In Jain philosophy, living beings are classified by the number of senses they possess: one-sense beings (earth, fire, wind, water, and plant-bodied beings) have only touch; two-sense beings (earthworms, snails) have touch and mobility; four-sense beings (bees, moths, spiders) have touch, taste, smell, and sight; and five-sense beings (birds, fish, reptiles, mammals, and humans) have all five senses plus a fully developed mind. This classification helps practitioners understand that all living beings share the same soul quality and can practice compassion toward each other, making dietary choices that minimize harm to other beings.

One that take place not outside >> but within with a giant twist on K-pop.
Our level one kids present the musical Karma Pop. Come up souls warriors.
Today we follow their high stakes journey as they face their ultimate rivals of all times the four inner demons anger, pride, deceit and greed.
So the musical Karmap soul warriors >> featuring featuring uh featuring our young but mighty soul warriors Adi, Adita, Ana, Anisa, Aha, Arjav, Bobby, Chahhat, Disha, Inaya, Aan, Ka, Liam, Lavam, Melia, Neil, Nam, Nimit, Ray, Rayanch, Ria and Rishan along with supporting cast of adults Akshi, Kel, Paris, Prashant and Magna Surana directed by Magna Sha with choreography by Dipta, Margi Sha and Magnash Sha.
The stage is set. The shadows are closing in. We are jumping into the journey of the soul warriors.
Now in the time of all times, our inner demons rule the land, skies, and seas.
First we have gold, the burning anger inside. Then we have man, the fragile, prideful ego. Next we have Maya, the tricksters. Then leaving us wanting more and more and more. Finally, we have that is the king of all demons. Our boss level villain mighty little soul warriors need to defeat keeping you in check in your headless right now.
You know everything like you can't This mom keeps shouting I'm your idol.
Thank you for the clothes cuz it got me going viral. This Maya is a fever making you a believer. Nobody has covered up your soul. Keep it all inside the shame. Keep it out of sight. Your obsession connection right now. Give me all your attention. You know I'm the only one who loves your sins.
Feel the way my voice gets underneath your skin.
Listen cuz I feel your fire. I'll make the tempation higher.
Give me your desire. Watch me set your world on fire. Not real. You can look away. No one is coming to save you. Now we running wild. Get down on your booty.
I'mma be your idol.
>> Trapped by Cro, man, Maya, and Lobe. Our poor soul warriors found themselves overwhelmed and in desperate need of a guiding light to pull them up from the darkness. Little did they know the divine wisdom of Mahavir Swami was about to enter their lives and shake up their world.
Moa came at a bad time just cross the line. You want the path?
Okay, I'll show you light. Better come right through my level. Such a waste time trying to start a battle. Violence isn't in our soul. Stay true and come and let it go. Conquering is what I do. Yeah. My mind only is full of pull up. You pull up. No time for this body. I got this.
There ain't no point in avoiding it cuz we beat my path.
Eternally lighting up.
Call me make sh with inner peace. Fill the heart.
Take >> karma. Countdown.
Five vows. Hear the truth sound.
Going down this now. Now, now party ground. I'll show you how my shows how it's done.
Our soul warriors now know how it's done. But the inner demons aren't going down without a face off. With the three jewels, the five super vows, our soul warriors are geared up to take down their inner demons.
So smooth deluding our eyes more karma inside whole life spreading lies but you can't hide my nice try I'm about to change up these vibes I finally open my eyes it's time to send you straight back into the night cuz I see your real face and cash is a time to put you in your place to out of my veins.
I don't think you're ready for the take down with compassion in a world of pain all the demons who hurt feelings don't deserve your soul. It's so obvious.
You can try but you can't hide. It's a call now. You melt down like what? It's a take down. We'll down it out and it ain't going to stop. I'mma cut my karma with compassion. Open up my heart.
You'll be shrinking and sinking.
Kindness arising. I'm all geared up with five down.
The battle is over. With the five great vows, all the inner demons have been conquered and the final illusion of Moa has been shattered. The path of Mahavir Swami has illuminated their way. And now fully unbound and ready, they turn their focus inward to discover the beautiful truth of their own pure soul and realize its golden potential.
to wake up and be truly free. Put the karma all in the past now and finally live like the gender you'll see.
No more hiding.
Be shining like I'm born to be.
Cuz we are warriors. Voices strong. And I know I believe we're going up up some moment you know together we're glowing going to be going to be golden. Oh the truth we're unfolding going to be going to be golden.
I'm done finding shining like a party.
Oh, no fears, no lights. That's who we're born.
You know, we're going to be going to be golden. We're going to be going to be going to be going to be going. We're going to be going forward.
No fears, no lies as you are.
Souls were covered in million commas and we can't go back. And now we're seeing all the beauty in my river. The scars are history. I'm in harmony. My voice without the ties. This is what it sounds like. Why did I let myself get swayed by demons in my head? I should have learned sooner to see the light instead. See what's underneath. I'll find my harmony.
The path we couldn't find. This is what we found.
A lot of us are out here on our own. So you liars. Though we weren't heroes, but we have conquered. We're kinder and calmer. No lying. I'm tired. Let's bow in forgiveness. And I'll be right here by your side.
And so the journey ends where it truly began. Ridden.
The soul warriors exchanged the four inner demons with eternal peace and clarity.
>> They found their soul's true harmonious voice through the guidance of Mahawana.
>> As we conclude this great spiritual battle with the words of forgiveness, we bow to you. Jinra once more.

Now we have some exciting news to share.
Do we? Yeah. So today on behalf of the entire executive committee, I'm proud proud to introduce the joint society of San Diego membership hub. It is a secure and personalized one-stop platform where every member can seamlessly manage their involvement, contributions, and impact to the sum. This hub is designed to make the processes related to your participation smoother, simpler, and more connected than ever before. With just a few few clicks, users will be able to get event details at a glance and participate in those with features like RSVP, volunteering uh already embedded.
Contribute anytime seamlessly by donating via the platform, manage your JSSD membership and much more. This is not a plat just a platform. It's a major step forward in how we come together as a song.
