Uh uh Billy, let me um let's start where we got to start, right? I mean West Ham, big news out for them today as well. Uh they're uh their chief Karen Brady been around that trap for a long time. That lady has she's out of here. She's gone. She's she's decided to focus on more important things like The Apprentice.

[00:03:22]I mean, I don't know what we're doing here. Is that is that sort of news quite impactful, do you think? What sort of impact is that going to have on the dayto-day of the football? I mean, Daniel, you can make the argument that Daniel Levy's departure had had probably some impact. I don't know how how much or how much it affected the players or whatever else, but is Karen Brady's exit a bit of a weird one because she said with immediate effect out of nowhere, no one was expecting it. So, what do you make of all that? I hope so. I hope it has a negative effect on them.

[00:03:50]Obviously, it's the last thing they probably need at the moment. And um the their owner is uh very uh he's pushing Joe Lewis's age, isn't he? I think. So, I imagine that someone like Karen Brady is very hands-on and does a lot of the all the the logistical stuff. So, hopefully it has a negative effect on them. There's no chance this will be planned because it's just the timing is horrific. So, there must have been some sort of you can you must be able to read something from it. And um yeah, hopefully many of more setbacks for them to come this season. So hopefully a little bonus for us. We got to take it where we can cuz nothing seems to be going our way at all. So let's hope there's something uh below the scenes there. I mean, I'm not going to say anything on air. But I know there's a lot to read into of the West Ham ownership situation is all I will say.

[00:04:34]But um if you have heard any of the Crystal Palace chants last night, you can read into that what you will. But um I suspect there's more stories. I suspect there's more stories to come in.

I mean, maybe that will, maybe that won't, but the uh the result last night, I mean, we were on the Spurs five at the time, but I was b basically looking at the game, watching the game, uh the most one of the most boring games of football I've ever seen. But missed opportunity for West Ham. I mean, Crystal Palace, they had their feet up.

[00:06:12]They were their minds were kind of elsewhere, I'd imagine. Certainly no 50/50s with any sort of gumption. No one was looking to get injured. Um I I thought that West Ham were going to were going to walk away with the game and they did look they were like they were more likely to score if either of the two teams but the fact is that we've walked away from the weekend with only you know the same the same uh sort of deficit if you like as uh as what we had before the weekend started which given given the fixtures going into the weekend when you looked at Tottenham had to play Brighton and you know the other three teams around us had to play essentially a lot easier fixtures I I I was sort of I wasn't particularly confident that we were going to in uh you know a as advantageous or disadvantageous a position as I think you could probably say we are. What's your what's your take on the on do you think the Tottenham players have have found a little lift there because of what happened last night?

[00:07:03]>> I think so. I think West Ham will be disappointed for sure. Especially when you look at the Palace lineup and it's only really at halfime when they made a triple sub that um the game became a bit more even, wasn't it? Like they you know Palace essentially played a second team in the first half and and it looked like that and West Ham had a few chances.

[00:07:18]because they had that mad mad rap which I really thought was in but um >> yeah I think they'll be they'll definitely be the more disappointed not to win that one than um than Palace I think just because obviously Palace had the the massive win on Thursday they rested their team they had a couple of injured players they were out on the pier so it's definitely a little bit of a opportunity dropped I think particularly in the context of their next fixtures which are tough so yeah >> I've seen a few people say that they can't see them picking up another point this season I'm not sure about that but they've definitely got a tough run in as do forest So, you know, there's going to be so many more twists and turns. And I think the big thing for us is it's within one result still. If it was within two results, like four point cushion, then you start to worry them.

[00:07:58]But, you know, if we beat Wolves now, West Ham have to win and they have to better our result for us to go to stay above us. So, even if we beat Wolves and uh they draw, we go above them. So, I think, you know, it's a big it's a big thing for us now.

[00:08:12]>> Well, and as far as the Wolves game goes, we're going to sort of dance around a little bit here. I've got the fixtures, the fixtures coming up which we can always refer back to, but it's obviously still not in our control. We still need to obviously win win win more games than than West Ham and Forest do.

