era was pretty much based on these writings you know alchemy the whole movement the the the secret philosophy of like transforming the soul to to have higher psychic faculties that's literally based on this that's based on this tradition and some some other writings as well like like I said there were pre-Christian era um you know writings attributed to Hermes Trismagist there was the Greek magical papyrii and there's other stuff like the the temple uh writings in the pyramids I think they're called the utterances but the crux of the entire alchemical tradition was based on essentially the corpus or medic. So this this this explanation for how the mind and how the soul and how the cosmos came into being which I am skipping the part that's the cosmogenesis which is basically I'm I'm skipping a lot of the stuff that has to do with like how the world was created because it's it's very similar to the book of Genesis and the Nakamani text. I don't need to over and over read how did they say the world was created. We, you know, I'm talking about certain things here, right?
This was like the crux of the alchemical tradition and the the the esoteric traditions of today. So, this is important philosophy. This is like to understand this body of work and this very text is to understand a very large part of the actual operating esoteric mystery schools of today. The Knights Templar, the Rosacrruian, the Freemasons, and like I said, those are the big three. And I'm sure that there are others. You could go down the line and find many more. like there's Martinists, there's the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, there are uh you know the Priaryy of Seion, there's uh the Knights of Malta, there's so many other ones that if you really really did your homework, you know there's a lot and they're are all kind of like cousins of each other and they have different lineages, but it's all one perennial philosophy, right, with a different flag. Um so what does it say? So all that exposition I just gave to say that what it's telling you here is that the way of the spirit world above is to reject the desires of the physical senses and to become pious to become connected to the spirit to to to seek oneness with the Christlike aspect of your being within you and the ineffable invisible God or mind. you know to become one with your mind and purify your thoughts, purify your heart, purify your consciousness, seek God and reject hedenism, reject degeneracy.
That does not mean you will be perfect.
To be human is to be imperfect. The point is to aspire. You're not going to be a nun. You're not going to be a priest. You're not going to be a monk.
If you can do those things, that's great. I can tell you I can't. I mess up every day. I'm a knucklehead. I make tons of mistakes, but dang, if I don't get excited about, you know, getting on the path, you know what I mean? And maybe my feet hurt today and I can't walk as far as yesterday, but I I'm still my compass is straight. I'm still picking up and moving on. You know what I mean? Like, it's not linear. We're not going to be perfect every day. We're not going to be perfect any day. But to be to to not even try is sad.
and to know and to reject trying to seek the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, you know, the the the the presence.
Uh that's the worst position to be in.
That's I mean, you know, that's like Cipher in the Matrix, you know, he's a rat. So, anyway, moving on.
I think I already read this part. When the material body is dissolved.
No, I I know this is where I stopped.
Remember he said, "Well, well, hast thou taught me all as I desired, oh mind, to be dissolved. First thou surrenderest the body by itself unto the work of change, and thus the form thou hast doth vanish, and thou surrenderest the way of life void of its energy unto the Damon."
The body's senses next pass back into their sources, becoming separate, and resurrect as energies, and passion and desire withdraw unto that nature which is void of reason. And thus it is that man doth speed his way thereafter upwards through the harmony or as uh Pythagoras said the harmony of the spheres the cosmos you know celestial bodies working in harmony that's like this big old song and dance and that's that's the whole thing with Shiva too that's the Vic tradition right to the first zone he gives the energy of growth and waning unto the second zone device divise of evils now deenergized unto the third the guile of desires ers deenergized unto the fourth. His doineering arrogance also deenergized unto the fifth. Unholy daring in the rashness of audacity. I thought that one was funny. Deenergized. Unto the sixth, striving for wealth by evil means. I love that because I don't think there's anything wrong with being wealthy. I think it has to do with how you use it and how you abuse it and how you earned it. I completely agree with that.
Well, seek uh striving for wealth by evil means deprived of its arandisement and to the seventh zone and snaring falsehood deenergized. And then with all the energizings of the harmony stripped from him, clothed in his proper power, he cometh to that nature which belongs unto the eighth. And therew with those that are himnithth the father.