And this vision has been brought to life through the selfless SA of our very own S member Raj Sangui and his dedicated Bitco team in India.
I would like to take a moment and call Raj on the stage with me today.
Let's give it a round of applause.
Over the last 6 to 8 weeks, I have personally connected with the India team multiple times a week and they have been relentless in ensuring the user experience is completely frictionless and unified. The team has invested themselves in this effort and as if they are part of the S and the vision has been made possible due to Rajay's generosity, dedication and support and today let's take a moment to sincerely appreciate and do Anu Modna for this incredible contribution that will truly benefit each and every member creating a seamless and unified experience for all.
Can we do a sing it one more time all together?
more an we are in the final phases of testing and we'll share more details very soon on all the features and how to use the platform very soon. So expect videos, communications, all that coming out. The future of JST engagement is uh is changing and it's here.
With that, let's move on to the next part and I'll hand it off to Kalby for my three update.
>> Thank you very much Rajay and Vardan. uh I think the new platform will resolve lot of issues or like it will come up with like lot of features that we are looking for. It will be like one-stop shop kind of thing like where you find everything related to JSD.
Now uh before we continue I want to take a moment to recognize the true backbone of today's celebration. Our incredible volunteers and that's all of you.
Events like these don't just happen.
They are built with dedication, teamwork, and a lot of selfless sava behind the scenes. And today we owe a huge round of appreciation to every single person who made this possible.
First a heartfelt thank you to entire EC team for your leadership, coordination and constant commitment to making this vision come alive.
Next to our performance coordinators, your patience, planning and guidance have shaped every act. We will see it today.
To all the performance participants, your hard work, energy, and patient are the heart of tonight's program. You are the stars of the evening. A special thank you to all of you.
And equally to the families of our participants, thank you for your support, encouragement and the time you investment invested to make this possible.
Next to our AV team, thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every sound, every visual, every transitions run smoothly. Most of your work goes unnoticed, but it is absolutely essential. A big applause for our entire Revit team.
A big thank you to our food team.
From the core planning group to the setup, decorating the food booth, serving and cleaning, managing food for such a large gathering is no small task.
specifically with inconsistent RSVP and everyone will enjoy while everyone is enjoying their performance they are really working hard to make sure after performance you will get a good food.
Next to our general volunteer team, those who help with setup, wind up, cleaning, parking, crowd management and organization, food booths. Your efforts ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Thank you, Satangai for leading that.
Next to our decoration team, you have transformed this entire place into something truly beautiful and festive. The atmosphere and ambiance we are enjoying right now is now because of you and your creativity and effort. The photo booth in the south room is one kind of a masterpiece. Thanks a lot for everything bringing to JSD.
Uh thank you Dwani and team. A big applause to the decoration team.
Now uh there are few teams those are like behind the scenes. A very special thank you to our patchala team. Your guidance and hard work in preparing so many meaningful performances has played a huge role in shaping tonight's program.
Year over year parchala is the heart of the heart and soul of the MJK. Many performances are by the parchala students or parents. Heartful thanks to them for representing Jane values in which everyone is learning.
And last but not certainly the least our SMA SEA and MRI team. Thank you for consistently maintaining our facilities and ensuring everything is ready, functional and welcoming all of us. Your ongoing effort your ongoing effort always happen quietly. You might be working in the daytime or night time when no one is over here but it makes a very big difference every single day at JSSD ku banum to you.
And last to all of our val volunteers your sava your time and your dedication truly reflect the spirit of our community.
Let's give all of them a big round of applause.
Sorry.
>> Want to say something from our >> Yeah, sure.
>> Hello everyone.
>> Uh Jinandra Kunal want to say from today from our S what they feel about you guys.
This EC is incredible.
I have been talking to people among ourelves the sa members January, February, March.
Did we ever have this many programs?
Have you heard of this many programs?
>> Amazing. Unseen, unheard. And it is not just the enthusiasm of the EC committee but so nicely carved and architect the plan and the programs according to our community needs. We had uh pubi, we had pujan, we had um shibiril. I mean what didn't we have? We also had a picnic final >> cricket final. I can never forget.
So uh and today this big production at least more than I know thousand hours are put behind just this program.
That's unbelievable. I am saying thank you to the leads and EC but I really really want to thank the volunteers who are unseen unspoken behind this.
They are behind the curtains and nobody actually knows them what they are doing.
They are not just the backbone but unspoken. So their commitment their sava is at par excellence.
Par excellence they don't need any recognition but commitment that's what they give us. So I I would say one thing, one suggestion kunal.
We can give them like a badge like this to all the volunteers and it is our responsibility as a S to when we see somebody wearing a badge go and thank them. Thank them for even any little work they have done.
and what he said about patcha and our commitment. The teachers I want to thank because they are teaching, kids are learning, parents are helping to perform. Hats off to all those patcha candidates and students and our s who are performing here. Big round of applause for them.
Ask for challenges.
Thank you.
Thank you Parvalanti for your kind words. Um now as we are speaking about volunteering at JSD, few of our backbone senior leads who taught us like how uh who taught us about the value of volunteering are still finding ways to help each other among many of us. I would like to invite Kishor uncle, Rohawk, Praadal, Mahayash uncle and Manishai on the stage please.
They will be sharing one more initiative for volunteering.
Please I am pretty sure it will be really hard to see all of these guys over the stage.
Uh I will hand over to Manish by I think he will talk about the initiative.
Okay, let's give a big round of applause for this very good-looking group here.
Right here. Come on.
So if all of you know Kishor by on the left, Prabot by Mah by Rog by right. Um we are announcing and if you can uh get the slide up there.
uh the conversation with them was going for a long time and uh as as a result of number of discussions and uh uh a number of meetings uh you can see on the stage this is announcement of a group called Maitri and uh I I'm just going to read uh maybe Rog by what you know what we have discussed and we we've written do you want to read it can you read it my darn glasses on I can't see Okay. All right.
Janendra, our community is growing. More and more young members and their kids are joining our center with a strong background in jinism.
