Diplomatic negotiations between nations often require third-party mediation to achieve progress, as demonstrated by Pakistan's role in facilitating talks between Iran and the United States, though final agreements typically require addressing complex issues like maritime security and regional stability.

Iran Says Major Progress Made In US Talks But Warns Final Agreement Still Not Imminent | N18G追加:
Iran says major progress has been made in talks with the United States, but insists that a final agreement is still not close. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran and Washington have reached a conclusion on a major part of the issues under discussion during ongoing Pakistan-mediated negotiations aimed at ending the conflict between the two countries. Speaking at a weekly press conference on Monday, Baghaei said recent developments were the result of several weeks of diplomacy with Pakistan playing a key mediating role.
He also acknowledged that other countries had offered assistance during the negotiation process.
However, Baghaei cautioned against expectations of an immediate breakthrough.
He said no one could claim that the signing of a final agreement was imminent. The Iranian spokesperson also addressed concerns surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil shipping routes.
He said discussions between Tehran and Washington have not entered into details regarding the straits.
According to Baghaei, the management of the Strait of Hormuz is a matter related to the coastal states in the region.
At the same time, he noted that Iran remains in contact with relevant countries and parties to ensure that any future mechanism guarantees both security in the waterway and the interests of the international community.
Iran and the United States agreed to a ceasefire on April 8th after 40 days of fighting.
The two sides then held peace talks in Islamabad on April 11th and 12th, but those discussions failed to produce a final agreement. In recent weeks, reports suggest both countries have exchanged multiple peace proposals through Pakistan's mediation outlining conditions aimed at ending hostilities and stabilizing the region.
