I Tracked a Severe Thunderstorm Outbreak! (DAY 2)

[00:00:00]It's June 12th, day two of the severe thunderstorm outbreak.

[00:00:04]And today we were in store for a huge thunderstorm.

[00:00:08]But today I was ready. Unlike yesterday when that unexpected storm system came.

[00:00:14]First I got good shots of clouds on my bike.

[00:00:17]>> [music] >> Okay guys, um we just rode over here and you can [music] see the growing cumulonimbus clouds right now. You can see that whole huge cloud >> [music] >> and that back cloud I'm not sure if that's cumulonimbus but it seems like almost like an anvil shape.

[00:00:36]But it's huge.

[00:00:38]And then yeah, just [music] that whole area.

[00:00:43]I decide to then do a time-lapse of these clouds.

[00:00:47]You can see here just how much that cumulonimbus cloud was growing.

[00:00:53]>> [music] >> After we did the time-lapse we went to spot more clouds.

[00:01:02]>> [music] >> Like this other cumulonimbus cloud.

[00:01:08]But soon enough the storm came.

[00:01:11]You can see literally the dark clouds right over there.

[00:01:17]Um yeah.

[00:01:20]All right guys, quick little update. We are officially in a special weather statement [music] for severe thunderstorms. I will check what's happening with that now.

[00:01:29]Soon enough I started seeing a little shelf cloud.

[00:01:31]>> [music] >> Yeah, so you guys can see just the crazy textures [music] of these clouds. This is insane.

[00:01:48]Just crazy cloud coverage.

[00:05:17]IT'S STILL FALLING.

[00:07:20]The street is starting to flood.

[00:08:26]>> [music] >> All right, guys. [music] Just like that, the rain kind of just ended. Um, you can see just how much flooding there is. I'm going out to see it right now.

[00:08:47]>> [music] >> We are currently right here. This is almost the end of the storm.

[00:09:01]>> [music] >> All right, guys. The storm is pretty much over, and now we're getting this beautiful [music] sunset.

[00:09:18]And we're going to listen to some thunder, too, I guess.

[00:09:22]Okay, guys. It's still raining out, but I just spotted [music] something amazing.

[00:09:29]It's a rainbow.

[00:09:31]There's a rainbow after the storm.

[00:09:43]Insane rainbow. Amazing. [music] >> [music] >> All right, guys. As you can see off of my weather station, I've gotten half an inch of rain from this storm. [music] In 1 hour.

[00:10:00]So, I'm going to call it there because it just finished storming. [music] No more storms are expected throughout the night. And yeah, so that weather kid out.