[00:08:25]Me personally, just quickly, I think that I don't know who was saying that they don't see West Ham getting any more another point. I don't know about that, but I certainly think that Forest I think have got a a brutal running, but they do have a five-point gap over us, so they've got a little bit of a buffer zone. But for me personally, if you look at I mean forget about leads. I think leads are fine. But you look at Sunderland, Crystal Palace, sorry, Sunderland, Everton, and Wolves. For me, I would say that at the end of like if you're just going on the kind of the complexity of the fixture list, then for me, I I I could see a scenario where where we get to 34 points on the weekend, where Crystal Palace um or sorry, where Everton beat West Ham. Is Everton still fighting for Europa League spot? And by the way, they might they might even technically be fighting still for a Champions League spot because there is that weird weird um kind of situation where if Aston Villa happen to finish fifth and they go and win the Europa League, then the sixth spot gets the Champions League. So Everton will have all >> points are really close between like the top 12, aren't they? As well, >> the doors open for everyone really.

[00:09:32]>> Yeah. But as far as Wolves go, like I mean people are sitting there saying it's obviously Wolves are terrible right now. They they they were relegated yesterday, so it's all a that's all a kind of like sort of done and dusted, but Tottenham specifically have got an absolutely atrocious record recently.

[00:09:46]>> Terrible, isn't it? No, it's no winning six, isn't it? And I think you have to go back to Yamatlin the last time we beat them there as well. So >> yeah, here we go. I don't I don't know if you can see it on the screen. Let me let me zoom in a little bit. But >> this is uh this is the this is reverse.

[00:10:02]So when you see a W, it means we lost.

[00:10:04]But yeah, so we drew earlier this earlier on this season. Last season we we lost to them away. We drew with them at home. The season before we lost to them at home and away 2023 we lost to them away and we beat them in in the start the start of the 22 23 season 1 nil. I don't even remember who scored that goal.

I mean, >> do you think do you think just sorry to flip the reverse here, but do you think them being relegated helps us or hinders us?

[00:11:01]>> Um, >> they've known for a long time, haven't they? So, I'm not sure how much difference it really makes, but there might be a bit a weight off their shoulder a little bit, I guess.

[00:11:08]>> I I I think so. Um, I think it will pro I mean, >> I I would say just the fact that they're bottom team in the league and they're terrible should be like should be the catalyst for us to be able to do better.

[00:11:19]But we have been atrocious against I don't remember you know we played okay against Brighton and we played a game against Manchester City and Burnley in the first game of the season but I don't really remember too many games where we played very well or dominated the entire season Billy so it's uh as much as people looking at it going well you know like it's the best game you could possibly want right now maybe not for Tottenham given that >> they're probably doing the same >> I mean we're bottom of the form table aren't we? So, you know, we're still below them in the form, I believe. And so, I think I was a bit worried about it, particularly when, you know, they had that little spell under Rob Edwards, didn't they? They beat Liverpool had a result against Arsenal and um was a bit worried then, >> but I think, you know, they got smashed by both leads and forest, didn't they?

[00:11:59]So, um lead Sorry. So, you'd hope surely that their confidence just gone now hopefully.

[00:12:07]>> How would you go about the um the approach? Right. If you're if you're deserving, obviously the approach has to be you have to win the game, right? So that's that's a that's a kind of >> um an obvious thing, but is one like if you get one goal, do you sit back and protect? Do you go for a second? Do you if you get a second, do you go for a third because you think that, you know, um goal difference might come into it.

[00:12:29]Obviously, we've got a little bit of an advantage over West Ham with our goal difference, but we're actually >> not Forest, right? And Forest are very much involved in the uh in the pursuit here. So, um, if you if you were the Zerby, do you do you just tell Tottenham to like, you know, continue to play as though it's nil nil regardless of the score?

[00:12:46]>> I think he will do that just because of the weekend. I you don't want another situation where it's 1-0il with like, you know, in the 95th minute or something, then we make another mistake.

