🤯 Venus fly trap took down some HUMONGOUS prey!! #shorts

[00:00:00]This was an absolute behemoth of a black widow spider. Just look at the size of this girl and just how ridiculously thick she is. But during this feeding, she did the one thing I hate to see, and that was she got captured with her mouth fully exposed outside of the trap. From this point though, I did have the irrational hope that she would kind of wiggle herself down into the trap. And once the plant started to squeeze down on her and commit to the digestive process, it became pretty clear that that just wasn't going to happen. Now, recently, I learned how to readjust the spider once it's inside of the closed trap, so I don't need to cut this head off and feed it to another larger trap.
