[00:00:04]Hi and welcome to Add More Zest. My name's Rebecca and it is time for a Friday whip and waffle. Uh I hope everybody is doing well. Uh so I do have just a slightly bigger than normal section this morning. uh because I haven't had chance at any point this week to get another section done. Um because some of you will already know due to residing in the UK, others have probably heard, but we have had a heatwave this week. Um, and for anybody that knows the UK weather, um, a heat wave here is quite often nice but not nice.

[00:01:02]So, it is nice to have the sunshine and the nicer weather. Um, however, heatwave territory in the UK is not fun. it is just far too humid. So actually trying to get things done um you know that need doing in life in general um is a lot harder than usual. Uh, so I am actually filming this on Friday morning.

[00:01:40]Um, because it is finally I think today the high is supposed to be 21 which makes it a very nice reasonable summer day.

[00:01:54]More than happy with that type of weather. It means I can actually get on with life, uh, function like a normal human being and get a work day done without having to, you know, without trying to find somewhere with air conditioning. So, yeah. Um, I have pl I've had plans to film this whip and waffle since Wednesday. Uh but quite oft quite frankly it just wasn't happening. It was far too warm. Uh it wasn't even a matter of get it done early in the day and you'll be fine. It was just Yeah, it was just far far far too warm. Um a lot of things that I've been trying to get I've been trying to get things done this week. Uh but everything's just been slower. So there is that. But heyi ho. Um, I did get the shop rearranged on Saturday with Megan. Um, so we did get all the furniture rearranged and then Sunday I spent the day pottering um because it was a lot warmer on the Sunday. So, I sort of spent the day just doing a bit and then cooling down for a bit and then doing a bit more.

[00:03:26]Um, yeah, it was just a lot warmer. And then come bank holiday Monday, which we had this week, was pretty much one of the hottest days this week. So, I did a lot of nothing.

[00:03:45]It was just far far too warm. Um, but the shop is looking fantastic. I am absolutely loving the new setup. Um, which is good.

[00:04:02]It's It's taken things that worked from last time I rearranged uh but then made even better the things that weren't quite working as well. So, I mean, I was impressed with the move last time and how much it helped. Um but this time it feels like what's been moved about has helped even more.

[00:04:30]Um, which yeah is fantastic news cuz it's always the little things like that that help. Um, there's a few things that I have to do just a little bit differently. Um, we're not even talking big things. We're just talking minute things while I'm working. Um, that will just take a little bit to sort of get used to just doing it a bit differently.

[00:04:54]Um but yeah, all is good.

[00:05:01]Um the weather now has well apart from today that I say is supposed to be 21 um which is a very reasonable temperature um and a nice day. I think then the rain is back. Uh how much it just says it's pretty much raining every day. Whether that be early hours of the morning, late evening, or whether that be actually throughout the day, I guess time will tell.

[00:05:34]Um, but yeah, standard British weather goes from 30°, well, in fact, I think it hit 32 or 33 on Monday, um, goes down to 15 or 16 next week.

[00:05:54]Welcome to the UK weather. Um, so yeah, I am glad that it is cooling down in time for June Waffle. So, June waffle starts on Monday. Uh, I am hoping to get the first one filmed today.

[00:06:14]Um, I'm hoping it doesn't end up getting too muggy and stuffy in here. So hopefully I can film the first one so I'm not filming it in the morning the day of um and I can actually get myself sort of a schedule with the filming because it ends up being pretty much filming every single day. Um cuz of course there's a video every single day.

[00:06:44]Um, so yeah, it'll take a bit of scheduling to try and make sure that I'm not falling behind. And let's hope we don't have another heat wave within June.

[00:06:57]Or if we do, I'm prepared for it and actually get filming before it kicks in.

[00:07:04]Um, because that will make life so much easier. Uh but yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting um some diamond paintings done because while I have done I have done one diamond painting this week, I basically was able to finish um the second small painting that we are releasing this month. I was actually able to get my sample one done. So I've done the samples for both which is what I aim to do each month.

[00:07:45]Um, so yeah, I've managed to get that done, which is um, great. I haven't managed to do anything else. Uh, I actually charged up my Kindle and picked up my Kindle again, so I've actually quite been enjoying just reading books. I do have an audio book on the go, but I've also had a reading book on the go. The only thing is with a reading book, I'm not very good at putting it down.