This is a great news. We are sure our center will grow, flourish and continue follow the implement and implement the gain principles in life. Most important, we can visualize our center going to continue to operate for many years.
However, there are many members who have supported our center for past so many years and they are now almost in the 70 plus range.
They have developed uh some physical limitations. Uh some have become single and many of their kids are living in different city and different states.
Many of these members need various kind of support. Feeling loneliness and need emotional support, company like visiting to the center, need ride to see the doctor. Sometime they need medicines, grocery, dinner and more. So a group of friends are planning to create a supporting structure to fulfill some of their needs.
This is not an official NGO.
To start with the group members are going to volunteer of our center who like to support our community.
We do not know yet how this is going to evolve but this is a great start and we thank EC and all the other other committees for giving us a chance to get this started. Okay. So to summarize, Maitri is a community helping community group, friends helping friend group and I think today you have seen how great our community is, right? Um it's it's affiliated to JSSD but it's going to go beyond right um we have other friends we are other circles and they will also be part of it. So our request, our humble request to all of you is please join. Um there are uh there is a QR code and information outside. There's a QR code on the slide itself and probably the next slide. Please join as we share more information. Essentially, you'll be helping out um with things like, you know, it may be as simple as um helping with groceries or to have somebody, you know, who is uh who has an emergency going on and and they need some help.
But at the end of the day, these are the the small things that really really matter in life for for all of us, right?
So that is my three. Uh let me invite if anyone wants to add a >> Okay. They they all like to just work.
So they don't want to speak too much.
Okay.
So again our heartfelt thanks to Kishorbai, Praodai, Mahesh Pai, Rogai to get this initiative started. We hope that all of you will join and whoever is you know near to you, whoever is close by or or whenever you have time, these are the small acts of of kindness that will go a long way. Again, thank you.
This is Maitri.
Thank you Manish. Now I I would like to invite our BOD. Big applause for everyone.
They will share our like most awaited Ginallaya updates and they will also share like more details about many more things those are going on.
Gentlemen, everyone, it's a great privilege and honor to present the Janala update to Sun today on behalf of the board of directors and there could not have been a more suitable occasion.
than this auspicious celebration and colorful energetic performances. But before I do that, I would like to introduce the board of directors here starting with Rafulank, Manisha Vera, Meisha, Jiten and Goro and and my name is Sep Singh.
If you can get the slide up, please.
>> Yeah. And Manoj Manar who is also on board of directors. Unfortunately, he's not here today due to some engagement, but he's here with us in spirit.
>> Can we can we get it on the big screen, please?
I thought it was actually blue.
So, um I'm going to take 5 minutes. Uh you have been getting the uh updates through emails, but we wanted to uh make use of this opportunity to talk to you in person.
vision to have a janala is something that this s has been very steadfast in believing for a long time for many years and this blueprint is one step the first step in realizing that vision.
Each line here on the blueprint obviously has a structural purpose but at the same time each line here represents a commitment a commitment of the sun to build a janala. It represents the countless hours that our construction subcommittee our architects and many volunteers have spent over the years to get us ready for the construction.
Can we have next please?
And this is how we honor that vision, that blueprint and convert into reality. It's no longer a dream.
It's this artist rendering is is is how we are going to take very specific step.
microphone. Yeah. Okay.
All right. We moved on to the next slide.
Um what I was saying was this that that uh the conversion from the blueprint to the uh to the actual building is something that's going to be possible only with all of your collective efforts and focus. What we're going to do is to take that artist rendering infuse it with a lot of discipline and devotion to convert into a general a building that we all look.
The way we are going to do this is by having these subcommittees and if I can request all the subcommittee leads starting with Sukumar to please stand up. Jatin Sha for the construction for all all the subcommittee leads uh please stand up. Manish Sagar.
Okay.
And least but not the least last Manisha who will who you will be seeing later today as well and Kunal Muta our project manager.
Next please I I'll share with you very briefly where we are on this project.
On the left you see the timeline starting with March and then April.
We we had the final submission to the city last month and then we we want to thank all of you for the trust you have placed in BOD in approving the the GBM for the phase 2 pre-construction and then this month we had a lot of activities happen contractors bid were initiated we had on-site uh contractor visit that our construction subcommittee hosted them and then even though we were expecting that by the end of last month.
It's something that's out of our control, but we still expect to receive it very soon. It's pending with the city right now. And then in the the next two months, you're going to see um again a a flurry of activity around uh getting the bids, leveling them, followed by the contractor awards. And then on the right side, I'm showing you the progress that we expect in the next two years starting with demolition, construction, and interior fittings. And finally, and finally the finally we expect the grand opening again with foot.
Can we expect the Yeah, we can go to the next one.
That's pretty much end of end of the update on Janal. The only thing at the end I will mention is this that um this um construction is a very complex and uh um big project.
It's something that none of us have taken up in our lifetimes. It's like once in a lifetime opportunity but at the same time we need all of you to give us feedback. It's a real temple and we want to have real talk. So if there's anything that you like, let us know. If there's something that you think that we are going wrong, we're taking a wrong turn, please let us know. The email address at the bottom. Thank you again, Janindra.
>> Thanks, Andep. Uh just a comment again about the feedback. So uh we sometimes hear these secondhand feedbacks that uh and if I may request a silence please.
So sometimes we get these secondhand feedbacks. Uh so as SEP said we would really like to get the direct feedback right the BOD as all the other BOD's is trying to be very very transparent. Uh we meet at least once a week. Uh sometimes that's not enough and we meet multiple times a week but if we can get that direct feedback through email or call any one of us that is okay. If you need to, we can send you the Zoom that we use and and you can hop on our call.
But we would really really like that direct feedback. Thank you.
Jendra everyone.
>> Anyone want to guess what segment is this?
>> It's not fundraising. It's it's what are we calling it now?
>> No >> money.
>> What are we calling it? gonna come.
>> No.
>> Okay, stop guessing. I think you're going in the wrong direction.
>> Please. I think we can have the lights up most likely. I think that'll be nice.
Yeah. Okay. So, I think I have 45 minutes. Is it right?
>> No.
