Investigation underway into alleged high school bathroom recording

Yeah, one would not be surprised if there were parents and other concerned community members at the regularly scheduled school board meeting tonight uh trying to get some questions here answered. But there's not a lot that the school board can say because this matter is under investigation. But here's what we can tell you. Sources told Fox 5 Shamari Stone that the student under investigation is a biological male who identifies as female. Freedom High School's principal says investigators are aware of the allegations that a student recorded another student in a bathroom and then went on to say that it's not an isolated incident. In a letter to parents, principal Tanya Brown said the student used their electronic device in an irresponsible manner and added, "We ask all parents to examine their students' devices and talk to students honestly about proper use of personal devices, messaging apps, and social media. This means not spreading rumors, making threats, or posting or sharing inappropriate images or videos of any kind." The Loudoun County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct prohibits recording in places where students have an expectation of privacy such as bathrooms and locker rooms. Now again, the share Loudoun County Sheriff's Office did confirm that it is investigating this and that it may involve other juveniles. Loudoun County Public Schools is providing resources for any students who may need them.
