Treating a lifetime federal judgeship as a currency to settle personal legal debts is a blatant subversion of judicial integrity. This nomination replaces merit with cronyism, turning the public trust into a private transaction.

Trump OWES TONS OF MONEY to One of His Federal Judge Nominees追加:
Can you name in any time in modern history that we've ever had a situation in our democracy where a president has nominated someone who is representing them? Can you all right let me let me end with this.
Today Cy Booker yesterday had a brilliant line of questioning with a judicial nominee.
someone who has been nominated by Donald Trump to be a lifetime appointment to the federal bench. Not to be a lifetime appointment, but to to a lifetime appointment to the federal bench.
And this guy Schwarz is his name, just so happens to also right now actively be Donald Trump's criminal defense attorney related to a criminal appeal that Donald Trump has going. Donald Trump is just appointing his personal lawyers. And it gets worse. If you can believe it, it gets worse. Donald Trump owes this guy upwards of 400 for half a million dollars.
What what better way what better way to pay off a guy that you owe money to than to to name him as in your position as president of the United States to a lifetime appointment to a federal judgeship.
wild, rampant public corruption on the part of Donald Trump and this administration and a Republican party that just doesn't give a shit about norms, about laws, about decency, about the Constitution, about ethics, about morals.
All they care about is getting their mouth and lips as close to Donald Trump's genitals as they possibly can every single day.
It is Republican eroticism at it in its highest fashion. And Cy Booker, a guy who I have a lot of criticism for in many ways relative to him voting for Donald Trump's nominees, appears to have drawn a line in the sand on this one and calling out what is clear to be corruption. I I have some concerns um that right now today are you personally representing Donald Trump in his criminal appeal in New York?
>> I am, Senator.
>> And the man who's nominated you to a lifetime appointment as your client, he owes his pack owes you is it $400,000 for legal bills? Senator, I I actually have no idea what the financial amount is, >> but but he has paid all his bills now, >> Senator. I I don't handle that aspect of the relationship. Um, so I I really couldn't confirm what you're saying. So, can you name in all of American history one fellow federal appellet nominee in any time in modern history who was actively representing the president who nominated him at the moment of his nomination?
Can you name in any time in modern history that we've ever had a situation in our democracy where a president has nominated someone who is representing them? Can you so senator start out as as I said earlier uh if I am confirmed I will recuse my ca myself from all cases in which I've represented the president and be very cognizant of my duties. Um second senator sitting here yes there have been obviously two prior nominees in this administration who have been nominated and then obviously presidents have from time to time nominated justices and judges with whom they are very close and may have worked with previously um so it's not an unusual circumstance senator and as I said my oath of office will be sacrianked and I will recuse myself as a >> so why not disclose any financial obligations this president might have to you. Don't you think that's gerine to our evaluation of your objectivity? If the president of the United States owes you $400,000, >> so senator, any amount of money the president would pay would be to my firm, which is obviously a very large firm, >> but isn't some of your I mean, a lot of us were involved in firms. Isn't some of your compensation based upon the clients that you represent? Yes or no? Is a comp is your compensation based upon the income your firm receives from the clients you represent? Yes or no?
>> Yes, senator.
>> So, you're telling me that this body of senators should not know about any financial obligations the president has to your firm and the actual pecuniary, the actual financial benefits that you stand to get from this case. when that very president has nominated you.
>> Look, you can't hide behind saying, "Oh, I I don't handle the billing, so I don't know. You you you're not doing pro bono work, brother. You know that. You know, Donald Trump owes you money. Your your compensation is tied to Donald Trump and it will continue to be that way.
This is a quid proquo, is it not? How is this not a quid proquo?
How is this not an undermining of the entire system we have set up relative to uh appointments, presidential appointments to positions and the constitutional mandate of advice and consent of the Senate.
This look, moments like this lay bare why it is so important that we have uh checks and balances that we have uh a midterm that goes our way because if we can get Democrats in control of the Senate, it will be far far less likely. I mean, we got a few dipshits in there. John Federman and Heinrich from New Mexico. There's a few absolute uh uh just losers. Jean Shaheen. If you want me to name a bunch of Democrats who are shitty, I certainly could do it.
But if we have the majority, we have a majority leader who can actually lead and control the agenda of the Senate, this guy would be nowhere near being approved for a federal judgeship for life. This guy will likely get appointed His nomination will be confirmed by thei the Republican Senate and then he will die. He could die as a federal judge at 80 years old. This young man who's working for Donald Trump as a private personal criminal defense attorney. Again, it should not be lost on anyone that we should not get lose our outrage at the fact that our president is a convicted felon who still has criminal cases pending appeals to convictions in criminal court. And this is his lawyer who's going to make a federal judge who will be in a position to rule on cases that involve Donald Trump.
The fuck ARE WE DOING?
WHY IS THIS NOT the number one story on the news? Why is CNN, MSN Now, Fox News, every other outlet, CBS, ABC, NBC, why are they not all just ringing this drum, banging this drum constantly.
You should not have to hear this from a dipshit like me.
Or more accurately, you should not only hear about this from a dipshit like me, Jake Tapper and all the other goofs, all the people who invited Donald Trump to the White House correspondents dinner to celebrate the First Amendment with the president that attacks it on a daily basis. They should all be reporting it.
And the reason they're not is absolutely beyond me. It absolutely escapes me. Not saying much. There's a lot of shit that escapes me. Not the smartest guy.
You tell me.
