Now we are taking this issue because lots of things are exploded right from the defeat of the TMC, the win of the TWK and now this this explosion which is the cockroach explosion so as to say. Now cockroaches are indestructible. So this is something that the government will have to take into consideration as it seeks to crack down on this huge huge outpour of what I don't know to discuss this. I have a I have a little uh cockroachy type of uh panel here except for Vira Vira is a more cidate type of of cockroach. Starting off with Viraab like political analyst. Ramab Konkar original going Rakhand also is very much the cockroachi type Rahab welcome to our show and last but not the least uh Pratima by Kotino former Mila Congressman Pratima we are waiting for for another youth leader Ashley he's on his way he should be joining us anytime now Vira before we start I just want a general thing about the change the the the the winds of change so as to say which we are seeing right from TMC I don't know right wrong everybody is ECI XY Z but whatever it may be TVK that also now this latest so give us a general like you easers into it and then maybe you can talk about this particular thing so coming to the last assembly election that has happened we've seen winds of change in it PMC was overthrown by the BJP after 15 years another major change happened in Tamil Nadu wherein New party which was formed just two years back came to power. They did not get absolute majority but they were very close to it. Actor turn politician Vijay has become the chief minister. In the in between this there was a party or a movement called cockroach jantaa party which is doing a lot of noise on social media. Currently its Instagram handle has 22 million followers which is more than the BJP and also more than the Congress. So this has created a big noise and a big wind online. Now how does this translate into electoral politics or what impact it has on the elections which are coming now or in the future remains to be seen but this cockroach Jantaa party I'll give you a slide brief. So this has been founded by Abhijit Dipk who has started the X that is previously known as Twitter handle Instagram and other pages as well. This cockroach came stemmed from a comment made by the chief justice of India Surya Kant. He said unemployed youths are like cockroaches. Now this is a massive statement made by the chief min chief justice of India. Judiciary is one of the pillars of democracy. So the numero uno of this pillar making such a statement did not go down well with the public in general and Abhiji Dipk the founder has capitalized on it and formed a handle called cockroach jantaa party.

[00:03:29]Now this has got so many followers.

[00:03:32]There's so much noise. Everyone is talking about it including the Karan politicians. Shashi Tarur has issued a statement. TMC politicians have issued a statement. Even the BJP politicians have made a statement. There are pages coming up that Cockroach Jantaa party will help the BJP. Some pages are coming up they'll help the Congress. We do not know. But I would like to talk about couple of things. Now coming to government. See constitution of India does not mandate any minimum educational qualification for representatives. So MLAs, MPs, local punchad members. So there's no minimum requirement. So now unless a amendment is got this cannot change. Our Rajendra Allear who is currently the governor of Tamil Nadu and Kerala has made this statement as well today. So that there should be some educational qualification since this requires a constitutional amendment.

[00:04:28]Let's come. So the current crop we cannot expect lot to change because that same set of people are ruling. They go into the opposition they change parties and a lot of things happen. So we'll come to that later. Coming to judiciary now judiciary the chief justice of India makes this statement. Now if you if you have some experience with judiciary some case filed by you your family you would know that simple cases like property dispute there is a common saying tarik tarik so you see that you only get tarics the cases drag on for years 5 years 10 years 15 years many of times the person filing the complaint expires but the case does not settle. So when a judiciary is going through such a kind of um what do you call it delayed justice for small cases forget about rape murder cases which never come to a result. Conviction the conviction rate is abysmal. It is very sad to say that the conviction rate is so low. There are corruption cases. There are cases wherein politicians have jumped from one party through the other. The cases are pending in the court. that person gets elected not once but twice after that.

[00:05:42]So what is happening if the judiciary cannot perform which is the pillar of democracy is it fair for the chief justice of India to make such a statement. So this is the main foundation of this cockroach jantaa party and I think public and the youths in general feel led down by this statement and there is a strong resentment because of which this movement has started.