>> Oh, 20 minutes. Okay. I got to go fast then.
>> Seven already passed.
>> Oh, seven already passed. Okay. All right. Okay. I know. I know. know we are uh between you and the next round of programs and I know some of us are in some of those programs so we are also very eager to to get there. Um so again to start with my name is Manisha uh I'm uh helping with the general life fundraising and uh I would like to introduce our team if we can get the slides up please.
Okay. So, we we are calling our uh our segment donor appreciation.
Uh so, boys and girls, it's not fundraising anymore, okay? It's a donor appreciations cuz I don't think we do that enough. Um I would like to invite our team to come on stage, please.
And we're going to be quick about these things. So, come on up. Come on up, please.
Who are we missing?
Okay.
Okay. All right. So we have Kunal Jane, Krisha Dooshi, we have Arvin Jane, we have Akshai Meta, we have guy and then we have Rahul Bai. Okay, take a good look because we will be chasing you down for a lot of things. Okay. All right. So with that, we're going to start the slides show and uh maybe uh you guys want to Yeah. Go around and please.
>> Okay.
All right. Is this the first one?
>> Okay. All right. So, I I don't want to belabor the point. All of you have seen the excitement and the la and the and the jo that we have had so far. Um let's give a big round for big round of applause for all the performers who have performed so far. Right. And uh let's let's move on to the next slide.
I'm going to invite Krisha uh and uh let's hear her experience as to um what she has felt as you know since she joined uh uh Jane Society of San Diego.
>> Thank you Manishbai Jay Janendra everyone and I'd like to take a couple minutes to share my experience at JSSD.
I joined JSSD back in 2021. So it's almost five years now. And when I walked in the center, the center was already here. Pratishta had already happened.
Pshala was running smoothly and I walked into something that was something already built and I didn't think much of what it took to get us here.
But for those who joined before 2011, it was a completely different story.
There was no center. Our s members met at Shrimander which was a huge support for us. Pala happened in homes and backyards. Events were constrained by what was available and not by what the S needed. I basically inherited something that I didn't build. So I asked myself how did this actually happen? And that's when I started talking to a few of the elders, our JSSD founding members. And what I learned was something truly inspiring and amazing. Um, can we go to the next slide?
Okay. So back in 2011, the Sun had saved 250K for many years and sorry for many years and then within a single weekend they raised enough money to buy a million dollar center, our own JSSD Vista Center.
Now when you think about what that means, it was not a committed decision.
It was not a bank loan. It was not a grant. It was our own JSSD members who stepped up, gave loans, gave donations, believed in the faith that the Dasar is going to get built without having a clear picture of what is going to happen in the future.
So today we are asking for the same thing. The jinalai is our version of that weekend of 2011.
We are the generation that is being asked. Our next generation will build will walk into the janalai that we built today. So let us all make sure we make something even more extraordinary than what we stepped into. And thank you >> also. Extra round of applause for Krisha. Um mainly because our in-laws are here. So that'll be extra boost. Yes. Okay. So let's go to the next slide.
Now whatever she said I'm going to uh show the same thing in a chart here. So bear with me. Just look look at like couple of things out of this.
I think a lot of you remember like just by raising your hand how many you have joined the center or joined JSSD after 2011.
Okay. So about half right so this is going back a little bit in time because and I want to connect that to the future as well. So this is the point where where Krisha talked about we actually had an opportunity to um buy this center acquire the center and when a within a very short amount of time we u got the loans we got the funding we had been saving for quite some time and then look at what the sun has done over time okay so so that's why I think I feel like fundraising team's job is about the easiest because you know the song does what the song does without even us putting too much effort into it. But what we are trying to show is that not only within within exactly like a two years time we paid off all the loans but then since then we have been actually growing our cash reserves so that we can build the janali right so that's that's that's what the chart is showing the chart is showing our cash on hand all the red bars are actually cash on hand and the green slide here the green green uh line actually is showing the the sun um membership growth So if you notice from like 2020 to 2026 just the number of families has just doubled and you know so when we when we put that into our our um planning mode here that means that you know at the same pace we may have 250 or maybe 300 families in next 5 years right and so what we are really asking today is to to really consider are um donating to JSSD so that we can continue the path going forward.
Right? Um this is a key moment here because at the time we knew that we were going to build a larger janal we have chalpatista in both and digar that was happened in 2014 and then 2023. So we have done the two pratishta as krisha said we are fully functional but the growth that is showing here we will not be able to sustain that you know if if it goes at this pace right so that's why the new general is going to give us uh of course the the thewhatambar and digar das but also it's going to give us a lot more pachala rooms and aradna halls and everything else so that's what we we want all of you to consider and this was the the key point in time um I think Proful Bay and few others you might remember we actually did a uh fundraising drive and I think in a in a in a span of like less than an hour I think Kishar might remember more clearly I think we had raised about half a million dollars so that's where our reserves went from here to here and then every year the sun has been adding to those reserves okay so again the the whole point here is that we are not only if we look at the 15 years here what has happened and if we project it out for let's say next 15 years. We really need to continue raising those funds, build the janalai and then make the facility and and our center much more um you know open to those types of uh those types of numbers. So let's go to the let's go to the next slide and then uh let me invite Kunal to share how other how the other sons are doing here.
>> Jindin everyone in fact uh this is a very exciting time here in North America. Um we have been experiencing a tremendous amount of growth for Jane communities out in North America. Uh we recently went through Pratista in JTLA.
Uh just before that we had Pratista in Metropolitan Washington and Toronto and JCSC our bun park center and the militas center JCNC are going through an active expansion. These are one of the big centers and they've been expanding even now just because of the kind of uh growing community needs. Uh Houston um are planning to relocate to a bigger facility. Uh just last weekend uh we had Anil Gimawad come in and do the bum pujan. Uh this is this is the story of Houston. They are actually much larger s and they're planning for even bigger center.
um Jane Center of New Jersey uh they actually bought a land just a month ago and they're now planning to uh look forward to building their new Deraser uh in New Jersey and in fact one of the interesting things what I noticed is pretty much in one one event couple of hours they pretty much raised 60% of their planned cost for building general in just one event just couple of hours and they had 60% of the funds that they need looking at all this excitement uh even Jana pitched in uh Jana is starting uh Jane center Nirman Yoshna since a lot of Jane centers are going through uh the kind of expansion plans Jana has come forward to support all of that with uh uh you know providing any kind of resources or any kind of suggestions and help and sort of be that center uh central team to sort of help all these centers uh quickly build and not having to go through all uh every center go through all this effort.