[00:08:15]Uh, I am very much a keep going until it's practically finished. So, I've had to be quite strict with myself in relation to that because, as I say, I'm just awful. I'm awful for staying up till 2 o'clock in the morning reading a book because I'm hooked. Um whereas an audio book tells me the amount of time.

[00:08:36]Um so I'm a lot more realistic with myself. Um and know that I would potentially be up until 2:00 and therefore that's not a good idea and I don't do it. Um but when I'm reading a book it's like oh it won't be long and I just keep going.

[00:08:58]I don't know if anybody else is like that with books. Uh, and it becomes a bit dangerous if you're getting, you know, enthralled in a book. Um, but yeah, that is that is me. Um, in relation to comments and questions, there are quite a few comments from last week that do ask me questions for June waffle. So, thank you so much for that.

[00:09:28]I will be starting on those um tomorrow or sorry, not tomorrow, Monday for you guys. I will be starting on those um so yeah, but I'm not going to start them today. Um, so Jess Diamond Paints, she has left a list of questions, but then she's also said, she said she is all set for June waffle.

[00:10:03]Uh, she said she'll be doing the ornamented day from the 20 uh 25 AMZ advent. So, it seems like there are a few people that are getting their advent paintings done and ready, which is nice to see. Uh, because I really enjoyed having them up and displayed last year. Um, and yeah, it was just it was a nice little countdown to Christmas while viewing the paintings that I'd completed back in June. I think June or July. I actually completed mine uh so that I would have the display set.

[00:10:49]Um she says that's 24 days right there.

[00:10:54]Um so yeah, a nice good chunk, which means if you have some days that you don't get to do it, you don't feel guilty because you're still going to finish. In effect, you have six days that you could potentially not get one done. Um, but you can always do something else if you do manage to get things done each day. So, she says then she's going to be working on some of um our small canvases for the other six days. So, there we go.

[00:11:30]Lots and lots of options when it comes to that. Um, that's why I'm kind of happy that my paint gem minis. I will actually have completed all of them by the end of the 30 days. Um, and will in effect have got some extra ones done in the fact of I'll still have my temperature chart done, which means I won't be behind.

[00:11:56]Um, and I'll get some more sections of this heaven and earth design done as well, so that that keeps moving. Um because I would love to get this finished. Um and yeah, move on to my next painting.

[00:12:16]Um which is already earmarked for my next big project painting. Um yeah, be nice to sort of get to another to do another high color painting. Oh, I don't want that one. I want those. There we go. We've got lots of black in this section, which of course will keep me busy.

[00:12:44]Um, so Jess said, she says it's kitted up in our trays, of course. So, you're going full add more zest for this June waffle. Love to hear it. Um, she says she's excited to get started. She says she has also found a perfect little flip chart style photo display for each day.

[00:13:13]So interesting fact, we did initially plan to do our dis our advent display on a little flip book. Um well, our original thought was magnets.

[00:13:29]Um, however, due to the price of magnets and the amount that would be needed, it was extremely high, far too high to be cost effective.

[00:13:43]Our second option was a flip book and we did actually put together a flip book.

[00:13:51]However, the weight of it and stuff wasn't as nice, which is why we ended up, it was the weight and the bulk of the diamond paintings that made us switch to the display stand, which ended up working out really, really well. Um, especially with being able to find a pouch as well that fit everything so nicely um that it could get tucked away with your Christmas decorations, which at the end of the day, most of us do.

[00:14:20]is took them all away. Um, so yeah, we ended up on those. Uh, she says she's going to share in the group at the end of the event, which will be perfect. That reminds me, I do need to sort out Facebook posts for the event. Um, I think I forgot one year to get them all scheduled and ready to go up. So, I'll need to work on that at some point. today.

[00:14:52]Uh, but I have I have a few videos to film today. I have the shop launch video to film as well. I have photographs to take for said shop launch. Um, I have this video. I have the first June waffle. And I also need to edit, upload, and sort all of those as well.

[00:15:13]So, that'll definitely keep me busy.

[00:15:17]That's for sure. Right, let me just get this bit surrounding here.

[00:15:27]Just trying to get this this bit just so I don't end up filling in those so I can keep going in a line.