Now one thing I would like to add see we have so many colleges so many many many colleges you have you have uh bachelors people getting out of these bachelors thousands and thousands every year one where are these people going to work where is the ease of doing business where is the opportunity to do the business we have such a huge population and more than half of it is youth youngsters more than half of it of that of the of this full population 1.2 1.4 whatever now it was 1.4 earlier now I think 1.2 because I think half of if in best so many s they've gone back so we are not sure whether it's 1.21 over but it's around that that much then they are woman. So this is something that has resonated with a lot of people because it's almost impossible to for the government to give government jobs and it's stupid because as it is our bureaucracy is bloated. It it hardly ever works. It's it's quite a pain. If anybody wants to go they can go and check out in any government. You can start with go out. So go and see how it works. But it's so difficult to do business. There are the salaries are so so low. Now with AI there will be even more unemployment. Where are all these people going to go as the Virat said cases 10 to 15 years for a civil case property cases investigation is so bad and then people get acquitted. Why? Because the investigation is so bad. The cops are so badly trained or they are so bloody corrupt. So obviously nothing's going to happen. 50% women should be given reservation which I totally agree but they should be given in these numbers not by increasing the number they should not only be given reservation they should be given reservations in every party in the cabinets in also the assemblies and it should be done now the the governments have got majority 3/4 of the states and and the the thing can go give 50% woman reservations everywhere one se as I said salaries third is such a uh issue in Goa about people coming in and taking jobs uh taking land selling uh buying fields converting them corruption huge. So anyway to this is now Rama is is is a senior cockroach so as to say he's no longer a jenzi but he is somebody who has a brand one. Second thing he's an NGO which known as Gocha Rakandar. Now Gocha Rakandar means they are supposed to be it's it's it's a it's a spoof like you know Rakandars in Goa are pretty famous. They're supposed to be uh they protect the villagers and that let's not get into that because then somebody's sentiments might get but Rama >> this is an issue right you see this when you go on the street what is it where are these people going to go where are they going that pressure cooker which is boiling and 20 million now you have been in social media pratima all of us we know 20 million to reach however much you do trolls BS and all is very difficult so there must something boiling beneath the surface, right?

[00:09:49]That means we need to know that this is the reaction of the youth.

[00:10:01]Number one, we need to thank Chief Justice of India. Because of him today, I think so the whole youth of India has been united. Uh Tajala because everyone have spoken about Chief Justice of India what what has happened and what what did he say main important let's come to the topic of >> no I have one problem with that.

He says that people who are unemployed go into the media and exactly so what he wanted he wanted all positive positive positive he doesn't want people like >> so he pointed so he pointed to RTI activities he pointed to media he pointed to social activist he pointed to everyone because possibly he might be sitting at the chair under influence of someone it looks like because when you go to >> nothing I think he was just trying to like >> it's like you know that that have hurt the sentiments of youth specially. Why? Because we know that uh recently neat examination which was happening paper league. So this was completely position across Goa people and there were suicides happened in in in India. So in Goa in Goa in India it was completely the youth the politics okay they are busy in their studies and everything. This is the time where it was sparked and need examination have sparked it more. So main important unemployment unemployment government absolutely right but what I'm saying is every elections the promises has been done by different government saying that unemployment rate we will bring different opportunities but at end of the day election.

[00:11:45]So this has been understood by the youth aspro looks little funny but the cockroach name itself has been given and tangro is the youth did give cockroach he gave he gave he gave and they have taken it accepted it that yes if you are saying that cleaning the system is cockroach's duty then we are a cockroach then giving the rights to the women of 50% reservation if that can be given by the cockroach then we will be a cockroach.

[00:12:15]They and even one more thing, one more important thing what they have done, they have targeted all the fourth pillar of democracy. J fourth pillar democracy in safeguard the constitution of India.

[00:12:26]The first thing is judiciary. They attacked the judiciary saying that judiciary once his retirement is he cannot join the any political party or he cannot contest elections. Okay. This is all that >> this is so so that they have restricted that they will be not they will be not offered something to give directions by the ruling government. So they they have given this directions to judiciary.

[00:12:49]Second if you come to independent media channel also they are focusing on that is the fourth pillar of democracy.

[00:12:55]Thirdly is the corruption which they are trying to focus on that is executive bodies which has been corrupt right now and fifth is the legislator in in fact they have included all the four pillar of democracy and most importantly discussion lot of people are saying like you know this can be another game plan of possibly a guruling government. Okay.