[00:12:53]So, I think because of the confidence of the players, he'll just say we have to just go for it and try and get two or three goalies and um hopefully we come out the blocks like we did against Brighton and uh go for there. Um, got a little conspiracy theory here though. I wonder what you think about this. Oh, love it.

[00:13:07]>> Do you think Do you think Wolves would rather that West Ham went down than Tottenham just because if Tottenham go down I think it lessens their chance of winning the Championship next year?

[00:13:15]>> That's my little uh that's my little mentality thing.

[00:13:20]>> I saw that I saw someone said that to me on Twitter that Wolves would rather Spurs didn't go down because it it would stop them from getting promoted next year.

[00:13:27]>> That's interesting. That's interesting.

[00:13:29]Well, do you Well, well, I mean I don't know. I don't I don't >> I'm sure that stuff probably doesn't even come into on a football level, does it? But >> I I mean I don't know. I probably not. I would I wouldn't have thought so. Not >> most people want to relegate us, but it's probably it's probably in Wolves's best interest that we don't get relegated. To be fair, >> they're one team where it's not in their interest for us to be relegated.

[00:13:47]>> Well, Wolves will probably sit there and say, "Well, at least we know we're going to get six points off Wolves off Tottenham next season as well.

[00:13:53]>> You know, they're six points guaranteed." Do you think that Tottenham will come straight back up if we go down?

[00:13:58]>> Yeah, I do. I really, really do. Um, you know, our close mutual friend Connor, you know, seems to suggest that we just absolutely dwarf people. I I think there's something like that we're we have more revenue than all the other championship teams combined almost. So, um, >> yeah, >> I think it'd be absolutely mental if we didn't, to be honest. Like, it would just be an absolute it'd have to be such a it'd have to be worse than this season for us not to come back up, wouldn't like it just be such a catastrophic misuse of uh like funds and size that I can't picture a world even because my thing is everyone's saying everyone's going to everyone will leave if we go down but I just think on a practical level you can't sell like 20 players at once can you like you just can't do that so there's going to be like five or six of them that remain and those five or six plus we'll sign a few players hopefully sign a few like you know we'll get some names from Europe or we'll sign people like Hayden Hackne or something like that and I mean surely we just have to have too much of the championship surely Yeah. The only thing I'd be concerned about is that when I ask the people who think that we would walk, I haven't spoken to Connor about it, but other people who think that we'll walk the championship next season and I say, "Okay, so what does that team look like next season?"

[00:15:03]>> And they're they're saying, "Oh, Mikey Moore, Vuskovic, like first of all, oh, they're saying, "Oh, Archie Gray will dominate." I mean, Archie Gray was in the championship with Leads and he wasn't played as a six or an eight. He was played as a right back for most of the season. Mike Mikey Moore is still a kid. You know, you look at the teams that are currently fighting to go up, the Coventry, the Middlesbroughers, the Rexoms, these guys, the Milwalls, and there's no kids in their in their starting 11. I think the one of the youngest players that's that's a regular in the top four or five teams is Hayden Hackne who's 24, >> you know. So, the idea that kids >> Tottenham's kids are like suddenly going to get their chances. I don't think they would. I think that they'll get bullied because it's a much more physical league. much more physical. There's less protection. There's no V.

[00:15:49]>> We'd have to sort of rely on the people like Ganso and Kulleski and Madison who would hopefully stay. Um I mean surely if you have if you sort of have a spine of Madison Kulleski not sure possibly I don't know what you think about the Troy Parrot room as possibly Troy Parrot and then Dano and then Kinsky that's surely got to be enough to do quite well in the championship.

[00:16:07]>> What is the rumors with Troy Parrot? The Troy Parrot's going to come back to Tottenham.

[00:16:10]>> He wants he would happily come back if he went to the championship according to Ali Gold. Yeah. Apparently, >> that's not to say that we're interested him, but apparently he would he would he loves the club. He would happily do it.

