The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is a natural phenomenon caused when charged particles from the Sun collide with Earth's atmosphere near the poles, creating glowing lights in the sky; these particles are pulled toward Earth's magnetic poles and interact with atmospheric gases like oxygen and nitrogen, producing colors primarily green (most common), but also purple, red, and blue.

The sky isn’t glowing by magic… it’s caused by the Sun. 🌌✨Ajouté :
People travel across the world just to witness these glowing lights once in their lifetime. Those glowing waves in the sky are called the aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights. It all starts with the sun. The sun releases massive bursts of charged particles into space. When those particles hit Earth's magnetic field, [music] they get pulled toward the north and south poles. Then the particles collide with gases in Earth's atmosphere, like oxygen and nitrogen, and that collision [music] creates the glowing colors you see in the sky. Green is the most common color, but auroras can also appear purple, red, and blue.
So, basically, the northern lights are giant space particles crashing [music] into Earth's atmosphere. Would you ever want to see this in real life? Let me know down in the comments. [music]
