All lanes reopen on Long Island Expressway in Melville after large sinkhole opens

[00:00:00]An update this noon on a sinkhole that shut down parts of the Long Island Expressway. All westbound lanes near exit 49 in Melville have now reopened.

[00:00:09]Chopper 2 over the LIE this morning where crews were finishing up repairs.

[00:00:13]The roughly 10-ft wide and 8-ft deep hole opened up Thursday afternoon. One car became stuck in the sinkhole. The Department of Transportation says the collapse appears to be linked to a nearby sewage project.