[00:16:20]>> And would you take would you take Troy Parrot back for what's he got? 41 goals, 41 G or something in the in the >> If he went down, if he went down, I definitely would. I probably wouldn't take him to like build on next season in the Premier League. But for the Championship, I think it' be unbelievable. It's probably way too way too pre like >> How long is Troy Parrot now?

I wouldn't necessarily keep him from the Premier League, but I mean, you'd be hard pushed to argue that he's he's any worse than any of our current strikers, right? The season that he's having and you know, the fact that he we sold him to we replace him with obviously, you know.

[00:17:05]>> Do you think though that there's like I'm just looking at him right now. So, in the in the KNVB Becca, which I think is the cup, he played five games, scored five goals and five assists, uh was involved in 55% of their um >> I mean, what we do know is that league is just absolutely shocking quality, isn't it? It's terrible.

[00:17:25]>> We've seen that in the past of like Vincent Yansom was top scorer there, wasn't cold and boot there and stuff.

[00:17:29]So, I'm not sure how much you can take by that league. I am encouraged by his European scoring record and his international scoring record as well though.

[00:17:36]So he got so in the cup he got five in five games he got 10 GA in the com in the conference league uh the Europa Conference league he got 10 in 10 games he got five GA sorry four GA three goals and and and an assist devisy got 15 goals in 25 with four assists so 19 and 25 and in the conference league qualifiers he got eight g seven goals and an assist in five games so >> which you surely have to liken to the championship level I mean that's I think so >> way too good for the championship. So >> yeah 100% I wouldn't be off wouldn't be up for it.

[00:18:11]>> What's his valuation? Let me have a look at his valuation. He's valued at 22 million euros. Do you know what the what the structure of the deal is? Like is it do we have like a sell on fee or >> we do? We do have some kind of we have something. Yeah. Not sure what it is but there's something there.

[00:18:29]>> Do you rate Will Langshire? I'll keep him as a backup in the Championship possibly, but um he's done all right this season, hasn't he? But he's doing all right for a shocking team in Oxford, isn't he? But you know, I'll keep him as a backup possibly.

[00:18:41]>> Yeah. Yeah. So that's the the argument with me though about the championship is just like how Yeah. I take the point we've got all this revenue. I don't think we'll have as much revenue next year obviously.

[00:18:51]>> No. But um do you trust Johan Lang to be able to find players that are you know championship standard that also because again if you're buying players on four or five year contracts then you're going to be stuck with a bunch of >> lower level Premier League to upper level Championship players that come up again or you just trust in the kids which I think is fraught with risk you know because you just don't know if the kids are going to be able to handle the ment the physicality. I mean, I I don't think I I wouldn't see a problem necessarily with uh the center back, the kid center back because he seems to be quite a physical >> field. Yeah.

[00:19:28]>> And there's also Ashley Phillips at Stoke, isn't there? Is like essentially championship player of the season every season. So, >> yeah, >> he could be an interesting one if we go down to that level. I don't know. What do you think about Vuskovic? I don't think Vovic will play in the Championship personally. I just can't imagine it. Like he's the most talented teenager in Europe essent. I know he's just got injured, but >> you want the championship. He he's essentially downgrading like you're losing like one of the best teenagers in the in the world there.

You know, I've got I've got an article here that says that Tottenham were asked to see that the results of the scan advised on the next steps and that was about two weeks ago and two weeks later now his knee's broken down. [00:20:43]Well, I do what I do think there might be a case for is if you get Douggee Freeman in I mean I'm not sure we could persuade Douggee Freeman to come in the championship. Maybe we could, but if we could do that and then you know he's someone that signed like Elise Eza Watson from the championship and if we got him to rebuild the team instead that could be an option but I would not in answer to your question I definitely wouldn't trust Lang and I definitely would not. I hope that he's I hope that he's gone and sort of as the window you know as the as the season ends to be honest. I did see someone say that he wasn't there at the weekend, was it?