[00:15:38]Uh, Lady Dax, she says, well, yes, she says the decision is made. Uh June Waffle she says will be the mini advent diamond paintings from 2025 for herself too. She says she can't believe that we are almost halfway through the year already which yeah I agree this year has been flying by. Um there's a few months that I feel like I completely missed. Like where did April go?

[00:16:15]Like I don't think April I mean I know it's one day shorter.

[00:16:19]Um but I feel like it it just disappeared. Um it completely went. I don't know where it went. I just know it went far too quickly.

[00:16:32]But yeah, this year is flying. Um she said yes. She says all the M&S meals she put in the freezer she says were good for freezing. Um, she says, "So that was a relief." She says, "The macaroni and bacon and the spag bowl were really very nice." Uh, now looking forward, she says, to trying the others I got. Yes, they are really, really nice meals. I will say they are delightful. And to be honest, I think I just read the front of them wrong and read them as not suitable for freezing when they were. Unless there really is one of them that's not suitable for freezing. Um, I'll have to try and check when I go back to Marks and Spencers and get any more if there is maybe one that you can't freeze. And that could be the only one I looked at.

[00:17:35]and I've just taken it as they all can't be frozen. Um, I mean, I'm glad now that I know what is the truth.

[00:17:44]Um, because I think it would be quite handy to be able to pick up quite a few and potentially freeze some. Uh, I just need to one get some of the kids stuff or get the kids to check what's in the freezer and whether it actually needs to be there. Uh because I don't ever really go in the freezer. It's pretty much always the kids with something they can throw in the air fryer.

[00:18:12]So, I need to check whether they actually um you know have not got something in there that has been festering for years and actually needs to be removed.

[00:18:25]Um, and then yeah, potentially get some more that I can freeze.

[00:18:34]Oh, I am kind of glad that most of this little extra column is black. Makes it so much easier when it comes to doing my next colors and making sure I don't miss anything.

[00:18:48]um because yeah, it would just be so much easier to not have to keep checking it all the time.

[00:19:00]But let's get some of these done.

[00:19:05]Um Lady Dax also says, she says it's what's called Sod's law. She says, um the sun is going to be shining, she says. And would you believe she is currently on an antibiotic where you have to protect your skin from it. She says, "Go figure." Oh, goodness me. I don't know how that would have worked in the recent heatwave we've had. Uh, I do know that partly as a result of that heat wave, but also memories from past heat waves, we have been looking into getting an air conditioner in the conservatory.

[00:19:51]Uh, because it will also do heat. So, it will also be very good come winter um for us. So to potentially heat the conservatory as well as cool it. Um but yeah, like we do have a portable air conditioning unit. Um but they are heavy. Uh and more often than not once it's gone upstairs, the last thing we want to do is carry it back down.

[00:20:24]Uh we did used to have two. One is a really really old one.

[00:20:30]Um, and we actually bought a second unit, but unfortunately it um it stopped working last year and we just hadn't got round to replacing it. So now we're looking at well, if we're going to have to replace, let's just get a fitted split unit that is much more efficient um and will also heat come winter. So, be a lot better in general as a whole.

[00:21:05]Okay, let's get this one filled in or finished up. And then now is where we do a bit of sliding back and forth. So, I'm going to fill in the one that's up here.

[00:21:29]So, I'm going to mark that one, but then I'm going to move back to my normal for you and then I can just do my normal section.

[00:21:46]I say try not to miss those other ones.

[00:21:49]In fact, I'm tempted to just do them singly, but we'll see how we go. I'll do them singly if I end up missing them or forgetting them. Um but yeah, that is that is a bit sucks to be fair. Um especially if you enjoy the sun though I much prefer sitting in the shade. I'm much more of it in the shade or to be honest not even necessarily sitting in it. Um, I'm perfectly fine walking, going about my day in the sun, but I don't particularly want to sit in it and sweat.

[00:22:29]I'd rather be sweating because I'm doing something than because I'm sat in the sun, but that's just me.

[00:22:38]Um, Ellie, she says, "Hi, Rebecca and Zesties." She says, "Okay." She says she has had enough of the sun now. She says she's a 25 minute drive from me. She says um she says she was watching when I did the vlog and I boxed her wonderful goodies up. She says how you would say where it was going down. She says to the left or to the right. Um I'm not sure to be honest. My geography is not very good at all and I can't remember which area you were in. Um, but yeah, sometimes I get it I get it wrong and it literally could not be down in the country. I'm pretty good with some areas, but with other areas I'm it's a really gray area if I don't go looking it up. Um yeah, and I don't actually remember which way um a town potentially is or a county even.