They who are there welcome his coming there with joy. And he made like to them that sojourn there do further hear the powers who are above the nature that belongs unto the eighth singing their songs of praise to God in language of their own. And then they in a band go to the fatherhome of their own selves that make surrender of themselves to powers and thus becoming powers there are in God.
this the good and for those who have gained nosis to be made one with God. Again, what is nosis? Nosis is an experiential union with God. What does experiential mean?
That means you had an experience such as seeing an orb or you went out of body or you received a divine vision or a revelation or you telepathically were given knowledge or something so profoundly spiritual that you can't deny it and it completely alters your perception of reality. That is nosis. It is having an experience that penetrates your mind so deep that you're forever changed and you understand the truth of the spiritual world that it is real and that it exists and it is aware of you and it is a part of you. That is nosis.
Um you can't come back from it. And in order to have an experience of this type, you have to either uh be knocked down by the great mystery of life through trauma because maybe you've been arrogant, maybe you've been mean, maybe you've been a jerk, maybe, you know, etc., etc., etc. You've been on the wrong path, but God wants you on the right one. So, he'll kick your door down and he'll give you some sort of messed up event to humble you. Or if you're smart, if you know what Christ was telling you, if you know what the great original sage of the world, Hermes Trisus was telling you or Plato or all of these other master teachers, they're saying, "Hey, follow the way. Follow the way. Purify yourself uh and you'll be one with God. You don't have to be necessarily traumatized. You can through training and through discipline, through becoming like a knight, right? That's the whole symbolism of the knights. It was an oath of chivalry. It was an oath of discipline. It was an oath of training. Uh protecting the weak and the innocent. Uh taking a vow that you would never um that you would never be complacent for the suffering of others or in the world anymore. That you would strive to evolve and to better yourself through the training of your mind and body. Right? There's a thing. There's a path. The Toltech in ancient Mexico thousands of years ago called themselves the warriors of the flowery path because these ancient mystery schools knew that the peak version of human consciousness is the warrior and the monk in one body or we could say that as the masculine and the feminine. The warrior it doesn't mean you got to go kill people. It doesn't mean you have to be a bad martial artist. It means that you have discipline that you strive and you aspire to grow and to train and to reach higher heights mentally, spiritually, even physically take care of yourself, right?
The monk or as I would say maybe there's a relation here. The the you know the feminine so the masculine would be the warrior, the monk would be the feminine, the spiritual seeking the spiritual, the invisible, the subtle, the experiential.
You're receiving mysteries. You're receiving uh you know an experience from from God and the spiritual realm because in order to in order to make contact with the spiritual realm, you have to shut up and you have to listen, pray, you know, do do your prayers, do all that. That's very powerful. I don't mean literally. You you can't ever, you know, talk to God and pray. That's not what I'm saying. But I'm saying you have to be quiet. You have to, you know, focus your mind and you have to listen and you have to, you have to be receptive. You have to be humble. You have to, you know, be reverent to the sacred. You have to be pious. You have to be seeking to receive knowledge and mysteries from the spirit world. And it's like Christ said, "Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will be find or excuse me, knock and it will be open. Seek and you will find. Ask and it will be given to you. He's telling you the secret right there that if you seek the mysteries. If you seek God, it will be given to you. But you got to you got to you got to be right when you approach God. When you approach sacred, you got to be right. You got to be humble.
You got to be receptive.
Okay, moving on. Moving on.
They who are there, and we're almost towards the end of the text here, they who are there welcome his coming with joy. And he made like to them that sojurnn there do doth further hear the powers who are above the nature that belongs unto the eighth. Singing their songs of praise to God in language of their own. And then they in a band go to the fatherhome of their own selves. They make surrender of themselves to powers.
