Sloths live in the rainforests of Central and South America. Sloths spend almost their entire lives in trees [music] hanging upside down.
Sloths sleep for 15 to 20 hours a day.

>> [music] >> Geese are mostly [music] herbivores, eating grass, grains, roots, and aquatic plants. Wild geese can live up to 15 to 25 years, and sometimes longer in captivity.
Geese are highly social and live in flocks year-round. Geese [music] communicate with honking sounds.
Hamsters' teeth [music] never stop growing, so they need to chew on wood, cardboard, or [music] special chew toys to keep them short.
Hamsters are omnivores. They eat grains, seeds, nuts, fruits, vegetables, [music] >> Black panthers, especially leopards, are known for climbing trees and dragging [music] their prey up to avoid scavengers.
The black panther is actually a melanistic black colored form of leopards or jaguars.
The black panther symbolizes strength, [music] mystery, protection, and power in many cultures.
>> [music] >> Buffalo are known for their immense strength and muscular build, making them one of the strongest land animals.
African buffalo have large curved horns that can form a boss, a shield-like structure in the middle of their head.
When one is attacked, >> [screaming] [music] >> Squirrels are rodents belonging to the family Sciuridae, which also includes [music] chipmunks, prairie dogs, and marmots.
Squirrel thinks it's being watched, it will pretend to bury a nut while actually hiding it in its mouth [music] to bury elsewhere in secret.
>> [music] >> Hippos spend about 16 hours a day submerged [music] in water to keep their massive bodies cool under the hot African sun. Hippos secrete a reddish oily substance from their skin. This blood sweat acts as a potent moisturizer, >> [music] >> Ducks are [music] aquatic birds that live near ponds, lakes, rivers, and marshes.
They belong to the Anatidae family, which also includes geese and swans.
Ducks have a special oil gland near their tails. [music] This keeps them dry and warm even when swimming all day.
Wolves are the largest members of the dog family, Canidae.
Wolves have 42 teeth built for tearing meat [music] and crushing bone.
Wolves can run at speeds of up to 37 mph, 60 km/h, when [music] chasing prey.
>> [music] >> Roosters are very protective of their flock and will fight predators or other roosters [music] to defend their hens.
Roosters play an important role [music] in farm ecosystems, helping to protect and organize the flock.
>> [music] >> Leopards are found across Africa and parts of Asia, from rainforests and mountains [music] to savannas and deserts.
Leopards' pattern of rosettes, spots shaped like roses, is unique, just [music] like a human fingerprint.

A mother will carry her single offspring on her back [music] for up to a year until it is independent.
Anteaters [music] sleep a lot, often up to 15 hours a day.
Wildebeest are herbivores. They eat [music] mostly grass and sometimes leaves. Wildebeest can run fast, [music] reaching speeds up to 50 miles per hour, 80 km per hour, to escape [music] danger.
Male wildebeest are called bulls, females are called cows, [music] and babies are called calves.
>> [music] >> Monkeys are highly intelligent and use tools, such as sticks to catch insects [music] or rocks to crack nuts.
Monkeys communicate with facial expressions, >> [music] >> body language, and sounds. Some species even groom each other to strengthen friendships and remove bugs.

Goats are raised for milk, meat, wool, and companionship.
Goats have rectangular pupils.

Despite their tough appearance, bulldogs are gentle, [music] friendly, and surprisingly brave when needed. Because of their short snouts, bulldogs can have [music] trouble breathing in hot weather.
Honey badgers are known for their problem-solving skills. They are adept at using tools. There are documented [music] cases of them rolling logs.
Honey badger's reputation is [music] well deserved. It's known for its incredibly tough and aggressive demeanor.
>> [music] >> Crocodiles are prehistoric animals.
They've been on Earth for over 200 million years, since [music] the time of the dinosaurs. Crocodiles live in rivers, lakes, swamps, and marshes in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
Crocodiles are meat-eaters. [music] >> [music] >> Hyenas are highly intelligent and [music] have complex social structures, similar to primates.
Hyenas are often thought of as scavengers, but they're actually skilled hunters, too.
>> [music] >> In fact, spotted hyenas hunt up to 70 to 80% of their food themselves.
>> [laughter] [laughter] >> Horses have lived on Earth for over [music] 50 million years. Horses belong to the Equidae family, along with zebras and donkeys.
Horses usually live for 25 to 30 [music] years, but some live even longer.

Reindeer are surprisingly vocal.
They make a variety of grunts and snorts, and a unique [music] clicking sound.
>> [music] >> Sheep are domesticated mammals that have been raised by humans for thousands of years. Sheep belong to the same family as goats, called Bovidae. A sheep's body is covered in thick wool, which keeps them warm in cold weather. Sheep have horizontal pupils, >> [music] >> giving them a wide field of vision.
>> [music] >> Deer are crepuscular, [music] meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk, and their eyes are perfectly adapted for this. Deer have a highly developed sense of smell, which is their primary means of communication. They possess seven different external glands [music] that secrete scents.
>> [music] >> Bulls are known for their muscular build, strength, and aggression. Bulls can weigh anywhere from 1,000 to 2,400 lb, 450 to 1,100 kg, depending on [music] the breed. Bulls have thick necks and powerful shoulders.

Ram is an adult male sheep, typically at least [music] 1 year old. The female is called a ewe, and a young sheep is a lamb. Rams become [music] more aggressive and active during the breeding season, known as the rut, which typically [music] occurs in the fall.
