After three decades of failed denuclearization efforts through sanctions and negotiations, experts now argue that the priority should shift from complete disarmament to managing the risks posed by North Korea's nuclear program, including freezing expansion, halting nuclear tests, and building communication channels to reduce escalation risks.

What is a practical solution to the North Korean nuclear issue?追加:
How many nuclear weapons exist in the world today? 100? 1,000?
No. There are nearly 12,000 nuclear warheads on Earth. So, right now, which country poses one of the most unpredictable nuclear threats? North Korea. North Korea has openly stated that it could use nuclear weapons if it believes the survival of its regime is threatened. And it's no longer just a regional threat. North Korea has developed missiles capable of reaching not just Soul, but potentially the United States as well. That's why for the past three decades, the United States has had one clear goal. Eliminate North Korea's nuclear program. That strategy stayed largely the same no matter who was in the White House.
Sanctions, pressure, negotiations, all aimed at one thing, denuclearization.
But what happened? North Korea's nuclear capabilities kept growing. More warheads, longer range missiles, and now even American experts are starting to rethink the strategy. Even Victor Cha, once known for his hardline stance on North Korea, recently said denuclearization is now a distant goal.
Some experts are making a similar argument. Instead of insisting on complete denuclearization, they argue the priority should be managing the risks posed by a nuclear armed North Korea. So what's the alternative? Stop the expansion. Instead of demanding total disarmament right away, the priority should be to freeze further expansion, stop additional nuclear tests, build communication channels, and reduce the risk of escalation. Because waiting for complete denuclearization may only make things worse, just like it has for the past three decades. So what do you think? Is North Korea's denuclearization still a realistic goal, or should the real priority now be managing the threat? Let me know in the comments.