And thus becoming powers, they are in God. This the good end for those who have gained no sis to be made one with God. Who shouldst thou then delay? Must it not be since thou hast all received that thou shouldst to the worthy point the way in order that through thee the race of mortal kind may by thy God be saved. So God is giving Hermes tismaistas here or we could say it's Enoch, right? the the the the initiatic traditions believe that there is a parallel that Enoch and Hermes Trisagistus were one. And if you read the biblical story, Enoch was there during the time of the flood. He was uh Noah's like great great grandfather in the it's either great grandpa or great great grandpa. It was Enoch, then it was or it was it was either Methuselah, then Enoch, then Jared, then Noah, or it was like the other way around. But but Enoch was either the like the great-grandfather or the great great-randfather or something like that to uh Noah. And the Bible does I know that, you know, the the the biblical narrative of exactly when things happened may not literally be, you know, 5,000 years ago. I know the flood could have been longer ago. I know that could be a dispute about the historicity of that.
But the point is that if we understand the Atlantean tradition, the mysteries of the pre flood world surviving the flood and into the modern world, the Bible places Enoch in the story around the flood. So that is just an interesting uh kind of parallel there.
And if you know the story of Enoch from the Bible and from the book of Enoch, he uh was like the great master scribe who spoke face to face with God and flew around on a a a basically a craft of light for 365 uh days, I think. And then it just said he was not he was he disappeared. He he never died. He he was immortal. He God translated him into a a spirit and he he literally never died. He became immortal. Right? So Enoch in the cabalistic tradition says that he became Medatron, the king of angels. Um and I think the Arabic Sufi world has some things to say about Enoch as well.
What you got?
>> 365 years.
>> 365 years. I know he lived that long. I could or was it that's how long he was with God.
Or am I tripping? It says lived. Um, but instead of physically dying, he walked with God and was taken directly to heaven. Yeah. So, there's what, two or three people in the Bible, uh, Jesus Christ.
Enoch.
Um, and who is it? Elijah, right? Isn't it? Jesus Christ, Enoch. I'm asking you like, you know, I know you didn't grow up reading the Bible, dude, but I think it's Enoch, Jesus Christ, and Elijah.
they they ascended and they never mortally died. And even in the in the New Testament, uh they ask Jesus if he's Elijah come again.
A and Jesus and is quoting Enoch at a certain point in the New Testament, whether it's a reference to Jesus quoting him um in one of the gospels. I also want to say in the book of Jude, there's a quote made to uh Enoch. But the point is that there's a great relevance put here on the biblical Enoch to the Egyptian mystery school tradition of Hermes Tris Tris uh Majestice. There there's a comparison to be made that they may have been one in the same person and the biblical Enoch being the scribe that it literally describes him as God would give him direction and he would go give that direction even to angels and he would go and he would write it down on tablets. He would go give it to mankind. He would give it to angels. He was God's scribe. It literally says he was the scribe of God.
Hermes, Tris, Magajistus, Thrice, Greatest, Thoth, Mercury, Home, Hermes, they were God scribes, right? So, there's a great comparison to be made between these four characters. There's there's you see what I'm saying? So, anyway, um I don't remember how I got on that rant, so let's just move on.
this when he had said uh oh I know why I said this because right here where I left off God was giving Hermes Tismagist the charge to spread the knowledge of nosis and enlightenment to wake up humanity to save the world from degeneracy from from you know just being autonomous mindless humans who are stuck in the trap of their uh you know physical desires blinding them to the light right this one he had said man shepherd mingled with the powers um man shepherd is pyander or or poandras. But I with thanks and blessings unto the father of the universal powers was freed full of the power he had poured into me and full of what he had taught me of the nature of the all and the loftiest vision. He had nosis. He he he became enlightened.
He he was face to face with God. This was his initiation. This this is so profound because we're reading an allegorical or maybe even this was orally passed down forever. We we truly don't know. But um this is describing the initiatory moment where Hermes Trismagist perhaps Enoch had his original moment of enlightenment where he came face to face with God who gave him a vision of reality coming into being and said wake up little mortal.
The son of God is within you. It's it's the part within your consciousness that sees and hears all and your mind is me thy God. So make them one and go and save your mortal race by telling them the truth and wake them up, bringing them nosis. That's what we just basically read here essentially if you break it down, right? Pretty freaking amazing.
And he says, "He had taught me the nature of the all and of the loftiest vision. And I began to preach unto men the beauty of devotion and of nosis.
