Let us begin with the breathing.
Tonight we use the lunar breath.
It is called that because it is the breath of rest of the night.

It is very simple.
There is no retention between the inhale and the exhale.
Inhale through the nose for six counts slowly, gently, without forcing.
Exhale through the mouth for 12 counts.
Twice as long as the inhale.
That long exhale is the key to everything that comes next.
Each long exhale activates the parasympathetic nervous system.
It slows the heart rate.
It lowers brain waves from beta, the alert state of the day, into alpha and from alpha into theta.
Theta is the sacred threshold, the state between sleep and wakefulness.
In theta, the conscious mind begins to let go.
The filters of the ego loosen.
The pineal gland activates.
The quantum field becomes accessible.
12 breaths to get there.
We begin.
Inhale.

Imagine you can locate the point where your left brain and your right brain meet.
There slightly above that point there is a tiny gland the size of a grain of puffed rice surrounded by cerebral spinal fluid with micro crystals of pis electrical site inside it.

Now the whole body we are going to relax every part from the feet to the crown of the head.

As telling every part of you, you have done enough today.
Rest.
Feel the feet.
Just feel them without moving them.
the temperature, the weight, the contact with the sheets.
And now tell them they can rest.
That tonight they do not have to go anywhere.
Feel how the muscles loosen, the tendons release, the bones rest.
Move slowly up through the calves, the calf muscles, the back of the knees.
You do not control them.
You only observe them. You only give them permission.
All the tissue that walked today, that carried weight, that stayed upright, let it rest. Now, let it enter recovery mode.
Move up through the thighs, the hips, the pelvis.
Feel the weight of all of it falling onto the bed.
You are not holding it. The bed is holding it.
Your work is done for today.
The abdomen, the stomach, the solar plexus, that place just below the sternum where we store anxiety, knots, the worries of the day.
Bring a breath there gently.
without forcing.
And on the exhale, imagine that knot loosening by 1 millm.
Just 1 millm.
It does not have to disappear tonight.
Just loosen a little.
The chest, the heart.
Bring the next breath directly into the heart.
Inhale toward it.
And as you exhale, feel how the heart releases everything it carried today.
The conversations that did not go well.
The things you said and wish you had not said.
The things you did not say and wish you had said. The decisions you did not make, the fears you did not confess, the comparisons you made, the self-criticisms you repeated more than necessary.
All of that leaves with the exhale.
You do not process it now.
You do not have to solve it tonight.
What remains in the heart after releasing all of that is its natural state, deep stillness.
The entire spine from the coxix to the first vertebrae of the neck.
Each vertebrae supported by the bed.
Each disc resting.
That whole spine that held you upright throughout the day can release now.
It does not have to hold anything.
The bed takes care of it.
The shoulders, that place where we carry more than we are meant to carry, let them fall.
Even if you are already lying down, there is tension there that you do not need.
Release it.
The neck.
The jaw.
The jaw is where most people hold tension without knowing it.
Let it open slightly.
Let the teeth stop touching.
Let the tongue rest heavy on the floor of the mouth.
The whole face, the eyes, the eyebrows, the forehead, everything releases, everything rests.
There is no expression to maintain, no face to present, just being.
And we return to that point in the center of the skull.
The pineal gland still illuminated, still soft, still pulsing.
Now that the body is relaxed, that light feels clearer.
Like when you lower the volume of the outside world and can hear something very subtle that has always been there.
Now we go to the threshold.
There is a state neuroscientists call hypnogogic.
It is the exact territory between sleep and wakefulness when you are no longer fully awake but have not yet fallen asleep.
Shamans of every culture without exception have considered it sacred.
They call it the door, the threshold, the space between worlds.

The outside world is farther away.

The threshold has already been crossed.
The field is already active.
Your only work now is to disappear into sleep.
Tonight while you sleep the field works for you.
Tomorrow when you wake up you may feel something different that you cannot explain.
A lightness, a clarity, a feeling that something moved while you slept.

That is not imagination.
