Thousands evacuated after Southern California chemical tank leaks

[00:00:01]Officials in California now say a chemical tank is no longer in danger of exploding, though risks still remain, and thousands are still unable to return to their homes. We still have to mitigate a fire and very small explosion concern, and also a spill potential.

[00:00:21]Monday, officials said they have the upper hand on a chemical storage tank that was overheating at an aerospace facility just outside Anaheim. They say it was a faulty valve that impacted the tank's cooling system. After 4 days of uncertainty, it's great news for many of the 50,000 displaced residents.

[00:00:40]Officials say more than 60% are now able to return home. The aerospace company is now working with authorities on the ground to help with the recovery efforts.