Oh ye people, earthborn folk, ye who have given yourselves to drunkenness and sleep and ignorance of God. Be sober now. Cease from your surfit surf serpent. I don't know what that means.
Um, cease to be glamored by irrational sleep. And when they heard, they came with one accord. Whereon I say, ye earthborn folk, why have you given yourselves up to death while yet ye have the power of sharing deathlessness?
Repent, oh ye who walk with error, arm in arm, and make of ignorance the sharer of your board.
Get ye out from the light of darkness, and take your part in deathlessness.
Forsake destruction. And some of them with jests upon their lips departed from me. Just mean they're making fun of him.
They're mocking him, abandoning themselves unto the way of death. Others intreated to be taught, casting themselves before my feet.
But I made them arise and I became a leader of the race towards home.
Teaching the words or it says here the logi because that's the original word there in Greek. Teaching them the words of the logos how and in what way they shall be saved.
I sowed in them the words or the logoy of wisdom of deathless water were they given to drink. And when evening was come and all suns beams began to set, I bade them all give thanks to God. And when they had brought to an end the giving of their thanks, each man returned to his own resting place. But I recorded in my heart man shepherd's benefaction. And with my every hope fulfilled more than rejoiced, for body's sleep became the soul's awakening and closing of the eyes. true vision pregnant with good my silence and the utterance of my logos of my word beginning of good things. All this befell me from my mind that is the divine pymander the logos of all masterhood by whom being God inspired I came unto the plain of truth. Wherefore with all my soul and strength thanksgiving give I unto the father of God. And then there's an entire paragraph where he gives praises to God.
So I'm going to skip it and read the final part.
Except my reasons, offerings pure from soul and heart, for I stretched up to thee, oh thou unutterable, unspeakable, whose name not but the silence can express.
Give ear to me who pray that I may never of nosis fail. Nosis, which is our common beings nature, and fill me with thy power, and with this grace of thine, that I may give the light to those in ignorance of the race. My brethren and thy sons, for this cause I believe, and I bear witness. I go to life and light.
Blessed art thou, oh father, thy man would wholly be as thou art holy, even as thou gave him thy full authority to be. So this is pretty freaking incredible. This is like the initiation.
This is the first text of the corpus hermeticum. There are 17. Um, and this story is again written in the first century. And look that up for me if you don't mind. Type the you could do divine pymander.
Uh, look up when this text is attributed to be written because that is kind of important historically, right?
This is the initiation or the enlightenment or the nosis of the sage of the perennial philosophy Hermes Trismagist giving his uh his story literally. This was not written pen to paper by him because it was only probably in the first century and he existed if he literally was a human being which I believe he was. uh it's saying that originally composed between the second and third centuries published in English in 1650.
What I saw said it was written in the first century. But either way, it's still almost 2,000 years ago this was written.
Um giving you what? Okay, here's why this is so profoundly important. Because whoever wrote this, it doesn't matter because this was written from this from somebody in this tradition.
>> Another source saying between first and third, >> right? Right. So again, it doesn't really matter what actual human being wrote this because this was written by someone who is initiated into these mysteries, who's giving you the entire philosophy of the tradition which was orally passed down for thousands of years. We know that is a very real thing because that still exists in things such as Sufiism, such as you know um indigenous tribes of America, South America, uh um it goes on and on. You know, the Vic tradition was passed down orally for thousands of years before they wrote, you know, the the Bavad Gita, the the the Vadas, any of that stuff that was literally orally passed down for thousands of years. This is a thing.
This is a this is a a real very real thing in human history where you know traditions are passed down orally.
This text is so important because it's telling you the crux of the esoteric view of God.
That you know you are a microcosm of God. That God is good. that that to to experience God like he said to achieve nosis is to to to uh to become one with that logos within you which is to become pious to become pure. He said the only way to express an utterance of God in its truest form is through silence. That God is so ineffable and so magnificent and so profound that you can't even utter what it means. You can't really you can't define it. It's God is ineffable, right? And he goes on to explain in the beginning part that I read that God is the light that existed be I think I may have skipped this part.