[00:13:18]And some are saying as VJ said it is Congress operated like time will tell us this is right now a social media platform revolution which is happening.

[00:13:28]We will be happy that the revolution reaches to the ground and as I said do not turn Goa I'll speak specifically focus on Goa. Do not turn Goa into Manipur because you do not know when it will turn turn into Nepal. So do not challenge the youth of this nation. this youth of this nation has a power and power the largest party in >> one one last point to yours you spoke about the legislators right >> so that is an important point why you think it says that once you defect you cannot stand for election you have to leave exactly >> that will stop whatever is happening because horseing election Are you all spoiling the names of horses normally used? I know I'm just people's mandate have to be respected.

[00:14:28]>> We cannot just come and say that like development you turn. I am voting for a political party. I'm not voting for a candidate. If I'm voting for a political party and their ideology tomorrow, you cannot leave that and go to another political party.

[00:15:19]BJP is right. Uh today though Congress was like Manm Singh and and Rajiv Gandhi is the one who brought actually the middle class up which I think the Congress has forgotten today. It's this Rajiv Gandhi who actually brought the middle class and gave it that you know aspiration and I think the middle class also has forgotten now but it's gone to the left. Now this this type of a thing is ideology but people have been forgotten the person who actually is is there who we are voting for that has been forgotten on on the platform of vibility is that not a problem in most political you've been in in the congress you've been you've been in in what is this is the problem with politics >> that we don't look at the people now I'll tell you I know sorry I'm sure that the opposition will yell at me and if if my friend Rajan was He would say that Natu Vij whatever. But one of the reasons which the TMC lost in Bengal is because of the work that the BJP has done in giving better quality candidates.

[00:16:23]>> This is one of the reasons this is something that if like you are more aligned towards the Congress than the BJP. This is something especially Congress has to see. It is not only a danger for BJP but also a danger for Congress. This cockroach movement it's change >> BJP and Congress are the two old change means what third front >> app me sorry baba RG is imploding but this is Dway TV is a change now this cockroach party is a change I'm not saying they're standing for election and it's very dangerous I feel the pressure that this government and the opposition attacking the cockroach it's very very very dangerous it'll go underground and next time elections it's going to affect what do you people or ideology.

People were given tickets in Congress and what they did they defected because they had seen vibility that's a candidate the person who can be with the people who can be there capable enough in the assembly to bring the issues.

I feel this time it's going to be like you know it's high time it's high time opposition learns something >> everybody learn BJP and don't look at the bags how much he can give for the ticket or any other like you know influential favorite person face who is being with the people on the ground that is important and then only something can happen.

Now see slightly pratima being slightly shifted but this is what I'm saying my point is ideology is important to me to me ideology but ultimately these is non ideological uh points these are practical points this is the type of you know like the soaps after you retire one then uh the defections then unemployment educational qualifications of these yeah I'll give you one small example vir this is also good But I want Raman to answer this. Now see you stud UPS officers. The most brilliant guys are officers whatever XY Z whatever 12th.

[00:20:01]So one part they become cockroaches media. Second part who rules these is officers here >> politician who are the politicians which how many of them are there who are who are PhDs and whatever.

[00:20:16]So that is one point which they need education how can somebody who is who there should be there should also be some UPSC exam. So when you're joining a political party I think political parties also should have an exam. Okay.

Yunhana India I think India political parties also should have I know people will yell at me but I'm saying see >> and and face face it's not only vanility it is the face which is important for for the state of Goa and for the for India we are Indians proud Indians proud Goans but like what what see uh if you go to see current uh according to the constitution of India okay uh there is nowhere where there is a qualification which is required at present current scenario Now second most importantly the question comes is if you are if you have been for every post there is an interview then uh >> what political post >> no no for every other post in a government servant okay is there's an interview so why not interview or not can you go and politician politician government servant is for doing our services giving our service services elected representative you are giving complete hold to your uh your your MLA or elected representative to look after next 5 years constituency in employment agriculture whatever it is you are the face of that constituency you are the like of that constit right now in the assembly they do not know to talk they do not know anything but they know to distribute money one second let me complete it >> no no not talk you saw taking it.