Um, Billy, I do want to ask you just mentioned there, the Everson game, mate. Before Johnny jumps on, I don't want to sort of forget to ask you obviously a big big part of the change for Tottenham um you know movement that you that you represent uh so well. What's the you know what's the kind of where are we with with regards uh protest? Where are we with regards your you know the status quo essentially with what's going on? So what we're trying to do at the moment is try and look at other ways that we can send messages uh and and process in different ways just because you know it's been a really difficult season to be able to utilize lots and lots of people on the ground. Um partially because you know there's you know there's been sort of a lack of interest in in protesting it seems from the fan base. Partially because you know some of our messaging was incorrect for sure. You know we got some things wrong this season. Definitely partially because it feels really difficult at the moment in particular because I think a lot of people want to support the team at the moment and you saw that versus Brighton and Forest in particular. You know, the atmosphere is unbelievable for both of those games and I think a lot of it will have to depend on what what the state of the game, you know, if it's if it's if the uh we would love to do a process on that day inside the stadium or outside the stadium before the stadium, but if that game is hinged on survival, that might be really difficult. So, we're going to play it by ear at the moment. Um, you know, we've got some other things in the pipeline, too, about different ways that we can maybe protest about, you know, utilizing feet on the ground because to be to be to be totally honest with you, we've struggled for numbers with people on the ground this season. So, we're going to have to play it by ear, but we definitely definitely have plans for for that game in particular, but it's just going to have to wait and see what the state of the game is before we before we finalize them. Um, we're looking at things like marketing and advertising and things like that just because we need to reach more people essentially. I think there's a big disconnect between people supporting change of Tottenham online and there are in the stadium you know I think the West Ham process showed that you know there was really great to see so many people there you know 150 people there which is lovely really loyal people and you know people that were felt passionately about you know processing in the in the January transfer window but then there's 60,000 people inside the stadium so there's a big disconnect there between the numbers so we're trying to address that in ways of like marketing and things like that but um in >> would you would you maybe consider doing it after like after the game in streets after the game. Like >> that's that's what we're potentially thinking of doing. Yeah, that is that is our that's our current line of thought.

[00:28:52]But again, just so much depends on on the game itself, doesn't it? And what happens because you know that that's definitely our current line of planning and we're looking to get some marketing together for the lead game so that we can sort of advertise it. We're thinking of using things like leaflets and stuff.

[00:29:05]We've been speaking to the spirit of Shankley who did very similar um this season for the ticket prices in Liverpool. So, we've just been speaking to them about their leaflets and stuff and um you know, we've managed, you know, Connor, of course, our good friend has managed to get some funding so we can upscale in in terms of that. Do you think if Tottenham got relegated at the Everton game there I think it would depend so much would depend on the game because I kind of think say Tottenham win and still get relegated you know would the fans be furious or would they be clapping the it's just so difficult to predict isn't it at this stage it's very volatile >> I I feel like I feel like you guys are I but Hi Johnny by the way I feel like you guys are in a spot because like clearly there is and I asked this question last night um on the Spurs 5 because obviously Stell's someone who's very much you know we know pastel for right like you know just protest protest protest is the only thing that matters only thing that matters you guys have got to do it regardless come rain or shine and I I don't think that there is any evidence to suggest that um well first of all I don't think there's any evidence that protests directly influence um indirectly they might influence better decisions in the short term in terms of pressure relieving strategies but that's dependent on the timing in January windows and things like that but generally speaking I haven't I still haven't seen any evidence any club that has protests directly influencing the pressure on the on the board to sell. Right? So, for me, I think it's a way of feeling better, feeling like feeling like you're doing something >> and for those people that want to do it, I think that's important. And I think for even if it's 150 people, if they feel like they're doing something, then that makes them feel better. Therefore, it's it's still worth the effort for those people that want to do it. how you capture more people. I think it's a real it's a double-edged sword because as I say, every time you guys try to do it and it doesn't really manifest into huge numbers, you're going to get people that will like sort of mock you or really call you, which I think is unhelpful and I don't think it's fair because not everyone should you shouldn't feel you shouldn't crit criticize people for having the stones to represent how they feel just because you don't feel the same, you know, like everyone it's a free it's a free society and everyone should be encouraged to uh in a democracy at least to be able to sort of to to voice themselves up in a respect.