I I left out the cosmogenesis which was the mythological creation of the world.
Right? It expresses that that the the man shepherd, he says, "I am the light that existed before the be the beginning of the beginning." And then it goes on to show the sineu darkness that's like a coiled up serpent and how it comes from God and that the material world emanates. And it goes on to describe a lady. It doesn't say she's a shining lady in a white dress necessarily, but it says it's the earth and that we're born from her. I did skip all that part, right? But um this is the crux of the esoteric tradition. And when you when you take this purely as information and you compare it to the Gnostic tradition, when you compare it to the Platonic uh mysteries or the Orphic mysteries, etc., etc., all these traditions I named earlier, they're all one thing. This is a secret order. There there is an order. There is a secret order basically that has taught this for many thousands of years and this was not common knowledge up until very recently. I remember as early as 2012 was the first time anyone and it's because of the you know the creation and the development of the internet too right because of the internet we can all dig into this stuff but uh this was not like very common knowledge unless you were something like a Freemason or you know a Rosacrusian or you knew somebody who was into this stuff and you asked them questions like nobody knew about this this is this is new essentially to to mainstream consciousness Right. I mean, when did you hear about hermeticism?
5 years ago when you met me.
>> When when did our episode come out?
>> Yeah. I mean, it was just about 5 years ago. It was in that first year we covered it.
>> Well, I mean, at least a little bit.
>> You didn't meet me 5 years ago, but my point was when we started show five years ago. Yeah.
>> Yeah. That's what I mean.
>> Nobody's talking about that. Have you ever in your life heard anybody just talking about this?
>> No. No. No. And and this is I I attribute that hermeticism episode a lot to my personal journey in all of this.
Yeah. And and the thing is like the listeners at home are like, "Well, I know about this."
>> Well, yeah, you're researchers. Duh.
You're listening to our show. You're listening to other people's show. You're hungry for freaking knowledge. Pat yourself on the back. Like go go go to anyone else that's not like ever talking about any of this stuff. Just go up to a co-orker. Go up to anybody and be like, "What you know about her medicine, bro?"
and they'll be like uh you know they this is this this is so common knowledge to us now but we we have to understand like the profound nature of how really simple it is to just go read the freaking texts oursel I remember being 18 19 20 21 22 all the way up until you know I started the show and really started digging deep I was like I want to know what they're about the Freemasons believe what do the so- and so believe you remember being at that point at some point like what do they what what's the secret dude it's right here this is this is exactly what they believe this is what they read from this is what the entire alchemy movement came from was the corpus hermeticum and the emerald tablet which there's a little bit of dispute about the legitimacy of that before I even cover that officially in this chapter of the show I'm going to do a little more digging on that because it's very interesting and uh Isaac Newton did a translation Helena Blovki did a translation. We covered it years ago. But I want to do a little more digging onto the historicity of that actual document. But the Emerald Tablet and the Corpus Hermeticum is literally like the crux of the esoteric movement for like the last thousand years. uh plus the Nagamadi library, which is why I've been doing this series because I want people to be able to hear these words for themselves and see that there's a legitimacy to uh you know what we've been saying all along about like how to connect with orbs. It's about being like Christ. But no, no, no. I don't mean being a Christian because if you're paying attention like even in this document, they're not saying you got to you got to, you know, worship a they're okay.
you maybe you do have to worship a certain way, right? Which is just be good, humble your heart. But they're not saying like you have to believe a certain thing and profess a certain doctrine over and over in this corpus hermeticum document which was potentially potentially older than the actual gnostic library potentially. Right?
And that's a whole other such an important thing that I open the show with how they were connected the Gnostic movement and the you know the the hermetic tradition because they're one and they just they popped up in different countries in different millennia but they're one. This is a this is a transmission of the same perennial philosophy that came from Atlantis right before the flood. Okay.
So what they're telling you is he just said it. Let me let me read it again because it was right there at the end.
