Why do AC units suddenly stop working on the hottest day of the year?

[00:00:00]They don't suddenly stop working. The part will start all of a sudden break usually on the hottest part of the day is when the unit is under the most stress. But honestly, if you've had a weak run capacitor, >> [music] >> you could find that out before the hottest day takes place. It's able to push through on days where there's not as big of a load on the system. When it's finally hot, that weak part that's been running weak the whole time, it just can't handle it and the system shuts down. So, it it is a sudden break, but not really. It is something a lot of times that you can find well beforehand.