[00:22:00]>> Yeah, some of the some of the oath it is literally a joke actually that time. If you go to the first assembly, if you go they were educated people during the time of first assembly that time also you see that there were educated people over there.

[00:22:30]You don't require education you have to come with what you know you have to come with the religious god Hindu like on that basis people are asking vote and third party third parties are a people question today if you go to see you cannot blame people jumping into other political parties whether you have voted for a political party then you have vote for a political party vote for a change if you voted for individual who is good if you voted for money and if you voted for the religious thing because I'll no you pause on this because it's wrong. I'll tell you what are the figures of the last go assembly.

So now this cockroach jantaa party this has come from the resentment that the youths have the frustration that the youths have the anger that is there amongst the youth. So why is this anger there? This is there because uh in India there are postgraduates graduates highly educated youths applying for post of pug and clarks.

Might not be so much in Goa but it is happening in India. couldn't go on post on how many >> and this is one side of the story and on the other side there are politicians no postgraduation no graduation no 10th no 12th they are roaming in Range Rovers Land Cruisers worth three lakhs 3 crores 4 cr rupees if a decently employed graduate executive living in metro if he gives his entire salary only to the cari it will take him 20 years to buy a car.

[00:26:18]>> So this is where the resentment is coming from.

[00:26:20]>> Okay, for with this we'll need to take a small break. Now this is something like uh whatever maybe we may have diverted a little bit here and there but the thing is that it looks as if 50 to 60% of the people of this country, this great country of ours are a little upset. How upset? We shall see. We'll discuss this after the break. But they are upset. And you know what happens in like a pressure cooker? No. The more pressure you put, the more steam is generated. We reached Taliga and Kalagut, but we are still concentrated on the cockroaches. So Pratima >> yes >> what is this cockroach sa then I will go to actually >> so in short can briefly van cockroach party moment starts it is uh let me make it clear it's not at a political party it is a moment by the youth and let me clear Baba said 20 million let me correct it is 22 millions within 5 days 22 millions is a very big number they have even BJP This is resentment. This is frustration.

[00:28:40]Resentment and frustration >> that will come. That will come. Don't take youth for granted.

[00:28:48]Right now it's online. But the highest position judiciary respected judge is making a statement parasites. No cockroaches parasite useless. They don't have any work.

You should be saying those are now I'm saying So I am saying cockroaches mostly are seen in the gutters. So gutter is BJP today. Gutter is BJP today and the cockroaches are coming to clean it. Now secondly, unemployment 10th unemployment cockroach.

[00:31:01]So this is a cockroach is trying to do something for the woman also for the youth also 50% I was on your side I said 50% defection so but right now it is just online moment now it depends if they come political party or whether they support that will discuss it was a it's a thing it's a mandate for a change so as to say yeah Ashley now tell us now uh Pratima has been speaking about Ro. What is what what is the what is the frustration felt by the youth? Why is it that this this thing has taken almost a life of its own?

[00:32:17]like he the chief justice of India so he should be independent under pressure doctors for social med they are sweating like because they have crossed all the political parties like BJP other parties which are there they have crossed all the parties in followers. So and if I can if you can see that also the other thing also that because of that only they even the account which they had made in on the social media that is because these people are scared of this youth now. But will it will it block the person who started I I have seen on on on social media openly given by the someone from the ruling.

[00:33:52]>> Yeah. But whatever it is. So what are these government what is this law and order doing? But effect now the youth has waken up from almost now you can see from last 14 15 years what is going on in our country I'm country like everything is collapsed there is no law and order there is no employment no there is no freedom of speech there is no freedom of like not only the youth Indians these people are targeting them. So that's why our people are like they are scared of this government is pressurizing our youth even the opposition parties.

[00:35:01]So Cockroach party 22 million billion millions. 22 millions almost following party right now. So We have to youth has to come openly on the roads. Not only come on the roads be fearless actually. Yeah. Thanks. Thanks. Actually actually see this is such a such a non game sort of now youth are online right?