He said, uh, well, dang. Now I'm like, what if I can't find it? He said, the common thing is is nosis. Like the thing that, you know, I don't know if I'll be able to find it because I'm looking at this and it's actually a lot of words, but he said the thing that's common to our race is nosis. That that is like our god-given birthright. And he keeps saying, you earthborn folk, you earthborn folk, let's go home. basically let's wake up and go home. Do you remember we did the stranger episode and it's like the Naggamati texts that one of them was attributed to Jesus Christ being in the desert tempted by Satan and he's like you know basically telling him I'm not of this place. I'm not of the human race. I'm from an I'm a stranger here. I'm I want to go home. So something that the perennial philosophy has always taught is that earth is not our home. that our true home is the spirit world and we have to reject the earth. We and that doesn't mean like you gotta physically like no you can't talk to your aunt or uncle anymore. You can't talk to your friend. It doesn't mean that. It just means you have to seek the spiritual. You have to integrate it into your life. You can't reject it. You you you will be unhappy.
You will be miserable. You will fail.
You will be unhappy. You will uh have a base lower understanding of life itself, reality, consciousness. You'll be in denial. You'll have all these fractured different versions of yourself. If you don't walk the way of the spirit that, you know, the perennial philosophy and reject the truth, you're going to you're just not ever going to be truly happy because you're not living in truth. You're injecting a virus into your consciousness which is deception which is lies which is uh ignorance. You know it's like while you're here in the physical world you're asleep but you know even the Buddhists would tell you that letting go of your attachment to desires is the only program to deal with human suffering.
It's all around the world. The same concept that the physical world is suffering. It's not your true form. You suffer here because it's like you're you're halfbaked.
Your true nature is invisible. It's within your mind and it's in another place. And being here is being asleep to that. So waking up here means you're being asleep to the physical. They just said that in the document if you caught that. You go to sleep to the physical and you wake up to the spiritual. So it's like that nosis that that moment where you realize that the spiritual world is the true world. So in order to make contact with that world to have orb encounters to have revelations from the divine all this stuff you have to purify yourself. You have to walk the spiritual path. You have to seek the mysteries. I can say it over and over and over. I don't want to spin in circles but I do genuinely really enjoy talking about this stuff. Right. Um, I don't know. I mean, I don't want to whip a dead horse, but you know, this this is the way. It's it's it's the knowledge. It's the nosis. I guess the reason I was saying all that is because the ancients knew that it wasn't about saying a certain magical line to go to heaven and then you can, you know, party all night on a Saturday and then wake up and be sitting in church tired because grandma told you to go and you're saved and, you know, once saved always saved like my good old Baptist granny said.
Like that's not how it works. You have to actually walk the path. You have to actually do the work. You have to strive. You have to aspire. You have to get up and you have to discipline yourself. You have to humble yourself.
You have to seek the spirit. You have to uh achieve the stillness of mind to hear the word of God. You have to open that psychic aperture within your mind uh through there there's a million ways to skin a cat. You know, there's there's all kinds of meditation practices that we can go into more later. We could do We should do an episode on that. We should do We should do a more That's a good idea. We should do a more in-depth episode. I would love to talk more about like hemispheric synchronization. Maybe not next time because I want to stay on this hermetic thread, but I want to put that in my back pocket. I want to talk more about like hemispheric synchronization.
Um, you know, and and ways that you can establish that that uh psychic state of being. You can call it whatever you want. I don't care. It's one basic truth which is that when you establish that hemispheric connection that that psychic aperture opens up and then you know you want to continue to to take steps to be in this state which is why Alex and I all those months back were talking about this rule of life thing because we have these friends of the Knights Templar and they're like you okay great now if you want to know what knights are all about in the modern era it's you know we don't swing swords around anymore because we're not in medieval times having to go to war we We the discipline in nowadays is find time in your busy life to pray and to meditate. Um see if you can squeeze in five minutes a day. Start there. Don't be so hard on yourself. You know comparison is the thief of joy. You can't be critical of yourself. You can't be critical of others. You can't look at anyone's else's path but your own. See if you can establish a daily routine of like five minutes of prayer and meditation. Uh, choose choose your weapon. Do you want to do the Lord's Prayer? Do you want to do some sort of mantra? Do you want to do some flower of life mandala? Whatever. Just whatever tried and trueue method that works for you to establish, as the Monroe Institute calls it, hemisync or hemispheric synchronization.