[00:31:49]resp which I think you guys do in a very respectful manner. However, that said, I think timing is everything, but at the same time, I think you're in a really difficult position with regards timing because there's always a reason why it's not to why why not to do it. There's always a reason, right? Like if you're doing it before the Everton game, then people will people will criticize you regardless saying look, you know, all ever all the energy needs to be around keeping the team up and the negative energy doesn't help. If you wait until after the game and Tottenham stay up anyway for the after the Everton game, then no one's going to want to turn up because everyone cares about or we survived, so it's a day to celebrate, not a day to to to commiserate or to be angry. If you don't do it at all, then then when's the next opportunity to do it? No one's going to go out of their if if people who go to the game anyway can't be bothered to spend five minutes standing on one side of the road versus another, are they really going to come out of their way in June or July for when there's nothing actually happening in North London, you know, nothing related to Tottenham going on? That's not going to work either. So I I feel like you guys are in a real difficult position to figure out when is the right time to do it because even when the easiest times to do it before games in the middle of the season when people are pissed off generally even then there just isn't the uptake. And so for whatever reason, like you say, Billy, the online space is frittered with an overwhelming majority of people that are watching this show right now and watching everybody else's channels who if I put if I put a thing up right now, a poll up saying, "Are you, you know, Enick in Nick out?" It'll be 95% Enick out. But the argument that, oh, the vast majority of these people are just not necessarily Tottenham local Tottenham fans, I don't believe that. I think there's a lot of people that are watching this watching this channel that that that do go to games but they still don't turn up to protest despite the fact that in their online space sitting in their armchair they would say I mean >> that's the big thing I don't get up against 100% >> that's the big thing that's the big thing I was just going to say sorry just to say bit that's the whole thing you know um you know the the same people who are on the online space criticizing eno and being all for it are the people that would mock when 150 people turn up or 200 people turn up, they're quite happy to voice their opinion in this space.

[00:34:00]But, you know, Billy's in a position and the others are damned if you do, damned if you don't. There are just people that will flip between either side of that coin. And, you know, I admire Billy um and and the others, you know, who who stand up for what they believe in. And I've always I've always said that, you know, it's all very well, you know, being the voice on your couch, right?

[00:34:23]But I admire the person that gets up off the couch, whether it's football or whatever it is in life, and does and wants to do something about it and change the course and direction of their life or the thing that they love. And so I admire what um what Billy what Billy does. And I I just think that um >> especially given all of the [ __ ] push back that you guys get.

So I think what Everton is going to be about and like I think um you know the idea obviously it will 100% come down to the situation of the game at the time but there's definitely plans for that and I think what you might be right Sean it might just be about if we can get 100 200 people together so that we could say that you know we've given them a chance to voice their opinion you know I'm not of the grandio opinion that a protest before the end of the season is when they're going to make Enick go right that's it then it's time to sell for us. I don't think anything will make them change that opinion other than when the bid comes in that they're happy with. So um the question we got to keep standing up for ourselves though, right? So we will continue to do our I don't really I don't tend to to to get affected by any of the the push back online because as soon as you you know it's like with YouTube like with anything, isn't it? As soon as you put your face in front of anything, then you're going to get you're going to you definitely you open yourself up to that kind of thing. So >> 100%. Giz G is like head of sales for some AI company in Silicon Valley, right? He's like a proper personality. And I was like, "Mate, why don't you come on? You got there's nothing. There's nothing.