[00:36:14]So what can you do? Assume I am the CM or I am the the who is that IT minister national level who who sends these things to what I can do this is social media what I can do suppose if Rama's one handle is there Ashley is one send a message nationality bond so this and today one thing you do it goes in 10 different versions outside now there are already that oi party is come that is opposition to that my Hit party is come my I'm getting spanned by a lot of these spokesman of theirs sending me photographs of like prime minister with that he whatever all those things are but yeah underground osar whichever party is in power this I am saying now let vir I am saying whichever party is in power majority of the party I mean states BJP is Congress in power who every party which is in power tank on danger because this is alternate people are voting either for Congress or BJP. Why option? No option DMK third party.

[00:37:42]So this is something that all political parties should be very very worried about I feel because if they do not perform now today economic situation is very bad it'll probably get worse we don't know this is the third time in 10 days petrol now I think I had was telling our people we should buy cycles one year back because seeing the trend of I had told them but then banistan the way people drive they see the way people are driving So what do you think Mr. Viraj is this is this looking for a change is this looking as if it is a danger I'll bring you back on this is this the change that the cockroaches are going to do and cockroaches one thing everybody must remember they are probably more resilient than humans humans are cockroaches not they they keep on proliferating but cockroaches even nuclear they can survive a nuclear which even humans cannot cannot do I think the political parties should be very very careful of these Gen Z type of movement because the Jenzi type of movement they don't come out in the open. I don't agree with Ashley what it see political parties if you look at Congress or BJP it takes 10 years 20 years to build a platform come to power and then be in power maybe in the national this thing. Now if you look at uh this cockroach Jantaa party currently >> both of digital >> currently it is uh frustration resentment whatever you might call it but there are precedents so you look at Bangladesh you look at Sri Lanka you look at Nepal this kind of frustration translated into what is what you've seen what it has translated into it has overthrown the governments changed the political systems completely and this did not take 20 years it did not even take 2 It was quick because the youths are tax heavy. Youths now make the decisions in every household and they can change the political course. It'll happen, it will not happen. That's a different story.

But the analysis is that see I don't think I think our youth are very very nationalistic and very this I'm I'm like but in a year or 8 months I am saying 8 months Rama is saying 1 year no you are also saying 6 months 7 months or whatever 8 months 10 months what someday elections are going to happen Jan >> that is where that is where see this thing will happen pressure will be put will be built I don't think these youth are going to come out and and create chaos unless it is unemployment but it's not going to happen in go it might happen in north I don't know it's already happening in in many many 2000 time so that will potent change it will push change it will push change even more than what established activists or political analyst or whatever like like you can push don't you think >> uh see um uh >> dangerous dangerous for established political situation we have seen usually the history of Ahmedi party and India against corruption it was a moment India against corruption was a moment and any political party formation it should have a moment and today if you go to see as cockroach ja party they have just added party because I know it linking to Jantaa party BJP okay party they want in fact the way how we discuss broker party or in Goa okay whenever the incidents take place the name cockroach party across Goa see it is not a registered party yet but if you go to see things has been taken seriously by the youth of India and whenever the >> is it they have taken serious seriously or they have registered their protest.

So we were always shouting but if you go to see youth under pressure and parents also used to tell them parents I don't think the youth parents but if it is channelized in a right actions on the ground then the things are going to be different I feel and >> okay wait I'll give you a chance but I want to ask you a question before that >> channelized forget about channelized I am saying this is open open statement forget about channelized they are only looking for option they are not looking for channelized so suppose if you have the established parties X party Y party Z party as every state they are looking for an option Correct. They are looking for an option.

[00:43:18]One. Second thing why I think this will get worse. I will tell you expenses are going to go through the roof. They are going to go because the the reforms are whatever some of the policies are really stupid policies. Then now this stock market fi nobody wants to invest. Not even local industry wants to invest.

[00:43:37]Where are the jobs going to come from now? Then some of our ministers are promising 22,000 every before.

[00:43:48]No, it's not going to happen. Now AI is coming in. Now most of these normal level jobs, desk jobs are gone.

[00:44:01]They are not going to be there. So there will be plumbers, electricians and like you know labor whatever and and the top level. So this and you know this because you do a lot of your things on here. So this is going to be even more pressure.