Uh yeah. So again the key the core message here is you know we many of us were there in JTLA uh just a month ago and one of the things what we noticed is pretty much on the day of the protesta on the very day of the protesta they pretty much raised something uh the kind of funds they raised pretty much was really good something that pretty much covered a significant portion of their construction cost and that's something even our would be no different in fact we expect ours to be to be you know a lot better than you know uh what uh uh JTLA has done. So again uh the core message here is that you know while we know that we're going to have all of these funds you know we're going to we're going to do a lot of fundraising as part of our protesta what is more important is for us uh to come in early and be part of the construction sort of uh you know donate towards the construction and then and be part of the uh the whole experience of building the janalai.
Okay thank you gal. So I think the the long and short of this is we are experiencing the same exact thing that many songs in North America are experiencing. The sun growth is there.
Um you know people are looking for more space. They're building jinal but then also I want to just very quickly mention one other thing that while the sun is growing we are really really like all SS are now getting concerned about the the young adults. So when kids become 20 or so till you know they go to college and then we kind of lose them for next 10 10 to 15 years uh and some of them you know may never come back to the community. So that is also something we are looking at. And so all of the donations and all of the fundraising that we do is actually to not only sustain the s growth but is also to bring back you know this youth or the the young adults who are actually you know kind of lost uh you know beyond beyond the college years right so so there's more discussion to be had on that um and also last thing I wanted to mention JSSD's own kokilabin is part of the Jane center niran yojana where um there there are there's a pool of donors um who will be donating uh and and we will be able to kind of you know uh take advantage of that as well. So with that uh let's quickly move to the next slide.
Okay. So this is very simple. I think most of you have done this before. We had there are four there are multiple ways but there are four main ways you can help. Number one is the OPEX. OPEX is uh you know typically $1,200 a year but you can choose number of uh number of levels there. Um we have ganala donations and the key word is donations meaning uh number of you have already donated in past and that will come to you as a credit when our generaliz sheet is published right so that's the donation part we are also introducing something called line of credit the line of credit is to make sure that we have proper funding while we are building the janalai um currently when the when the janalai construction really starts you know we will really eat up uh lot of the buffer and the funds we have and then for next two years the till the pratishta we won't have any incoming um donations coming in. So that's why we are actually talking about this line of credit and of course you can always do general donation at any point in time.
Okay. So let's go to the the next slide real quick please. Okay so I kind of really quickly went through it. If you are not part of the OPEX um then then definitely please join it. We have different levels here. And by the way, the volunteers are actually filling giving out forms. Um I'm not sure if we have time to you know really go through like the fundraising part of it. Uh you know we do bullies and everything else but we we will you can talk to us um at the Swami Watsalia and also you can fill in the forms and and give us the give us your your pledges. Okay. So this is for OPEX. Our target this year is 100K and I I think I think as I said here if half of the S members chip in you know we are there. So that should be kind of the easy part. Uh let's go to the next one.
So this is the ginallay we have different levels here. If you choose the first level here the Mahasangpati.
Anyone has a desire to be Mahasangpati today? It's a great day actually. The rain is gone. Yeah, >> sunshine is out. Well, if you become masked, if you wish to become Maspati, you can actually name these levels whatever you want, you know. Um and uh okay, so this but this keep this in mind that if if all 200 families of us if we donated average $5,000 over next couple of years, we'll be there. And you know that's what we are really after. So consider that when you consider the donations for JSSD. Let's go to the next one real quick.
So this is the line of credit that I was talking about. Let me just very quickly explain. Line of credit is that's something that we will exercise if we need the funds, you know. So, let's say you contri uh give us a line of credit for $25,000 that will be like half of that will be due next January coming January 2027 and then the other half will be 2028 and then the refund will be uh over next 3 years after Praesha. So, it is essentially an interest free u loan or line of credit that we can use only if we need to. All right. So, that's the third portion of that and then let's go to our next one.
All right. So this is the general donation. This really helps the EC and all the committees to use the funds as you wish. And so that's what the the general part is. And you can always do general donation at any point in time.
Okay. Yes. Yeah. So let me give to Kupa for a second. You want to sing?
>> No. Go ahead. All right. So while we are circulating the forms, we're going to have couple of our volunteers here.
I need to get a mic.
>> Sure. Sure.
>> Hello.

That's it.
>> Yeah.

All right, I'm going to just start announcing and the sooner you get the slips back to us the the the better. Um, let's start with KL and Raj Sangi. We have a Janalai donation for $10,000 and I want to check the general of line of credit cuz there are two boxes checked here. What should I put in?

So we have whoever is the car owner please help us to move the car >> or we will consider that as a donation to JSSD. So please move it very quick.
>> 9TXG540 Kia silver Kia.
>> You have 5 minutes to move the car.
Okay. Thank you. Okay. So I think we're going to do like five or six because the these sheets are really heavy. So we're going to do anumna every five. Yeah. All right. This is cutting in 2 minutes.
Yeah.
>> No. Hang on.
>> So we have Urashi Patel. Who is Urashi Patel?
>> Yes. Yes. Yes. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you. We have Jinalai donation for $50,000.

>> Thank you, Manish. That that just was made up. I mean, I'm sure you'll pay, but I'm >> Yeah, she doesn't know. So, that's why.

Please welcome Jie Var.
>> Can we have some quiet please on this zone?
Mike, who needs His microphone is the say hello.
>> Hello. Oh.