[00:23:51]Okay, I did look up that symbol and there was none in the bit next to it, but I can't remember on the next two symbols.

[00:24:02]Oh, we have got one of the next symbol on here.

[00:24:08]And then it's the question mark and the arrow. In fact, do you know what? I am going to do it because as annoying as it is to mark one of each, it is actually I think more annoying to keep moving my tablet from one way to the next.

[00:24:37]So, I am I'm just going to take the time to just do these four because then I don't have to think about them anymore. See, look. Now, done.

[00:24:54]Go back to where I was and I can just plot on as normal.

[00:25:02]Um, she says she bets that Megan was saying are a little a week a little easier and a bank holiday. She says before the house purchase.

[00:25:16]Um, and the madness begins. She says, "Oh no." She says, "Mom has a brainwave.

[00:25:24]Will it only take a day?"

[00:25:28]The part that Megan was involved in did only take a day on the shop revamp. Um, there was potential that I was going to ask for help with some other little bits. Um, but I ended up actually getting those sorted. Um, but you will be able to see that in the vlog on the shop move when it comes up. Um though there was one day was completely rubbish at filming, but I've just put the footage on my computer so I haven't yet had chance to go through it. Okay, why is this not matching up?

[00:26:10]Because no, it is there on supposed to be. But then that is supposed to be three. Oh, it's cuz that one's in the wrong place.

[00:26:29]See, these numbers confuse me more often than not. Okay, there we go. That's right.

[00:26:40]It is getting warmer in this room already. It's not getting stifling yet, but it's definitely getting warmer.

[00:26:50]Um, and it's confusing me a little bit, I think.

[00:26:54]just sort of yeah can feel muddling in my brain. Um she says the thought of advent she says really makes her excited.

[00:27:09]Uh she says she is 58 this year. She says and she much prefers the buildup to Christmas um than the day. She says just because she says it feels like so much pressure.

[00:27:25]Um, and then sneeze and it's gone.

[00:27:29]So true. Uh, she says she can't believe it's a year now that you kept that big secret from us. She says and went to Australia.

[00:27:39]Yes. Now I did think about that last week when I asked for questions for June Waffle. I thought, are people going to think I'm disappearing again? Uh, but just to assure you, no, I'm not.

[00:27:53]I'm not disappearing again. Um, I seriously doubt that I will unless there is some sort of specific reason. Um, it will not be a normal conscious choice to go to Australia in June. Again, I much prefer the sort of October time, which is their spring.

[00:28:18]Um, that is a much nicer time to go to Australia for me.

[00:28:23]Um, so yeah, unless unless there's a specific occasion, uh, June is not going to be my go-to time to go to Australia. So, there's no sneaking it in this time. Um, plus more often than not, I will probably tell you guys it was only because it was a complete surprise for my dad's 70th. Uh, and my mom watches my YouTube. So, um, I basically just didn't want them to know. That was the whole idea behind it was it would be a big surprise.

[00:29:04]Um, she also says she says she was watching listening slashwatching while eating.

[00:29:13]She says, "And Dean said something and she went to move her earphone and touched it and changed the YouTube channel."

[00:29:22]She says, "Thanks for keeping me company." She says, "From a Oh, you're so welcome.

[00:29:30]Uh, I'm so glad you're enjoying it." And I'm guessing you're find you found your way back to my channel uh based on the fact that you were able to comment.

[00:29:42]But yeah, it's it's weird that sometimes you have these headphones that will do all sorts of things if you tap them in a certain way. Um but I don't know if you're like me, a lot of the time I don't figure out the way to change and move things.

[00:29:59]so I don't end up using those features and then it does end up confusing me when I accidentally tap them uh and how to sort of get them back. Uh I know trying to get to the library on my Kindle the other day was driving me up the wall because it just wasn't where I expected it to be when I touched the screen. Um I really want my old old type Kindle back, the really old one with buttons on the side.

[00:30:29]Um they there is one I don't think it's a current Kindle, but I think you can still get refurbished older ones um that have buttons that has like a thicker bar and a button to press, but it's still not the same. I've actually tried it.