If you think about like in ancient times, they would show you Osiris or like even the pharaohs when they're mummified, they would have their their hands on each shoulder. Well, that was an ancient kinesthetic anchor to establish, you know, the the hemispheric synchronization. So, a lot of this mudra stuff of the ancient traditions and certain breathing patterns or they would have ritualistic drum circles, that's all like the same exact science that the Monroe Institute uses with him. It's all the same thing. It's tomato tomato. It's just ways to cause the brain to go into that whole brain psychic state. And it's in this psychic state. That's what the ancients were were were doing. That's what a lot of these esoteric practices really are. And I was actually quite shocked after uh getting so involved with the Monroe Institute and going through four or five of their programs and having my mind completely blown open to the reality of psychic consciousness and how that works and how that feels and what can happen and then coming into contact with real esoteric tradition about actually a year ago this month and then uh being in daily communication with them because I'm a nerd about this stuff and I long story short they explained to me a a lot of the ancient uh hemispheric bridge practices that they would do to to achieve the same effect. And I was mind-blown. I was oh my god, it makes sense. That's why they did mudras in the east. In the west, they had mudras. You see all these depictions of Christ, you know, with these certain hand traditions and I mean uh positions and and whatever because they're establishing a kinesthetic anchor point to a certain state of consciousness. And the monks would recite these lurggical prayers and they would do these particular hand positions and etc. as they're depicted in uh you know medieval and renaissance art because they are establishing that psychic state to receive messages from God, right? So it's incredible stuff when you really go deep into this experientially which I think that we should do that. We should do some sort of uh I mean I kind of just did it. Do you think we could get a whole We We We'll see what people say in the comments if they want to hear an episode about uh hemispheric synchronization. But um anyway, like I said, I don't I don't want to beat a dead horse, so I'm pretty much going to end there. I do want to say um I am back into the swing of doing my a perfect segue to bring this up. I'm doing my Monroe Institute outreach courses now.
I'm back into it. I took six months getting ahead of myself. I took six months off because of uh you know I I had a pretty um traumatic birth. A few of those months was preparing for the birth and then we were shocked with like how tough it was and I had to kind of like help my wife get back to health for a while and just kind of reorient myself in life. But I'm back on the grind now.
I'm very excited about running my programs. Um I'm going to try to do at least one a month. Um right now they're virtual. I will see about um that for now if I want to do any in person in the near future, but I think for virtual it's it's a little easier for everybody at the moment because people don't have to buy flights. They don't have to get hotels. It's it's just a little more costefficient for everybody. But who knows if there's a demand for in person, you know, I would not be opposed to that. I just need a little more time to cook. So check me out at ryanbledso official.com.
that has my calendar for my uh Monroe Institute programs. And I very much love doing this. Um it just got to a point where it wasn't enough for me anymore to just talk at a camera um about these things, but I felt this deep calling in my life that I had to somehow help people go deeper and have like profound experiences spiritually or with consciousness or whatever. And we were doing that with Skywatches and we still do those and it's a wonderful fantastic feeling. But this helps me to go even deeper because they're kind of small intimate classes of like 10 to 15 people and I get to like really really facilitate some deep stuff happening. It it kind of feels like magic to me. I I not not in a literal way but like the things that happen with the participants. It's like it's just like that magical feeling that something amazing is unfolding. Um and and I just think it's good vibes all around. So if if you want to do that with me, I'm open now. And you know, looking forward to it. Love you guys very much. Thank you for listening this week. And do you want to add anything, Alex?
>> Studio looks great.
>> It does, doesn't it?
>> Yeah. Great job. Way to break it in.
>> Yeah, it looks really good. I'm I'm very happy with it. I'm very very happy with it. And you know, just hang with us and we're cooking up something new. Bye, guys.
Weird things happen in the backyard of Lo houses. Lo houses are so weird. So weird.