JJ and Indra. Everyone, a few students from Partella were having a play date today. They sneaked into the lab room of their friend's fathers by looking for some stools. Suddenly, the machine in the room turned on and transformed the students into miniature versions, very, very tiny, smaller than ants. The fan blew them into the backyard and they were trying to figure out where they are. Let us see how they stay in the moment, turn this experiment into a learning opportunity, and explore the world around them.
>> Where are we? Did we end up in some kind of jungle?
>> Is this grass or what? We were playing with my dad's invention. I'm not sure what happened.
What is that loud noise? Oh, look. That bird is flying in fast. Watch out. It is coming for us.
Phew. We nearly escaped. Looks like we're in your backyard lawn. These grass blades, they look like giant forest trees. And this puddle, it feels like a swimming pool. Why is everything looking so big? Oh boy. Looks like we are shrunk. Just like the movie Honey, I shook the kids. But how will we get back to normal again?
>> Oh wow, just a reverse of what happened.
In the meantime, let us explore this world. We had homework to study about living being. Maybe we'll be able to learn better from up close.
>> Yeah, we need to spot living beings with different numbers of senses. Did you know that in genism there are many different ways in which we classify living beings? One of them is by the number of senses that the living being has. Yeah, there are one sense, two sense, three sense, four sense and five sense living being. Each sense has its own unique strength that helps the living being with specific capabilities.
>> The one sense living being is the least of all living beings. They're everywhere. Earthbodied, firebodied, windbodied, waterbodied, and plant-bodied living beings. They all have one sense. That's the sense of touch. Allows them to feel.
>> What do you mean by waterbodied? Can you give me some examples? It seems straight from fiction like the movie Elemental.
Have you watched that movie?
>> Oh yes, I have watched that movie. There are many examples of waterbodied living beings. Some of them are ice and snow, fog, mist and dude, hail and rain as well as rivers, lakes, ponds and even oceans. These are a few examples of waterboded living beings.
>> Now let me ask you a question. Do you say water is living being because of the fish and other living organism that live in water?
>> Great question. But no, water itself is a living being. The fish and other organisms inside of it are distinctly separate living beings.
>> Watch out, that earthworm is coming for us. And that snail is also moving. Do you notice they don't have eyes? These living beings are two sense living beings. Two sense living beings are mobile, which allows them to move.
Luckily, the snail moves slowly and we were able to get past it. Let us now taste, smell, and sight. Some examples of living beings with these four senses are bees, moths, spiders, bugs, and wasps.
Hey, look. It's our cat. She can hear us. She sees us, too. Yay! We'll be rescued. Our cat has sharp earring, which is the fifth sense that living beings acquire.
Five sense living beings have touch, taste, smell, sights, and hearing. Some examples of five sense living beings are birds, fish, reptiles, and mammals.
Human beings are also five sense living beings. We have a fully developed mind and that differentiates us from all other five sense living beings. So how does this classification of G beneficial to us? Let us all take a look at this >> guys.
These students know that there is a reason behind the explanation and classification of jie as described by Mahavir Bhagwan. They have learned that jiev is the physical body that can have from one to five senses. But the quality of the soul embodied in the jeie is the same. Let us see next how they reason or yeah reason the usefulness of this knowledge.
>> So living beings can have from one to five senses. But is there anything that is common amongst all living beings?
>> Common they don't share anything. They all are independent.
>> Yes, they're all individual and independent. But all of them have the sense of touch and all of them have a soul. The knowledge of living beings helps us understand our own self that we too at the core of our being are a soul.
Well, this body and this life is just one of the many manifestations of the cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
Awareness of this knowledge of Jeie and realizing it helps us keep on track towards our goal of mo.
>> The journey to Mo is like a relay race.
Just like we have to prepare and train for a relay race, we have to stay on course in this life towards our destination of mulch.
>> Okay, so it's awesome we can know ourselves through this knowledge of Jeep. But are there any other reasons or benefits to know all these details about the classification of living beings?
Definitely yes. This knowledge is directly applicable to the practice of nonviolence in the application of our soul's inherent nature of compassion.
All living beings possess the capacity to be compassionate.
There are even many stories of animal compassion.
In 1996 at Chicago's Brookfield Zoo, a female gorilla named Binty Juwa found a three-year-old boy who had fallen into her enclosure. Instead of harming him, she cradled him, protecting him from other primates, and gently brought him to the zoo attendants.
Expanding on that thought, compassion is a deep awareness of another living being's suffering coupled with the desire and action to alleviate it. The soul has an inherent quality of compassion and we demonstrate this in our daily interactions. Our body needs energy to survive. What is the most compassionate way to make and consume food? Minimizing our food choices to single sense living beings and even in that trying to minimize the number of souls that we hurt is at the core of a chain diet. Well, awareness of this knowledge makes us compassionate consumers. We should be grateful to Baguan Mahavir for teaching this to us.
We You know what? This is the reason why we You know what? This is the reason why we use fake leather in things like shoes, belts, wallets, and purses. The effort to minimize pain to other living beings is the primary consideration in the choices we make.
I have an idea. Let's use what you just said and give the audience a set of choices and let them decide on what choices to make in the following situations. Risha, would you kick us off?
>> Given a choice between keeping the water running when brushing teeth or turning the tap off, what would you do? Would you keep it on or turn it off?
>> Exactly. Turning off the tap is a right choice. It is good for the environment, but if you think deeply, it is also being respectful to the water body living beings. Let's move on to another example.
>> Let's say you have to buy new furniture for your home. Would you pick a less expensive leather sofa set or a slightly more expensive sofa set that's made of fabric?
>> Well, the cruelty-free choice is the right choice. It is also the compassionate choice.
>> Summarizing what I understood, there are two main benefits from understanding living beings. One is that it helps us understand our own self. Secondly, it helps us follow non-violence through compassion.
>> That is true. The qualities of the soul are infinite knowledge, infinite perception, infinite bliss, and infinite energy. All living beings are part of an interdependent ecosystem. But we can learn to coexist by being mindful of each other, by being compassionate and self-aware.
Hi, Alicia.
Look at this cool photo of ours. Your clothes are shiny and you look so good and fresh. Is this all crueltyfree?