[00:37:49]Come on." He's like, "No, no, no. It's just not for me." And I think that like some people, it's not it's not about being shy necessarily. I think it should I think there's a common denominator that if you are someone that is that's willing to put your your head about the parapit then you have some level of an ego that you think that your opinion is worth listening to. Not not not saying in a bad way but just like as an observation like you're willing to have it >> but with that ego comes the preciousness at times where people feel like they're that they they want the they want the cool things that come with that like air time like people recognizing you whatever else but you don't want people calling you a donut. You don't want people disagreeing. You can't handle that stuff. And I find it very it's very weird that like people can't marry the two up that if you want this then you also get that. It's the same with footballers. I can't stand the fact that Mickey Vandervens and the whoever's else in the Tottenham team they they want all of the best things that come with the being a footballer. They want the money, they want the bird, they want the price that the house the houses, the cars, everything else. But if the fans that pay those wages suddenly have a problem with your lack of performance, they get pressures towards the criticism. No, you take the bitter with the better when it comes to wherever you choose in life, right? Like that's that's the path that you choose. But with regards with regards change for Tottenham, mate, like I say, keep I keep doing what you're doing. Obviously, you're always going to get push back. But in terms of like for me, what I find really weird, the reason I brought it up was not only because you're on the show and I wanted to get your take on it because I think there's probably people that do want to understand what is the plan for those people that do feel strongly. But you look at Chelsea, right? And Chelsea put out they held a protest before their game against United on the weekend. And I I I I've seen clips like some clips were a bit cringy where there was like, you know, a handful of people that could barely speak that were singing.

I'm trying to understand what it is that Stell for example or you Johnny and I'll ask you as well Billy what it is that you think that the Chelsea fans or the Strasburg fans what are they angry about specifically? Is it the impending financial consequences that are quite complex to understand and probably not every football fan will know that there's a chance that in the next year or two that the whole thing is going to come crumbling down? Or is it the fact that they expect Chelsea fans expect Chelsea to be first and anything other than that is unacceptable? At the end of the day, these own their owners have spent a [ __ ] fortune of their of their own money of their own money.

Chelsea are two billion in the hole. Chelsea's owners are two billion in the hole. So like Todd Bowley could sit there and kind of go, "What are you moaning about?

The the the focus was Blueco and the the the contradiction there is you've got you've got Strasburg who have been elevated by the money that's come in uh to the to the club via Chelsea buying players and then shifting them to Strasburg into that setup. Um, so they've elevated the club but not allowing them to become Champions League uh members >> and and independent.

They're taking two other players out of Strasburg in the summer that they fancy just to put back. and that you know that so you got that argument for Strasburg fans and then on the flip side you got the mismanagement of funds and the the fact that the um the directors have said their focus is on profit. I mean after all they're venture capitalists um private equity and you know they they want to make money.

I mean, it's blatantly going on there. Chelsea have two companies which they operate on, Clear Lake and Blco, and they flip the finances between the two to balance the books. You know, it's going on. We know it's going on. You wait for know it's going on. The Premier League gets knows it's going on.

I think they're probably the fan base that Spurs get labeled at, which is um the Abramovic year has caused them a sense of entitlement. If they don't win a trophy, they they you know they they they turn angry, don't they? They protest against it because essentially what Abramovich, you know, uh familiarize themselves with over like a 105 year 20 year period, whatever it was, was where if they don't win a trophy, they sack the man and then they win one the next season. So they definitely have a sense of entitlement that the Spurs fans don't really have because we're not used to that kind of level of success. Um and I think you know the people saying well Chelsea are protesting now they're in the Champions League or in the run of a Champions League and Tottenham aren't doing it when they're in the in the relegation. I think the fan bases are just very very different at this stage in time. And I think I think a lot of people ridicule the people that you know that that clap the team bus and that you know we're in an unprecedented situation. I think people have to remember that. I think rather than ridicule those fans that that stood outside the team bus and welcome it and obviously the appetite for this is very strong at the moment because you could see it at the Brighton game you can see it at the not forest game fan there's a massive appetite for the Tottenham fans to get behind the team at the moment and I personally think that rather than ridicule those fans it's probably about rather than trying to persuade them that actually the best way to to support the team long term is to actually try and ou these owners and get rid of these owners but I don't see the division that is going to cause any sort of you know gain for change of Tottenham or gain for eno out in general going forward in in the division and ridiculing those fans as like idiots are clapping the bus and stuff like that. So I think personally it's more about persuading those fans that actually can see that you really want to get behind the team which most supporters do right now and that's fine.