[00:30:47]Megan has it and I've tried it and I just I just don't like it. I just want them to bring out a Kindle, whether it be a paper white or not. Uh, but I want them to bring a Kindle back.

[00:31:04]They can still have touchscreen, but not for turning the pages. I want just those two simple buttons for going forward a page and back a page on each side. So, it doesn't matter what hand I'm holding it in.

[00:31:20]I can just turn the page without having to move my hands all the time.

[00:31:27]Um, I'd love it if they brought that back. Sorry, side note. Don't even really know where that came from.

[00:31:36]But yeah, bring me back the old style basic Kindle. Please, by all means, give it extra features, but just keep the ones that I want.

[00:31:50]which is the ability to turn the button without having to touch the screen.

[00:31:56]Um because it can just be so frustrating.

[00:32:00]Um even just going to, you know, wipe a bit of dust off the front of the screen or maybe try and get rid of a fly that's one of those little midgetify flies that's decided to land on your screen and trying to get rid of it and it turns pages. Oh, drives me poor. Um, okay.

[00:32:20]Anyway, Kindle rant side note gone.

[00:32:24]Let's have a look at the next next one.

[00:32:28]Um, Basing Girl Crafts. She says she too is going to finish her diamond painting advent calendar. She says she has only got a few left to finish, which is good going. Uh, she says, "But her crafting room is a mess."

[00:32:49]I feel like it always can get to that point with craft rooms, especially if you've been busy in there. Um, things can just get chaotic.

[00:33:02]Um, there's nothing like a good source out of it to get things back on track.

[00:33:09]Um, she says she's been moving shelving and totes around as well as other goodies.

[00:33:16]Ooh, that sounds like fun. See, you've been having a rearrange like me. I love a good rearrange.

[00:33:23]Sometimes there's still chaos left over.

[00:33:27]Uh, it actually took a bit cuz on the Monday, as well as relaxing on the Monday, I did have to sort out all the stuff that I'd brought in the house that needed to go to other places.

[00:33:38]So, I did have to do quite a bit of that on the Monday as well, but I did didn't take as long. Um, mainly because I had a couple of people's help that were actually in the house.

[00:33:53]Um, but yeah, it there's definitely a a a point of chaos before there is a point of order.

[00:34:02]Um, she says instead of them being strung all over the house, she says driving her nuts, she says they are all going to be in one room, which is again fantastic. I love it when you can get a bit of organization and get all of the same type sort of together. Um, she says, uh, have to seal the floor and then tile it, she says.

[00:34:30]And then the finishing touch will be a futon, she says. So if she gets tired or needs a break from the world, she says she has her own space that she can close off, which sounds absolutely delightful.

[00:34:48]Um, she says, plus she says she has a few other Admiral Zest paintings in her stash.

[00:34:58]um that she can work on. She says, "Thank you for all the amazing things you think of for Advent." She says, "And all the goodies for throughout the year." Uh she says, "You truly have an amazing mind."

[00:35:14]Oh, thank you. It definitely gets tested at points, that's for sure. Um but yeah, thank you.

[00:35:26]Um Leslie, she says, "Hi, Rebecca." She says she just wanted to let me know uh that she got the diamond drills um on on that day, the 22nd.

[00:35:42]Uh she says, "And she wants to thank you." She says she's sorry for being a pain in the bum, which you're not. It's completely fine. Uh and I completely get it. Um, she says she loves my diamond painting picture. She says she's it's coming along great.

[00:36:01]Um, nice and colorful. She says, "Anyway," she says, "love to you, um, your family," she says. And your family, she says, "And please keep safe and well." Yourself to Leslie. It's lovely to hear from you. Hang on, that's not where I need to go. That's where I need to go.

[00:36:22]Nearly nearly put that one in the wrong place, but pulled it back.

[00:36:28]This is when it gets hard, when it gets quite scattery with where things are going and it's just trying to make sure that I get the right place. But we're getting there. We're getting there.

[00:36:44]Oh, I thought I heard one. I heard one fall out of the tray, but I found it.

[00:36:53]Okay, three more to go. Let's get some of these gaps filled in.

[00:36:59]Um Leslie, she also says, she says, "Can she ask me something?" She says, "Where did you get your gorgeous diamond painting picture from?" She says, "Because it is very beautiful."