Yes, my clothes are 100% cotton. And this lipstick and makeup is vegan. A video that showed how carmine insects are crushed to extract that red color to make lipsticks and lip glosses motivated me to choose crueltyfree cosmetics.
Yeah. And whenever I go to a birthday party, I make sure that the cake does not have eggs in it. I know that my friends understand if I don't eat it.
All my friends in school know that I follow a Jane diet.
You know what? So many restrictions and limitations make my life very hard and difficult. Don't do this, don't eat that. Isn't my happiness also important?
Does this mean that I should not play soccer just because I run on grass? You have not taken diksha and are not a monk. As a shravok, you have limited vows, not absolute vows. Knowing this and being aware of it, you will avoid walking on grass when not necessary. At the end of the day, true happiness comes from within.
When we start to see all living beings from the perspective that they are a soul, that they have the same characteristics as us, that they are capable of reaching mulch. One day, we will know our own selves deeper. The spark of our own soul will glow brighter. Let us briefly take a look at one inspiring story that showcases compassion.
One day Indra the king of heavenly gods praised the bravery and mercifulness of king Mr. during an assembly of demigods.
He mentioned that king mere would not hesitate to give up his own life to protect those who came to him for shelter. But two demigods doubted Indra's statement. So Indra asked them to go to earth and see this for themselves. Let us see next how they reason the usefulness of the Oh, let's see next what they decide and how they test King Mr. What would we do if we were in the place of King Mr. I'm a heavenly being. I will take the form of a hawk and enter the court of King Mrath to test his compassion. I am a heavenly being as well. I'll take the form of a pigeon. Hawk, you should chase me and I'll seek refuge from King Magroth.
Oh king, almighty king, please save me from this hawk. He wants to eat me.
>> Don't you worry, oh dear pigeon. I understand that you are scared. Come by my side. I will protect you from the hawk.
>> Oh king, that is my food. Please release the pigeon or I will die of hunger.
>> Don't worry. Oh dear hawk, I cannot let you starve. Let me arrange some food for you.
>> So you'll give the life of some other animal for this pigeon?
No, I will not sacrifice the life of any other living being to satisfy your hunger. I have tooken a vow to protect every living being that seeks my shelter. I will give you flesh. Flesh for my own body.
Oh dear king, I'm hungry. A small piece of flesh will not work. I need a piece of flesh ego valent to the weight of this pigeon.
Remember everyone, we have come here to test the compassion of King Magath. I am increasing my weight using the powers of my heavenly body form. Let's see what the king does.
>> Oh, oh hawk, I offer myself to you.
Leave this poor pigeon alone.
Oh king, Almighty King, we have heard many stories of your compassion. We have come down from heaven to test you. Your compassion is beyond words. Long live King Magrat.
I know.
King Margaret was an amazing role model as his soul progressed to eventually become our 163 tanker. But one Shan did not.
>> We are truly indebted to our dear thunkers who showed us our true nature.
>> Using compassion and nonviolence as guiding principles for our actions helps us in every aspect of our life. It helps us in our relationships with everyone by being respectful and understanding.
It helps us remain mindful of all of our actions and what we consume. The simplicity helps us find our own true self by reducing our karmic debt. It indirectly helps the environment and directly helps us in our journey towards purifying our soul and attaining moch.
>> Let us all come together >> come together.

Everybody please settle down.
We need to respect the next performance as well. So, please settle down.
Okay, I'm going to continue now. Have you ever paused to think how does one small action changes everything? A kind word, a thoughtful gesture, a simple choice to do a right thing. What seems small at the moment can spark a powerful change of positive reactions. Our next performance brings this idea to life. A classroom skit shows how one student just by attending partiala and living j and living j values becomes the beginning of something much bigger. Our uh a ripple of goodness that spread grows and touches everyone around them because sometimes all it takes is that one person to inspire all the many. Get ready to witness the domino effect.
>> Presenting this kit are Abi, Milani, Nawadi, Risha, Reva, Serena, Wika, and Vidi. Written by level four students, teachers and Riddhi. Directed by Riddi Khara. Let's watch the domino effect.
Jin Nandra. Everyone, life as a teenager is full of defining moments that test us, confuse us, and shape who we're becoming. In today's skit, you will see how students from level four of JSSE Bartala navigate real life situations and apply Jane principles to find meaningful solutions. Maybe even adults can relate. It's Mauier and Malionic time. Our bartal class is full of excitement and getting ready for their big performance. They'll soon be heading for their dress rehearsal, but before that, they might even enjoy a break.
Let's take a look inside their classroom.
Jendra everyone.
What?
Oh, I'm so sorry class. I have an urgent situation. I have to leave. Rakianti will be here shortly. Meanwhile, please review your projects in your groups.
>> I hope everything is okay.
>> Oh, yes. Yes. Thanks for asking. Please don't worry.
Hey, Serena. You've had that look on your face since you walked in. High school drama. Uh, there's so much drama at school right now. Hm. High school is like starring in a reality show. What's bothering you? You bet. It's as real as it gets. Thank you for asking, Bonica.
I'm really conflicted. You see, rumors are going around about one of my close friends. And honestly, I don't know what to believe.
What kind of rumors? Sometimes the truth gets quieter while rumors get louder.
And do you actually know if any of it's true?
>> That's the thing. I don't know. and the people spreading them are my other close friends. So, it's not like strangers making things up. That makes it so much harder. And at this point, everyone around me has already made up their minds about this friend. Have you talked to your friend who the rumors are about?
>> No, I don't even know if I should. And honestly, if the rumors turn out to be true, I'm not sure I want to associate with someone who does that kind of stuff.
That's exactly the problem. When everyone jumps to conclusions, one person's entire reputation gets destroyed.
Now, only if my Wi-Fi was as fast as the speed of these rumors.
I never thought about it that way. Like, by just going along with it and saying nothing, I guess I'm becoming part of the rumor, too.
>> Exactly. And remember what we learned in patchala pauna spreading rumors is one of the 18 pops. It creates bad karma for everyone involved even those who just listen.