[00:44:33]You know that's in essentially when you boil down a supporter that's what it comes down to isn't it? You want to support the team and actually long term if you want to support the team long term then actually getting rid of these owners would be a good way to do that.

[00:49:15]It was ridiculous. It was so busy. As I say, from two, three hours before we all wait outside drinking in the sun and then we we singing the whole time. If there was like if the change for Tottenham guys had decided to do what some people advised them to do, which was to go ahead and they went and stood outside the the the club shop and were singing get out of our club.

[00:49:38]Like it would have been like anybody that was there that day who was who saw these the dynamics and the environment who was who still would come away saying no no change for Tottenham still should have had their little their thing at the on the side for those people that don't feel that way. It would have been it just would have been like it would have been so bad. It would have looked like ignore any of the any of the push back.

We've got to try and think why there are 15,000 people that stand there and then not with change of Tottenham and, you know, ridiculing them and calling it a relegation parade and stuff like that. I don't think is going to help that cause.

I think the India's biggest problem currently and in in the immediate future is not it used to be that they didn't spend enough money right they didn't but now they do they spend it way they spend you know we lang spent 700 million for example so in that specific scenario I would I would take Freriedman and deserby just because I think Eno's biggest problem is that they don't they don't hire football people to make the right decision they don't hire the correct football people so if they if that was in that specific scenario I think I' I'd roll the dice on Freeman and and Deserby because I I have faith in Deserby in terms of the football in sense and I have definitely have feel a lot better about Tottenham if Douggee Freeman's got the keys to it.

That's it. On that basis, I'd be okay with that. Listen, all I know is is that one of the most difficult people to work with in the whole of football is Steve Parish. And you know, Douggee Freeman managed to navigate through that uh through astute deals, through astute business. He doesn't hesitate. He plans and he actions it. Um hence the reason why he he always seems to have, you know, great first mover advantage. but he would only come for complete and utter control and for for the money. And um I think Tottenham historically, don't forget Douggee also knows about the goings on at Spurs because he's he's had conversations. He knows the industry is small, Sean, right? The industry is small.

But I did say to you, Sean, didn't I right from the word go that I think he had ear I think he had wind that something was up. And he positioned himself in such a way, Billy, that if they tried to remove him, the whole pack of cards would come tumbling down. But they never thought that. They never they never realized just how ingrained in every single element of the club Daniel really was. And they just bought in these other people and they thought he could do the job and they obviously couldn't and can't.

We we had that for years and years and years and obviously under the the you know we finished four >> take top eight right now >> we we won a trophy right I would give it back in a heartbeat if it meant that Tottenham stayed up genuinely would like that's is so long forgotten for me winning the Europa League and the fact that Tottenham on the precipice like for me the threat of relegation the anxiety the it's the first thing I think about when I wake up it's usually the last thing I think about before before I fall asleep. It's just the prospect of of what it's going to be. And as I say, in an ideal world, I Billy, you're super confident we're going to come straight back up. Johnny, I don't know if you are. But for most people out there that are watching this, everything sucks. And it has done for a long time, right? Like no no one's got as much money. People are worried about, you know, if you've got kids, you're looking at the AI thing and you're thinking, what are my kids going to do for a career because every job is going to get, you know, replaced by a robot to some degree. I've long since forgotten it because all I'm seeing every single week. So this this idea of top four isn't a trophy. I look back and remember finishing top four and thinking like the prospect of what you're far away, you know, like you're optimistic, but right now it's so bloody draining that I'd give up that.

Like until we get back to there and then I don't think the Bill B I would swap Bill B for that again. just you know just being in a season where Europa League is unbelievable an incredible moment but it's not really changed the trajectory of our football club has it and for me I just want to get back to having that belief that we did in the Postino team that this season we might actually win the bloody league like we might actually win the [ __ ] Champions League. We might win the FA Cup. Yeah.
