Hi everyone, and welcome to Death Row Stories. I just wanted to drop a little update about um Edward Busby, who was supposed to be uh executed uh this Thursday, uh May 14th, 2026. Uh he just got a stay, so uh the execution is canceled. We are Monday morning right now, Monday 11th.
And um he was supposed to be the 608th execution of uh Texas since the end of the uh moratorium in 1976.
This is way more than any other states uh in the US. Uh Florida and Oklahoma are pretty far behind with with about a hundred and thirty um executions. So, this execution won't take place uh this Thursday.