Even if what they're saying might actually be true, >> especially then because if you are just passing it along, it's still hurtful.
Intention matters. Bob matters. You're right. And honestly, what if it were me?
I'd want at least one person to check in before writing me off completely.
>> Exactly. And when you do have that conversation with your friend, listen to her without any judgment and with her best wishes in mind.
>> Oh, so you mean Mike Three? Thanks, Vona. Someone was paying attention in Fatula. You bet.
Serena and Vunchika were able to work through their situation so thoughtfully.
That was great to see. Now, let's see what the second group is up to.
>> Serena, you look happy today. Ah, you should have seen me before, but after discussing something with Vanchika and hearing her out, I feel so much better now. Interesting.
Speaking of happy. Hey, Uppy. Did you see what I sent in the group chat?
Breaking news. NASA is currently searching the entire galaxy for the basketball shot by the new kid yesterday.
>> Miloney, that meme is about the new kid.
You sent it to over 100 people in his first week. And you think that's fine?
>> It's just a meme. Everyone was sending it. I wasn't even the first one to send it. I mean, it's not that serious. It's funny. He probably doesn't even know yet. But I genuinely didn't mean to hurt him. I didn't punch him or something.
>> But Melanie, if he feels humilated, does your intention really matter? You didn't hit or yell at him, but hurting his feelings is hima means nonviolence in thoughts, words, and actions.
>> Okay, but you're being a little bit too dramatic now.
>> What if someone made a meme about your first black practice and sent it to the entire school?
>> That would have been really awful.
Actually, I remember how nervous I was that day. If someone had made a meme out of that moment, yeah, that hits different. I probably would have quit playing.
>> That new kid showed up, Mr. S. But try it again. That takes guts and you know that feeling.
>> H, you know what? You're right.
consistency or harmony between what you think, say, and do matters. I now recall that I didn't realize how something so small for me could actually hurt someone that much. I think I must delete that meme and no longer talk about it.
>> That's wonderful, Milani.
But I must say that unlike that other kid, I got the best shot on the team.
>> Do you hear yourself right now? That's called man, pride. It's one of the four kush eyes that clouds our judgment, pulling us away from our best selves. We are all as equally as good at basketball and deserve a chance.
>> You're right. I guess I just want to give the butt to myself, but that's not being a good team player. So, I will try to share more.
>> We all have gush eyes and the real teamwork is helping each other recognize and rise above them. That's what makes us its routine.
>> That was a creative meme. However, Melania and Abby were able to reflect, learn, and make a better choice. That was great to see. Now, let's see what the next group is going through.
Reva, is everything okay?
Look at everyone. They all seem happy like they have it all figured out. H I'm here if you want to talk to me. I guess that'll help. I have a friend at school who always seems supportive, but I overheard heard her saying I cheated on a test. I didn't. And it really hurt my feelings.
>> Well, is there any chance that you maybe misunderstood her? Maybe you only heard part of what she said.
Hm. I overheard it when I was walking past her during lunch. Part of me wants to walk away, but part of me still wants this friendship.
Then maybe you should talk to her directly. Give her a chance to explain and go with an open heart. Remember, Mavier Bagwan talks about Karuna, compassion, not just for strangers, but for the people closest to us, especially when they've hurt us.
But what if she gets upset and ends our friendship? I'll lose a good friend.
Well, if she is a true friend, then she'll appreciate you speaking with her directly, making the friendship a whole lot stronger. But if she gets defensive or dismisses you, you have your answer.
But no matter what she says, hold on to your satya, your own truth. You know, you didn't cheat and nothing changes that.
You know what? Just saying it out loud already makes it feel less heavy.
Thanks, Risha. I feel like I have a real approach to this instead of just going around in circles in my own head. Risha, Risha, you seem distracted. Looks like something's bothering you, too. Can I help?
I'm just stressing about my sophomore year classes and I want straight A's for a perfect GPA.
I can imagine maybe you can try meditating.
How is that going to help in this situation? Well, meditating helps you clear your mind of unwanted and draining thoughts. So, as your mind empties itself of these thoughts, your breath cycles deepen. You feel more clear-headed and you'll stop making decisions out of fear.
Wow, I never thought of meditation from this perspective. But what if I pick the right classes and still don't get straight A's? There goes my college career. In our lives, we should focus on putting in the hard work. Buddhart towards our goals and not the outcomes.
That's interesting, but also kind of freeing at the same time. But if I could control outcomes, I'd already have all of the money in the world, zero homework, and endless holidays.
>> Ha, that makes two of us, and an endless supply of clothes.
>> Wait, never mind. We just discussed a bar gra in the last class.
>> I'm so glad we could help each other today. You bet. Funny how we came in here with tons of problems and left with a lot more clarity.
Jinendra. Everyone wait a minute. You all look very happy and connected today. I can feel the difference in the room. Everyone is energetic and confident.
>> Oh yeah. We discussed situations we all are currently facing and were actually able to apply Jane values and principles that we learned here to come up with very positive solutions. Wow, it's so nice to know that Pshala is nurturing the next generation with right understanding that can be applied to such real life situations.
Thanks to you and to every teacher here over the years at Partala.
Sh.
Wow.
But then the music's playing my life.
>> Oh my gosh. Thank you. Thank you.
You know what? Tell them.
Um. Yes.
Hello everyone. I'd like to do my closing. Okay.
Wow. Now that's the impact of Pchala.
And just like that, one thought led to another. One conversation led to change and together they created a domino effect of positivity.
To join us our journey to learning Jane values, please speak to our pchala coordinators Janendra.
Wow, this skit is perfectly showing us how one small positive act can change everything. Isn't it? Yes. Why is the energy so low? I'm not going to speak.
It won't start. You won't get food.
Everyone? Yes. Was the skate good? There you go. Perfect. Now, what better way to celebrate devotion?
Okay. Okay, the Tangan team is very excited it seems.
Okay, now what better way to celebrate devotion than with the energy, rhythm and pure emotional JSDs.
They take immense pride in praising Bhagwan through their every dance beat, through every step they perform. After this, it's a choco.