[00:37:17]Uh, she says, "Anyway, thank you for answering my questions about the diamond drills. Uh, love to all. Have a great bank holiday weekend." She says, "And enjoy the weather." Anyway, a thank you, Leslie. Um, the Supernova. So, it's called Supernova, the big sun painting that I've been working on, which is my what I call my standard whip, which is just my, you know, what everybody else would probably call their only whip uh as their current painting.

[00:37:50]For me, it is my standard work in progress. Um, that is called Supernova and it is from Dreamer Designs.

[00:38:01]Um, it's not one that I ever bought like when it released. In fact, I don't think I ever pick up many from Dreamer Designs on release day. I often go there for a bit of a mooch when I fancy looking for something. Um, but it is um it was one I saw I think in their Facebook group. somebody had completed it or was working on it um and just showed an update picture and I was like that is absolutely gorgeous. So off I toddled and picked it up. Um and yeah, it's really really nice to work on. I do love to work on nice bright paintings.

[00:38:52]Um so yeah, that's always always fun for me. I like the nice bright color changes that come along with um so yeah, it's from Dreamer Designs who really do have some an amazing amazing amazing pictures um and images um and some of them are really beautiful.

[00:39:20]So, it's always good to I I think to have a nice little mooch over there every now and then to see if anything catches my eye. At the moment, I'm trying to focus on that was the wrong one. Uh, I'm trying to focus on completing paintings that I've got in my stash. Um, so I try not to go just for a brows, but okay. Of course, the one pair of tweezers I managed to pull out straight away is a set with a dull end. So, that one needs to go in there.

[00:40:03]I don't know how much of a difference it will make, but it annoys me if I know I've done it and it wasn't on purpose.

[00:40:11]There we go. But yeah, the first set I pulled out was never going to get that diamond out of there.

[00:40:18]Okay, so I've just done those and then I've actually done the right one and now we can try and get the rest.

[00:40:35]Um, oh, that's a set of June waffle questions.

[00:40:44]Um, L, she says, "Hi, Rebecca and Zesties." She says, "So many plans and things to do uh during this waffle."

[00:40:55]Yes, I do find a June waffle with the nicer weather and the sun often gives us a lot more ideas of things to do and things to sort of clean uh you know, clean up. That's it. Clean up, refresh ourselves.

[00:41:13]Um she says she hopes the west the zesty, she says, who went to IKEA had fun. She says that sounds like a great outing.

[00:41:25]Uh, yes, IKEA's Oh, IKEA is always a fun outing. Uh, even if it's just a quick dash in and out. Um, she says she's excited to see the shop revamp. She says your brain seems to have a lot of tabs open.

[00:41:43]Hang on. What am I seeing here? There.

[00:41:46]There it is. Sorry. I was trying to get that random one on its own and I wasn't finding it. And it's cuz I wasn't looking. over far enough far enough to actually get it. Um, but she says, "Your brain seems to have a lot of tabs open at once." She says, "Like tabs on a computer." She says, "In case that didn't make sense." Yes, my brain has always got tabs open. Uh, some of them are front and center, some of them are very hidden back there. uh they will all come to light eventually and every now and then I have to get out a pen and paper and try and organize my brain.

[00:42:25]Uh but she says best of luck to Megan for a move. She says she hopes that the other kids have settled into their new places okay too. Uh yes, the other two have. In fact, I think they're roping me into doing some painting tomorrow. So that should be fun. not maybe uh to get some painting done.

[00:42:47]Um and yeah, help them out. She says she thinks she's going to have to decision wheels, she says her June waffle. Uh she wants to do all the things, she says, but there are only so many hours in the day. Uh she says although she is also watching past Rebecca June do a June waffle again with paint gems. She says from 2022, she thinks. So, she says maybe she can do two waffles at once.

[00:43:19]She says she'll try to think of some questions to kick off June. Uh, but she can see someone already has given you a starting list. Um, yes, I have got a few comments with a list of questions and then I'll go into the comments that'll have a mixture of just comments and questions. Um, but we have finished the section for today. So, to move that out the way, uh, and you will still be seeing this at some point because of course there is going to be a couple of June waffle days that we're going to get some done. Uh, I need to have a look because I do want to change up my cover paper. Uh, I think I'm going to start changing up my cover paper a little bit more often on this one.
